My name's Kai

Sun light floods in, it messes with my eyes. Opening amber brown eyes, I look around. Soft snoring has me looking at Cole. He has me to his chest, my hand curled over his heart, one of my legs cross over his. I smile, nuzzling back down for a bit longer. Cole's hand moves on my back, I look at hem, green meeting red. "If this is heaven, I don't want to leave." Cole says, pulling me in for a kiss. I straddle his chest, the blanket pooled around us. "I never regretted finding you. My only regret is that I didn't find you sooner." He says. "I'm glad you freed me. Now, I feel nothing but love when I felt nothing but pain for so long." I kiss hem. We stay like that for a while than get up and enjoy our honeymoon.

Two weeks go by, I'm in my shop, finishing a new sculpture of mom and dad with Austin, Tris, me and Mikey. My phone rings, it's mom. "Hey mama." I answer. 'Can you by chance pick Tris up. She got sick at school and no one else can get her.' Mom says. I get up, grabbing my coat and pulling it on. "I can get her. The guys are training but Wu let's me train on my own time due to how advanced I'm in combat. I'll be there." I tell mama. 'Thank you, baby. I'm glad back in the family. Tris looks up to the two of you. I gotta go, call when ya have her situated." Mama said. "I'll bring her back to the ship. I don't have a key yet." 'I'll have one made for you, later.' "Bye, mama." With that, I hang up and head out.

Coming out on the deck, Cole and Jay pause in their sparring. "Hey, come to watch." Cole asks. "No, mom called, Tris got sick at school and no one else can get her." I say, going down the ramp. Footsteps behind alert me to Cole. "I'll come with. Me and Jay were finishing up anyway." I smile, kissing his cheek. We come to the school, I go to the office. The receptionist looks up. "I'm here for Tris Zodiac." "Name and relation." "Kai Brickstone, I was a Zodiac. I'm her oldest brother." Her eyes light up. "So your the one she talks about. She's very fond of you. Through that door, down the hall, third door on the left." She says. I follow the directions, coming to the room. Tris lifts her head as I go over. "Big...brother." she coughs.

It breaks my heart to see her so down. This isn't like her. Cole grabs her bag as the nurse holds a clip board out. Signing my name at who picked her up, I pick sissy up. She wraps her arms around my neck, head bearyed in it. Walking out, we come to the lunch room and Cole pops the door open. We walk out and to the Bounty. Coming up the ramp, Cole opens the door. I head to my old room, laying her on the bed. Pulling her shoes off and pulling the covers over her, I brush some of her hair back, kissing her forehead. Turning to leave, she rolls over "Love you, big brother." She closes her eyes, falling asleep.

Going to the living room, I pick up her bag. Putting it on the table, I pull my phone out. Calling mom, she picks up. 'Hey, you got her.' Mom asks. "Yep, she's asleep in my old room. I'm fixing to make her some soup." I say. 'No tomato, she's highly allergic.' Mom says. "Good to know, call when you or dad get home and I'll bring her by." 'Will do, son.' Mom hangs up.

Going to the kitchen, Zane stirs a pot. "Hey, think Tris will tomato soup." "She's allergic to tomatoes." Zane nods, grabbing a small pot and I set about making her chicken soup. Finishing, I take it to her. Tris is out on the bed, hands curled near her head. I smile, setting the bowl down and kneel. Shaking her shoulder gently, she looks at me. "Hey little T, want to try some soup." She nods a little, sits up, coughing into the napkin. I take a thermometer, placing it under her tounge and take her temp.

For the next week, I stay with mom and dad to watch over Tris. She gets better under my watch and soon, I'm walking her to school. She he's my hand across the street as we come to the school.

My phone goes off, Lloyd's ID. 'George's diner, need help. This dude is am elemental master.' He says. I take off, coming to the diner. A pink ball hits me, I slam into the wall. "Kai" Lloyd calls. Getting up, we charge together. The master charges a blast, I get in front and it slams into me, knocking me into Lloyd. He crash on the ground and I know noting else.
