Cosconia Carnifex always hated her name. Finding it too complex, and alike with a pale boy by the name of Coriolanus Snow. Cosconia always knew her place within the capitol. She was from a noble family yes, but one that was quiet, hidden and did not command the same respect unlike the Snows or the Cardews. But unlike the rest of them, she was not dependent on the Capitol and did not care what the Capitol could offer her. She had bigger plans in mind, plans that undoubtedly would be a pain for the elites of the Capitol. The same elites she had a target on.

Oh, how she wished he was more careful with whom he played with. After all, he was a nice distraction and a pretty one too.

II.

Julia Este Pompey always knew she was the one who made sacrifices, from the day she was born till now, although she was adorned and worshipped in her family, she still lived in the shadow of her brother. So when the time came, and the illusion of love knocked on her door, why wouldn't she take it? Why wouldn't she show them? Show her family she didn't need them to be successful, that she was strong, independent, and could make any man fall on their knees for her grace.

Except, she found herself yearning for someone else and this time she was not in the shadow of her brother, but instead a ghost.

Oh, how she wished she could see right through him. That she did not fail, but like that Plinth boy, she was just another lamb.

III.

Virgila Cardew was not a shallow individual. But she loved easily. One would say that was her biggest weakness. In reality, it was the source of her strength. Virgila found out from a very young age that if she waited long enough, anything and everything she wanted, even if it belonged to someone else, would be given to her.

So when she returned from District 1 to the Captiol one spring evening, and saw him. She just knew he was the one for her. She just had to wait long enough.

Oh, how she wished she turned away. That she did not fall for those ocean blue eyes. She wished she spent the time studying people then waiting, maybe if she did he could see who he truly was.
