Kai's (POV)

"Let's show them what old timers can do." Wu said as he hit the shrinking pill towards the Overlord's mouth. 

It was almost there until Pythor got in the way and swallowed it shrinking him instead and getting chased by Zane's Falcon. The Overlord then grabbed everyone but me with his golden tentacles. 

"The armor, why isn't it working?" Cole said struggling to break free. "Because your time is over!" the Overlord replied menacingly.

I didn't know what to do, we were losing, my friends were dying, I had to do something think Kai, think. I realized there was one thing left to do and knew what would happen next.

"Support me, friends, for one last time." I said as they turned upside down and I jumped on their feet. With one final jump I went towards the Overlord and grabbed on to the armor. It was painful, I felt every cell in my body begin to burn and I gasped for breath, I wanted to let go, but I couldn't this needs to happen.

"Let my friends go!" I demanded struggling to hold on. "Go where, doomed Ninja? The Golden Weapons are too powerful for you to behold. Your survival chance is low." He replied not aware what I was doing. "This isn't about the odds. It's about family." I told him as I felt my heart beating faster like it was about to explode. 

"He's not letting go!" I hear Lloyd say with horror in his voice. "His heart! His heart can't handle that much power!" I hear Jay shout. "If his heart overloads, he'll burn! He'll never survive!" Cole says horrified. "Let go of him, Kai! What is he doing?" Zane begs. But if I let go we will lose this is the only option left. "He's protecting us." Wu says, at least he understands what I'm doing this for.

"I am a Ninja, and Ninja never quit. Go, Ninja. Go!" I yell as I shoot my fire beam at him, engulfing him in flames. "What are you doing? Let me go, you fool!" The Overlord demands, I can hear the fear in his voice. "No, Kai, no!" I hear Jay but his voice is starting to fade. "We have to get out of here now." I hear Wu order, his voice fading too. "No!" I hear a few of them say but I couldn't quite hear who.

As my body begins to give out I have flash backs to all the good times I had with them. ("Ninjago." My brothers and I shouted as we created the tornado of creation for the first time. "Nya!" I shouted as I ran to hug her as we got back from the underworld. I was saving Lloyd as we were floating down to the bounty after I discovered my true potential. "If the Overlord ever decides to show his face around here again we'll be ready." I said as all my friends were with me after the Overlords first defeat.) 

My body was in excruciating pain as I felt like I was going to explode...

Then I felt nothing.

(No one's POV)

As the Ninja climbed out from the sewer's they looked around to see the city covered in ash as some still fell from the sky like snowflakes. They saw the Overlords helmet lying on the ground as Nya, Pixal, and Cyrus came in, something caught Cole's eye on the ground, hr picked it up and brushed the ash off of it revealing to be a burned piece of Kai's Gi.

Nya saw it and broke down into tears knowing her brother just died and went crying into Jay's shoulder, the other's had solemn looks on their faces for their fallen brother.

(No one's POV)

A few days later a people were gathered for Kai's funeral as they sat in front of a giant monument covered in a sheet as Cyrus Borg was up on the podium about to talk.

"I used to think technology would be the answer to all of our problems. But then I saw technology invent new problems. Devastating problems. And then a Ninja named Kai saved us all. He was the one who understood the balance of us and technology, even if no one understood him. He taught us that life should be a balance. Technology can improve our lives, but so can people. And if we focus on one at the expense of the other, that's when the balance is off. Our city will find its way again, but this time with Kai as our compass. With that, I give to you the Tungsten Ninja." Cyrus gave his speech as he revealed a faceless statue of Kai looking up to the hevans.

The ninja felt their eye's water up as they looked up at the statue. "So, what happens after this?" Nya asked, without Kai she doesn't know what to do. "I don't know." Cole replied. "And I don't care. Today's about Kai." Jay continued. "And now Zane would like to speak for those who knew him best." Cyrus said. Zane got up and went to the stand. 

"Everyone wondered what fueled Kai's fire. I don't know if we'll ever know, but I'd like to think it was brotherhood. Because he fueled me. And he'll still fuel me as his memory lives on. Ninja never quit, and Ninja will never be forgotten. Wherever you are, Kai, you'll always be one of us." Zane said ending his speech.

???  (POV)

"Where am I?" I look around to see that I'm right by a volcano. "How did I get here?" I ask myself as I look around to see if anyone was there. "Why can't I remember anything?" I ask not remembering how I got here.

I walk away from the volcano and find a little lake. While I was walking I notice light coming from my head, I look in the lake and see myself, but something was wrong...

Why was I made of metal? Why is my hair on fire?

Suddenly I felt something knock me out, before I black out I see a man with a strange staff with others grabbing me.
