¨Ugh! Finally, I thought I was going to be stuck in there!¨ I giggled, rubbing my sore back. Sans chuckled at my words and pointed to the direction Papyrus went to.

¨you outghta get going. he might come back. and if he does..............you'll have to sit through more of my hilarious jokes.¨ He finished with a wink. I laughed at his comment. ¨I don't think that is such a bad......PUN-ishment.¨ I replied with a smirk. He lets out a small chuckle. ¨good one, kiddo.¨

¨Hey, I am PRACTICALLY an adult! So, don't call me 'kiddo'!¨ I playfully pouted, which earned an amused look from the pun-making skeleton and pat on the head.

¨right, and i'm just a human in a skeleton costume.¨ he says, sarcastically with a lazy grin. ¨come on, we oughta get going.¨ he suggested and started walking to the direction Papyrus went to. I stood there; unsure if I should fully trust him with showing me where to go. I mean, sure Sans seems like a laid-back and cool skeleton; but how do I know he won't lead me into a trap? Flowey is a monster, right? And HE tried to kill me! How do I know the same thing won't happen. I didn't realize I was just standing there, mumbling to myself until Sans snapped his fingers in my face. I shook my head aggressively and looked at the skeleton. I'm surprised he is about my height, maybe a little bigger. (Yes, she is slightly smaller than the average woman. Don't ask)¨Oh! S-Sorry!¨ I squeak, embarrassed about me spacing out. I really need to control that.

He gave a small smirk. ¨what's the holdup? look, there's nothin to be afraid of. it's just a dark cavern filled with skeletons and horrible monsters.¨ he said, jokingly. 'Gee, that doesn't sound so bad.' Chara replied sarcastically. I internally scowled at her. Now she comes! Where was she when I needed her most?! 'Where were you?!' 'Calm down, ¨mom¨. I was just gone for some time. I don't like seeing Toriel.' I growled at her and focused my attention back on Sans, showing a playful scowl. ¨Thanks. That makes this place not so scary to a defenseless girl.¨ I chuckled out. He just grinned and I walked away, going down the path where Papyrus took. Suddenly, I felt Sans grab me; trying to get my attention. I turned to the skeleton. ¨You need somthin'?¨

¨actually, hey.............hate to bother ya, but can you do me a favor?¨ he asked. ¨Sure, ask away.¨ I replied, happily. 'If I were you, I wouldn't help that smiling trash bag.' 'Oh and why not?' I asked, daring her to continue. ¨you okay, kid?¨ Sans asked, a little concerned. I returned my attention to the lazybones and smiled, nodding. ¨Just having an internal conflict. You were saying?¨ He eyed me carefully but decided not to push it and continue what he was going to say.

¨i was thinking...........my brother's been kind of down lately.....he's never seen a human before. and seeing you might just make his day. don't worry, he's not dangerous. even if he tries to be.¨ he asked, nervously. 'Aw! What a sweet brother! Papyrus is lucky to have Sans as a brother!' I chirped happily in my head. I just hope he is as harmless as Sans made him to be. 'He may be harmless, but you are going to want to kill him once you meet him.' 'But, Papyrus doesn't sound like a bad person. A little too self-confident but just super sweet!' Chara growled in defeat. 'Whatever you say, Lily.'

¨Sure why not? If seeing me would make him happy, I'll do it!¨

¨thanks a million. i'll be up ahead.¨ he said. Sans gave a farewell and went into the dense, bare forest to his left. My brows furrowed in concern. 'He does know where to go, right?' 'I could care less.' the child grumbled, making me sigh at their insolence. After picking up my still excellent condition bag, I started trekking deeper into the snowy path. After leaving the area with the sentry station, I made it to an area that takes me in two directions: there was a path that goes north and another one that goes east. But, before I chose any path, I went to the little yellow star that, from what Toriel taught me, would save my 'progress'. I clicked it and I thought how convenient that station was; making me filled with Determination. After saving my progress, I looked at my surroundings and wondered how these pine trees were able to survive underground, without any light. It is quite peculiar and made me wonder how these monsters are EVEN surviving, well, except for Toriel.

I spotted the little chest to the right and, as I was about to go towards it, I was confronted by a monster. It looked like a strange yet interestingly decorate bird with teeth......... Wait, can birds have teeth? I shrugged the thought off, after all, anything can happen down here. I identified the monster as a Snowdrake and checked his ATK, DEF, and other information I can find on him.

¨'Chill' out.........¨ the bird said, throwing what looked like ice boomerangs. Surprisingly, I dodged all his attacks with ease. Snow drake started freaking out but I don't understand why, so I decide to laugh at his previous pun. He seemed to appreciate it and started talking to me excitedly. ¨See!? Laughs! Dad was wrong!¨ he said and threw more boomerangs at me. I was able to dodge most of them while one would've hit me if I wasn't paying attention. The Snow drake seemed pleased by how good his joke was, which made me happy. Something about his humor made me think about Ethan. I cracked a small smile at the memory of my foster dad. But, I have to stay focused on the task at hand; which is to show mercy to all monsters and help them return to the Surface.

Because Snow drake no longer wanted to fight me, I spared him and, after exchanging a few jokes, went our separate ways. 'GOD! Did you have to encourage that pun-loving goose?!' 'Yes, Chara. It's the right thing to do.' It was silent for a few minutes until she finally spoke up again. 'You're kindness is not going to get you far. You'll see. Asgore is not going to be swayed so easily.' she stated, bitterly. She does have a point, the king may not be as merciful as the other monsters. He may be a lot harder to convince my innocence and help his subjects make peace with the humans. I walked up to the chest and decided that I didn't need my coat since I am accustomed to the cold; leaving it in the chest for later. To the north I could see a river and a stick out of the snow. To the east, the path continues on and I hear talking on the other side. I could faintly hear Sans' voice and, because he is there, walked to the east path. When getting there, I could see Sans and another skeleton, which I am guessing is his brother, Papyrus. They didn't seem to hear my crunching footsteps and continued their conversation. Papyrus was taller than his brother and seemed more 'formal' than Sans. He wore what looked like battle armor and a red-orange scarf around his neck. To be honest, he looked like someone that is part of this 'Royal Guard' club thing.

¨SO, AS I WAS SAYING ABOUT UNDYNE,¨ Papyrus was conversating but turned around and seemed to notice me. Sans knew I was there and he and Papyrus continued to look at each other and me, rhythmically. 'I guess they're surprised to see me.' I thought to myself, chuckling. I tried adjusting my shirt so that it will cover the rip in my jeans. Suddenly, they both turned their back to me and began to conversate once again.

¨SANS!! OH MY GOD!! IS THAT.........A HUMAN?!?!??!?!" Papyrus asked his smaller brother, excitedly. They went back to looking in my direction and I fiddled with my fingers, nervously. Sans gave me a wink and went to gaze at his brother.

¨uhhhh..........actually, i think that's a rock.¨ Sans responded, cheekily. I let out a quiet chuckle. I turned around to see a rock behind me. 'Well, I guess Papyrus didn't notice me.' I concluded to myself. Papyrus oh-ed in realization; making me feel bad for the tall skeleton. Then, Sans pointed towards me and responded to his brother.

¨hey, what's that in front of the rock?' Sans questioned, trying to see if Papyrus could see me clearly. The taller skeleton gasped. ¨OH MY GOD!!!¨ he yelled, then, looked at his brother. ¨(IS .....IS THAT A HUMAN)¨ ¨(yes)¨

Papyrus seemed thrilled by Sans' confirmation that I was a human and exclaimed happily, ¨SANS! I FINALLY DID IT!! UNDYNE WILL........I'M GONNA.........I'LL BE SO..........POPULAR!!! POPULAR!!! POPULAR!!!¨ I smiled and laughed at the eccentric skeleton's reaction. To be honest, he seems like the person that wouldn't hurt a human. He just wants to have friends! Papyrus cleared his throat and looked at me with determination in his eyes.

¨HUMAN! YOU SHALL NOT PASS THIS AREA! I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WILL STOP YOU!!! I WILL, THEN, CAPTURE YOU! YOU WILL BE DELIVERED TO THE CAPITAL! THEN.......THEN!!! I'M NOT SURE WHAT'S NEXT. IN ANY CASE! CONTINUE.... ONLY IF YOU DARE!!!¨ he finished, laughing victoriously like he just caught me; leaving me and Sans, alone. 'Wow. That was......something.' 'Yea, tell me about it. What a nut job!' I rolled my eyes at the child and looked up at Sans, who was staring back at me. He rubbed the back of his neck and spoke, after some seconds later. ¨well, that went well. don't sweat it, kid. i'll keep an eye socket out for ya.' he said, winking once again before leaving to where his brother went running to. After Sans left, I sighed and smiled at the skele-bros.

'Don't get too attached. Sans will probably kill you in a heartbeat!' Chara sang mockingly.

'How do you know that? You're in my head, so you know nothing about Sans or Papyrus! In fact, you know nothing at all!!'

'Tsk, tsk! Don't you remember? I am the child of Asgore. That means I know every. single. monster! So, I DO know more than you!' she laughed.

'We'll see about that.' I growled at her, making my way down the path Papyrus and Sans went. I know monsters would never hurt a human, especially Toriel. Especially Papyrus. Especially Napstablook!.....................

¨Especially Sans.¨ I mumbled to myself, looking down at the cold snow under my feet and the smell of pie in the air. ¨I won't give up on anyone, even if some monsters tried to kill me. I'll even spare Flowey if I have to!!¨ I told myself.
