Kai's p.o.v

Two months have past, the guys have tried everything to help find my birth mother and family. But, it's on hold cause they're on a mission. I'm walking the streets of Ninjago after dropping off some of the sculptures to Mr.Collen. He really loves my work, even bought a few hemself. I'm getting hungry so I head to the dinner. Coming in, it has an outside patio, I notice someone waving. Austin and Mikey along with Tris is with them. Going over, Mikey pulls out a chair. "What you doing here." Austen asks. I sit down, two adults come. I go wide eye at the lady, she looks like an older version of the picture I have. "You must be Kai, the three have told us much about you. I'm Seianna, Tris and Austin's mother. This is Seiya, their father."

Oh my god, he looks just like me. Tris looks between us "Kai looks like you, daddy." She says. All eyes turn to us, Seiya gets up, he comes over to me and kneels. "He's a carbon copy of you, love." Seianna says. She than takes my hands, looking me in the eyes. More like under them. She thumbs the slits under my eyes, her eyes lighting up. "How old are you." She says. I look at her, her green eyes, purple hair, strong posture. "Se...seventeen. Two months ago." I say. "Were you taken away from your mother at birth by a man who was a slave master." Seianna asks. I don't trust my voice so I nod. "Do you by chance know what your mother looks like." She asks. Pulling my hands away, I reach into my pocket, pulling out the picture. I hand it to her.

When Seianna unfolds the picture, she covers her mouth. "That's you shortly before being taken." Seiya said. The two look at me, I lower my head. This..this is it, I may have found my family and I didn't plan on it. "Can we do a test, a DNA test." Seiya asks. I realise he's talking to me. "Honey, it could takes weeks, I don't want to get my hopes up." Seianna says. "My friend Zane can do the test, it'll only take a few minutes." I say. They nod, we eat and I pay, as a thank you for letting me join them for lunch. I walk back to the Bounty, my phone rings. Pulling it out, it's Cole. 'Hey, you in town.' He asks. "Yeah, is Zane with ya." I ask, Seiya looking at me. The phone shuffles, Zane coming on. 'What you need.' He asks. "Have the medbay ready. I'll explain on the ship, it's too much for over the phone." I tell hem. I hang up as we come to the ship, walking up the ramp, the guys meet us. I go over, they surround me. I explain what transpired and Zane agrees to do the test.

In the bay, Zane swabs mine, Seiyas and Seiannas cheeks. Drawing blood from us as well, he puts all six tests in the machine. I rub my arm, Cole wraps an arm around me, drawing me close. The machine beeps, Zane gets the paper, he hands it to me. Looking, I read the contents, it gits like a ton of bricks. I start to cry for the first time in seventeen years, hugging Seiya and Seianna, no, hugging my mother and father. They hold me close, the three of us crying. Pulling away, I hug Cole, he holds me close. "We found them, we found my family." I cry, the sting of the slits nothing compared to the joy and love that's inside me. Cole's kisses my cheek, nuzzling my neck. A throat clears, I look at dad. "Care to explain. Not that I have anything with my eldest being gay." Dad says. "Mom, dad, meet Cole Brickstone, the one who helped me this past year and...my fianceé." I say. Mom claps her hands, she hugs Cole. "I bearly know you, but, to help my son, I'm glad to have you part of our family. Now, let's go see Austin and Tris." I samile, wanting to meet my new brother and sister.

We go out, Tris coming over. "Well, what's the results." She asks. I kneel, looking at her. "How'd you having two big brothers." I say. I hit the beck as she tackles me into a hug. Austin's smiling like a loon. He comes over, helping me up and I hug hem as well. "Welcome home, brother." Austin said as mom and dad hug us.

A days weeks pass, I'm going to see what my childhood home would have looked like. The ninja are with me, mom and dad invited them to the annual family reunion, I'm going to meet my grand parents, aunts and uncles. Coming up the door, I rang the bell. Dad smiles as he opens the door, we go in. Walking the hall, I look at the pictures on the wall. The last one is my favorite, maybe cause I'm in it finally. Walking into the living room, all chatter stops. All eyes are on me. I wave, an elderly woman comes up. She looks at me "I'm grandma Maxcine, on your mother's side." I smile "Its great to meet you." I than see a very familiar face. "Mr.Collen." I say, he smiles as he comes over. "Its grandpa now, I'm Seiyas dad." I smile. I look around the room, noticing a shelf on the wall. It has pictures and nicknacks on it. Going over, I see one of the sculptures I made.

Taking it with care, I hold it. "You have a good eye, it was done by someone of great skill. Dad won't tell me who." Dad says. "I know who made it." I said, placing it back. "Who." Mom says. "Me. I learned at the slave camp. I had a shop and it was my way to excape from the drama and pain if what was happening. I give grandpa sculptures I've done and he sells them, holding the money till I return for more clay and paints." I said as dad smiles. Before he can speak, Nya's bracelet goes of, Zane's internal alarm goes off.

Cole comes, kissing my cheek "Duty calls, love. We'll be back." With that, they head out. Wu touches my shoulder, I smile, I'm not ready. Grandpa turns on the tv, we watch. A bank is being held hostage, fifthteen civilians inside. My sharp eyes see bombs at the structural supports. The ninja go in, I look at Wu. He's seen the bombs, the ninja just signed their deaths. "Kai, like it or not, it's time for you to become part of the ninja. Time to embrace the fire within and become the master of fire. They need you and your the only one." Wu says. "Son, what's he talking about." Dad says as the bombs go off, the bank in flames. I stand "Who are you Kai." Wu says. "I'm Kai Zodiac. Fiancee of Cole Brickstone, formally a slave. Master of fire and I'll protect my family."

I look Wu in the eyes than, for the first time, I preform spinjitzu. Stopping, my gi is now proudly on me. Dad and mom hug me, I return it, look at my family and head out to save the rest.

'Look out Ninjago, I'm coming. No more will I hide, no more will I cower.'

I jump on a roof, overlooking the blaze. I front flip off, landing on a police car and jump off.
