#19 : I Trust Him

Harry Styles walked slowly up the staircase before stopping right in front of the door of his and Taylor's bedroom. Harry held his breath and exhaled slowly.

His hand reached for the doorknob to open the door slowly. Harry smiled thinly when he found Taylor, who appeared to have fallen asleep, with her back turned on the bed. Harry entered their room, and closed and locked the door to their room again.

The curly brown-haired man stared at his wife's back for a few moments, before taking off the suit and tie that he was wearing. While he was still wearing a white shirt with three unbuttoned buttons, Harry walked to the closet and reached for his pajamas. After reaching for his pajamas, Harry entered the bathroom, to take a shower and clean himself up.

When Harry entered the bathroom and locked it from the inside, Taylor woke up from sleep. Taylor changed her position, and sat on the bed, occasionally staring at the closed bathroom door.

For the past few days, Harry always came home late and Taylor would always fall asleep when he returned. So specifically today, Taylor deliberately took a nap and drank a full glass of coffee so she could stay awake until he comes home. The end result? Taylor was awake, but she was still sleepy. Taylor tried to defeat her sleepiness until she could meet and see Harry. She wanted to meet her husband because it already seems like a long time since Taylor welcomed Harry back from work.

Shortly thereafter, the bathroom door opened. Harry goes outside and he was already wearing pajamas with a towel which he uses to dry his damp hair. Taylor looked at Harry. It took a few moments before Harry finally noticed Taylor's gaze.

Harry, who originally stood with his back facing their bed, began to turn and look at his wife with a smile on his lips.

"Evening, Mrs. Styles." Harry said, with his hands still busy moving and drying his hair with use of the towel.

Taylor folded her arms in front of her chest. "Evening, Mr. Styles. Came home late again, eh?" Taylor asked, sounding more like innuendo.

"Yes, lately, I have a lot of work. Some large companies are applying for cooperation contracts with Styles Enterprise so, of course, this is a good opportunity, right?"

Taylor nodded. "It's true this is a good opportunity, and I'm happy for you. But in my opinion, it's better if you limit yourself from too much work. Don't overdo your work without taking some rest." Harry smiled at Taylor's words. Harry knew where Taylor was going.

Harry tossed the towel randomly on a nearby table before climbing onto the bed. Harry approached Taylor and sat beside her on the bed.

"You missed me, eh?" Harry teased. Taylor scoffed and shook her head quickly.

"No, not at all."

Harry chuckled. "Oh, come on, Mrs. Styles. You probably missed me, right? You can't lie to me at all. Surely you feel like my time is diminishing for you. You probably missed my hug, my kiss, and–" Taylor laid back down on the bed with her back facing Harry.

Harry reached for the pillow covering his face and giggled with amusement. Harry used the pillow to lean his head. Harry lay on his side, facing Taylor. Slowly, Harry approached, before finally he could feel his chest touching Taylor's back. Harry wrapped his arm around Taylor's waist. The smile didn't disappear from the man's lips.

Harry raised his head slightly, and brought his lips close to Taylor's ears while whispering, "I missed you too, baby. Good night and sweet dreams. I love you." Harry gave Taylor a short kiss on the forehead while a smile formed on Taylor's lips.

Taylor had to wake up in the morning without Harry by her side, again. Harry left early in the morning and he didn't even wake Taylor at all. In fact, Taylor could guarantee that Harry didn't take his breakfast at all.

"Good morning, Taylor." Taylor smiled when she walked into the kitchen where Grandma was already there, giving her a smile.

"Morning, Grandma." Taylor walked towards Grandma, helping Grandma lift a small pot of water and place it on the stove.

"Thank you. I just wanted to make some tea. I don't know where everyone was going this morning." Grandma said while chuckling. Taylor nodded.

"You can knock on my door and ask for my help, Grandma. I don't mind at all."

"Harry went to the office early in the morning. Before leaving, he warned me not to wake you up because you looked so tired." Taylor raised an eyebrow at Grandma's words.

"Me? Tired? Absolutely not. I barely even do anything. Harry was just too much." Taylor reached for a cup and poured some tea into the cup when the water was boiling.

Taylor and Grandma walked together to the dining table. Taylor brought Grandma's tea and put it on the table.

"Thank you, again, Taylor." Grandma said when Taylor pulled a chair for her. Taylor smiled and nodded her head, before pulling out a chair for herself and sat beside Grandma.

Grandma sipped her tea slowly. "You know, Harry is very similar to Des, his father. They both protect the people they love in any way. Too protective, if I might add." Taylor chuckled at Grandma's words. But it was also the truth. Harry is very protective.

"Ah, yes, Taylor. I know you're bored at home. So am I. How about we go to Harry's new office? I've never been there." Grandma said suddenly, making Taylor widened her eyes.

"Is that really okay? I mean, aren't we going to interfere with his work?"

Grandma shook her head. "It's okay. I'm also the owner there. So, it's fine. Besides, Anne is going to take Gemma to see a doctor. It seems like they'll be gone for  long since Gemma also had to undergo some therapy." Hearing about Gemma, Taylor jumped. It's been a long time since she saw Gemma's joy. Taylor sighed and nodded.

"All right, I'll change clothes." Grandma smiled broadly.

━━

Taylor and Grandma arrive at the new Styles Enterprise office in Cheshire. They were immediately escorted by two security guards until they arrived in front of the elevator. Taylor asks the guards to go and let them head to Harry's office room which is on the 11th floor. Taylor has never been to this office before. Harry only told her that his office room was located on the 11th floor. The elevator stopped on the 2nd floor and two employees entered the elevator, while chatting, without knowing and realizing who was in the elevator with them.

"They came in early again today." The one employee said who was wearing a red shirt to another employee in a green shirt.

"Yes, I already know. They certainly have something going on. Their relationship is certainly something else. I'm sure that they don't have the standard and normal 'boss and assistant' relationship." Hearing the employee's words who was wearing green shirt, Taylor held her breath. Taylor stared at Grandma who was also silent, Taylor guesses that Grandma was also surprised by this. However, they both chose to remain silent.

"Sarah's in charge of cleaning Mr. Styles' room, and she said that she mistakenly saw the closeness of Mr. Styles and Emily. She said they almost had sex in the room if it wasn't for her." Taylor closed her eyes at the words of the employee who was wearing a red shirt. Grandma seemed to be silent, trying not to be emotional.

"Doesn't Mr. Styles have a wife?" The employee with the green shirt asked.

The red shirt shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. What's clear is that Mr. Styles had never introduced his wife to anyone in this office. Maybe he's afraid that his employees might leak his closeness to Emily. His employees in London are very obedient and afraid of him." Just as the red shirt stopped talking, the elevator had stopped on the 10th floor.

Taylor and Grandma came out of the elevator. Grandma stared anxiously at Taylor who was bowing her head. Grandma stroked Taylor's arm gently.

"You know, Tay, most employees just gossip about their boss. You understand that, right?" Taylor held her breath before nodding her head and smiled faintly.

"Yes, Grandma."

Grandma smiled and nodded. "In the past, my husband and Des also often made them the subject of conversation. They made stories that are far-fetched. I have been immune to everything. I always believe that my husband and my son couldn't act and be like that. So are you, Taylor. "

Taylor nodded. "Yes, I understand. I believe in Harry, I trust him." Taylor said firmly. Grandma took Taylor's hand.

"Alright come on, let's give Harry a surprise!" Grandma said enthusiastically and the both of them walked towards the door with a sign that said 'CEO' not far from them.

She sighed to herself and shrugged off the clouding thoughts that formed inside her head. She believes in Harry, she trusts him. He'd never do that because he loves her. . or at least that's what she thought.
