#22 : Round 2

Harry woke up from his short sleep. Harry couldn't sleep all night. Since his conversation with Taylor before Taylor slept, Harry really kept thinking about Taylor's words. Everything will never be the same again. That single sentence really hurt and stung Harry. It's as if he's the cause and reason on why they'll never be the same again.

Harry only slept for less than three hours. Harry woke up at seven in the morning and he didn't found Taylor anywhere in the room. Last night, Taylor slept with her back facing at Harry, it was as if she didn't want to deal or to face directly at Harry. Normally, Taylor would have slept in Harry's arms and in that position too, usually Harry could've slept soundly, but that didn't happen last night.

The brown curly-haired young man took a shower first before walking out of the room, and walking down the stairs and found his grandmother sitting quietly in the dining room.

Grandma briefly glanced at Harry before returning to her eat her breakfast this morning, which was buttered toast. Harry sighed in resignation. Harry knew that his grandmother was still furious at him. Harry's mistakes have included fatal mistakes. Harry could clearly see that Grandma liked Taylor very much. Grandma must've loved Taylor very much and she hated what Harry had done yesterday.

"Morning, Grandma."

Harry decided to try to act normal, and greeted Grandma while pulling the chair beside her. Grandma seemed to ignore Harry and Harry tried to understand. Silence fell between them, until finally Anne appeared, carrying a few pieces of new toast on a large plate.

"Good morning, Harry." Anne greeted at Harry, putting the large plate filled with toast in front of Harry. Harry smiled thinly.

"Good morning, have you seen Taylor?" Harry asked which made Anne raise an eyebrow.

"Taylor? I haven't seen her. I just recently came downstairs, just like you." Anne pulled the chair next to Harry and sat there. Harry let out a disappointed sigh.

"Oh, okay, thank you." Harry reached for one of the buttered toast and ate it slowly.

"So I'm guessing that you managed to convince Taylor to stay? She won't return to Nashville, right?" Anne asked, trying to speak calmly, even though she realized that this conversation was truly sensitive. Harry smiled thinly and shook his head.

"I don't know. Taylor said she wouldn't go last night and now I don't know where she is. I don't know what to do." Grandma glanced at Harry who looked very weak.

"Come on, everything will be fine. Today, you need some rest. You look like a mess. I'll call Robin to manage the company." Anne said as Harry nodded resignedly.

Grandma still kept staring at her beloved grandson. In fact, in her heart, Grandma also felt guilty for being and acting cold to Harry. But at the same time, she doesn't want to act too weak or too forgiving because what Harry did was quite unforgivable.

Grandma cleared her throat briefly, making Harry and Anne turn towards her. Without looking at Harry and Anne, Grandma said, "Taylor asked for permission if she could go to the supermarket this morning, and I told her she can go."

Grandma took a deep breath and let out a slow breath before adding, "And I asked Adam to accompany her." Harry gritted his teeth at the what Grandma added.

━━

"Taylor,"

Taylor, who was currently pushing the shopping cart, stopped and turned back to look at the tall figure of the young man who had been whining at her. Taylor rolled her eyes.

"What is it, Adam?" Taylor asked, sarcastically. Adam stepped closer and snorted.

"You're walking too fast. Didn't you listen to what I said?" Adam asked, looking slightly annoyed.

Taylor shook her head. "Didn't I told you? If you want to talk everything that concerns Harry, now is not the right time. I don't want to hear it at all."

Taylor turned and returned to pushing the shopping cart. Adam paused for a moment and sighed before walking briskly, trying to compensate for Taylor's sizable steps.

"But at the very least, you should listen carefully. This is very important. I just want to tell you." Adam said, while continuing to try to keep pace with Taylor's steps. Taylor shook her head again briefly.

"Whatever it is, if what you're going to talk about Harry, I don't care at all."

"He's your husband."

"I know." Taylor answered curtly.

"Don't you care about him? If you care, you should listen to me, it'll be just for a minute." Adam begged. Taylor snorted and stopped again. Taylor glared at Adam.

"Adam, I thought you were a nice guy, but it turns out you're just like Harry. You two are both annoying."

With that sentence, Taylor turned back and fastened her pace, heading to the cashier to pay for all the groceries.

━━

After breakfast, Harry returned to his room. Harry sat on the edge of the bed, staring around at his room with a blank stare. Harry's mind suddenly imagined on what Taylor and Adam could possibly be doing right now.

Yes, Harry knows that Grandma just asked the two of them to shop together. But still, it really bothered Harry's mind! First, his relationship with Taylor is very tenuous. Second, the relationship between Taylor and Adam seems to be getting closer. Third, Harry hates seeing Taylor near Adam. Fourth, Harry is afraid that Adam will ruin his relationship with Taylor, just what like Adam did to destroy their friendship.

Harry shook his head, trying to shake off his bad thoughts about Adam. A vibration managed to make Harry forget his fleeting bad thoughts about Adam. Harry turned and found a phone that was turned on and vibrating on the bedside table. Harry moved to reach the vibrating phone.

It was Taylor's cellphone.

Harry sighed. Taylor probably forgot to bring her cellphone or she probably deliberately and intentionally didn't bring her phone with her. Harry doesn't really care right now.

Harry unlocks Taylor's cellphone screen, and of course Harry knows Taylor's phone password, and he saw the incoming message popped up in the notification, but he didn't read and opened the message yet, Harry instead focused and stared at the wallpaper that Taylor applied on her cellphone.

A smile appeared on Harry's lips. Taylor hasn't changed the wallpaper for the past month. It was a picture of him facing Taylor, their noses touching. Harry had a sarcastic face, while Taylor had a playful annoyed look on her face. This was one of Harry's favorite photos of them together.

The smile on Harry's lips vanished when he heard the sound of the door creaking open. Taylor entered the room, carrying a plastic grocery bag in her hand. Taylor glanced at Harry briefly, before turning away her face and placed the grocery bags on the bed.

"You left without telling me." Harry broke the silence between them.

"You were still sleeping." Taylor answered curtly.

"You could've woke me up, Taylor. So that Grandma doesn't have to ask my annoying cousin to accompany you."

Harry placed Taylor's cellphone on the table and Taylor just realized that. Taylor squinted.

"What were you doing with my phone?" Taylor said coldly and sternly. Harry held his breath. God, Harry didn't know what he has to do to get Taylor's warm and bubbly voice back.

Harry shook his head. "I didn't do anything. Your phone vibrated earlier and a message came in. I intended to open it, but you came back." Harry answered, as honestly as possible. Taylor reaches for her phone and opens the message. Taylor held her breath for a moment before turning her gaze back to Harry.

"Don't touch my stuff again. Don't touch things that aren't yours."

Harry choked. What the heck did just happened? Did Taylor threatened him? How can she do that?

Before Harry could respond, Taylor had already quickly walked away to leave the room. Leaving Harry staring in the direction of the door that Taylor had passed miserably. Harry closed his eyes and ruffled his hair.

"God, this hurts too much!" Harry pulled his own hair in frustration. Taylor had never treated Harry this coldly.

Taylor leaned her back against the wall next to the door of their bedroom. Taylor closed her eyes. Taylor heard Harry's voice earlier, he was complaining to God about how this was hurting him. Taylor realized that she had probably gone too far.

Besides, Taylor just didn't want Harry to know what messages were on her phone. They were messages from an unknown sender. The sender of the message sent a message a few months ago, and now that unknown sender is now sending messages again.

And the strange message read; Round two is still in progress.
