It had been several hours since it was considered the evening. The ninja were put on a patrolling duty, insisted by mr. Hutchins. The ninja had no idea why that was. "Perhaps he's being too paranoid?" Cole suggested only to be turned down by their temporary sensei. "Guys, remember why we're here. We're here to protect the royal family at all costs. If they say that they suspect a break-in tonight, then we've gotta stay on high alert." Lloyd defended the royal family. The other five didn't really have a choice, they couldn't argue back against Lloyd's words. It was now 8 at night. This was how placements went: the green ninja would be guarding the halls leading to the family's resting chambers. The fire and water siblings would be by the entrance, the lightning ninja and the the earth ninja were guarding the mask of deception and finally, the nindroid was placed in the gardens.

"It's been ten minutes since your last report, please do so." Lloyd spoke over the radio. His zone was rather calm, no suspicions were spotted on his watch. Zane had reported that there was no one lurking by the garden, remarking that the moon looked quite lovely tonight as well. No one made moves by the glass case holding the mask of deception. Now Lloyd was worried about Kai and Nya. The two that didn't report at the requested time. Along the pavement and gates, paced back and forth the two ninja. "Yes well, we're here to report that there's nothing going on. If anything, we're the ones looking funny, constantly approaching then distancing from the main gates." Kai affirmed. Nya was sitting by the steps of the palace. She chuckled slightly, overhearing her brother's statement. "I think that's a bit too much. No one would visit the palace at this time." His little sister reminded.

"Just stay on high alert, alright? I don't want us risking anything. It would be bad if we upset the royal family." Lloyd reminded them over the communicators placed in each ninja's ear. "Yeah I know, I know. Or perhaps you're afraid of failing because you've got eyes on the princess?" Jay teased at his turn. A few following laughs from his comrades were heard. Lloyd stood in place, completely unphased. "Oh this again? Honestly." He groaned. The others have been teasing him all afternoon about how he gleamed over at Princess Harumi.
Why? Was he not allowed to do so? Was he not allowed to send the princess his positivity? "We're so glad that our little ninja is growing up." Kai remarked. Growing up? He's the most mature one here, they should be the ones planning to grow up. It couldn't be helped. He still loved his dear friends to even plan to scold at them for being so ignorant and bothersome. In which, they weren't.
"What's the matter? Why so quiet Lloyd?" The red ninja continued.

However, before he could say anything else, Nya's piercing voice was heard through the communicator. It was rather distant because she was standing far away from where her brother was. "Kai! There's..." she couldn't finish her statement. In fact, that was the last of her voice. What took over next were ear-piercing growls coming from a vehicle, a motorbike. Loud panting accompanied by other voices were heard through the red and grey ninjas' lines. Then, "What a beautiful night for a little mayhem!" A scream similar to one of a banshee's, proclaimed. This was bad. Kai and Nya were practically surrounded by a line of bikers. They were armed, protected and were intimidating enough. "There's trouble." Kai spoke over the radio. "Do you think you can take them on, sis?" He questioned to his sister, who got up from the stairs. The water ninja nodded. "I sure am." She agreed. The two ninjas raced into battle against these punk-themed intruders.

Everything in between was sent to the void. After one simple explosion used by hand grenades, nothing was left. Of the palace and of the royal family. Panic washed over the ninjas as they felt completely cornered, overwhelmed. "Where's the mask of deception?" Lloyd called over on his communicator, he ran through the halls to meet up with Jay and Cole. It was hard to navigate oneself due to all the smoke and flames burning up the wooden planks. When the green ninja finally met up with the two other ninjas, he spotted a familiar sight. It was a robot, painted in complete black and red. He must be one of SOG's high ranking members.

In his hands were pieces coated in orange. Lloyd could only imagine what it was. No..."The mask of deception is broken?" He turned over to Jay and Cole. However, half of his reliefs were washed away when the blue ninja affirmed the following: "No, that one is a fake." The green ninja exhaled, glancing over at the furious Mr. E. "Fake? Oh thank goodness, wait fake? Where's the real one?"
He questioned earring  few shrugs from the two ninjas. The two others had no clue but they couldn't answer due to an interruption coming from Zane. The nindroid ran through the halls to join them. "Have you seen the princess anywhere?" He asked the three, worriedly. That's when Lloyd felt his eyes snap open. Oh FSM, Where was the princess?!

Ultra Violet hopped off his motorcycle and rushed through the princess' resting chambers. She spotted that she was no where in sight. The room was clouded in smoke and flames were bursting everywhere. She puffed, entering the room even more. "Quiet one?" She called out, moving a few untouched bookshelves out of the way. Where was she? She couldn't have possibly accidentally killed her in the process right? Yet she was the one that insisted to continue this plan full steam ahead. It would be ironic if she actually perished from this. Ultra looked around even more, if she stayed here anymore, she'd pass out. But she had to withstand against the chaotic environment, more smoke entered her mind. Before the purple coded general could say anything else, she heard a small cough coming from under a table. "Ultra...I'm here." called out Harumi.

The girl with a black ponytail rushed over to the table. "I can get you out, if you'd like." She offered to the SOG's leader. However, Harumi declined. "No, I've got it. Just step back." She insisted, Ultra did exactly what she was told. She took four steps back away from the table. It didn't take long for a bright light green orb to fill Ultra Violet's vision. She knew exactly what this meant in fact, she's seen the powers of the light green ninja before. Whenever she let out her wrath on some of the members of the SOG. The table denigrated into a pile of ashes. Harumi stood up from the ground, she looked at Ultra Violet with hostile light green eyes. "What's with that look?" The princess asked. The purple coded chuckled slightly. "It's nothing, I was just wondering whether I should tell you that you need to use your abilities more wisely, quiet one." She reminded.

But Harumi narrowed her eyebrows, she made her way towards the doorframe of her room. "Oh shut up. Do not question my motives for using my powers. You have no right to do so. Anyways, I'll be on my way now. Hav you retrieved the mask of deception yet?" She questioned. Unfortunately, she didn't receive the answer she wanted. Without the mask, it forced them to continue the assault no matter what. Even though many lives will be lost, it had to be done. There will never be an opportunity like this ever again. "According to Mr. E, the one kept at the west of the palace is a fake." Ultra reported. Harumi stopped at her tracks, entirely in disbelief after she heard the news. The mask of deception kept entirely in the open was fake, ahahaha, so they think this is funny?
"Keep the attack going. I'll retrieve the mask myself then deliver it to you as soon as possible. For now, follow my lead but stay hidden from the other ninja." She gave her final orders before she walked off from her burning chambers.

"Zane! Perform a search on the entire palace. We need to find her whereabouts." Lloyd instructed the nindroid. Their mission was simple, protect the royal family from any possible threat yet they failed just that. They could atleast save the princess. But first, they needed to know where she was. "Affirmative, the scan is starting." The titanium ninja confirmed, his eyes turning into a lighter shade of blue. His head turned once and a while, actively searching the entire palace through his head. That is, when he spotted a figure running in their direction. "I believe we have found her." Zane drastically stopped his search to meet up with the newcomer.

Like expected, they saw the jade-clad princess running towards them. She had her palms covering her mouth. Once she met up with Zane, Lloyd, Jay and Cole. She gave a worried look. "Where...where are my parents?" She whimpered. Reduced into a pile of ashes, that's where they were. Yet, she couldn't give one single damn about it. She was more than glad to finally have them out of her life. Yet, for the final finish, she made an effort to nail off this act's performance. "I'm very sorry, Harumi. They didn't make it." What she heard wasn't the ninjas responding. All five of them whipped their heads to the side to spot Hutchins calmly trotted, stick in hand. Zane was the first one to react. "They didn't make it?" He asked again. It earned a nod from Hutchins once more. For a second there, Harumi felt herself fill up with greed as she spotted the familiar orange mask in the hands of the man. Her eyes twitched, turning light green for a second. Unfortunately, the ninja didn't spot that.

If they did, one half of Harumi's plan would be salvaged. Second, she would have Lloyd make goo-goo eyes at her, begging her to join his side like the legacy stated. "You must take the princess with you along with this. I entrust you with both her safety and the mask's." Hutchins told Lloyd while giving him both the mask and permission for Harumi to reside with the ninja. With that, the master of armes began walking off away from the five. That made interrogation marks enter all five of their minds. "Mr. Hutchins, you're not coming with us?" Cole inquired. Harumi stayed close to Lloyd, she felt her powers recharge from the power use to free herself from the table's grasp. Right, that's one of the benefits of having the green and light green ninja close together. Hutchins shook his head. "I must attend to something else at the moment. Just please get out of here." He told the rest.

Lloyd shut his eyes. He didn't have a choice but to abide huh? "Yes of course, best of luck on getting out. Hutchins." Lloyd replied and grabbed Harumi by the hand. He turned to the others. "We group up with Nya and Kai then we're fleeing the palace." was their current mission at hand. Most of them seemed fine with it, even Harumi. That way, she can advance with her plans. They can be redirected towards the Oni temple in Primeval's Eye. Yes, she knew the temple's location but could never get it for herself since she wasn't part oni. That's why, she had to mostly rely on Lloyd, who had the blood of an oni. "Alright, team, let's go." The green ninja led the way. It was like that how the ninjas fled from their responsibilities. Sure, Hutchins gave them permission to do so, but Harumi's wrath for them kept growing every second.

Who did they think they were? It's already bad enough that they couldn't protect her as well as the emperor and empress. The five of them ran out of the palace. Two figures ran up to them. "Kai! Nya!" Lloyd called out as they all met up. The fire ninja looked down, ashamed that he couldn't stop all of this from happening. "We didn't know what happened. Those criminals...they just showed up and.." the fire ninja trailed off in an apologetic tone. Lloyd stopped him from saying anything else. "Let's not dwell on our failure for now. We'll make up for it." He assured the water and fire ninja. "For now, we need to get the mask out of here." Lloyd' s eyes darted over to their escape plan. There was parked one motorbike in front of them. "Come on, Rumi." He beckoned.

Just like that, Lloyd and Harumi had driven off. According to the ninjas, it wouldn't entirely be called as a 'ditch'. They had the mask, so it was important for them to get out of here as soon as possible. What Lloyd didn't know was that he was falling for Harumi's trap. The princess dug her hand in her robes' pockets and took out a purple signal flare. She took off the top and launched it up to the sky, creating an evident flash in the sky right above them. Purple obviously means: Ultra Violet. Both Lloyd and Harumi heard the flare go off. "What was that?" Lloyd remained calm, it would be bad to panic while driving. He must have not notice her hand raising to launch the signal upwards, good. Harumi pretended to look astray. "I-I don't know...maybe this bike was a trap set by those bad guys...maybe they purposely put it there.." she acted all scared.

"Did you get a good look at what it was?" Lloyd asked her without turning back. He had to keep his eyes on the road. Harumi thought for a second before she shook her head. "N-No.." She replied unsteadily. Before Lloyd could when respond, a yell like one of a Banshee was heard from behind them. "And where do you think you're going?" was Ultra Violet, catching up to them on her purple-coloured motorbike. The green ninja internally groaned. Not good not good. He had to go faster, what he was mostly afraid of was losing gas.
"L-Lloyd! She's catching up!" Harumi warned, holding onto his shoulders for dear life. Ultra Violet gave a fierce smile, Lloyd was panicked and Harumi? The princess simply waved at her general, a wicked grin on her own lips. Am outstanding chase has just gone underway!

Bea: Well, well, well, hello! How's everyone doing? Yeah I know it's been completely ages since we last updated but, we finally got the time to update. To be fair, Miss Void finished her chapter a bit earlier than today however, I was still in school when she did. My finals were going underway so I didn't really have time to check through the chapter and update and such. But now, we bring you the long awaited chapter 6 of TNBTTV. We don't know when the next chapter will be out but I certainly hope that it will be soon. I love this series and I love the storyline so far in this book. RumiVoid: Ello there, guys. Ya girl RumiVoid is here with more TNBTTV! What did you guys think of my chapter? I hope it was fine for you all since I kind of spent a few hours deciding on what to do that day. To be fair, I had writer's block too that day so please do not blame me lol. So looks like the next chapter will be a chase? Hah, I'm stocked! I hope everything goes well with our three main characters for the next chapter: Lloyd, Harumi and Ultra Violet.
Will Ultra Violet retrieve the mask or will Harumi keep it with the ninja? Well...I'm guessing you guys already know the answer since S8 has been released since quite a while now...But I promise you, that chapter will have a twist!
