Stranded

Narrator- Mia, Emma and Annie woke up one day on a strange island with no map or anything. No one was there. The only things they had were walkie talkies, a radio, shovels, toolbox, a tent, hairbrush, toothbrush, soap, toothpaste, art stuff, and the black sassy one. When they woke up, they knew it was a joke and were handling it perfectly well.....

Mia: Screams in background. " WHATTTTTT ARE WE DOING HERE?!"

Annie: " WHEN I FIND YOUR BROTHERS THEY ARE DONE FOR!"

Voiceover: Maybe not....

Emma grabbed a coconut shell she had found and held it high, glancing at her friends who were trying to figure out what to do. " Want me to make breakfast?"

" No." Mia and Annie chorused.

" Why?" Emma asked, pouting slightly.

" Because last time you set the kitchen on fire making cereal." Mia said.

Blackie, who was looking through a catalogue, said, " Oh! I just found a deal for a family sized 50 pack toilet paper. 90 % off."

Mia blinked at her cat. " What are we gonna do wit-"

" Oh, cat food's on sale. Buy one get ten free. OH! This says a low calory food!"

Annie looked up in interest. " What is it?"

" Air."

Mia and Annie fell onto the ground Anime style.

" Why would we ha-"

"Oh! How about this one? You should get Kelly's Corn Flakies!"

Annie blinked. " Mia, your cat is high."

Mia sighed. " He always is."

Annie groaned. " Okay, can we try to... Oh, I don't know... Map the area out? Since we don't know for how long your brothers left us here for."

Mia nodded, and started walking, but stopped five steps in.

" What happened?" Annie asked as Emma whisked some coconut milk and mango juice together.

Mia slowly turned. " I don't think my brothers did this."

" Then who did? Our husbands?* Annie asked as she looked at her locket to see a picture of her and Unagami.

" No."

" Then who?* Emma asked impatiently.

" Master Wu."

Time stopped. Emma's hand froze, her eyes wide and mouth agape. Annie was no better

" I... I'm sorry what?" Annie whispered when she finally recovered.

" Wu. I think this is a test of our teamwork."

Annie groaned. " Of course. Drag a ninja and her two best friends who aren't even ninja, may I add, to a random island with no map and no way of knowing what else is out there!"

Mia held her hand up, and a map flew into it.

Annie's eyes widened. " Great idea! Use your wind to-"

But then she saw her face. " What happened?*

Mia have the map to Annie. " This is pretty outdated. Like-"

" This map was made 362 years before we were born!* Annie screeched.

Emma blinked . " Oh. So.... Mia, why don't you go and map the area? Annie can try and make a shelter, and I can do food."

Annie and Mia looked at Emma in awe. " Who are you?* Annie asked.

" Emma. Who else?"

Mia was too happy to even say anything. " Emma, you're a genius!"

" I am?"

" You should be the one to make the plans on deserted Islands!" Annie complimented.

Mia nodded. " Makes sense. She's the most calmest of us all."

The cat strolled to Mia and hopped onto her shoulders. " Move, human." He instructed. " We have food to eat."

Mia glanced up at her cat. " Uh huh."

Mia walked back to the sandy area just as Emma served a large leaf of.... Something to Annie. " Here. Taste ."

Annie raised a brow. " What's with the leaf?"

" We have to adapt."

Annie took a hesitated bite of the food. Her eyes widened.

" It's amazing!" She exclaimed and started to slurp it all down .

Emma laughed. " Easy, Ann! You're gonna get the hiccups or something at the rate you're eating at!"

Then she saw Mia and waved. " Hello, explorer!"

Mia raised a brow. " Is that my nickname?*

Emma nodded. " Hey, Annie said yes to something but I need to ask you too."

" Sure. What is is?"

" Is it okay on this island if I can adopt you two?*

Mia blinked. " Come now?"

" I mean, is it okay if on this island I can fuss over you? It just means like preparing food and being the responsible one...."

Mia exchanged a look with Annie. " Sure."

" Fine by me." Annie added.

Emma pumped her fist into the sky. " Great! Here, Mia. Some Coconut milk and mango juice soup."

" Taste it. It's good.' Annie added as she took another serving.

Mia took the leaf bowl and eyed the coconut milk and mango juice concoction with a bit of hesitation before taking a sip. Her eyes widened. “Emma, this is actually… really good!”

Emma beamed. “See? Who says I can’t make food without burning something?”

Blackie, perched on Mia's shoulder, rolled his eyes. “Oh, please. You humans are all too easily impressed by food that doesn’t spontaneously combust.”

Mia gave her cat a playful nudge. “At least we’re trying to survive here! And not just browsing imaginary catalogs for cat food deals.”

Annie chuckled, setting down her empty leaf bowl. “So, with Emma keeping us well-fed, I’ll focus on making a real shelter. The tent is fine, but I’d feel better with a solid roof over our heads.”

Mia nodded. “And I’ll map the island out to see if there’s anything useful. Maybe we can find fresh water or fruit trees.”

Emma looked at her friends, an unexpected calmness in her eyes. “You know, for a random island challenge courtesy of Master Wu, this might not be so bad. I kind of like this whole team adventure vibe.”

Mia and Annie shared a glance, a small smile on both their faces.

Blackie cleared his throat, or as close to a cat’s version of a throat-clearing as possible. “Well, as long as I’m fed and given proper shelter, I’ll tolerate this wilderness adventure. But please, Mia, try to bring back something more luxurious than coconuts.”

Emma rolled her eyes. “Blackie, if you’re expecting filet mignon on a deserted island, I think you’re gonna be disappointed.”

With that, the three girls and their sassy cat set off on their individual tasks. Mia ventured further down the shore, taking note of unusual landmarks, while Annie started gathering large leaves, driftwood, and vines to build their shelter. Emma went back to her makeshift kitchen setup, experimenting with coconuts, berries, and other island findings to make the best meals possible.

As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting a warm glow over the island, Mia returned with some exciting news.

“Guys, I found a freshwater spring!” she announced, beaming.

Annie and Emma cheered, high-fiving each other.

Emma put her hands on her hips. “With water, food, and shelter, we’re practically professionals at this now. Who needs a luxury vacation when you’ve got survival skills?”

Mia laughed. “Yeah, and we’ll have plenty of stories to tell my brothers when we get back.”

Annie smirked, stretching her arms out. “And when I see them, they’re gonna get an earful for ditching us out here. But you know… I kind of like this island life.”

Blackie snorted from his spot on Mia’s shoulder. “As long as there’s tuna waiting back home, you can count me in for this storytime.”

Mia accepted the coconut meat ( it's a thing) and mango juice soup with a mix of curiosity and skepticism. “I’ll take your word for it,” she said, eyeing the concoction before taking a cautious sip.

“Delicious, right?” Emma beamed, her excitement infectious. “Who knew we’d be gourmet chefs on a deserted island?”

Mia nodded, a smile breaking across her face as she savored the flavors. “Okay, okay, you’ve got skills. But I still say we need to figure out how to get off this island. We can’t just live here forever.”

Annie, still slurping her leaf dish with enthusiasm, chimed in, “I mean, it’s not the worst place to be stuck. At least we have coconut meat and a sassy cat to keep us company.”

“Speaking of which,” Blackie piped up, stretching lazily on Mia’s shoulder, “what’s the plan for lunch? I’m feeling a little snackish.”

Emma laughed, “We’ll figure it out. But first, Mia, I think you should explore further. Let’s see what else this island has to offer!”

Mia grinned at the thought of an adventure. “Alright, but I’ll need some supplies. A shovel and the walkie-talkie, just in case.”

“Good thinking,” Emma replied, tossing her a shovel. “And take the walkie-talkie so you can check in with us. We’ll set up a base here, and if you find anything interesting, let us know!”

Mia took the walkie-talkie and gave Annie and Emma a thumbs-up before heading off toward the dense foliage lining the beach. As she ventured deeper into the island, the sound of the waves faded, replaced by the rustling of leaves and the distant calls of unknown birds. She felt a thrill of excitement mixed with trepidation.

“Remember, Mia, just because it’s an adventure doesn’t mean it’s all fun and games!” Emma’s voice crackled through the walkie-talkie.

“Got it!” Mia responded. “I’ll be careful. But don’t worry, I’m an explorer now!”

As Mia trekked through the greenery, she spotted a glimmering stream snaking its way through the underbrush. She knelt beside it, using her shovel to dig around the area, hoping to find something useful or interesting.

“Hey! Are you there?” Annie’s voice came through the walkie-talkie.

“Yeah, I’m here!” Mia replied, glancing around. “I found a stream and some really cool rocks!”

“Cool! Grab a few for us! We can use them for decoration or something,” Annie encouraged.

“Will do!” Mia said, scooping up a handful of colorful stones and stuffing them into her pocket. As she stood up to explore further, a flash of movement caught her eye. Curious, she crept toward a cluster of bushes and gasped as she peered through the leaves.

There, nestled between the foliage, was a small clearing filled with vibrant flowers and a massive fruit tree, heavy with ripe fruit. “You guys won’t believe this!” she exclaimed into the walkie-talkie, practically bouncing with excitement. “I found a treasure trove of food!”

“Seriously?” Emma squealed through the device. “Grab some and get back here! We can make a feast!”

“On my way!” Mia replied, her heart racing with the thrill of discovery. She carefully picked some of the fruit, noting their bright colors and sweet scents, before hurrying back toward the camp.

Once she returned, Mia proudly presented her findings to Emma and Annie, who were busy setting up a makeshift shelter with the tent and some palm leaves.

“Look at this!” Mia said, holding up the fruit triumphantly. “This is going to make our feast amazing!”

Blackie, perched nearby, sniffed the air appreciatively. “Finally, something edible! I was beginning to wonder if you humans could survive without me.”

Emma grinned as she began to slice the fruit. “Let’s turn this into a fruit salad! And after we eat, we can decorate the tent with these flowers and rocks!”

Mia and Annie nodded in agreement, excitement bubbling in the air. They set to work, chatting and laughing as they prepared their unexpected feast. With each moment, the strangeness of their situation faded away, replaced by the warmth of friendship and the thrill of their adventure.

After the feast, they sat together, sharing stories and dreams under the setting sun, as Blackie lazily groomed himself, eyeing the girls with a mix of pride and disdain.

“This isn’t so bad after all,” Mia mused, looking around at her friends and the makeshift camp they had created.

“Nope, just another day in the life of an island adventurer,” Annie replied, raising her cup of coconut milk in a toast. “To friendship and surviving the unknown!”

“Cheers to that!” Emma and Mia echoed, clinking their cups together as Blackie rolled his eyes, muttering about the absurdity of humans and their celebrations.

Voiceover - the girls survived today, but what about tomorrow? How long will they be there for? Stay tuned as the journey continues
