Following instructions from Artemis, Kai and Aaron travelled through the vast biomes of the Light Valley. They made it as far as the Purple Jungle, a place, where dragons are found.

Kai felt increasingly tired, he could barely keep his eyes open. He had been using his energy for five hours now, constantly focused on creating a dragon. 

The red ninja had darkness before his eyes and closed his eyes for a moment. Suddenly he was snapped out of his calm state by Aaron's violent shout and a pull on his shoulders.

- Kai, look out! - he called out in terror. Kai grabbed the reins at the last moment and steered the dragon sideways to avoid colliding with a tree.

Flame was also tired, so he didn't pay attention as he flew.

- Enough!!! I have to land, because I'm losing my strength. - growled Kai and directed Flame to land on one of the large mushrooms growing in the jungle.

The dragon landed on the hat, a glowing mushroom, and immediately disappeared, causing both boys to hit the ground with a thud. They rolled over the hat and lay on their backs exhausted.

- I give up! I didn't sign up for such a thing! I need to rest, my whole body hurts and I can't move.- complained Kai, putting his hand on his sweaty forehead.

- Same, even though I was just sitting behind you. - agreed Aaron, raising himself to a sitting position.

- If I'd known we'd be travelling in another dimension, I'd have taken more stuff with me. - groaned Kai.

- Same thing.

- How long are we going to sit here?- asked Fox after a moment, looking at the exhausted Master of Fire.

- When I get some rest. For now, we're not going anywhere.

The green knight wheezed frightened, widening his eyes.

- W- wait! This... this is me not moving! For how many hours without moving!?

- Yeah. - replied Kai nonchalantly, who did not notice the horror on Aaron's face.

- No, no, no! I can't sit still like this! It's killing me! No, I have to have something to do! - he said, breathing faster.

Then the boy went pale and looked around in horror at his surroundings. The longer Fox sat still, the faster his breathing became. Kai, seeing his behaviour, looked at him like he was an idiot, and after a moment the realisation hit him.

Kai picked himself up and walked over to his future brother-in-law. He grabbed him by the shoulders, to focus his attention on him.

- Listen to me, buddy. Don't think about it. Breathe deeply...Calm down, just focus on me and on breathing, okay?

Aaron nodded and stared into his eyes.

- Good. Now, you take an inhale.... And exhale....Inhale.... And exhale. And so on and so forth until it passes you by, okay?

Aaron closed his eyes and focused on his breathing, but after a moment he pushed Kai away from him. - How the hell am I supposed to be calm!? I'm... scared!

- Okay, Aaron... Can I tell you something?

- Go ahead.

- Me, when I have nothing to do I... sit in my room on my bed and sing to myself. No one can hear it, of course, because they'd be burned with shame, but it works. I whistle, hum and sing whatever comes into my head. Try it yourself, and it will help you. I won't judge you, whatever you do, as long as you have something to do.

Aaron smiled slightly and snorted. - (Y/N), she used to do that. When the electricity was out, during a storm, and it was daytime then... we would sit in our room, and she would sing to me.

- And you can see! It works! Do it, imagine you are with her and you sing together. - replied Kai with a smile, laying down on his back and closing his eyes.

- 'You're not going to judge me?

- No. Go ahead.

Aaron stared at him for a moment longer, before looking ahead and starting to hum one well-known song that liked to sing (Y/N).

Kai immediately picked up on the song Aaron was singing and surprisingly started to fall asleep from his voice.

Aaron was already singing his third song when he was interrupted by muttering. The boy stopped and looked around. He stood up and walked to the edge. He looked down and saw how high they were.

- Woah... not bad. - He muttered to himself, moving away from the edge.

Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a black tail hanging from another mushroom above them. A dragon. A black dragon. Aaron swallowed, but walked closer to get a closer look anyway.

Suddenly, the head of a black dragon, which had turquoise eyes and white lines on its eyelids, leaned out of the hat above him.

Aaron looked in awe at the creature, which was also looking at him with interest. Its pupils, however, had cat-like slits. The creature moved slightly and tilted its muzzle towards the knight. Its pupils widened, as it continued to look at him.

Kai slept deeply and was not aware of what was going on, just turned to the other side.

- Wow... hey, boy. How are you doing?- he asked in a whisper so as not to spooke him.

The dragon squinted and rose to a sitting position and leaned more towards him. After a while it jumped off the mushroom and looked cautiously at Aaron.

- I've never seen a dragon like you before. But you are beautiful. - He muttered admiringly to him.

The beast tilted his head with curiosity and came a little closer, but being cautious.

They stared at each other in silence, until Aaron sent the dragon a wide smile. The dragon looked at him confused, before he started to do something along the lines of a wide smile like his. He stood up on two paws to get a better look at him. When Aaron took a closer look he noticed, that he had no teeth.

- Hm...Toothless, huh? I wonder how you eat like that?

As if on cue, the dragon opened its mouth and extended its teeth, making Aaron gasp in surprise.

- Wow...cool.

Aaron sighed and decided he was going to do something very crazy and stupid at the same time. He would touch him. He slowly reached out his hand towards him, and the dragon looked at his hand skeptically. He growled slightly and squirmed.

Aaron gave him a worried look, before he sighed and closed his eyes, leaning his hand towards him. The dragon took a good look at him, before slowly putting his head against his hand. 

Aaron scowled slightly, but opened his eyes and saw the beast hugging his hand. The dragon pulled its head back from him and looked at him, himself surprised by what he had done.

Fox sent him another gentle smile, causing the creature to relax and flick its tail slightly.

The dragon snuggled into his hand again, before coming closer and rubbing against the knight, purring in the process.

- You're like a big cat, you know? - he said with amusement at his behaviour. The dragon gleefully lay down on his back, as Aaron scratched his neck.

- You want to be my friend, hm?- he asked the dragon, to which it made a happy sound and rose from the ground and licked him on the face.

- I'll take that as a yes. - he laughed.

Suddenly they both heard a groan of fatigue and looked at the awakening Kai. The boy sleepily opened his eyes and stretched. He looked behind him and saw Aaron, accompanied by a dragon, looking at him hostilely.

- AH!! Aaron, what the hell!? - he cried out in shock, getting up from the ground.

Aaron looked at the dragon, which growled menacingly at Kai, and stood in a defensive position.

- Hey, hey, hey. Calm down, you scared him!- rebuked Aaron.

- He? Who... is him?- asked Kai fearfully.

- You know... I don't have a name for him yet. But... my friend, meet Kai. Kai, my dragon friend. - He pointed at the dragon, and it growled at Kai in response.

- 'Relax, he's with me. He won't hurt you. - he assured.

- Question. Where the hell did you get that dragon from!?

- He flew over here. He was resting above us and I saw him. He came up to me and we made friends. He's mine now.

- Wait, wait, wait. You mean to tell me that you.... Tamed the dragon!!!?

- Yes. If you put it that way.

The dragon snorted and nodded, and Aaron patted him on the head.

-'Okay... I don't know how you did it and... I don't think I want to know. We should be flying on now. - suggested Kai, summoning Flame.

- 'You're right, let's go.

Aaron started to walk towards Kai's dragon, when suddenly something picked him up and he sat down on something. The dragon let him climb on him.

- Woah! Okay, that's unexpected. Surely that suits you, buddy?

The dragon snorted and threw him a dragon smile. 

- Ok. I need to come up with a good name for you.... Maybe.... Ash! No, that's the name of this retard... then maybe.... Draco?- he suggested.

- Draco? From Draco Malfoy? - asked Kai with amusement.

- Yes. In case you didn't know, I like him and I'll call you Draco... Nice to meet you, Draco. - He greeted with a wide smile, hugging the dragon.

The dragon made a happy sound and snorted spreading its wings, ready to fly. Kai shook his head with a smile and took to the air after a moment.

Draco followed and they began to fly towards the Hanging Mountains.
