Everyone stared at the computer screen in stillness for a while longer. They watched as the mountain slowly marched towards the sky. Saber was the first to wake up from trance.

- 'Hey, that mountain is above Hiroshi's Labyrinth!- gasped the lion.

- How do you know that?- asked a stunned Jay.

The lion looked at him with total seriousness. - 'Dude, I used to live there.

Jay looked at him in shock. - What!?

- That. Now, are we going there or not?- he said, turning to the others.

- We need to check it out. What is it and is it a threat to us?- said Lloyd uncertainly.

- The best solution, would be to check it out. - agreed Zane, typing something on the other computer.

- Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go to the Bounty!- said Kai, raising his fist in the air.

The League agreed and they were about to run to the flying ship, when they were stopped by the Master's voice. They stopped with a screech of tyres and looked over their shoulders at him.

- We can't all go. This is a very strange phenomenon and we don't know, what we might find on the ground. Someone has to stay here and guard the base in case it turns out to be some kind of trickery on the part of Aspheera or Peacebreaker.

- No offence Master, but I think you're a bit... um...- began Cole, glancing at the others.

- Obsessed? About Aspheera. - finished Kai uncertainly.

Wu gasped in surprise and immediately denied it.

- 'Master, whatever weird thing happens, related to power or magic, you blame Aspheera. Are you quite exaggerating?- said Lloyd, raising an eyebrow.

- Because I know, that Asphera is not to be trusted! We lost too much, when there was a clash between us. We must keep our guard up. - growled Wu in a concerned tone, resting his forehead on his staff.

Saber sighed defeatedly and looked at the others.

- Okay, we'll do it your way. Lloyd, Clay, Aaron, Cole and Kai you go with. I'm also going with you guys, because this is my home and I need to protect it. The others are staying.

Master Wu sighed in relief and smiled gratefully at the lion, who flashed him a mischievous grin.

- And one more thing. You, Master are coming with us. Nya and Zane are going to operate on the Bounty. PIXAL, you stay at the base and oversee everything here.

Wu opened his mouth to object, but the lion interrupted him. 

- End of discussion. I am your temporary leader and we will do what we will do.

Wu squirmed at the smile playing on the lion's muzzle and his satisfied look. Some of the team ran to the Bounty, which was in the process of minor repairs, mainly to the rocket engines.

Nya and Zane quickly climbed the ladder and started the computers and engines. The water ninja approached the helm and waited for the gate to open.

- PIXAL, we're ready. Open the gates. - Zane said through the communicator.

- Affirmative. The gates will open in three...two...one.

Kai and Cole ran to their newly built vehicles. Golden Dragon Rider and Dragon Cruiser. They donned their masks and started their engines.

The large metal gates at the rear and the entrance gate at the front of the base were slowly opened. The Bounty left the base in full swing, and the vehicles headed for the surface.

- Time for some good action. - said Kai, driving at high speed across the desert.

Nya looked at the lever at the helm and pulled it down, activating the afterburners. Saber went to the bow of the ship and leaned his two front paws against the railings. He caught the wind in his mane and breathed in the clean air. He stared into the horizon, as the ship slowly left the desert area.

Zane was working out the navigation to Hiroshi's Labyrinth, while the Master walked back and forth with his hands behind his back. Moments later, a red dashed line went across the Ninjago map, stopping at a dot on the jungle lands.

- The route has been developed, if we hurried we'd get there in fifteen minutes. Turn on the acceleration.

- It's already on. Bounty still needs a few tweaks. - Nya said, without taking her eyes off the rudder.

- Very well, then we'll get there in twenty minutes. Cole, Kai how do you hear me?

- Very loud and clear, Zane. - Cole replied.

- Okay, we'll get there in twenty minutes, if you accelerate to one hundred and fifty kilometres per hour.

- You say and you have, my friend. - replied Kai with a laugh, pressing on the gas.

Zane moved away from the computer and descended the ladder and went into the Bounty to the bedroom for one thing. Master Wu walked over to the monitor and combed his long beard with his hand.

- 'What are you up to, Aspheera.

Aaron and Clay joined Saber and stared at the horizon.

- 'You really lived in that Labyrinth?- asked Clay, intrigued.

- Yes, I did. I never remembered my parents that well. I don't know who my mother was... but I knew my dad, for... part of my life. - he said with a bitter sigh, turning to face them and sitting down on the ground.

- You had parents?- asked a suprised Aaron, causing him to receive a strong nudge in the side from Clay and a chastising look, for his lack of sensitivity.

- I had... like I said I only remember my father, but not very much either. I was a little kitten and he was a brave, big lion. The king of the jungle. As you know in Ninjago, me and my father were the last representatives of the white lion race. I remember what his name was... Loras. He was fierce, kind, good and brave. Me and him, we were like best buddies. - He said with a pleasant smile and a gleam in his eyes at the mention of his father.

Both knights reciprocated his smile and sat on the floor, listening to him with interest.

- Our favourite place was one called Jewel of the Labyrinth, it was a beautiful oasis. From morning to evening we ran around the jungle, playing tag and resting in the trees.... One day, unfortunately. - he looked down and a look of sadness spread across his face.

- When we reached the edge of the jungle, when we were chasing our prey, we ran into them. Poachers. They first shot our prey, and then aimed at us...Dad, trying to protect me.... He sacrificed himself. He told me to run and not to look back. Just run and hide. After that... I heard a loud bang and a roar... Then... he was gone... I was left alone....

Aaron and Clay looked at their friend sadly, and Aaron patted him on the back as he looked down.

- But then... I ran into (Y/N). She gave me a home and a family... a home and food and... friendship. And... I am grateful to her for that. That's why I want to rescue her from the hands of that Crystal King. - he finished with a sigh, looking at his friends.

Clay and Aaron smiled softly at him, and the lion reciprocated the smile.

- 'Well, then maybe I'll go inside and... go through some things. - Saber said, getting up and starting to walk.

Both knights escorted him away with their eyes, before looking at each other. Aaron grunted and picked himself up off the floor and leaned against the railings. Clay did the same and they both began to look to the horizon.

- I wonder, if she's there. - muttered Aaron.

- She probably is. After all, she is that member of this council, isn't she?- replied Clay.

The green knight nodded and sighed. Clay looked at his face and saw a grimace spread across his face.

- 'You miss her, huh?

- Mhm. I miss her a lot. Do you?

- Of course we do, we all do.

- Yes.... How do we find a way to save her?

- I have no idea, Aaron. I really don't know. Hopefully, mum will find something.

The boy nodded and rested his chin on his hands. Fox snorted and smiled slightly. - You know what?

Clay glanced at him and also smiled slightly. - What?

- Me and (Y/N) had a crazy plan. For a long time...we had the idea to leave.

Moorington looked at him confused. - What?

- To leave. Once our careers as superheroes were over, to leave it all and do something with our lives. I know, we like our jobs, but.... We wanted to do something, together.

Clay raised an eyebrow and smiled roguishly and sent his friend a satisfied look. - Are you implying something, Aaron?

Aaron's cheeks pinked slightly and he punched his friend in the arm, making him laugh.

- Yes, yes, yes. I wanted to do that. You can laugh.

Clay laughed out loud and put his arm around his friend. - 'Take it easy, man. I've known for a long time.

- What?- he asked completely suprised.

- I've known for a long time, Aaron. Okay, I didn't know, just Macy tell me. Macy saw you discreetly asking her questions about it. And Macy is Macy, she ships you guys very strongly. You want to propose to her, huh?

Aaron's jaw literally dropped and he stared at Clay in shock. Clay just had a goofy grin on his face.

- And.... And you don't mind?

- No. Aaron, how much we've known each other. From about.... Twelve years? You're one of my best friends. Not counting Macy and Jestro. I know you very well and I knew from the beginning, that you and (Y/N) would end up together. I saw the looks you sent her and the smiles. - the boy moved his eyebrows playfully.

- After it turned out, that (Y/N) was my sister, I was a bit too.... Overprotective. I was a bit worried, that you weren't right for her. But then. I realised, that she also fell for you. You love each other like crazy and would jump into fire for each other. Which you might have already experienced, right?

Clay, of course, referred to the event with Aspheera and her fiery cobras.

- You've been together for almost three years.... But I couldn't expect from you, that you... well, you want to settle down.

- A proposal is different from a wedding....

- Yes, yes, I know. I... am more than happy to... welcome you into our family.

Aaron smiled, slightly touched by his speech. Clay smiled cheesily back at him. They both gave each other a friendly hug and let go. Master Wu, Saber, Nya and Zane looked at them happily.

- 'I don't want to disturb you, but we're getting close to our destination. - Zane spoke up over the intercom.

The Bounty stopped above the jungle with a perfect view of the mountain. Cole and Kai stopped at the cliff and climbed the ladders to the ship.

- But this is huge.- commented Lloyd.

- OK, we need to check it out, let's go. - said Saber, jumping off the Bounty.

Master Wu, Aaron, Clay, Kai and Cole and Lloyd followed, while Zane and Nya stayed on the ship, waiting for the action to unfold.

They walked through an empty clearing on the other side of the canyon and didn't take their eyes off the mountain. Meanwhile, one of the scouts was watching the new arrivals from above and alerted the council and the king.

- I will gladly take care of them. - announced Peacebreaker loudly, disappearing into the blue streak.

- Me too. - added Pythor.

- Me too. - added Aspheera and Harumi.

They both grabbed Aspheera by the shoulders, and she used her staff to teleport them outside. All four faced the heroes with drawn weapons and mischievous smiles. They all drew their weapons and were ready to fight.

- Well, well, Wu. We meet again. - Aspheera said.

- Aspheera. - growled Wu, aiming a staff at her.

Peacebreaker fixed her gaze on the two knights, while Harumi looked at Lloyd.

- 'It's a pleasure to see you again, League of Heroes. - Peacebreaker greeted with a fake smile.

- 'All the pleasure's on us, Peacebreaker. - growled Clay.

- I can't wait to see you guys death. - retaliated Pythor, pulling out the Nunchucks of Lightning.

- Attack!!!-ordered Lloyd and threw himself forward.

The council and the league threw themselves at each other and began their attack. The King, observing that the ninjas had the upper hand, teleported Vangelis, the Mechanic and Mr F, to the help.

Vangelis fought with Kai.

Mechanic fought against Cole.

Mr. F fought against Saber.

Peacebreaker fought against Clay.

Harumi against Lloyd.

Aspheera against Wu.

Pythor fought against Aaron.

Ghost of (Y/N) watching all this, did a facepalm and shook his head.

-Why is there so much hate in them?- she asked herself, watching Vangelis and Kai roll around on the ground.

Saber dodged a pistol shot from Mr. F, then knocked him to the ground and pinned him down with his paws. He looked at him and growled hostilely while F looked daggers at him, trying to free himself.

Moments later, the lion grabbed the robot's neck with his fangs and jerked it sideways, trying to tear it away from him. After moments of pulling, he snatched it from him and threw it away. His gaze was caught by the ghost looking at them. His eyes widened in shock, recognising the person he was seeing.

- (Y/N)?

The ghost raised his gaze and met the emerald eyes. - Saber?

The lion smiled in wonder and walked closer to the spirit.

- (Y/N)!? - he repeated already with joy.

- 'Oh my God, you can see me!?- she asked shocked.

- Yes (Y/N), you are alive!!- he said, running up to the ghost. (Y/N) knelt down and smiled broadly.

- By what miracle? How?

- I'm a medium! I can see ghosts....! Wait does that mean that you...?

- I'm kind of dead. Yes. But don't worry, I'm alive! This is my form, of life, as it were. I'm locked in my mind, but I'm still here. I will never leave you. - she said, trying to touch him, but eventually her hand penetrated across him.

- Wait... come with us! You'll be safe! - he argued hopefully.

- I'm afraid, that's not possible. I belong to Peacebreaker.... But... if you could somehow master your ability to communicate with spirits, you could take me over. - She said with realisation, glancing at the lion.

- Like how?

- At the library in Ninjago! There are a lot of books on the Ancient Power there. Look for books on the subject and find them all.

- Ancient Power?

- Yes. But for now you have to back off. The Crystal King is growing in strength, you must be prepared. You must find a strong ally to help you. That mountain, it is slowly making its way towards Ninjago City to take control of the city. You must go, time is short.

- What about you?

- I'll stay with her and wait for you to learn your skills and release me, do you understand?

- I understand, be careful okay?

- I promise. Go now.

Saber nodded reluctantly and turned to the team, who were fiercely fighting their opponents.

- Move back!!! They are too strong! On the Bounty, now! - he roared and started running towards the Bounty.

Everyone looked behind him in surprise, before looking at their enemies and pushing them far back and starting to rush to the Bounty. Harumi growled at Lloyd and started running after him.

- 'Harumi, no! Stop!- cried Peacebreaker, in a commanding tone. - Oh brother. - she muttered to herself and began to fly after her.

Lloyd was already about to jump onto the ladder, when Harumi grabbed him by the legs and held on to them for dear life. The blonde tried to get away from her, but her grip was too tight.

- You think, you're going to escape me Lloyd! You're wrong!- she shouted at him with a mad grin.

- Let me go! - said Lloyd, crooked at the pressure on his leg.

Peacebreaker flew up to them and punched Harumi in the back of the head with her fist, stunning her. She grabbed her around the waist and looked at the green ninja.

- You guys got lucky today. But next time, you won't escape us. - she hissed, disappearing in a blue streak.

Lloyd was breathing heavily from stress and climbed into the ship and lay down on the floor. The Bounty began to depart, and Cole and Kai began to drive away in their vehicles
