Chapter Seven: The Silver Truth

~3 weeks after snake reveal~  

Kai walks into Four Weapons with Lloyd, the two holding hands. "DAD! I'M BACK!" Kai screams throughout the building. Pythor comes from the back, covered in cinder and ashes. "My little boy has returned!" The snake announces and hugs Kai tightly, using his tail to wrap Kai up further. "DAAAAAD!" Kai says with a blush. "Aren't you going to hug your daddy back?" Pythor asks, pulling his head back with a pout. Kai huffs before turning into his true form, which was basically his snake form but with a human head and neck rather then a snake one. (A red and purple fire turns him into his true form) His fire colored hair just as spiky as his human hair. He hugs his father back in the same manor and both smile as they pull back. "I misssed ya dad." Kai says. Pythor ruffles his hair, messing it up. "I misssed you to ssson." He says and both chuckle. "Ah, the ninja! How have you all been?" Pythor asks the other. "Just fine Pythor." Misako says. Pythor bows before turning to Lloyd. "Hello old chum! My ssson tellsss me you've stolen hiss heart. Isss thisss true?" He asks the green ninja. "Um... Uh... Well... I..." Lloyd stutters as he stands face to face with the snake that once made a huge fool out of him... The snake he hated with all his heart... The snake that was father to the love of his life. "H-he s-stole m-mine t-t-to..." Lloyd admits, blushing. Kai raps himself around Lloyd lovingly. "That's my man." He says as he nuzzles Lloyd's cheek.

  Pythor glares at the couple in front of him, looking pissed off. "I...." He starts off, leaving a long pause as Kai's heart stops beating in fear and Lloyd's face pales. "Approve. However, Lloyd?" Pythor says at last. Kai's heart starts beating again and he lets out a breath as the color returns to Lloyd's face. "Y-yeas Pythor?" He says. "You hurt my child and I will end you. Got it?" Pythor says to him in a threatening tone. Lloyd nods his head vigorously in understanding. Pythor nods his head once before turning back to the workshop. Kai follows him in, signaling the others to stay.  

"Dad, I have a question." Kai says. Pythor perks up agin as he grabs a wooden box. "What is it?" Pythor asks in reply. "Well... The spiders we're fighting... Is there a reason they would specifically target me when we show up?" Kai asks nonchalantly like his father wouldn't freak out just because he was calm. Pythor freezes in his tracks with wide eyes. "I want you home now, to ssstay. It isss to dangerousss and I can't loossse my family agin! I would never find myssself if that were to happen!" Pythor yells. "Dad! I have to fight! I jussst give up or abandon my friendsss!" Kai shouts back. "I know you can't loossse me, and I don't want to loossse you two, It'sss my job to go into dangerousss battlesss. I'm both a ninja... And a Custos. Now, you anssswer my quessstion!" Kai continues. Pythor hangs his head in defeat. "You might be the SSSilver Custos." Pythor answers. Kai tilts his head. "The SSSilver what now?" Kai asks.

Pythor sighs. "A great serpentine will arise, a flaming fury like no other. A custos who will bring the serpents above the ground once and for all. A warrior that will unite the humans with the serpentine by blood. Their great silver power will match that of gold. A former ninja, an element of passion, and the savoir of both worlds." Pythor recites the old legend perfectly. "A flaming fury and an element of passion both refer to fire, a Custos that is a former ninja, you don't call yourself a ninja anymore, you call yourself a Custos. Unite the humans with the serpentine by blood. You are both human and serpentine. You are the Silver Custos." Pythor explains, getting very serious. "That's why they want you. They want to take you out before you become a problem for them. You are meant to reunite the humans and serpentine in harmony. It is your destiny to do great things for both races." Pythor explains. "That's another reason why you must stay. I need to complete your Custos training so you may unlock your powers." Pythor continues and Kai feels woozy. He was NOT expecting this...  

  Kai slithers out to the others who are now outside. "So, what did he say?" Jay asks. "Well.... You see..." Kai starts off, not knowing what to do. Pythor comes out behind him. "Let's got to the snake city! I have something's to pick up that I left with Scales." He starts, slithering to a pickup truck. Kai shakes his head, that was his dad for you. Kai goes human before jogging to the truck. "Dad! Wait up! You can't drive!" He calls out. "Then you drive!" Pythor calls, throwing the keys to Kai. "You guys coming?" Kai asks the others.  

  When the team makes it to the underground snake city, they head for Scales's house. All the snakes whisper to each other as they see Pythor with the ninja. Kai feels uncomfortable and nervous, he had a feeling he didn't like what his dad was hear for. They knock on the door of the home and Scales opens up. "PYTHOR?! What are you doing here?!" He asks with wide eyes. "To pick up my affectsss." Is Pythor's answer in a dignified tone. Scales complies, going to grab the things himself since he didn't want the giant purple snake in his home.  

  Scales gives Pythor the anacondrai staff and a total of seven boxes. Pythor takes all eight items. "Dad, let me help you with that." Kai says, holding out his arms. "Why thank you my child." Pythor says in reply as he lets Kai take four boxes. "Wait, 'dad'? But your human!" Scales says to Kai. "Only half actually. My mother was human, but Pythor is indeed my father." Kai replies. "I would like to know if sssomeone could tell usss the prophesssy of the SSSilver Cussstosss?" Pythor asks of Scales. "Of courssse." Scales answers and slithers off, looking for the same serpent who told the ninja of the golden master.  

  Pythor takes the humans, as well as his son and the robot, to the same little pit where they heard the first prophecy. "I knew I wouldn't like why you chose now to get your stuff." Kai says, giving his father a pointed look. "Ha! You know me too well!" Pythor says in reply as he sits down. Kai sits beside his father and beckons Nya to sit on Pythor's other side. Nya does so, but awkwardly. Ronin sits by a Nya, and Lloyd by Kai. Misako sits by Lloyd, and Wu by her. Zane sits by Ronin, Cole in front of Lloyd, and Jay by Cole and in front of Kai.  

When the elder snake comes over, Kai goes into his true form and wraps his tail around Lloyd's waist. Lloyd smiles at this and leans his head on Kai's shoulder. Both hold hands, give each other a quick peck on the lips, and smile. Pythor smiles at his child's happiness. The elder snake begins to talk and all listen. "Long ago, our elders foresaw a great battle between the humans and the Arachnai. They said that a great serpentine will arise, a flaming fury like no other. A custos who will bring the serpents above the ground once and for all. A warrior that will unite the humans with the serpentine by blood. Their great silver power will match that of gold. A former ninja, an element of passion, and the savoir of both worlds. No has known what all this means, but they say it will start with spiders and end with Anacondrai. I, however, believe that the Silver Custos is among us." He says, looking Kai dead in the eye.

Everyone looks to Kai. "YOU TWO?!" Kai shouts in surprise. "I told you." Pythor says smugly. Kai rolls his eyes. "Silver powers, I DON'T HAVE ANY SILVER POWERS!" Kai shouts. "I didn't have any golden powers until I actually started training to be the green ninja." Lloyd points out. "And we didn't have any elemental powers without the golden weapons until much later in our ninja careers." Cole adds on.

Kai grumbles about unfairness and being ganged up on until Lloyd kisses him, causing him to shut up. Everyone chuckles at this. "Why don't you all ssstay the night? It'sss getting rather late." Scales suggests in concern. The gang agrees. Scales leads them to an old home that was not in use. "You may sssleep here for the night." Scales says before slithering away.

  Jay shares a room with Cole, Ronin with Zane, Nya with Misako, Pythor with Wu, and Kai with Lloyd. Kai and Lloyd run for a door at the end of the hall and slam the door behind them. They find a surprise when they see a single king sized bed. Both blush up before sitting on the bed holding hands. Lloyd scans Kai over, mesmerized by the intricacy of his scales. "Why don't you keep this form more often?" The green ninja asks aloud. "I grew up in my human form, so it's more comfortable, but I to admit, I expend less energy in my true form like this. I can't do spinjitsu in this form though..." Kai answers. "Why can't you?" Lloyd asks. "No legs." Is all Kai says, lifting his tail up for show. "Oh." Lloyd says awkwardly.  

Kai chuckles as he wraps his tail around Lloyd tightly and brings them both down on the bed. Both laugh for a bit and stop when they lock eyes. Lloyd blushes and Kai smiles softly. They kiss and it feels like magic to both of them. Lloyd pins Kai to the bed as the serpent's tail wraps around his waist. Kai looks up to Lloyd with wide eyes before Lloyd bends down and they kiss again, this time, however, Lloyd's tung penetrates Kai's mouth. The two make out like this for a while.

Cole walks into a random room with Jay behind him and blushes when he sees the king sized bed. Jay jumps on the bed. "I call bed!" He shouts excitedly, looking for an excuse to wrestle with Cole. The blue ninja didn't know why, but any excuse to touch his best friend made him giddy inside.

Cole rolls his eyes at Jay's childish behavior. "I think not, Zap Trap." He says before pining Jay to the bed. Jay smirks up at him and he suppresses a blush, he currently had the love of his life pined under him, and he couldn't kiss him. Cole was in turmoil. He leans down, letting his lips brush against Jay's ear, causing the brunette to shiver. "I. Call. Bed." He says slowly and huskily. Jay's eyes roll to the back of his head in pure lust when Cole does this. When Jay feel the boner going on his gi, he knows just why he's been having these feelings for Cole lately, but he wasn't gay! Was he? No. He's into girls to... Is he bisexual like Kai? He didn't know. Jay pushes Cole off of him. "Haaaaay!WhyDon'tWeJustShareTheBed?Isn'tThatAGoodIdea?IThinkSo!HowAboutYou?Bye!" Jay rushes out of his mouth, trying to hide his boner as he flees from the room. Cole is left stunned and unable to decipher what Jay just said.

Jay runs at full speed to Kai & Lloyd's room. He knocks on the door, no answer. Are they asleep? He tries the nob. Locked. WTF? Jay groans before twisting the nob in the opposite direction as hard as he can without breaking it, causing the nob to into and stay in a completely unlocked position. He pushes the door open to find Kai and Lloyd still making out. Jay blushes up, but he NEEDED to talk to Kai NOW! Jay clears his throat awkwardly. Kai and Lloyd pull apart looking angry. "Do you mind?!" Kai shouts. Jay flinches. "I'm sorry, but I NEED to speak with Kai! Urgently!" Jay says in a begging plea. Kai sighs before following Jay out. Lloyd takes this as his chance to check on Cole.

Jay leads Kai into the now empty living room. "What is it?" Kai asks him. "Is it possible to... Um... Well... How did you know you were.... Are.... Bisexual?" Jay asks nervously. "I honestly thought I was straight at first. I lost the serpent side of my family at such a young age that I never knew what my true sexuality is supposed to be. I grew up only being attracted to females, but one day I found myself crushing on this guy who came into the shop, and I mean crushing HARD. I started asking questions, and soon found out that it's common for bisexuals to not discover the other side of their sexuality until later on in life, why do you ask?" Kai answers. "I... I think I might like Cole in a romantic since, but I've only ever been attracted to females until now so I'm highly confused." Jay admits. "Well, now you know I guess." Kai says to him sympathetically, having been there before himself.

Jay smiles to him before going to head back to his room. "Thanks Kai, your a real friend." He says before walking away. "Anytime Motor Mouth!" Kai says in reply and both chuckle.

Lloyd knocks on the door to Cole & Jay's room before walking in. Cole lay there on the bed with a mega blush. "Jay issues?" Lloyd asks, leaning against the door frame with a smirk. "Yup." Cole answers. "Heh, thanks to the bluejay my Funtime with Kai just got interrupted." Lloyd says with a glare. "Heh, why do I like him again?" Cole replies. "Now that, my friend, is a question only you can answer." Lloyd says before turning and going back to his room, leaving Cole even more confused.

Jay runs back into the room and pounces on Cole "HAAAAAAY BUDY!" He shouts. Kai watches with a smirk, Cole's blush not going unnoticed by the serpent. Kai chuckles before shutting the door for them and slithering back to his room, ready to be back in Lloyd's arms.
