Lloyd sighed as he walked through the heavily crowded hallway. He was dreading the moment when Chen would come, he really didn't feel like being pushed around today.

If Chen did come, he hoped he wouldn't be bullied near the new girl, (Y/n).

(Y/n) seemed like a very tough girl, who shouldn't be messed with. She's wore a frown every since the first moment she walked in.

He had hoped that she wouldn't find out who his dad was yet.

Lloyd has initially wanted to become friends, but decided against it. She didn't seem like the friendly type, and he didn't want to bother her.

If Chen did bully him near her, he could only hope she wouldn't join Chen in his daily harassing.

"Well, look who it is?" Chen's sly voice sounds, dragging Lloyd out of his thoughts. Lloyd stayed silent and he walked past, continuing for his locker.

Unfortunately for Lloyd, Chen was feeling like being more of a jerk than usual today.

"Hey, I'm talking to you" Chen says, yanking on Lloyd's hood and sending the poor blond stumbling backwards.

Lloyd slipped, and crashed into someone else. "Sorry" he mumbled as he quickly stood up. He turned and met the gaze, and his stomach dropped when he saw the (E/c) eyes that belonged to (Y/n).

There goes any hope of not being bullied around her, now all he hoped was that she just didn't join Chen. To him, the chances of her not joining him though were low.

She stood up, and he flinched a bit, preparing himself for her to join Chen in his bullying. Instead, she studied him for a moment, before talking. "What the heck dude?!"

She glared in the direction of Chen, "Why did you do that to him?!" She asked angrily. "You don't know?" Chen asked, "oh right, you're new. That's Lloyd Garmadon, son of Lord Garmadon."

Lloyd winced a bit at the mention of his dad, knowing that the mention of his father would probably turn the girl against him.

Instead, she frowned, "Does it look like I care?" She asked. "You're bullying someone who won't even defend themselves, that really gets on my nerves" She spat.

She stepped in front of Lloyd, glaring daggers at Chen. "Now, scram before you regret it" she told him with a dangerous look in her eyes.

Chen scoffed, "You're a girl, what's the worst you can do?" He asked. Rage sparked in her eyes, she clenched her fists at her side.

"Come on, hit me with your best shot" Chen teased with a smug smile spread across his face. He held his chin high and confident, not knowing what was in store.

"Alright, you asked for it" (Y/n) growled at him. She pulled back her fist and smashed it against Chen's chin, not holding back much.

Chen cried in surprise and pain, stumbling backwards. He sat on the floor, seemingly dizzy for a second. She had nearly knocked him out, luckily for chen she was feeling merciful hat day.

He held a hand to his jaw, groaning a bit.  (Y/n) gives him a look of disapproval, perhaps event a bit of disdain.

"Whimp" she mumbled as Chen walked away, head lowed with an angry glare to her. He left the scene along with his broken pride and whatever may be left of his crackled dignity.

(Y/n) Turned to face Lloyd, who was looking at her in shock and surprise. He was expecting her to join Chen, not stand up for Lloyd.

"Does he do that often?" (Y/n) questions, to which Lloyd nods. The girl though for a minute, "Well, I guess I'll have to change that then" She declares.

(Y/n) holds her hand out for Lloyd to shake, "I'm (Y/n), your new bodyguard" she introduces herself.

Lloyd goes to shake her hand, before pausing. "Wait... My new what?!"

"Soo, uh, who's that?" Kai asked at the lunch table as (Y/n) sat next to Lloyd with her lunch tray in hand.

"Oh, this is my new friend, (Y/n)" Lloyd introduced. "And bodyguard" (Y/n) casually adds as she took a bite out of her food.

"Wait.. what?" Nya asks, wondering if her ears had deceived her. It was already unlikely enough that someone wanted to be Lloyd's friend, much less his bodyguard.

"That's right.. bodyguard" Lloyd confirmed, glancing over at the girl "She volunteered after kicking chen's butt" he elaborates once he sees the shocked and disbelieving faces of his clique.

"Thanks for standing up to Chen for Lloyd" Kai thanked her, happy that someone was willing to stand up to Chen when Lloyd's friends weren't there.

(Y/n) acknowledged it with a single nod of her head as she took another bite of her food.

"Well then, welcome to the clique (Y/n)" Nya says with a friendly smile and an outstretched hand for the girl to shake.

(Y/n) smiled, and shook Nya's hand, feeling like this was the start of a good friendship.

Soon, weeks had turned into months, and with those months (Y/n) and LLoyd's friendship strengthened, forming a close bond between the two.

Everyday since the two had literally bumped into each other, (Y/n) had waited in the hallway for Lloyd, walking with his to his class.

She never missed a day, save for days when she was very ill, and always made sure Lloyd made it to his classes unharmed, even if it made her late to hers.

Chen hadn't dared to mess with Lloyd while (Y/n) was around, not since he had been defeated so terribly.

Everyday during lunch, (Y/n) took a seat by her new-found friends at their lunch table. She even occasionally joked and teased along with them.

Why, (Y/n) might even go as far to say that Lloyd and the others had become her closest friends.

What neither Lloyd or (Y/n) had ever expected to ever happen though, was the inevitable feelings of love that they begun to feel for each other. It was truly a pity that neither knew that the other liked them back.

(Y/n) sat down with a heavy sigh when she got home, trying to make sense of her feelings. She found it quite strange the way her heart raced when she looked into those emerald eyes that belonged to Lloyd.

She thought for a moment, maybe two, before it actually clicked in her mind. "There's no way" the girl mumbled to herself, "I think I'm in love with my best friend"

On the contrary, with Lloyd, he had known about his feelings for a quite a while now. He wanted to tell her, but he had no idea how to go about it.

He was afraid he would begin to stutter, then his mind would race and instead of saying what he wanted he would end up saying something stupid.

He decided to get someone to help him out on this. Taking a deep breath, he pulled out his phone. He scrolled through his contacts before calling someone, "Hey Nya, I kinda need your help"

Lloyd took a deep breath, 'you're going to just fine Lloyd' he told himself, hands clutching the (F/f) he had obtained.

To be honest, he was very anxious and nervous. He felt as if his stomach held more fluttering butterflies than he could ever handle.

He was so nervous, so afraid he'd screw this up. Luckily for him, he had the support of his friends, and with encouraging words being said from behind, he set a determined smile on his face and took a step forward.

"I can't do this" He sighed, turning back to his friends. They cried and groaned in dismay, Nya grabbed him harshly by the shoulders.

"You like her don't you?" She asked, Lloyd nodded. "THEN GO ASK HER OUT YOU BIG DOOFUS" Nya shouts, shaking Lloyd a little too much. His brain felt rattled.

"OW! OK! OK!" He broke free from her grasp, standing there for a moment, dizzied from the harsh shake.

"Hey Lloyd, I need to talk to you" (Y/N)'s voice sounds suddenly from behind, making Lloyd jump about ten feet in the air. "AHH!!" He gave a startled yell, turning around and hiding the (F/f) behind his back.

He cleared his throat, embarrassed. "Ahem, sorry." He apologized. Kai elbowed him, giving him a face that read 'Tell her!!'  

"Actually, I need to talk to you also" Lloyd chuckled, scratching at the back of his neck with that adorable smile of his painting his face.

"You first" He says, "Oh, well, uh.." (Y/n) trails off, looking rather uncomfortable. Lloyd noticed this, and knew it had to be something big, because not much made her uncomfortable like this, ever.

His mind began to reel, 'Does she not like me at all anymore? Is she moving? Did something happen?' His mind made more questions, making him slightly uncomfortable.

"I..... Can we talk in private?" She asked, giving a 'Scram now' face to the others, crossing her arms.

They left, and (Y/n) let out a small sigh. "Here's the thing" She started, making Lloyd gulp a little from the anticipation "I.... I think I like you" She says, looking him straight in the eyes.

Lloyd's jaw hung agape, for he was shocked "Ugh, knew I shoulda kept my trap shut" She grumbled to herself as she turned to walk away.

He reached out and grabbed her arm, "Wait!" she turned around to look at him. He coughed in slight embarrassment and awkwardness and dropped his hand from her arm.

"Actually, I like you too" He admitted, a small blush crossing both of their faces when he said that.

The two were quiet for a good amount of time, absorbing the information they had been given. Neither knew what to say, so it was just standing there in awkwardness.

"Ask her out!!" A loud whisper yell could be heard from behind Lloyd, making him jump. "Uhh! Um, (Y/n) will you go out with me?" He asks, holding out the (F/f).

"Uhh.... yea" (Y/n) responds, taking the (F/f) from him. She may have appeared calm on the outside, but no one knew how ecstatic she was on the inside.

(Y/n) couldn't believe it, no wait, she could. She could hardly believe it though, it was as if she was in a story, and- THUNK- "What the heck was that?!" (Y/n) shouted, startled.

She looked out the window to see a dazed bird, shaking its head and resting a bit. It stayed there for a minute or two before taking off again.

"that was weird" She mumbled, regaining her focus to her upcoming date. She had chosen an outfit, and did all the necessary preparations.

All she needed to do, was wait for the man himself. Lloyd, he was taking her somewhere. He never said where though, he wanted it to be a surprise.

So, (Y/n) waited. Soon enough, the doorbell rang. She went to answer it, and was met by the bright emerald eyes of Lloyd.

"ready to go?" He asked, (Y/n) nodded "yup."

The two have been walking around the crowded sidewalk for at least thirty minutes, Lloyd glancing worriedly at his phone every once in a while.

"It wasn't supposed to be far" He mumbled, looking around for the place where he would take her as they walked.

"We're lost, aren't we?" (Y/n) asked, seeing Lloyd's confused and slightly lost face as he scavenged for the place where they were going.

"Noooooo" Lloyd says, drawing out the 'o', before sighing in discouragement "Yea..." he scratched the back of his neck and took one last glance over their surroundings.

Wandering around for another minute, the two settled for a local restaurant that seemed decent enough for a date.

They sat at a small table together, looking over the menu. Ordering whatever looked good to them on the menu, they talked as they waited for their food. Well, they tried to talk anyways.

There was a small period of awkward silence, and because neither of them had ever been on a date before, neither knew how to act.

"Soooo" Lloyd finally says, trying to spark a conversation " Umm, nice weather right?" He asked, trying to make small talk.

"Yea" She says, before they trail off into an awkward silence again, both internally dying at the awkwardness between them.

"Soo" (Y/n) starts, giving a small cough to clear her throat. "I'm going to ask a weird question" she says. "shoot" Lloyd replied, curious as to what the question was.

"What would you do if you had a pocket genie?"

"A what?" LLoyd asked, not quite sure if he heard her right. "A pocket genie. A genie that lives in your pocket instead of a lantern" She explains.

"Ohh. Well, I would probably wish for Garmadon to not be my dad, for  lots of money so my mom doesn't have to work, and for you to be my girlfriend" Lloyd says, before mentally kicking himself for speaking the last wish.

"Hmm," She says, "Maybe your last wish will come true if this does work out"

Lloyd couldn't believe it.

She actually agreed to be his girlfriend! What kind of story is he living out, as if he were in a book and the impossible could-

WHAM! A loud bang could be heard, and it had pulled him out of his deep thoughts.

He opened the window, feeling the cool breeze on his face. Looking out the window he saw a couple of young kids playing baseball, and one of them accidentally hit the ball on the house.

"Sorry!" They shouted, not really paying attention to who they were talking to. Lloyd shook his head with and closed the window.

With a sigh, he fell backwards onto his bed. He stared up at the ceiling, and resumed his thinking. Inside, he felt somewhat giddy.

"I can't believe it" He mumbled to himself, "Lloyd Garmadon's got a girlfriend. The best one of all at that, (Y/n)"

Heck I think I might have made it too long, but I dont give two sharks I had too much fun writing this to shorten it.

I just thought of that idea in the shower :T
