Kai's p.o.v

Zane, Bastian and Zucora have placed my on bed rest. Really don't blame them. I'm completely drained. From having an arrow embedded in my chest, to a sword impaled in my side to giving birth all in under three hours, my energy is spent.

The ninja and Zodiac family have gone out to hunt for Fowline. After he attacked me, he lost the title of grandfather. Danny and Dillon are curled into me, Bella beside at my belly with Milly laying on my legs. My kids literally have me pinned, not that I mind.

Danny squirms, crawling up my chest, he latches on my right nipple, suckling as Dillon follows. Bastian has me on a drip to help with the formation of milk for them.

He explained why I never showed to us. Saying that male Zobiacs are more sought after for child bearing cause we produce strong children. But, we are also sought after to be killed.

That's why, after a male has intercourse with another, we're tested to see if the seed took. If it did, we're hidden for safety till the little in born, or in my case, little ones.

The reason for the drip, is cause while pregnant, I should have been drinking a tea to help with the formation of milk. When born, I could have had milk for the twins up to a year.

For now, I have to stay on the drip for a month. And stay in bed for two. The door opens, pulling me from my thoughts as Cole walks in. "You look comfortable." He says, walking over. I smile as he combs my hair. Cole stayed to keep an eye on me.

"The others." I ask. "Still hunting. That sob isn't going to hurt you." Cole says. I smile again as Bella shifts. She lifts her head, seeing Cole, she coos.

"What, hungry." She reaches for hem. Cole picks her up as Milly gets up. "Come on squirt, let's find something to eat for y'all and mama." Cole says, holding Milly by the hand.

I can't help the smile that forms. Cole has taken that we now have four kids to the heart. All hold a piece of it. He's only been the father of four for a few days and it's like its been years.

Closing my eyes, I could have never anticipated what happened next.

Lloyd's p.o.v

We meet back up at the old telepaths camp, I relay what I found. "He's sending us on a wild goose chase." Tabious said.

I think of all the places Fowline has gone. Taking out a map of the island, I begin marking where he's gone. Conner and Copper watch me as I do, a pit in my stomach begins to form. He's gone to every landmark, river, shoreline. The only place he hasn't gone is......

"Flyers, return to the Bounty, he separated us from Kai. That was his plan all along." I order. The eleven take to the skys, we form our dragons and the telepaths ride with us. When we get there, all hell had broke loose.

Cole gets up from the floor, Bella cries from the highchair that was tipped over, Milly under it as she had caught it. A thud sounds down the hall. Me, Bastian, Marcus and Zane runs down. The sight will forever haunt me.

Kai's p.o.v (ten minutes before.)

I was relaxing, waiting for Cole to bring some food. I'm started by a loud thud, Bella crying as Milly yelps in pain.

My gut tells me something is wrong. Getting up, I gather the twins in the blanket, putting them in the tub and going to the closet. Grabbing my sword, I hold it out.

Fowline comes in, he's unarmed but I know he can kill me easily. I hold the sword out, Fowline is on me in an instant. His hand grabs the blade, throwing me sideways. The blade clatters feet from my right, I roll over, blood soaking my side from the stitches reopening. Dragging myself closer, I reach out, only to be drug back.

Fowline slams his fist into my chest over and over again, ribs creaking and breaking. Throwing a fire ball at hem, I roll over, launching to the sword. Fowline dives at me as my hand closes around the helt and I bring it around.
