Nya's farewell ceremony is already coming to an end. The whole city, maybe even the whole Ninjago came to say goodbye to her.

Nya's sacrifice and her transformation into Nyad has affected us all. But most in me, Jay and Kai.

She was like an older, sibling sister to me. When I was a little girl I saw her as a role model, a brave, resourceful, beautiful girl.

When this power issue happened, me and Saber arrived without hesitation. Later, me, PIXAL, Zane, Lloyd, Jay and Nya used a submarine to swim to the bottom of the sea.

Then that damn Kalmar happened, which awoke that damn sea serpent, Wojira, and flooded all of Ninjago.

It was to no avail, and Wojira soon ate his "ruler", when he had no control over it.

That sounded very familiar to me, didn't it? The same thing happened to Pythor, only with a small exception, because he survived.

And to think that these events took place two days ago.

= Jump into the past=

The boys, Saber, PIXAL, Master Wu and I fiercely battle the Merlopian army on the roof of the skyscraper that serves as our land.

Ninjago City was completely flooded to the brim with water. When we drove all the Merlopians away, this nasty snake came out of the water.

Kalmar was laughing like crazy.

- Well, surface dwellers! Prepare for your doom!

The snake was about to open its maw when Nya appeared behind Kalmar, who... was water?

- Did I miss something?- I asked myself.

Kalimari and Nya started fighting fiercely on Wojira's head and we were left to watch helplessly.

Nya was battering that nasty thing, without any hesitation, inflicting damage on him and he couldn't even make a crack at her.

The girl knocked the monster on its back and was about to give it a hard blow, but suddenly Jay shouted.

- Nya!

- Jay?

The distracted Nya was hit by Kalmar with his trident, electrocuting her. After a moment Nya disappeared, he destroyed her!

- NO!!! - we cried out.

Kalmar smiled sinisterly and turned to us. He struck the amulet with his weapon.

- Destroy the ninja!!!

The snake roared, shaking its head vigorously. Jay yelled fiercely and with Master Wu's staff, moved to attack.

- JAY, STOP!- I shouted.

The boy disobeyed and moved at Kalmar, who successfully tackled him and knocked him off the snake. Saber jumped and the boy fell on his back.

- Thanks, buddy.

- No problem.

Suddenly Benthomar arrived and started fighting his brother, shouting at each other for the murder of their father.

Kalmar seemingly prevailed and knocked his brother off the snake. Benthomar falling pulled out a spear and threw it towards Kalmar's trident, destroying it.

The snake regained self-awareness and tried to knock Kalimari off his head. 

- What have you done! Destroy them, destroy them!!!-he tried to order.

The snake only shook its head up strongly and tossed the Kalmar up in the air. After a while the snake, with one snap, ate him.

- Oh, Lord.- I whispered in shock.

Wojira quickly turned its gaze on us and opened its maw, from which a beam of lightning shot out. We started to run away when a ball of water hit the side of the snake's mouth.

We all looked in that direction and a water dragon appeared to our eyes.

- Is that... Nya?- asked a shocked Lloyd.

The dragon roared loudly in response and moved towards the enemy.

- Em, it sounds like her.- recounted the astonished Kai.

- Wow...amazing.- said Saber.

- Yes and she looks pissed off.- said Cole fearfully.

Nya quickly threw herself at Wojire and started fighting. I smiled excitedly, feeling proud.

- Woooohooooo! That's it! Get that disgusting snake, girl!

- Give him a solid beating!- Lloyd backed me up.

Suddenly Wojira slammed into the dragon at full speed, knocking it into the wall of the building we were on, throwing us off balance.

Nya quickly answered him with the same. Wojira plunged into the water, distracting us. The snake emerged from the water and summoned lightning, glaring at Nya several times in effect, making her disappear.

- Nya!!!- shouted Jay.

Wojira opened her maw to kill us, but suddenly we heard a dragon roar from the sky. We looked up and a dragon was born anew from the raindrops.

The snake growled and roared furiously. Nya moved quickly towards the snake, transforming into her Nyad form and struck the wave amulet centrally, destroying it. It unleashed a wave of energy that knocked us to the ground.

Wojira was destroyed by the lightning. It was quiet for a moment when Nya jumped onto the roof. We started cheering, running up to her.

- Nya, you did it!- shouted an overjoyed Jay.

He wanted to hug his beloved, but he penetrated her. We all gasped.

- Relax, we will find a way to change you back. Don't worry.- said Kai.

- Back?- asked a confused Nya.

- Back to normal. You know, to your old you.

- Normal?

- What's wrong? Are you okay?" asked Jay.

The storm clouds slowly parted showing a beautiful sun. Nya looked over Jay's shoulder into the horizon.

- Do you hear it?

- What?

- The sea. It is so loud, so powerful.

- It is calling her. - Benthomar announced.

Nya's form stirred slightly.

- Nya!- I gasped.

- Sorry. It's hard to keep that shape.

- What do you mean, shape? It's not what you are.- said Jay.

- But I was, yes. I have to go now, I will remember you.- said Nya walking past us.

We all looked at her sadly.

- Remember. What are you talking about, you are not going anywhere? - asked Kai quietly.

- Nya, wait, stop! Something is wrong with you, you need to focus, you need to change.- said Jay, trying to stop her.

The girl just walked past him. Jay gasped and wanted to grab her hand but couldn't.

- No, don't leave me!-he begged.

Tears began to form in my eyes at his condition. Saber looked at me and pushed my side lightly with his head.

Nya stopped and turned to him. For a moment she grabbed his hand and stroked his cheek before she turned and stood on the edge. Master Wu stepped forward.

- Nya I assure you. Whatever you hear, whatever you experience. Fight it Nya! Remember who you are, remember.

Nya has turned to us. - I am Nya. I am the sea, we are one.

- Nya! I... we love you.- I turned to her, standing next to Jay.

Nya smiled slightly. - Tell my mother that I understand now. That's the way the cookie crumbles. 

With that she turned and jumped off the building, into the water.

- No, no, no. Come back, Nya!- shouted Jay.

We all ran to the edge and looked at our sister walking away.

Nya emerged from the water and left the water.

- You are my friends, always.- she announced and swam away.

And with that... everything changed.

=Back to the present=

All the people dispersed and we sat at the table in silence. No one could say anything, just meditating on what had happened. We knew that Nya hadn't died, but it really felt like she was no longer in this world.

The deafening, depressing silence was almost unbearable. I looked around at everyone gathered and sighed heavily. I leaned my head against Aaron's shoulder, who rested his head against mine.

- You know... I know... this is all going to be... hard right now, but... I want you guys to know something.

They all looked at me with eyes that were tired from crying.

- I want you to never give up hope. We all know that Nya... she's still alive and free.†I began, looking cautiously at Jay.

Saber giggled lightly and quietly.

- Yes. I can bet he's floating in full ecstasy on the sea and laughing.

A gentle, bittersweet smile appeared on everyone's faces.

- Yes, there has always been a secretive, crazy little nut in her.- Kai admitted.

We all sighed heavily, the sadness affecting our faces again.

Jay lurched.

- 'Why is it that every time something happens, we lose one member of the team?- he said reproachfully.

He was right. Every time something happened, our team suffers.

- And this is where the statement comes in. Life's a bitch. You live and you die.- Cole chewed.

- Cole! Language.- rebuked Zane.

- Don't punish him! He's right.- growled Kai.

- Oh no.- I said quietly to myself.

- Yes, life sucks.- admitted Lloyd.

- What is wrong with you guys?!- I shouted.

- NOTHING! We're just suffering after losing our sister and beloved you know!- shouted Jay.

- Doesn't that bother you?!- chuckled Cole.

I furrowed my brow. - I'm suffering, but I'm not acting like a child here!- I hiss.

- Ha! Who says it, you and Lloyd are kids!- chuckled Kai.

- That is not true! We are adults just like you! We are your leaders!- shouted Lloyd at him.

- Dears I beg you, not to argue.- begged Nya and Kai's mother.

- Sorry, Mrs Smith, but I can't stand them! You guys always have to fight!- I shouted at Cole, Kai, Jay and Lloyd.

- ALWAYS!?- shouted Cole.

- It's you, you come to our house once a hell month and tell us what to do!- shouted Kai at me.

- WHAT?! What are you talking about!?- I asked in disbelief.

- Don't pretend! It's always like that when...!

I slammed my fist on the table and stood up violently from my seat, staring at Cole and Kai.

- THAT'S NO TRUE I'm just... that's who I am! You have no idea the stress I'm under there!

- Yeah. I wonder what kind.- said Lloyd sarcastically.

Aaron growled at Lloyd and also got up from his chair.

- Listen, idiots. (Y/N) is right! You are not the ones who receive sick people from all over the kingdom from morning to night. It's not you who have to fill out tons of paperwork imposed from the king and it's not you who have to...- Aaron started.

- You don't have to watch out for your powers.- finished Saber.

We all looked daggers at each other while Zane, my parents, Master Wu, Misako and PIXAL looked worried.

I lowered my voice and looked at the boys.

- If you guys think I'm that lustful then... I'll get out of your way. If you don't want to be... it's over.

I looked at the others with sadness.

- Goodbye. We're going home.

With that me, Aaron and Saber left the dining room and after a while we left Ninjago.
