The girls had gotten ready but there was a huge rainstorm and it trapped them inside. "Guess we aren't going to Mako now". Nixie thought. They were going to use Rita's secret tunnel to try and catch Zac. Nixie listened to Lyla and Sirena argue about trying to change the weather with Sirena's moon ring, Nixie jumped in the pool waiting for the girls.
... Nixie reached Mako without the girls. She was fine but started to get a small shiver so she went to check on them and make sure they were okay. Nixie broke through the iced pool with her tail only to find snow and transform with her tail and all. "Why is there snow?, Guys?".  She walked into the living room to ask the girls what's wrong. "They used to moon ring to stop the rain but it didn't work". She got handed the phone with Rita on the other hand. She then walked through the snow in a raincoat and gloves to look for something Rita said they needed. She turned invisible with her mermaid powers and sprinkled the powder over the girls and their rash disappeared and fever. "You know guys I can't keep saving your tails like this understand?". She told them. Later they went back to Mako to reflect their day.
