Chapter One: Fire & Water

  An old woman with short bowl cut gray hair walks to the New Ninjago City museum hand in hand with her husband. A young male walks behind them with his wife and their two children. The man walks up to the old couple. "Mom! Dad! How do you even know he's coming?" He asks his elderly parents. The woman rolls her eyes. "Of course he's coming Kyle!" She says, counting angry. "He hasn't shown up the last ten times mom! I think it's time to give up!" He pleads. She looks angry and seems bout ready to kill her own son. "Now, now Nya! Calm down sweetheart. I suggest you get your boys some ice cream son." His father says, trying to calm his wife down.  

  The younger male walks off grumbling. The son's wife comes over with her twin sons. "Nya, Ronin, do either of you know where we're even meeting him?" She asks her in-laws. "At the museum." Ronin answers and she nods. "Thank you." Is her reply. They nod. "Sorry Rebecca, we should have told you sooner." Nya apologizes.  

  The twins race by the adults and into the museum. "REX! ROY! COME BACK HERE THIS INSTANCE!" Their mother calls as she chases after them. Kyle returns with ice cream for everyone. He gives Nya strawberry, Ronin blueberry, himself vanilla, and got three chocolates for his wife and children. The family enters the museum with smiles on their faces.

  Off in another part of the city another elderly couple is driving in their car. The driver gets caught at a red light. "Darn! This happens every time! We sleep in, get caught by every light, and show up so late she's gone already!" He fumes. "Calm down Kai, we'll make it this time! I feel it!" His husband says from the passenger seat. "How much longer?" A female voice whines from the back. "Calm down Lilith. We're almost there." The male in the passenger seat says to his granddaughter. "But we're so board!" A male voice groans. "Hold your horses Lucifer!" Kai yells to his grandson. "Dad, do you even know where you're going?" Asks the children's father from the back. "Yes I do! Me and your mother use to live here! Heck! He even technically grew up here!" Kai argues, chuckling at the end. His husband grumbles in his seat about magical tea. "Oh come on Lloyd! You have to admit! We would have never gotten together if it wasn't for that considering you would still be way to young for me!" Kai says laughing. 

  The family pulls up at the museum. "She doesn't even know I exist, much less my kids! She doesn't even know you two are an item! Aren't you worried she might have a bad reaction?" Their son asks. "She is my sister Nathaniel! You haven't even met her! Now calm down! She is extremely caring and understanding!" Kai scolds his son.  

  Once they finally enter the museum they head for the room dedicated to the ninja. Lucifer walks over to a statue of Kai in his gi. "Is that you grandpa?" He asks. Kai smiles. "Why yes it is. I was your fathers age when he met your mother actually." Kai explains. "So you guys met at the same age I met Flair?" Nathaniel asks his parents. "Yes actually. We.... I was, your mother was ten." Kai answers then chuckles. Lloyd blushes. "Woh! What?! I thought you two were the same age?!" Nathaniel shouts. Kai & Lloyd chuckle. "Biologically? Yes. Matter of years we've lived? I am seven years older. I was seventeen when I met your mother who was ten." Kai explains.  

  Nathaniel looks confused as all get out. "Then.... How....?" He stammers. "STUPID GRUNDEL! STUPID MEGGA WEAPON! STUPID MAGIC TEA!" Lloyd shouts and walks off in a huff, leavening Kai literally rolling on the floor laughing his but off.

  Nya walks by the room and hears her brothers laughter. "Kai?" She asks as she sees him. He sobers up and jumps off the ground then runs to her. "NYA!" He shouts and hugs her. She laughs. "Come on Kai! I need to breath you know!" She says and he lets go. Ronin walks in behind her. "Kai." He says. Kai looks to him with a questioning gaze. "Why are you here?" Kai asks coldly with a smirk. Ronin chuckles and shakes his head. "How ya been hot head?" Ronin asks. The two men laugh a bit. "But no, seriously. Why are you here man?" Kai asks him. "That's the thing, I kind of married him." Nya explains. Kai's eyes go wide. "The last time I checked you were with Jay! What did I miss?!" Kai asks utterly surprised.  

  Nya giggles. "Things happen I guess. Me and Jay agreed that the feelings were gone and that we both had already fallen for someone else." Nya explains. "I ended up telling Ronin how I felt two weeks later and we started going out. Jay never told me who he fell for, just said he didn't think it would happen and took off." Nya explains further.  

  Kai nods in understanding. "Well, you missed out my life two so it's fair." He says. "What? You married Skylor? I kinda figured." Nya says. Kai gasps in a fake dramatic way. "Why I never! I have not seen Skylor in years may I mind you!" He says. Lloyd comes up beside him. "You finally going to tell her?" The green ninja asks with a raised brow. "Tell me what?" Nya asks. The rest of her family having joined long ago are sitting on benches around the room, watching the exchange.  

  Kai puts an arm around Lloyd's waist and kisses him. Nya, Ronin, and their family all gasp. "I MARRIED LLOYD!" Kai announces proudly. Nathaniel rolls his eyes. "And I am their BIOLOGICAL son, Nathaniel. So I guess your my aunt." He says, stepping forward and shaking her hand. Nya stands there in shock.  

  "I-I-You..... Wh.... H-Hi-Him.... WHAT?!" Nya shouts. "Number one, I thought you were strait! Number two, since when can guys get pregnant?! And number three, why am I just now finding this out?!" She yells to Kai. He chuckles and sighs. "I am actually bisexual, don't ask me, and I didn't think this was information to be shared over the phone!" Kai answers her, chuckling all the while.  

  Ronin chuckles himself. "Could tell Lloyd was gay for you from the way he acted, but I didn't expect you to return the feelings!" Ronin says and Kai chuckles to. "Heh. Yeah, I honestly can't tell you when I fell for him!" Kai explains. "I didn't even realize my feelings till he kissed me!" The red ninja explains further.  

  After an hour, the two families have all caught up. Nathaniel & Kyle are happy to have met their cousins, and their kids happy to befriend some family members their age.  

  A siren goes off, causing Kai, Lloyd, and Nya to all go into their fighting stances. The next thing they know, a creature walks in. The beast has dark grey scales, long black claws, six legs, a long spine covered tail, four arms, sharp teeth, and ten blood red eyes. Kai runs forward first, but his fire powers don't work. "What's going on?!" He shouts, only able to make a small flame on the tip of his fingers.  

  Lloyd holds Nya back. "We're to old!" The green ninja shouts. Kai huffs, not liking this one bit! "Are you kidding me?!" He shouts back. "What are we suppose to do?!" Nya asks in fight. Lloyd spinjutsues into his gi. "We save the people!" He shouts in answer and leads Nathaniel out with his kids. Ronin takes his and Nya's family out. Kai nods to his sister who returns the favor. They run off, getting as many people out as they can.  

  Soon enough, they are trapped by the beast when Lilith runs in front of them. "LILITH! NO!" Kai shouts in worry & fear. The little girl holds out her arms and a giant golden bast similar to Lloyd's is released from her hands, blasting the beast into defeat. Kai & Nya blink in shock then look at each other wide eyed.
