"Pluto, PLUTO get back here now, your gonna take someone's leg out with that massive stick." I shout, she's sprints back towards me with the stick in her mouth and drops it at my feet with the most adorable grin. How did I get so lucky to have her as my best friend. I mean I have other friends but no one quite as loyal and loving as her.

It's like she has some sort of sixth sense when it comes to how I feel, if I'm anxious or sad she just picks up on the que I wish I could do that. That way I could get out of so many embarrassing situations I could just pick up on all the social ques, that somehow I'm oblivious too, anyway let's get back on topic.

We're currently having her usual evening walk, due to the fact she's crazy and I want her to sleep and not be a hyperactive mess tonight. I've invited Emily round for dinner and I've decided to make lasagna and mash potato which is probably one of my top meal choices not only for the fact it tastes amazing but I find it relatively easy to make, god I love food. I slowly shake my head to get out of my day dream of food and look up to the sky, to see dark clouds forming. shit! Why did I forget a rain coat if this jumper gets wet it's gonna smell of wet dog.

" Pluto those clouds don't look good I bet it's gonna start raining soon. You wanna head back or do u wanna go to the pond and see the little ducklings I'm sure they're getting bigger." She's starts bouncing up and down and turning in a circle chasing her tail. How can I say no to that. I let out a small laugh "duck pond it is then."

We make our way over to the park bench which over looks the pond. It takes me a while but i spot the family of ducks just by the fallen tree in the pond, if I could I would love to raise a duckling I think I would call it Daphne, and we would all cuddle up by the fire place in the evenings.
"Look over there Pluto just under the log, can you see them?" she's looks up at me and gives me a small bark and I give her a scratch under her ear. "Good girl, let's head back now it's already started to rain and I need to prep for dinner."

By the time I made it back home I was soaked head to toe, oh well It's not the end of the world could of been worse I could have stacked it in the mud and had to walk back looking like a swamp monster. I got my keys which was hanging around my neck on a piece of rope and opened the door letting us in to our little safe haven. Now for the hardest task catch Pluto and dry her paws before she rampages around the house leaving her muddy foot prints everywhere.

"I swear if you move, little miss there will be hell to pay" I looking in her eyes there's a mischievous look "no,no ah shit" she sprints off down the hall. Luckily I shut all the doors down the hall so she didn't get far. "Gotcha, now stay still,it won't take long" I don't take to long to wipe her paws. "See all done now of ya go" now it's time for me to sort my self out.

On completion of me getting ready having changed into my favourite cream cardigan, white T-shirt, mint green skirt and my comfy socks with bunnies on them. I started to crack on and make dinner which surprisingly didn't take too long, with the lasagna put in the oven I head into the lounge to relax before Emily arrived.I just put on season 3 episode 2 of Friday night dinner before the door bell went off, speak of the devil and she shall arrive.

"Hey Em, how's it going ??"
"Not bad, long time no see"
"Your joking right I literally saw you 3 hrs ago at work" I giggled.

Just a bit of background knowledge I work in the local bakery which is where I met Emily. Our friendship formed due to a mutual dislike for one perticular person I don't wanna say hate cos hates kinda a strong word and I may like her eventually. With the amount Em's comes round she might as well live here.

"So what we having tonight ??" She asked me as we walked to the kitchen.
"Have a guess"
"I'm gonna say lasagna, am I right, please tell me I'm right"
"Really Is it that obvious ??"
"I mean I'm your best friend and I swear it's like all you eat" she laughs.
She is onto something maybe I should mix it up more often and make enchiladas tomorrow.
"Right well on that note you get the wine out, Ill grab the glasses and you can tell me all about the big news"

We're both now sat on the sofa infront of the fire place with a glass of white wine in our hands and a pot of ready salted crisps on the coffee table.
" Sooo what's the news" I ask as I snack on the crisps.
"Okay, well John's getting married and I really need you to come." Ah she knows I'm not particularly great at big gatherings. Sometimes the loud noises scare me and my anxiety goes through the roof. It's John's wedding I can't miss that he's like a brother to me.
"Okay"
"Before you say no, I promise I won't ask you to do anything ever again, like ever."
"Geez Em relax I said I'll go I wouldn't miss your brothers wedding for anything plus who's gonna embarrass you on the dance floor if not me."
"Ohh, we'll that was easy I thought I was gonna have to convince you more maybe even bribe you, anyway I was thinking we could pop to the shops to look at dresses tomorrow after work." 

Ahh the dreaded dress shopping I mean I loving getting new clothes but I hate the way I always start to feel body conscious when trying them on in the stores.
"Sounds good to me, you want a top up on the wine."
" The day I say no to that is the day you'll have put me in a care home."
"Your so dramatic pass me your glass."
I made my way back to the kitchen to top up the glasses and check on dinner, I bet it's ready now.
"Em can you set up the table please I'm just taking the lasagna out the oven."
"On it"

Once seated around the table we tucked into our meal.
"God this is good, this is why I always come round yours."
"Thanks I'm gonna try mixing it up more this week with the meals I'm thinking enchiladas maybe a red-Thai curry and other stuff ." I looked down beside me to see Pluto giving me puppy dog eyes so I'm obviously gonna give her some potato.
" okay so random thought I was thinking we could add like a little bit more cinnamon to our apple turnovers at work what do you think." I mean it could work but the thing with cinnamon it's difficult to gauge what the right amount is.
"Yeah it could work but obviously a couple practice runs are gonna have to be done before it goes on the counter, you know what Betty is like."
" I want nothing but the best,be better" Em mimickes in a high pitch annoying voice.
I let out a scoff " I can't wait till we've saved up enough for our own bakery, just think of all the new recipes we could try."
"Not long now tho, I looked and in 4 months time we will be able to put a deposit on that place a couple blocks down the road."
"Yeah we still need to come up with a name, you got any ideas??" I say while picking up our empty plates and putting them in the dish washer.
"Ummm No not yet but we've still got time" Em shouts as she heads to the lounge with the rest of the bottle of wine.

"Pluto, UP" Pluto jumps up on the sofa and curls up in a ball on the blanket with her teddy bear hanging from her mouth.
" aww isn't she just the cutest but you know you spoil her to much."
"No I don't, I just want her to be happy cos she's just so damn adorable. Anyway what do you wanna watch??"
"I don't know why don't we just scroll through Netflix and have a look." Well this will be fun we're gonna scroll for about 15 mins before we decide on Friday night dinner or Gilmore girls.
"Gilmore girls??"
"Yeah Gilmore girls" I dim the lights down just to make it more cosy and snuggled under the blanket.
"We need to get out more it's Friday night, We could be partying." 
" I'd rather not this is more me and Pluto's speed ya know, but if you wanna you can always go out and crash here after."
"Nah you'd know I wouldn't go out without you it wouldn't be the same."

After that we watched Gilmore girls in silence, god I love this show it's just such a feel good easy watch and I would love to live in that town, everyone is so nice and approachable I mean it's like that here but the sense of community is nowhere near the same.

"Right I better head off, I didn't relise the time." Oh shit she's not wrong I gotta feeling she's gonna be late tomorrow now.
"Yeah okay, drive safe and I'll see ya at work tomorrow. Don't be late you know your opening up."
"I won't love ya"
"Love ya too Em, bye." I shut the door behind her and start getting ready for bed. 
I turned the tv off and headed up the stairs with Pluto trailing  behind me.
I changed into my PJs, brushed my teeth and snuggled into my bed I swear this is my favourite place if I was to die I thinking here would be the place. Wrapped up in pure bliss.
Pluto ran to her bed and curled up.
"Night Pluto, sweet dreams." She gave me a soft bark before slowly closing her eyes and falling asleep.

I slowly stated to fall into a deep sleep dreaming of the beautiful bakery I'm gonna help set up and all the sweet treats we're gonna sell from the counter.
