I literally didn't speak to anyone for the rest of the afternoon. I have never worked so fast in my whole life. I had sheets of paper all over my desk, about a zillion tabs open on my laptop and I was firing emails back and forth to the Sales department like there was no tomorrow. Sarah brought me regular cups of tea and I smiled gratefully each time a fresh one appeared on my desk.

I started tidying up about quarter to five and packed my laptop into its carry case. I knew I'd have to be up early to finish the last few things off but I had got loads of it done. As soon as the clock turned 5pm I stood up and began slipping my arms into the sleeves of my coat, and was walking towards the door when Gary called, "oohh someone's on a promise!"

"I'd love to stay and take the piss out of you Gary, but I have a date," I said, rolling my eyes and opening the door.

"I knew it!" he called, standing up and following me, pulling his coat on as he came. Sarah was close behind.

"Have you really got a date, Jess?" Sarah asked. I was walking quickly through reception now and they were both half-jogging to keep up with me.

"Yep," I replied, blushing.

"Blimey, she must be keen, the speed she's walking," Gary said to Sarah. He turned to me. "It's not Harry Styles is it?" They both laughed as my face turned crimson.

"Yes, that's exactly it, I have a date with Harry Styles," I said in a sarcastic tone, knowing they would never guess I was actually serious. I pulled open the main door, walked down the steps and turned in the direction of the tube.

"Have fun!" Gary called after me and I turned briefly to see them standing on the pavement waving and grinning.

"Thanks!" I called back and began to jog towards the station.

The platform was rammed. I pushed my way to the front, ignoring the glares and tutts I was getting. I didn't care. I needed as long as possible to get ready.

It was 5.45 when I opened the door to my flat and dumped my bag and laptop on the table. I had no idea where we were going so I didn't know what to wear, but in my head I had a couple of outfits planned. I headed into my bedroom and opened my wardrobe. I flipped through everything and settled on a tight black dress, bare legs, chunky jewellery and a blazer. I threw on some quick-dry fake tan so I wouldn't look too pasty, and then once it was safe to wash it off I jumped in the shower and washed my hair. I wrapped myself in a towel when I got out and dried my hair, curling it into soft waves. This always took ages and it was almost 7.30 by the time I was finished. I pulled on the dress and began applying my make up. I don't usually wear much, but I wanted to make it look like I had made an effort. I was ready by 7.45 so I had a quick tidy round and went and stood by the window, peeking out to see if I could see him arrive. About five to eight a black Range Rover pulled into the car park and my stomach began turning somersaults. I checked my reflection one last time and tried to wipe the nervous look from my face. My flat buzzer went so I pressed the button to release the door and said through the intercom, "come on up, straight up the stairs."

I took a deep breath and opened the door to my flat in time to see him walking up the stairs. My jaw nearly hit the floor. He was wearing his trademark black skinny jeans, beige boots and an off-white shirt that was partially unbuttoned. He looked like a God.

His eyes met mine and I felt that familiar jolt of electricity. He smiled at me. "You look amazing," he said.

"Thanks," I said. "Come in." He followed me into the flat and waited while I closed the curtains and switched the TV off. I picked up my bag and keys and smiled at him again. "Ok, ready."

We left the flat and I locked the door behind us, and tried to stop my legs from shaking as we walked down the stairs. Harry held the door open for me when we got to the bottom and I acknowledged it was a soft "thanks."

He led the way to his car, blipped it open and opened the passenger door for me. I got in and he closed it behind me. While he scooted round to the driver's side I took a deep shaky breath and had an OMG moment to myself. Last time I was sitting here Harry had been kissing me. Probably not the best idea to be thinking about that right now, I told myself.

The driver's door opened and Harry got in. He looked over at me and smiled as he started the car.

"So where are we going?" I asked.

"A place called C London," he replied. "It's not too far from here and it does great food. Are you hungry?"

"Actually I am," I said, surprised at how hungry I felt now that food had been mentioned.

"You sound surprised," he remarked, glancing over at me.

I laughed. "I wasn't feeling hungry until you mentioned it," I confessed. "But I didn't really have much lunch."

"Why not?" he asked.

"Oh, some guy was texting me through my lunch break," I said airily, sneaking a glance at him.

He smirked. "Really? Who?"

"Just some guy," I replied. "He's in a band."

"A band? That's cool. Is he hot?"

I faltered. I didn't have a comeback for that. I looked over at him, and he grinned at me with raised eyebrows. "Err.. uhh...," I stammered and he started to laugh. "He clearly thinks he is," I teased.

"And what do you think?" he pressed, obviously enjoying watching me squirm.

"I think you should stop asking me these sorts of questions," I replied, smiling so he knew I was joking.

"Don't start what you can't finish," he teased.

"Ok, ok, you win that one," I conceded. "So how has your week been?" I asked quickly before he could think up anything else that would embarrass me.

"Really good," he said. "I managed to catch up with my family, and some old friends, which was really nice. And I took my mum out for dinner, just me and her. That was good."

"Yeah, I saw the pictures," I admitted. "When did you get back to London?"

"This afternoon," he replied. "I left just after lunch, I drove down by myself, went and dumped my stuff at home, packed my case ready for tomorrow then came out to pick you up."

"Oh yeah, you're leaving tomorrow aren't you," I said. "Are you looking forward to it?"

"Yeah mostly," he nodded. "Zayn's been stressed out lately which hasn't been great, but hopefully the break has done him good and he'll be back on form." It was the first time since we'd first met that he'd directly mentioned his bandmates. It felt weird; it was strange enough being around Harry after being a fan for so long, but it was even stranger hearing him refer to the others as though they were just regular guys, as opposed to members of the biggest boyband in the world.

"Where's your first stop?" I asked.

"Singapore," he said. "But the show isn't until Tuesday, so we'll have a couple of days to acclimatise first."

"Wow," I said. "It must be amazing to get to see so many places. What's been your favourite?"

"Yeah it is," he nodded. "I dunno, there are so many beautiful places in the world. I don't know if I could pick just one. Australia was amazing, and I love New York, LA..." he smiled at me. "Sorry for being vague."

"Not at all," I said. "Do you get much time to look around?"

"Sometimes. It just depends on our schedule. When we get breaks between shows it's good, but sometimes we literally do one show and we fly off somewhere else the next day."

"Sounds hectic!" I said.

"Yeah, it is," he agreed. "But I love it."

We pulled up at some traffic lights and a car drew alongside us to the left. I heard a scream, and the someone shouted, "It is! I told you! It's Harry Styles!" I looked out of the window and saw a car with 3 girls, with their windows wound down. I nudged Harry and inclined my head to my window, and he leaned forward to look around me. The girls in the car all screamed. Harry grinned and waved, and I couldn't help but grin too; the girls were going crazy. The girl in the driver's seat produced a pen and a piece of paper and was waving them frantically.

"I think she wants an autograph," I said.

"Do you mind if I wind the window down?" Harry asked.

"No course not!" I said, taken aback that he had even asked me. He pressed a button and my window slid down. I reached out and took the paper and pen from the girl.

"Oh my God, thank you so much!" she squealed.

"What's your name?" Harry called.

"Sophie," she called back, now nearly hysterical.

Harry quickly wrote a message on the piece of paper and signed it, then passed the pen and paper back to me. I handed them to the girl who was now in tears. "Thank you so much, I love you!" she called to Harry.

"No problem," he said, and the lights changed. "Drive safely," he called, as he slipped the car into gear and moved off. He pressed a button and my window went up.

"That was nice," I said.

"If it wasn't for the fans I wouldn't have this job," he said. "It's a nice feeling to be able to make someone happy like that."

"Awww," I said, unable to help myself. He was such a nice guy.

We turned off the road and went down a ramp into an underground car park. Harry pulled into a space. He killed the engine and the lights in the car came on. "There might be some paparazzi outside," he said. "Just ignore them, keep looking straight ahead. I'll guide you in."

"Um, ok," I said.

"Are you ok?" he asked.

"Yeah fine," I said, unclipping my seatbelt. "It's just nerve-wracking."

He smiled. "It'll be fine once we're inside. And it's a Thursday so they might not even be there."

He climbed out of the car and came round to open my door for me. He held his hand out for me and I took it as I climbed out. Damn, I'd forgotten how soft his hands were. He led the way up a pedestrian ramp and round a corner, then said, "Damn, they're there. Will you be ok?" he asked, turning to me.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I replied, and we walked along the pavement. Up ahead I could see a few photographers. They caught sight of us immediately and began snapping pictures and shouting Harry's name. Their camera flashes were blinding. I kept my gaze averted the whole time, and I felt Harry's hand on the small of my back as he guided me to the right and up some steps. He quickened his pace so he could get the door for me, and ushered me inside.
