Chapter Four: I'm Gay 

~Two weeks after the first spider fight~

  Kai walks into the dining room for breakfast with bags under his eyes. Python kept him up all night on the phone. The giant purple snake wanted Kai home right away, no way was he letting Kai fight those monsters, but Kai reminded him that a Custos never gives up.  

Lloyd lays awake on his bed, staring at the ceiling. How the hell was he suppose to get over Kai? He obviously had no shot with the fiery ninja, but he loved Kai to much to give up!

Jay smiles when Cole sits beside him. The blue ninja didn't know why, but he felt oddly more attached to Cole then he ever was. There was this need to be near the black ninja that was indescribable. He only wanted Cole, almost like a drug. If Cole was upset, he became uneasy, if Cole was happy, he was ecstatic, if Cole was gone, he became depressed and irritable, if Cole was angry, he became angry to, unless Cole was angry with him, then he became depressed. He didn't know why! It was similar to his old feelings for Nya, but 99,000 times stronger! He wished he knew why!

  Nya at beside Ronin, the two eating in peace as a happy little couple.  

Cole felt nervous by Jay's side, but so happy that Jay seemed to brighten up. He smiles inwardly, then wonders where Lloyd could be.

  Lloyd sits up. He had a feeling he was going to hate today. He gets ready and heads out to find everyone else already there. "Good morning Lloyd. Looks like you decided to join the living. Care to explain what's going on?" Kai says, patting the seat beside him. Lloyd takes the seat and looks to him with bags under his eyes. "I... I don't want to talk about it." Lloyd mumbles, looking down to the food Zane sits in front of him. "You sure?" Kai asks, placing a hand on Lloyd's back with a worried look. "Yeah, I'm just tired, that's all." The blond says. "OK, but if you change your mind I always have time for you bud." Kai says kindly and Lloyd feels his face heat up. Goddamn it! Why did Kai have to turn around and be all sweet? Didn't the brunette know what he was doing to the blond beside him?! Lloyd felt tears prick his eyes. Why did it have to be Kai?  

 Kai freaks out at the sight of Lloyd's tears. "Woe! What is it? Lloyd, I wanna help! What's going on?!" Kai says in surprise before hugging Lloyd. Lloyd hugs back and buries his face in Kai's neck. Hot tears stream down Lloyd's face as he weeps into Kai. Kai rubs his back soothingly. "What's going on?" Kai asks softly. "You wouldn't understand." Lloyd mumbles. "I've been through a lot kid, even before becoming a ninja, I'm pretty sure I can relate in some way." Kai counters. Lloyd gets caught on one word, 'kid'. Kid. KID. Is that how Kai saw him? As a kid? Lloyd looks up to Kai with wide, shocked eyes. "Kai, be honest with me. How do you view me?" Lloyd asks. Kai is surprised, but complies. "That depends on what you mean. I know your a strong, kind, and generous person who cares deeply cares for his family, team, and realm. I know you love candy, even now, and that you have several candy stashes in our room. I know you where born when Garmadon was still evil, but still loved and looked up to your dad anyway, because he was your dad. I know you cried into me when you became the green ninja because you didn't want to hurt your dad. I know you were severely bullied at Darkly's, and honestly don't really like the color green, you like red a lot more. I know you like to listen to music when you train. I know you have the purest heart I've ever met and it makes me want to strive to be like you in even the smallest way because you've been through so much so soon and so fast and still stand strong, not giving up on what's important to you. Your a beautiful person. That's how I see you." Kai answers, he didn't know why he just said all that, but it was done. Lloyd tears up more and gasps. That was... Beautiful. Lloyd felt a strong urge to kiss him after that, but he pushed it away, however, that didn't stop his body from gradually moving closer to Kai. Both males felt a pull that had their faces just centimeters from each other, waiting to see who would break the space when Wu walks in from out of nowhere. "Ninja, head to downtown now! They need you!" He says. Lloyd and Kai pull away from each other swiftly, all but them & Cole dismissing what just happened.  

Everyone runs to downtown and when Kai sees the spiders he pales & begins to shake. God did the world hate him! He emediatly runs behind Lloyd to 'hide'. Everyone starts fighting but Kai who is busy being frozen in terror. A spider spins him in webbing and takes off with him. "KAI!" Both Lloyd and Nya scream when they see this, unable to get to him in time. When the spiders make it to the woods, Kai comes out of his shock, but can't break out, and the webbing is fire proof! He growls before deciding to go into full on snake form.

Kai closes his eyes tightly and focuses on turning his skin into scales. He focuses on changing into a whole other form, and a purple fire surrounds him, turning him into an anacondrai. His long purple scaly body pushes against the cocoon. His red markings pop out in the sun light once he's free, and his orange eyes glow with fury. He falls to the ground and gets up. The spiders look to him in shock before he lets out a battle cry and halls off on the arachnids. When the ninjas catch up, they find the snake standing in the middle of a bunch of dead spider bodies. "Who are you?" Cole asks. "K-Kai.....Ren..... Kairen!" Kai says, trying to not freak out. No one could know about this side of him.

"Where is Kai?!" Lloyd asks, looking angry. "Are you talking about the human? He ran off screaming." Kai answers, keeping cool. "He a friend of yours?" The snake asks. "Y-yeah..." Lloyd says, blushing. "Well, I hope you find him. However, little green one." Kai says. "Yeah." Lloyd speaks up. "You seem, to determined to get to him." Kai says, suspiciously. "He's right, If I didn't know any better, I'd say you have a gay crush on him, but of course not, your better then that." Nya says. Lloyd goes wide eyed. "I do... Actually." The blond admits, not wanting to lie. Nya looks angry. "You a have a problem with homosexuality?" Kai asks her, eyes narrowed. "It's wrong. There are males and females for a reason!" Nya says. "It's natural, and I'm bi." Kai says, looking angry. "Yeah, now I'm glad we broke up. My aunt is married with a wife! As in Lesbian!" Jay says. "It's not my fault that that's the way I was raised. Kai would agree." She says, crossing her arms and standing her ground. "I'm not going to start hating you or anything, to each their own, but non on that shit around me, OK? I respect your believes if you respect mine." She explains, not wanting to cause a fight. The others nod. "We better find Kai." Cole says. "Agreed." Says Zane. They run in the direction the snake pointed to.

Kai uses his anacondrai abilities and slithers off ahead. He turns human, a pure red fire changing him this time, and climbs the tree all the way up until the branches get to thin.

"What are your thoughts on homosexuality, Zane, Cole?" Jay asks. "I have no thoughts really. It is what it is." Zane answers. "I.... Uh....." Cole says. What should he do? He looks to Lloyd. He could let the little guy get outed by himself. "I'm gay actually." He admits. "Then, how were you into Nya back then?" Jay asks. "I wasn't. Not really. I was just trying to hide. In the closet, you know?" Cole answers, looking nervous. When they reach Kai's tree, Lloyd looks up and spots his red gi. "Kai! Come down!" Lloyd calls up. When there is no reaction, he climbs up. When Lloyd reaches Kai, he sees the blushing mess that is the red ninja. How was Kai suppose to deal with the new information?! Lloyd was his best friend! His best friend has a gay crush on him! He felt freaked out. He takes a deep breath with his eyes closed before opening his eyes and looking into Lloyd's emerald green eyes. The two lose themselves in the moment, as instinct glides them into each other. Their lips meet and both close their eyes, giving in and kissing. Kai grabs Lloyd's waist, pulling the younger male into his lap. Lloyd's hands tangle in Kai's hair, oh how he needed this! Lloyd lets out a soft moan in satisfaction as Kai's tung grazes his lips, asking for entrance. Lloyd gasps when Kai moans lowly, allowing Kai to plunge his tung into Lloyd's mouth, causing Lloyd to let out a gasp and happy moan at the same time as Kai explores every inch of the deep cave. When the two finally pull away for air, Kai looks horrified. "W-what's wrong?" Lloyd asks. "I... I have a girlfriend." Kai says and Lloyd's eyes go wide.  

He just made out with Kai & Kai has a girlfriend who in no way deserves this. He felt like a monster. He watches as Kai tears up a bit. Loyalty is one of the most important things to Kai, so of course he was upset! What had he done?"What have I done?" Kai asks himself in fear
