Chapter Three

She comes out of the dressing room with a little white dress with red roses all over it. "You look beautiful Nirvana." She smiles and pushes her hair out of her eyes. "Do you like it?" She asks. I continue on smiling and nod. "Of course I do. But, what's important is do you like it? If you like it I'll get it. Remember this is all about you not me." She smiles and goes back in to the dressing room with her face bright red. My phone rings through the quiet room and I sigh loudly. When I answer I hear Ryan's voice. Oh crap. " Bren. when are you coming in?" I chuckle nervously so if Nirvana hears me she won't feel bad. "Oh, yeah I got pretty busy today with my mom coming over in a little bit and preparing the apartment. I'm at the store currently but maybe I'll stop in later." Ryan sighs but then another voice comes onto the line "You better be here tomorrow Brendon we can't miss another day." I blow out a breathe and say." Okay I will Pete. See you guys soon." I then hurriedly hang up and put it in my pocket just as she comes out of the dressing room. Her arm is filled with some jeans and shirts along with the dress. "All done?" She nods and smiles as I take somethings so she wouldn't drop any of it.

When we paid for her things and walked out of the store and to my car I say. "Fun day. Isn't it?" she nods as she carefully puts a seat belt over herself. I drove to my- no, our apartment. I park in the mini parking lot and get out and fast walk over to Nirvana's door to open it for her. What, can't I be a gentlemen! We grab the bags and head to the plain white apartment that really needs to be decorated. When we came home she went straight to her room. Who knows what she's doing but I really wish she would come out here. A knock appears on my front door causing me to jump and another door open from the hallway. I head to the front door, and open it revealing my mother. "Oh Brendon I know its been a week but I miss you." She says. I laugh as she hugs me. " I'm fine mom." I look behind me and see my friend eyes peeking out behind the wall. "I want you to meet my a very special person mom." My mother smiles and heads into the living room. I go where Nirvana is and reach my hand out to her. "It'll be okay." I whisper. She takes it and hugs my arm as we walk into the living room.

I notice she changed into her pretty white dress she just got. "Mom, this is my friend Nirvana. She will be living with me as my roommate." She hides behind me, but gives a small smile and waves. "Nice to meet you Nirvana. You have a pretty name." My mother stretches out her arm to her to shake her hand. Nirvana, does the same but hers is slightly shaking. "Hi." She quietly says. They both pull back there hands. Nirvana wraps her arm back around mine, still shaking from a minute ago. "I have a surprise dinner for you two. It's being delivered here. Now, don't come back until six when it gets here." Me and Nirvana grab our shoes as we get shoved out the door. Mine old and dirty, but hers is new and squeaky clean. We lean against a wall to force the shoes on our feet as we giggle from falling over each time. "Lets go to the park for a while." I mention. She smiles and grabs my hand and hugs my arm in a less scared way. Her bright blue eyes remind me of the eyes of Kurt Cobain. Maybe that's why she was named Nirvana. After a band he once started but ended and will always will be remembered. Just like her eyes.

We sit in the grass under a tree. My back is leaning against the trunk as Nirvana leans against me, still hugging my arm. I could get used to this. She thankfully has warmed up to me fast, but her social ability may need some fixing. "Nirvana would you like to go to work with me tomorrow?" She looked up at me and smiled brightly with a nod. Her eyes crinkling from the sun but her blue eyes seem so bright. Her beautiful brown hair that had to take years to grow along with the freckles perfectly placed on her face. "I promise the guys there are good people. They'll get a little silly at some points, but they mean well." She nods and lays her head on my shoulder. "Is it almost time to go to your place?" She mumbles. I take out my phone to check the time."Not much longer."  I felt the need to hug her. I have no reason why I just felt the need to. But when I try it looks more like I'm just wrapping my arm around her. I play with her hair from boredom and try not to do anything stupid. From any other prospective we would look like a couple. We're not but it looks like it. Nirvana is a pretty girl who deserves much more than me to be helping her. I guess I'm just here to fix her up.

Nirvana basically had claimed my arm was hers the whole evening. I didn't mind, I think it was quite adorable honestly. She was like a small child who was cuddling with a teddy bear. But, instead of a teddy bear she had my arm instead. When we were sitting on the couch doing nothing, she had ended up falling asleep right beside me. I took her to my room instead of hers incase she had a nightmare. She didn't have one tonight. Weird. But, when I woke up she was curled up against me with her head laying on my chest. I look at my battery powered alarm clock and realize I'm about to be late for work. "Hey, Nirvana." I say with a soft voice. Her eyes slowly flutter open and when they do she automatically looks right up at me smiling. "I need to get ready for work. Want to stay here or go with me? I'd love it if you would go with me." She nods and uncurls her self from my side, and smooth's her long hair out of her face. Oh, how I hope the boys don't scare her away.
