Episode One: Way of the criminal.

Nya hops out of a taxi in front of an old apartment building. She walks up and enters. She walks to the elevator and enters. She presses the button for the fourth floor and waits as it goes up. When she reaches her destination she walks to a door with a four on it and knocks. Kai opens up and looks surprised. Nya puts down her luggage and hugs him. "Bubby!" She cheers and he hugs back with a small smile. "Nya, what are you doing in this rundown city?" He asks when he pulls back. "I'm going to the Ninjago City College. My first day of classes is tomorrow and I was wondering if I could stay with you till I find my own place." She answers with a sweet smile. "I was just gonna get a hotel room, but aunt Jade called and she doesn't want me staying in some 'shady hotel' so she made me ask you." Nya adds. Kai chuckles. "That sounds like aunt Jade. I agree with her though. You can stay with me for as long as you want sis. I don't mind one bit. Just know that I'll be gone like ninety percent of the time though. I'm on the police force and this city has a high crime rate. Okay?" Kai explains and she nods.

Kai let's Nya enter and leads her to his guest room. "This will be your room now I guess. You can do what ever, but don't go anywhere at night alone. The streets aren't safe. Heck, I don't even want you outside alone in the day, but you are an adult and I'll respect that. Now I better get going or I'll be late for work. I don't think I'll be home for dinner tonight so just grab something from the fridge. Okay?" Kai explains and she nods.

"Be safe, and don't come home dead." She says with a smile and Kai chuckles. He had missed her. Kai kisses her for head, making no promises, and leaves in his uniform.

When Kai reaches the police station he walks in and over to the counter. "Hey Dick. What to they have me working?" He asks. Dick checks the computer, his black hair shining under the florescent lights. "Patrols around the city. Your the head today." He answers his brunette friend.

Ronin comes walking in from the back. "Hey Kai! There you are." He says as he & Kai do a bro hug. "Sup Ronin. Let's go." Kai says with a smile just before the two walk out to their patrol car.

Over at the City Library, Wu stacks books back on their shelves. Cole enters and sits in a back corner. He sits there with a gay porn magazine and looks just plain grumpy.

Jay enters next and grabs a bunch of books that have to do with technology. He looks around for a place to sit, but every table is taken. Cole looks up and sees Jay. Cole smirks with a lust filled face as he looks Jay up and down. "Hey!" Cole calls and Jay looks to him with wide eyes. "You can sit here! I won't bite!" Cole calls, waving Jay over. "On the first date..." Cole then mumbles under his breath.

Jay sits across from Cole and notices the elder males magazine. Jay suddenly feels uncomfortable and can't seem to find a good position as he reads, making sure to stay aware of what's going on around him.

Cole smirks. "I don't think I've seen you around here before....." Cole trails off. "Jason Walker, but everyone calls me Jay. I'm new actually. I'm a freshman at the local Collage." Jay says and Cole smiles. "Coleman Hence, but everyone calls me Cole. Are you studying abroad? I notice you have a Serpentine accent." Cole says. Jay smiles. "Yes. I'm from Serpentinya." Jay answers and Cole nods. Both get back to their reading.

Next comes in Zane who goes to the medical science section and gets some books. He then walks over to Jay & Cole's table. "Mind if I join? All other tables are taken." Zane asks. Cole grunts. "Go ahead Zane." He says and Zane nods, sits, and reads.

Kai drives around the city with Ronin in the passenger seat. He looks board as he sits at a red light. Suddenly, the radio comes on. A bank robbery at the city back. Kai & Ronin look to each other with wide eyes before Kai kicks on his sirens and takes off.

When the pair makes it the chief walks to their car and Kai rolls down his window. "Chief." Kai says with a nod. The Chief nods. "You two aren't working this. Get to the Mayor's house. Misako Garmadon has gone missing." He says & Kai nods. "Got it Chief Nelson." Kai says and rolls out with his sirens on again.

When Kai reaches the Garmadon residence he gets out with Ronin behind him and knocks on the door. Mayor Garmadon answers and let's them in. Kai notices a crying ten year old in the corner. It's the young Lloyd Garmadon. Kai leaves Ronin to talk with Garmadon as he walks over to Lloyd. "You okay kid?" Kai asks him. Lloyd looks at Kai with wide eyes before glaring. "Go away! I want my mommy!" Lloyd calls. Kai smiles. "I like your spunk kid, but that's why I'm here. It's my job to find her." Kai says. Lloyd looks at Kai angrily for a bit before hugging the cop. Kai smiles warmly and hugs back.

After the questions are over, Kai & Ronin go to the station to look over what they found out.
