The fires
Okay guys so update.......
( If y'all don't wanna see how bad things are here just scroll down until you see Nya)
Okay okay
So....
* Takes a deep breath*
A few days ago there was a big fire near my school and it grew and grew and grew and they put it out like an hour later
So the conditions here are bad
How about you guys? How's the weather there?
" WE NEED FIRS SUPPORT HERE!" Lloyd yelled to one of the water elementals
Mia, who was currently using her wind powers, turned and quickly shot a burst of water.
" THERE!" Mia shouted back.
Emma, who was pouring bucket after bucket, glanced at Zane. " We need ice!"
Annie was trying to turn the fire hydrant on. " IT'S NOT WORKING!"
" TRY TURNING IT THE OTHER WAY!" Cole cried back, using his earth powers to contain the fire.
Jay looked around the perimeter. " WHERE ARE THE FIRE FIGHTERS?!"
" HOW SHOULD I KNOW?!" Kai yelled back.
Nya shot water on the roof of the warehouse. " This is bad...."
"Yeah, no kidding," Lloyd groaned, wiping his sweaty forehead as he used his elemental powers to redirect a nearby stream of water toward the fire. "But hey, at least we've got some backup, right?"
"WE'RE BACKING YOU UP," Mia shouted, gritting her teeth as a massive gust of wind blew past her, directing the fire away from some nearby buildings. "But we're gonna need more help than this!"
"Can we PLEASE focus on putting out the fire instead of yelling at each other?!" Emma yelled, clutching yet another bucket and tossing it with as much strength as she could muster.
Zane, ever the cool-headed one, glanced around and nodded to Emma. "I'm working on it. Just give me a second."
Meanwhile, Annie was still struggling with the fire hydrant. "It's not turning! Why does everything hate me today?"
"Because you're trying to work it like a normal person!" Kai shouted, running over to her and flipping the handle with a twist of his hand. The hydrant instantly spurted water everywhere.
Annie stepped back, blinking in surprise. "Huh. Well, I guess that's why you're Kai."
"You're welcome!" Kai smirked, watching as water from the hydrant mixed with the fire-fighting efforts.
"Thanks for the help, genius," Mia said sarcastically, still struggling with the wind and fire. "But we still need more!"
"More?!" Cole groaned as he stomped his foot, creating a wall of earth to block the spreading flames. "I think we're doing fine considering the circumstances. We can't just... keep fighting fire with fire!"
"Uh, pretty sure that's what we are doing," Jay said, grinning, even though his face was covered in sweat and soot.
"We need a plan!" Nya suddenly shouted, her voice cracking with frustration. "We need to work together better, or this place is going to go up in flames in no time!" She shot another jet of water at the warehouse roof.
"Okay, Nya," Lloyd said, trying to stay calm. "What's your idea?"
Nya took a deep breath, squinting at the flames as they were slowly but surely getting contained. "We need to split the fire. One team focuses on the warehouses, the other team tackles the main perimeter. We can't let the fire spread further!"
"Who do we send where?" Mia asked, twirling in place, the wind swirling to keep the fire from jumping to a nearby tree.
"We'll have to make it fast!" Nya said, shaking her head. "Mia and Emma—get the roof. Cole, Kai, and Zane—handle the edges. Lloyd, Jay, and I—keep the water flowing and make sure no one's in danger."
Annie blinked. "Wait, you want me to stay here and watch?"
"Yup," Nya said, giving her a thumbs-up. "You're in charge of the fire hydrant."
"Great." Annie rolled her eyes. "Just like I wanted to be a firefighter."
But as the plan unfolded and everyone quickly got to work, the teamwork started paying off. The flames began to dwindle as the group fought tooth and nail, working with everything they had.
It wasn't perfect. But it was definitely a start.
"THIS IS BAD! THIS IS REALLY BAD!" Kai yelled, his usual confidence nowhere to be found as he frantically waved his hands, trying to keep flames from spreading to another building.
"Are you sure you're using enough water?!" Lloyd demanded, his voice rising above the crackling of the flames.
"I'm using all the water I can!" Mia snapped back, sweat dripping down her face as she summoned more wind to push back the inferno. "But this fire is way out of control!"
"THIS IS NOT GOOD! NOT GOOD!" Annie shrieked, her hands on her head as she watched the fire spread even faster. "I can't handle this! It's just... just... TOO MUCH!"
"Okay, everyone, calm down!" Nya barked, her tone fierce. "We need to think, not panic!"
Emma looked around desperately. "This is hopeless! Where are the fire fighters?!"
"I do not know, but we must do something." Zane called out, pushing more ice toward the center of the flames. "It may not be enough, but it certainly is helping!"
Cole slammed his fist into the ground, creating a giant rock wall to protect a nearby store. "Maybe we need to contain it, at least. Keep it from getting worse until someone gets here!"
"We've been trying that for an hour!" Kai shouted, his face flushed with frustration. "But we're barely making a dent!"
Mia's eyes narrowed. "Wait a second... the wind's picking up. It's spreading even faster because of it! If we can reverse the airflow—"
"Wait!" Nya interrupted. "That might work. If we can stop the wind from feeding the flames, we can weaken the fire's power."
"Right!" Mia said, grinning. "I can help with that! I'll turn the wind around and push it back!"
"You've got this!" Lloyd called, nodding as he used his powers to redirect another stream of water toward the center.
But just as they were about to put the plan into motion, a loud crash echoed from behind them. Everyone froze, turning toward the source of the noise.
And then, to their collective shock, a group of fire trucks screeched into view, engines blaring and sirens wailing.
"I knew they'd be here!" Cole shouted in disbelief. "Finally!"
But then, the fire trucks came to a screeching halt. The drivers stepped out and stared at the group, clearly confused.
"Uhhh, you guys... doing the job for us?" one of them asked, blinking as he noticed the team of elemental warriors.
"That's one way to put it!" Jay said, raising an eyebrow. "But do you need help or...?"
The fire fighters exchanged nervous glances. "Uh... I think we're gonna need your help."
After thirty minutes of frantic teamwork and a whole lot of water, ice, and earth-shaping, the fire was finally out. Smoke still curled up into the air, but the danger had passed.
Mia wiped sweat from her forehead and gave a relieved sigh. "Thank goodness."
"That was intense," Nya said, catching her breath. "I thought we were done for there for a second."
"Me too," Emma added, shaking her head. "That was way too close."
"You guys are amazing," Cole said, giving them all a thumbs-up. "We couldn't have done it without you."
"Yeah, really," Kai added, a rare serious look on his face. "You guys are all fire-fighting heroes now."
Suddenly, Mia felt a familiar weight land on her shoulder, and she froze for a moment. Then, with a relieved chuckle, she reached up and scratched Blackie's ears.
The sassy black cat purred loudly, clearly pleased with himself. "About time you noticed me," Blackie said in his usual snarky tone. "I've been patiently watching from the tree. You're welcome for my moral support."
Mia laughed, scratching him more. "Thanks, Blackie. You really saved the day."
"Well, I don't know about all that," Blackie muttered, stretching out lazily. "But, you know... I'm always here for the important moments."
Annie grinned. "Maybe you should add a cape to your outfit, Blackie. You'd make a great hero."
He flicked his tail and scoffed. "Only if it's designer."
Lloyd chuckled. "I think Blackie needs his own action movie after all that."
"Definitely," Mia agreed, grinning at her cat. "The fire-fighting feline."
"Right. Blackie the Brave," Nya teased. "Maybe with a special edition action figure. Limited run. No one can resist a cat with attitude."
Blackie blinked slowly, looking perfectly pleased with the idea. "Well, if there's money involved, I'll consider it."
Mia laughed. " Oh, Bee. You're too funny."
" Well, girls, we did it." Mia said cheerfully as she braided Emma's black hair. " We finally put the fire out."
Emma nodded, making a fish braid in Annie's hair. " Yeah. It took us a while, but we managed."
Blackie, who was brushing his owner's hair, yawned. " Today was heeeeectic."
Mia grinned, finishing Emma's braid and giving her a satisfied look. "You know, Blackie, you were pretty quiet for most of the chaos. What's up with that?"
Blackie flicked his tail and shot her a sideways glance. "Well, it's not like I could do anything. Not exactly built for heavy lifting or dousing fires."
Annie laughed, her own braid now finished. "But you were giving us moral support, right?"
"Obviously," Blackie replied, stretching out lazily on the couch, totally unbothered. "I'm basically the brains of this operation."
Emma chuckled, adjusting her earrings. "You know, I think we all did our part. Including Blackie, with his... intense moral guidance."
"Intense moral guidance?" Mia raised an eyebrow, glancing at Blackie. "Is that what you call your nap time on the tree?"
Blackie tilted his head, clearly proud of his own version of heroism. "It's called strategic rest, thank you very much."
"Strategic rest," Emma repeated, trying not to laugh. "Of course."
Annie grinned and turned to Mia. "So, what now? We done saving the world for today?"
Mia shrugged. "I think we earned a break. How about a pizza night? We could do that while we figure out what Blackie's doing next." She flashed a teasing smile at her cat.
Blackie immediately perked up. "Did someone say pizza? Now we're talking!"
Emma grinned. "Pizza it is, then. But no pineapple on mine, please," she added with a mock glare at Blackie.
"Fine, fine," Blackie said dramatically, rolling onto his back. "But you're missing out on one of life's finest pleasures."
Before they could stand up, though, Mia's phone rang with the fire alarm.
Emma's eyes widened. " Another fire??"
Mia sighed, looking at their clothes. " Oh well. No time to change."
She grabbed her pink poncho and tossed Emma and Annie theirs, then grabbed Blackie and ran out to bump into the ninja.
Jay took one look at them and raised a brow. " You're not going out like that."
Mia rolled her eyes. " Oh, please. Come on, girls. Let's go."
( That's Me, Emma and Annie's ponchos. And Yes I know they don't look amazing.....)
