There's a skull in the sky Part two
" AHHHHHHHHHHHHH THE WORLD'S GONNA EEEEEND!" Emma screamed as she ran around her living room, waving her hands.
Annie was shaking Morro vigorously. " Are you sure you don't know when they'll come?" She pressed.
" Yes I'm sure!" Morro replied.
Mia, meanwhile, was talking to Jay on the phone to update him.
Jay’s panicked voice crackled through the phone. “WHAT DO YOU MEAN ‘GIANT SKULL’?!”
Mia sighed, pacing around the room while Emma continued screaming and Annie kept shaking Morro. “Exactly what I said, Jay! Giant skull in the sky, creepy ghost warning, not a cloud! And Morro apparently forgot to tell us about it!”
“I knew that guy was trouble!” Jay groaned. “Mia, listen to me. Tell Emma to stop running in circles—”
“Too late,” Mia muttered, watching Emma trip over a couch cushion and roll onto the floor.
“—and get back here with Annie now! We need a plan.”
“Yeah, yeah, I’m trying!” Mia snapped. “But I can’t exactly drag Emma out while she’s having a meltdown!”
Jay sighed on the other end. “Okay, put me on speaker.”
Mia did as he asked. “Alright, you’re on.”
“EMMA!” Jay shouted.
Emma immediately stopped flailing and blinked at the phone. “Huh?”
“GET! A! HOLD! OF! YOURSELF!”
Emma took a deep breath, nodding. “Okay, okay, I’m calm now.”
“Good,” Jay huffed. “Now Morro, since you’re the cause of this whole mess, you better start talking. Any other surprises we should know about?”
Morro crossed his arms. “Uh, well… depends.”
Annie shook him again. “DEPENDS ON WHAT?!”
Morro groaned. “Okay, okay! The spirit probably won’t attack immediately, but if the skull is here, that means they’re close.”
Mia sighed. “So, what you’re saying is… we have no idea when they’ll show up, but it’s definitely soon.”
Morro gave a thumbs-up. “Bingo.”
Jay groaned. “I hate ghost stuff!”
Mia nodded. “Same.”
Emma raised her hand. “Can I go back to screaming now?”
Jay yelled through the phone, “NO!”
At the monastery, the ninja were gathered around a large map sprawled across the table. Jay was pacing, arms flailing as he ranted. "Okay, okay—giant skull in the sky, mysterious spirit threat, and oh yeah, Morro conveniently forgot to mention this! Why am I not surprised?"
Kai crossed his arms. "Less complaining, more planning."
Nya pointed to the map. "If the skull is a warning, then we need to figure out where they'll attack first. Lloyd, any luck sensing anything?"
Lloyd had his eyes closed, concentrating, but he shook his head. "No… not yet. But I can feel something off. It’s like the air is heavier."
Cole rubbed his chin. "Yeah, I’ve got that feeling too. Like the time ghosts took over the city."
Jay groaned. "Ugh, don’t remind me."
Meanwhile, back at Emma’s house, Emma was still latched onto Morro, gripping his arm like a vice. "Okay, okay, okay—just tell me this: can you fight them? Or are we totally doomed?"
Morro sighed, rubbing his forehead. "Look, I can fight them, but they’re spirits. I don’t know which ones we’re dealing with yet."
Annie, standing by the window, suddenly gasped. "Uh… guys? We might not have to wait to find out."
Everyone turned.
Outside, the sky had darkened even more, and an eerie green mist slithered through the streets.
Mia pulled out her phone, speed-dialing Jay. "Uh, Jay? We might need that plan sooner than expected!"
Part three coming soon!
What will the ninja do?
Stay tuned to find out!
