Beep! Here comes another update from my good friend, Alphys.

ALPHYS updated status:

ALPHYS: I HATE USING THE PHONE I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS LOL ^.^

I sigh and, after putting down the phone, I continue walking through the scorching heat of Hotland. The red hot lava, bubbled below me with dangerous pops once in awhile. The ground hard but has a thin layer of orange dusty sand. In the mixture, something catches my eye: grey substance mixed with the sand. I bend to my knees and grab a handful of it, watching as the dry winds pick up the dust and scattering.

'Looks like Flowey has been pretty busy. Not for long though.' I growl to myself as I stood up and marched on the path. In front of me lies some sort of puzzle. Like in Waterfall, I assumed no one was here and I would be fine. Well, this place had other ideas. I was, immediately, thrown into a fight with.............a plane? It had a wig and seemed to be looking at me, meanly.

¨Hey, why are you looking at me like that?!¨ I ask, a little worried that I did something that might've offended the monster.

¨No way! Like I would like you?!¨ she(?), screeched and mini planes started to attack me. I duck away from an incoming plane and roll my way from the others. Tsunderplane, which I found out from the CHECK icon, shook her nose dismissively at me. I'm not into planes so she really has nothing to worry about.

¨Umm. I don't want to be enemies. Can't we be friends?¨ I ask, approaching her slowly. She seemed a little taken back.

¨Eeeeh? H-human......?¨ Tsunderplane stutters and attacks me with more planes. However, they had green on them so, thinking it was like the Vegetoid, I approached the green. She seemed happy but shakes her nose dismissively. 'Man, she REALLY doesn't want to be friends.' I mutter to myself. I continued to approach her until she, finally, allows me to spare her. Without hesitation, I do and Tsunderplane flies away. Geez, that was weird. I walk towards the puzzle, wanting to understand what it is. Suddenly, as I stepped on it, there was a loud puffing sound and I was boosted into the sky. I gasp and close my eyes, waiting to hit the ground. Somehow, I landed on my own two feet and, opening my eyes to see if I'm fine, I shrug it off.

Despite how scary it seemed, it was also.....thrilling. Feeling free as you soar through the sky. Even if it is only temporarily. I felt so giddy when I saw more and I, joyfully, stepped on every single one of them. I giggled and squealed. I felt like I was a child again! However, when I got to the ground, I fell on my bum. I grunt in pain and, picking myself up, I rub my now sore behind.

ALPHYS updated status:

ALPHYS: omg ive had my claw over the last digit for 5 minutes. omg i'm just gonna do it i'm just gonna call!!!!!!!

Impatiently, I skim through the message and put my device back into my pocket. I run towards the next one and laugh as the machinery fires into the air onto the nearest plot of land. I giggled and was about to run to see if there are any more when my phone started ringing. I hesitated, not really feeling up to picking up the phone. But................. Then, the person hung up? Welp, I wasted my time on a delayed phone call. I ran towards the next room, internally hoping there were more. But, at last, my fun was put on hold as the room was full of lasers. I could feel the grin on my face fall into a frown. I gulped as I watched the intimidating lasers.

Then, once again, my phone started to ring and I picked it up in the knick of time. It was Alphys.

¨Hey Alphys! How ya doing?¨

¨Uhh! H-hi, so, the blue lasers....Uhh! I mean, Alphys here! Hi! The blue lasers won't hurt you if you don't move! O-orange ones, um......Y-you have to be moving, and they.......um, they won't, um.......Move through those ones!¨ she stutters.

¨Oh, okay. Thanks!¨

¨Uhh, bye!¨ she hangs up abruptly. I hear more beeping from the social network but decide to ignore them. I move towards the two orange lasers and stopped in front of the moving blue ones. 'Heh, it's a piece of cake!.........Aw man! Now, I'm hungry for cake, now!' I scold myself as my stomach made a growling sound. Even when my stomach was yelling at me for food, I still completed the puzzle without a scratch. I'm glad I have someone like Alphys to help me out. Otherwise............... Otherwise, I would be burnt toast!

¨Gah! Stop thinking about food!¨ I groan to myself as I continued along the orange road. I walked forward, ignoring the status updates Alphys is constantly making. As I approach a series of puzzles, I get a phone call from Alphys.

¨A-A-Alphys here!!!!¨

¨You know you don't have to tell me it's you, right? You're LITERALLY the only person who would call me.¨

¨O-Oh r-right!¨ She stutters, sheepishly. ¨A-Anyways! Th.......the northern door will stay locked until you.........S-solve the puzzles on the left and right!¨

¨Alright, any idea to which direction I should go first?¨

¨I......I think you sh-should g-g-go to the right first!¨ Then, she hangs up. I watch the little plate as the arrow changes directions. Then, as it gets to the right, I step on it and fly to the right door. I didn't bother waiting and waltz right in there where an 80's looking puzzle is waiting for me. There were two sets of 2 white blocks and a black arrow facing the white arrow in front of me. It had a sort of 'Galaga' concept. I know this because I've seen it in that movie, 'Pixels'. You know, the one with Adam Sandler and Kevin James. Any who.

I see a note on my left and, quickly, skimmed through the words. According to what I read, it says I need to shoot the opposing ship by moving the blocks to get a bulls-eye. 'Seem simple enough' I tell myself as I stood behind my ship. As I put my hand on the lever, I move it to the right and watch as the unnoticeable blocks in front of me slide in unison. I catch on and start fiddling with the lever. It is sort of like a brain teaser. Like a Rubix cube! Except this seems, surprisingly, relaxing.

I look to the right of my screen and spot two red dots that resembled lasers. I bite my lip and start thinking. It is impossible to move both of them away from the middle since they both move together but......What if I leave one block in the middle? It's best to try. Who knows if this might work! I could be ruining my chances. I try it anyway. I shoot and the block disappears. Easy.

Then, I clicked the red 'Fire' button once more and watch as the ship rips apart from the impact. Feeling joyful, I fist-pump.

¨Yes!¨ I run out of there and go to the left, doing the same. However, I get a call from Alphys.

¨Alphys! Here! Th-that blue laser seems totally impassable! B-b-but! As the Royal Scientist, I h-have some tricks up my sleeve! I'll h-hack into th-the Hotland laser database and take it out!¨ As soon as she hangs up, the blue laser, that I failed to notice, disappears. On the other side, a green female fire-monster is standing at the edge; absent-mindly. On the other side, a purple female monster stood with her right foot planted on her skateboard. I smiled, relieved that not everyone is missing. I wave to them and the green monster waves back, walking towards me.

¨Finally! Someone turned off that laser! Now that we're free we can..............Well, uh, I guess we'll just keep standing here.¨

I giggled. ¨Well, I'm Lily.¨

¨Fuku Fire! Nice to meet you, Lily. You know..¨ she trailed, ¨my dad said something about a girl like you!¨

¨Oh? Well, maybe I know you're dad. Who is he?¨

She looks down, shyly, and nudges the ground with her left foot. ¨Well............he works at Snowdin. That's all I can tell you.¨ Realization hits me like a freight train.

¨You're dad is.............Grillby?¨ She nods and walks off, the purple monster girl skating after her. I blink a few times before I mumble something.

¨Grillby has a daughter?!¨ I know that shouldn't be surprising but...........this is Grillby! He just gives the impression of being the................not-so-father persona. You know? I sigh. 'Well, things are gonna surprise me more than others. Like that background story time with Sans..........' Wait. If Sans wanted to confront me, where is he? Suddenly, I feel something grab my ankle and I scream.

My body, getting engulfed by darkness.

¨NOT AGAIN. NOT AGAIN. NOT AGAIN!!!!¨ I screech, seeing the all familiar pale hand of the being from before.

¨☹︎✋︎☹︎✡︎.............✏︎¨ the being spoke and it dragged me into the eternal abyss. Despite being dragged by a creature from darkest pit of nightmares, I felt calm. Like..........I know this creature. That was my last thought before I blackout, falling down into this........Void.
