"You touched an enhancement rock just like me?" Nora asked Osore.

"Yeah...back when I was a little kid." Osore explained. When he was 5, he was playing by a creek with some friends when he slipped and fell into the stream. He thought he was going to drown when he felt his knee scrap against a rock and suddenly he felt the strength to swim against the stream and got out safe. He was confused about how he survived and went to his school to ask a smart teacher. They told him he must've touched an enhancement rock and he should try and discover his power. Osore eventually learned he possessed Kyōfu Doraibu, or Fear Drive. This allows him to enhance his speed or strength based on his own fear or his opponent's fear. He also received Fear Fang as a gift from his dad at age 11, or 5 years ago. This weapon has the curse, Fear. This means when drawn, it increases the fear of the enemy so it's perfect for Osore.

"Wow...you keep getting cooler!" Nora felt up his muscles and he awkwardly laughed. While they finish their meals, Jack and Jake went to their houses. Their fathers were very respected men and the newcomer and outcast would pay for messing with their kids. The men began to gather citizens to form a mob.

"Ah~, that was a good meal!" Nora walked out of the tavern with Osore.

"Should I show you to the hotel now?" Osore offered.

"Yeah!" Nora was still energetic, even this late at night. Stars gleamed in the night sky as loud footsteps were heard by the two. Nora spun around, trying to identify the cause of the sound.

"You are the newcomer right?" An old man asked. He had long, silver hair and a curly mustache. He wore fancy clothes, a blue cardigan, and a white undershirt. He was rather plump and gave off important vibes.

"Yep! Nora Masayoshi of Joshi Village!" She smiled and Osore looks at her with terror.

"This is the mayor of Earthcliff and Jack's father." Osore told her.

"Yes, I am the mayor and it seems you are already terrorizing two boys. I assume you have been influenced by that lowlife Osore." He sighed. "This is the last straw Osore! I'm banishing you from this town!"

"W-What?...but this is my home..." Osore muttered in defeat as he fell to his knees. Jack and Jake laughed and The mayor was about to signal the police to escort him when Nora growled. Her gaze was down at her feet and she looks over at Osore. Then, she looked up at the mayor and he looked back.

"I won't let you banish Osore...he deserves to live here just as much as anyone else and I won't stand by and let you deal out unjust punishment." Nora clenched her right fist.

"You will fight The Earthcliff Elite Guard merely because I have done something you don't agree with?!" He yelled.

"No, I will fight because Osore is my friend and I won't stand by and watch this." Nora exclaimed. The mayor huffed and was about to give the signal when Nora threw a nasty right hook. The mayor saw stars and fell to the ground, blood staining his cheek. The guard quickly attacked and Nora began fighting.

"Invisible Shield!" Nora created a shield to block the guard. She threw a punch and took one out. She ducked under a fist and uppercutted him in the chin, breaking his jaw with a loud crack. Nora was no rookie at fighting, she had trained very hard and had skills. More of the guard attacked and Nora bobbed and weaved.

"Invisible Giant Fist!" A giant invisible fist made of her willpower crushed 10 guards and knocked them out. Nora cracked her knuckles.

"WHO WANTS SOME!" Nora yelled as she hadn't even broken a sweat.

"SHE'S NOT HUMAN! RETREAT!" Jake yelled and he ran away. Jack growled.

"I'll fight her! She's just getting lucky!" Jack rushed in and Osore stepped in. His left arm pulsed with muscle and he rammed his fist into Jack's face. His teeth shattered and he fell to the floor with a loud thud.

"We should go!" Osore yelled. Nora nodded and he took her to the motorbike shop. He stole the keys of a motorbike and passed it to Nora.

"Eh?! I'm driving?!" Nora nervously laughed.

"Fine, fine..." Osore got on the bike and turned the key. Nora got on behind him and wrapped her arms around him. He hit the gas and they sped out of town and onto a long road that was covered by sand and looked like a desert wasteland.

"Looks like we got out rather unhurt..." Osore sighed in relief.

"I'm so sorry! I couldn't stop you from getting kicked out of your town." Nora bowed her head and hit it on his back. Nora rubbed her head in pain and Osore snickered.

"I don't mind, I just don't know where to go now." He told her.

"I was hoping you'd travel with me." Nora offered.

"You want me to go with you?" Osore was little taken back.

"Yeah of course! You are really strong and cool!" Nora cheered.

"I have nowhere else to go so yeah! I'll join you, Nora." Osore smiled.

"Yes! 1st member acquired!" Nora pumped her fist into the air.

"So, why are we heading to this Elder Tree anyways?" Osore asked.

"Oh yeah. It holds the secret to immortality and stuff like that and my brother is really sick so I want to try and save him." Nora explained.

"I see...it's an admirable goal. I'll do everything I can to help Nora." Osore told her.

"Perfect! What's your goal Osore?" Nora asked him as she aimlessly stared into the distance.

"I don't really know...I always wanted to get married as a kid but I don't really have any goal to work towards. I guess my goal is to help you." Osore decided.

"Sounds good! We need to recruit more members Osore and maybe finally get a vehicle for a couple members, like an SUV or a giant airship!" Nora began to dream up an airship. It was large and bright red with yellow decals on both sides saying "The Crew". It had four engines on each corner and the inside had 12 rooms for people. Nora dubbed it "Dragon X".

"That would be cool..." Nora sighed. Osore laughed at her as they turned left.

"Where are we going Osore?" Nora asked as she drummed on his back.

"I don't know, but this forest seems like a good place to stop and gather ourselves to make a plan." Osore explained. He took notice of his surroundings and realized the forest looked unusual. He saw little floating lights and the forest gave him a magical feeling. It was odd how much the forest seemed to be fantasy-like.

"Do you feel that odd energy Osore?" Nora asked, enamored by the little lights.

"Yeah...it feels...mystical." Osore said as he stopped and looked in awe at the sight before him. It was a village in the middle of the woods but not just any village. Every person he saw had tails of various amounts. 1, 3, 6, 7, 8.

"What the hell..." Osore looked on and studied the architecture. It looked very similar to the building he was used to in Earthcliff but made of a weird wood and stone that was colored purple and pink.

"Welcome to town! I assume you two are lost in the woods?" The man asked. He had 4 tails coming from his waist and he wore a nice smile.

"N-." Nora was about to talk but her mouth was covered by Osore.

"Yes! Sorry, sir, we got lost and arrived here. Um, where is here?" Osore asked.

"Ah, this is Fox Village, home to the last of the Kyubi race." The man explained.

"And what's the Kyubi race?" Osore asked.

"Well, it's stated that hundreds of years ago, a god called Kurama created children born with tails like that of a fox. These people were known as Kyubi's and lived side-by-side humans for a while until recently. A human name Uzui Hamon one day decided to murder 49 Kyubis in cold blood at our church and the humans did nothing to punish this man. The Kyubi race called this event The Night of Blood and decided to take their children here to prevent further deaths." The man told him.

"Do you resent humans?" Osore asked, worried they might have to fight.

"No no, don't get it twisted young man. We Kyubi's don't like the humans who allowed this to happen but one must recognize each race has bad apple's but they shouldn't define the entire race." He nodded and Osore sighed in relief.

"Do you think we could have a place to stay sir?" Osore asked him.

"Yeah sure, the Church Of Kurama accepts anyone who needs a home so head there." He pointed to a church steeple in the distance.

"Thanks so much! Osore parked the motorbike and they got off. Nora stretched and grabbed the man's tail.

"I assume you don't know our culture?" He told her.

"Not in the slightest!" She smiled.

"Please don't touch anyone else's tail as they won't be as understanding as I am." He walked away.

"Eh...alright sir." Nora pouted as they walked towards the church. People began to approach and ask about them.

"Are you from a cool city?!" A boy asked.

"Nope! I'm from a shitty village! It's pretty cool though." Nora smirked. He smacked her butt.

"You don't have tails, humans are weird." He said and the others nodded.

"Not all! Just look at my friend Osore." Nora completely ignored the rude gesture and showed off Osore.

"Is he your boyfriend?" He asked.

"Dunno, Osore~, wanna be my boyfriend?" Nora teased.

"I'm good ditz..." Osore flicked her forehead.

"It's because you think I'm ugly, isn't it? Nora pouted.

"Eh...let's go..." Osore dragged Nora away.

"Bye-bye!" Nora waved at the Kyubi kids. They finally arrived at the steeple and they knocked on the doors.

"Hello! Anyone here?" Nora yelled. The door opened and it was a beautiful girl. She had long orange hair that went down to her waist and she had pretty blue eyes. They also noticed she was the only Kyubi they saw with 9 tails.

"Are you two seeking refuge?" The girl said.

"Oi Osore! This girl is hot, that's your type right?" Nora said and Osore facepalmed.

"Sure...and yes, we are." Osore told her.

"Let me just check with my father and then you can come in." The girl closed the door and walked away.

"Osore! That girl was so pretty!" Nora squealed.

"Yeah, she was beautiful." Osore added.

"Y-You think I'm beautiful?" The girl was now bright red as they hadn't noticed her come back to the door.

"U-Uh well...um...y-yeah!" Osore admitted.

"Aw! I guess we can't date since you like her." Nora teased.

"I don't even know her name!" Osore argued as Nora laughed.

"It's Kaen. Kaen Kitsune." Kaen told them.

"KK." Nora said.

"What?" Kaen tilted her head in confusion.

"Your name is hard to pronounce for me so I'll call you KK." Nora said.

"Then I guess I will too." Osore added.

"Sure! My father said you two can come in." KK let them in and led them to her room.

"This is my room. I laid out two sheets for you two." KK said.

"But Osore wanted to sleep with you and look, you know her name now." Nora said. KK turned bright red.

"I-I guess he could..." KK's 9 tails twirled around her waist. Before he could answer, her father walked in.

"You two must be the humans who are new in town. I'm Kirin Kitsune." he greeted them.

"KK dad." Nora said.

"What?..." Kirin scratched his head.

"Don't worry about it...thanks for allowing us into your church." Osore bowed and Kirin laughed.

"Of course! You guys get comfy and Kaen will keep you company. Kaen, make sure to tell them about the party tonight and invite them." Kirin said before leaving.

"Party?" Nora questioned.

"Yup! Tonight is the Foxfire Festival!" KK exclaimed.
