Sick

" What happened?" Kai exclaimed as he ran to the big computer, putting his mask on.

" Miss Demeanor's smuggling vengestone." LLoyd replied as he typed something on the computer. A video showed up, live filming from the scene, showing the lady flaming the crops.

" We need to get there, NOW!" Cole declared as he put his mask on.

Then Nya looked around.. " Where's Jay?"

" Sleeping." Kai replied.

" Could you wake him up? It's an all hands on deck mission." LLoyd requested, grabbing his katana.

Kai nodded. " Got it."

He ran to the elevator, went up, ran to Jay's room, and burst in.

He did not like what he was seeing.

Jay was shivering, clutching Mr. Cuddly Womp, and buried under at least three blankets, all thick.

" Jay?" He asked, walking to his brother. " Are you okay?"

Jay peeked out from the blanket. " Y... Yeah." He whispered, his voice hoarse.

Kai put a hand to his forehead.

Jay was burning.

Yet he was still cold.

He frowned a bit, but Jay didn't notice.

" Jay, there's a mission. Are you coming?"

Panic flashed in his eyes. " Uh..... I'm really tired, Kai. Maybe next time."

Kai nodded understandingly. " I'll go tell the others."

He quickly ran out of his house and into the elevator.

" He's sick, isn't he?" He muttered as the elevator took him down.

When the door opened, he stepped out and sighed as he looked at his friends. One look at Kai's face told them all they needed to know.

" You're staying?" Cole asked, stretching.

Kai nodded and sighed. " I have to. Who knows what he's gonna do if he doesn't get treated."

Lloyd nodded. " Stay back. We'll take care of it."

Kai nodded, and the others ran out, leaving Kai to think how he was going to tackle this.

Jay coughed in his elbow, closing his eyes and groaning. He had this headache, his throat was scratchy and dry, and he didn't want to get out of his blanket.
Suddenly, the door creaked open. Jay peeked out of his burrow. There was no one.
But then Kai walked in with a bunch of things in his hand. Medicine, thermometer, his other stuff, and a bunch of other stuff.
" Kai?" HE whispered. " What's all this?"
Kai set everything down, sat on his knees on the floor, took his gloves off, rolled his sleeves, and sorted the things. " Tools."
" For what?"
" To make sure you heal okay."
Jay groaned. " Not this again."
Kai looked up, looking at Jay square in the eye. " Yes, this again! What did you think I was gonna do, let you perish on your own?"
Jay buried himself back in his blanket. " Yes."
" Nope." Kai said, with an edge of amusement in his voice. " And since you can't be trusted where you're feeling down, I'm doing a full check."
Jay sighed. " You can just ask me, you know."
Kai stopped sorting. Jay held his breath, hoping he just gave up and left.
He didn't.
He lifted the edge of the blanket and looked at Jay. " No, I can't. You'll just tell me your head hurts and that's it."
Jay groaned, though he couldn't argue with that.
It was true. He didn't really tell anyone if anything was wrong.
Usually Kai found out on his own.
Which is why Jay had been taking deception classes.
They had been working for a few days, but he couldn't take it any longer. He couldn't handle how his head hurt so much it felt like someone dumped two bowling balls on his head.
Kai noticed Jay wincing. " Easy, Buddy. Easy." He said, grabbing an ice pack and pressing it to his brothers curly hair.

Then Kai held a thermometer up. "Come on, Jay. Open up. It's just for a minute," Kai coaxed, holding the thermometer ready.

Jay groaned, pulling the blankets tighter around him as though it might shield him from the inevitable. "Do I really have to?"

"Yes, you really do," Kai replied with a smirk, though his tone remained light. "It's either this or I call Nya, and you know she'll just drag you out of bed."

Jay let out a frustrated sigh, knowing Kai had a point. Reluctantly, he opened his mouth, allowing Kai to slip the thermometer in.

"See? Not so bad," Kai said with a grin, sitting down on the edge of Jay's bed. As the thermometer did its work, Kai continued to press the ice pack to Jay's head, occasionally brushing some of Jay's messy curls away from his face.

Jay closed his eyes, grateful for the cool relief from the ice pack. His body still ached, and his head pounded, but having Kai there made things a little better. "You really don't have to do this, you know," Jay mumbled, his voice muffled by the thermometer as he scooted closer to kasi leg.

Kai chuckled. "You always say that, and yet here we are. Every time."

Jay couldn't help but smile faintly at that, despite feeling miserable. He didn't like being taken care of, but Kai's persistence had a way of wearing him down.

After a minute, the thermometer beeped, and Kai removed it, checking the reading. His brows furrowed slightly. "102.5°F. No wonder you feel like garbage," he muttered under his breath, concern etched on his face.

"That's bad, huh?" Jay asked, his voice a bit raspy.

Kai gave him a look. "Yeah, but you'll be fine. We just need to bring that fever down. I'll get some medicine in you, and then you're going to rest."

Jay groaned again, sinking deeper into his blankets. "I hate medicine."

Kai rolled his eyes playfully. "You hate everything when you're sick, but you'll take it. No arguments."

He moved to grab the medicine he'd brought, pouring the appropriate dose into a small cup. "Here. This will help."

Jay eyed the cup suspiciously but knew better than to argue with Kai at this point. He reluctantly took it, downing the medicine quickly before handing the cup back with a grimace.

"See? Not so bad," Kai said with a grin as he took the cup from him. "Now just rest up, okay? I'll stay here in case you need anything."

Jay sighed, already feeling the medicine start to take effect. "Thanks, Kai."

Kai smiled softly, ruffling Jay's hair. "Anytime, buddy." He stayed seated on the bed, keeping an eye on his brother as Jay slowly drifted off to sleep, knowing that his work as the responsible big brother wasn't done just yet.

Two hours later, Kai returned to Jay's room, hoping the fever had started to go down. Quietly, he walked over and placed a hand on Jay's neck. His skin was still burning up-actually hotter than before-but Jay was shivering beneath the blankets.

Kai frowned, worry creeping into his expression. "Buddy, we need to take some of these blankets off," he said softly, starting to pull one back.

Jay instinctively clutched the blanket tighter. "No, Kai! It's freezing!"

Kai hesitated, confused. He didn't feel cold in the room. In fact, it was pretty warm. "Jay, it's not cold in here at all-" he started, but then it hit him. "Oh... right."

He realized that Jay's fever was making him feel cold even though his body temperature was dangerously high. Kai had dealt with this before, and he knew what had to be done, but convincing Jay wasn't going to be easy.

"Listen, Jay, I know you feel like you're freezing, but you're actually burning up," Kai explained gently. "We need to cool you down, or it could get worse."

Jay groaned, still clutching the blanket. "But it's so cold, Kai..."

Kai sat down on the bed beside him, placing a hand on his brother's shoulder. "I know, I know. But I'll help you, okay? We'll do this together. Just trust me."

After a moment, Jay reluctantly let go of the blanket, shivering as Kai started removing the layers one by one. "We'll take it slow," Kai reassured, grabbing a damp cloth and gently pressing it to Jay's forehead to provide some relief.

Jay winced but didn't fight it. "This sucks," he muttered.

Kai chuckled softly. "Yeah, but you'll feel better soon. I'll make sure of it."

Jay closed his eyes, too tired to argue any more, and let Kai take over, grateful in his own quiet way for his brother's care.

* Few minutes later*

Kai had just pulled off the last thick blanket when Jay suddenly grabbed it back, holding it tightly. "Not all of it!" Jay protested, his voice hoarse. "I'm cold, you know!"

Kai paused, his hands still on the blanket, a look of understanding crossing his face. He sighed and gave a small smile. "Alright, alright. You can keep one blanket," he said, gently tucking it around Jay again. "But just one, okay? We need to cool you down."

Jay huddled under the remaining blanket, still shivering but visibly relieved. "Fine," he mumbled, his voice barely audible. "But this is terrible."

Kai nodded sympathetically, sitting back down on the bed next to his brother. "Yeah, I know it sucks," he said, taking the damp cloth and dabbing it on Jay's forehead. "But we'll get through it. You'll feel better soon."

Jay peeked out from under the blanket, his eyes tired but grateful. "Thanks, Kai. For... sticking around."

Kai smiled and patted Jay's shoulder. "Always, Jay. You know I've got your back."

Ten minutes later, Jay was breathing calmly and Kai was sitting next to him reading a magazine when he looked at the time.

"I'll get you some food," Kai said, standing up and stretching a bit, his own stomach rumbling quietly. "You haven't eaten since yesterday, and you're going to need something in your system."

But Jay, still half-buried under the one blanket Kai had let him keep, groaned and waved a weak hand dismissively. "No need," he muttered, his voice scratchy and barely above a whisper. "I can just have some air. It's nice and free."

Kai froze mid-step, staring at Jay like he had grown a second head. "Uh...what?" he asked slowly, his brows knitting together in sheer confusion. He turned back fully, sitting on the edge of the bed again. "Air?"

Jay gave a small, feeble chuckle, his lips curling into a faint smile, though his eyes were half-closed from exhaustion. "Yeah," he repeated, as if it were the most logical answer in the world. "Air. Free. No calories, no cooking, no cleanup. Just...you know. Breathing it in. Feels nice."

Kai blinked, now thoroughly baffled. He stared at his brother, then at the window where a light breeze fluttered the curtains, then back at Jay. "You're joking, right?" he asked, his tone caught between disbelief and amusement. "You're seriously trying to tell me that air is going to be your meal?"

Jay let out another breathy laugh, which quickly turned into a small cough. He shifted slightly under the blanket, pulling it tighter around himself. "Look, it's just...easier, you know?" He closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again, giving Kai a lopsided grin. "No fuss. Just air."

Kai shook his head, now fully perplexed. He reached out and pressed the back of his hand against Jay's forehead again, frowning when he felt the heat radiating off his skin. Jay was still burning up, and yet here he was, talking nonsense about living off air. "Okay, you're not making any sense," Kai said, pulling his hand away and looking at Jay with concern. "You've definitely got a fever if you're seriously suggesting air as food."

Jay groaned softly, rolling his eyes. "It's...a joke, Kai. I'm just too tired to eat anything right now."

Kai let out a small sigh of relief, shaking his head but smiling. "You had me worried there for a second," he said, standing up again and stretching his arms. "I thought you were actually losing it."

Jay closed his eyes again, sinking deeper into the pillow. "I might be," he mumbled, his voice fading into a sleepy whisper. "Or maybe I'm just ahead of the curve. Air diet. It's the future, Kai."

Kai snorted, finally understanding that Jay was just trying to be his usual goofy self, even when he was sick. "Yeah, well, as your personal doctor, I'm going to have to veto that 'air diet' idea," Kai replied, moving toward the door. "I'll be back with some soup. Real food. You know, the kind that keeps you alive."

Jay mumbled something incoherent, his voice trailing off into silence as he drifted back to sleep. Kai paused in the doorway, turning back to look at his brother one last time. He was still curled up under the blanket, looking far too small and frail compared to his usual energetic self. Kai frowned, his heart heavy with worry, but he forced himself to leave the room.

As he headed to the kitchen to make something for Jay, Kai couldn't shake the image of his sick brother trying to joke about air being a meal. Even in moments like this, Jay was still...well, Jay.

But behind that humor, Kai could see the exhaustion and the discomfort weighing on him. Kai couldn't fix everything with a joke or a blanket. He'd need to help Jay get through this, one careful step at a time.

"Air diet," Kai muttered to himself, shaking his head with a soft smile as he started preparing the soup. "Only Jay..."

Kai returned to Jay's room, balancing a bowl of steaming soup in one hand and a spoon in the other. He had managed to whip up some simple broth-nothing too heavy, but it would at least help get something into Jay's system. As he stepped into the room, he found his brother still half-buried in the blanket, eyes barely open as he stirred slightly at the sound of Kai's footsteps.

"Alright, buddy," Kai said softly as he sat down on the edge of the bed, carefully setting the bowl down on the nightstand. "It's time to eat something. Come on, sit up a little."

Jay groaned, his eyes fluttering open, but he didn't seem fully awake. His face was flushed from the fever, and his hair was a tangled mess, sticking to his forehead. He barely reacted as Kai gently nudged him into a sitting position, propping him up with a few pillows.

"I brought you soup," Kai continued, scooping up a spoonful of the broth and holding it in front of Jay's mouth. "It's nice and warm. Just a couple of bites, okay?"

Jay blinked slowly, his head lolling to the side. His gaze shifted lazily to the spoon, and he gave a tired, delirious grin. "I don't want soup," he mumbled, his voice thick with sleep. "I wanna eat my blanket."

Kai froze, staring at him for a moment before raising an eyebrow. "Your...blanket?" he asked, trying to make sense of Jay's words.

Jay nodded, his grin widening as he clutched the edge of the blanket tighter. "So soft...and yummy," he murmured, rubbing his cheek against the fabric. "Mmm...best blanket I've ever had."

Kai snorted in disbelief, trying to suppress a laugh. "Okay, now I know you've lost it," he said, shaking his head as he held up the spoon again. "Jay, you can't eat your blanket. It's not food."

Jay pouted, his eyes half-closed as he slumped back against the pillows. "But it's so cozy..." he whined, clutching the blanket even tighter as if it were the most precious thing in the world. "Warm... and fluffy..."

Kai rolled his eyes, though he couldn't help but smile at his brother's sleepy delirium. "Yeah, well, cozy doesn't fill your stomach," he replied, trying again to coax Jay into taking a bite. "Now, come on. Open up, Jay. Just a little bit. I promise this will be better than your blanket."

Jay blinked slowly, his eyes unfocused as he lazily eyed the spoon. For a moment, it seemed like he might refuse again, but then he sighed and reluctantly opened his mouth, allowing Kai to feed him a spoonful of the warm broth.

"There we go," Kai said, relieved as Jay swallowed. "That wasn't so bad, right?"

Jay let out a soft groan, leaning his head against the pillow. "Still not as good as my blanket," he mumbled, his voice barely audible.

Kai chuckled, shaking his head. "You're really something, Jay."

For the next few minutes, Kai patiently fed Jay small spoonfuls of the soup, trying to get him to eat as much as he could. Jay was half-asleep the whole time, occasionally mumbling nonsense about blankets and pillows, but he managed to get a few bites down.

After a while, Jay's eyelids grew even heavier, and he let out a long, contented sigh as he slumped back against the pillows, the blanket pulled up to his chin. "Mmm...blanket," he muttered again, his voice barely a whisper.

Kai shook his head, smiling fondly as he set the empty bowl aside. "Alright, you win," he said softly, pulling the blanket up a little higher to make sure Jay was comfortable. "But only because you're sick."

Jay didn't respond, already drifting off into a deep sleep. Kai sat there for a moment, watching him with a mix of amusement and concern. Even when he was sick and delirious, Jay never failed to make Kai laugh.

"Rest up, buddy," Kai whispered, standing up and quietly leaving the room. "I'll be here when you wake up."

As he closed the door behind him, Kai couldn't help but chuckle one last time at the thought of Jay trying to eat his blanket. Only Jay...

Two hours later, Kai sat in the living room, scrolling through his phone absentmindedly while keeping an ear out for any sounds from Jay's room. The others had just returned from their mission, walking in with weary expressions and wiping the dirt off their clothes.

"How's Jay?" Lloyd asked as he pulled off his mask, tossing it onto the table. His eyes were filled with concern.

Kai sighed, locking his phone and slipping it into his pocket. "He's... okay, I guess? Still not great though," he replied, rubbing the back of his neck. "He's been sleeping for a while, but his fever hasn't gone down much."

"Still feverish, huh?" Cole said, sitting down heavily on the couch. "Man, Jay never gets sick like this."

Nya crossed her arms, frowning. "It's weird for him to be so out of it," she agreed, her voice laced with worry.

"Yeah, tell me about it," Kai muttered. "I'm gonna go check on him again, just to see how he's doing."

With that, Kai got up and headed down the hallway, his footsteps quickening as he neared Jay's room. He gently pushed open the door and poked his head inside.

What he saw made his heart sink.

Jay, who had been bundled in a few blankets earlier, was now completely buried under a mountain of them. There had to be at least ten thick blankets piled on top of him, covering him from head to toe. His curly hair peeked out from under the edge of one of them, but other than that, Jay was completely hidden under the layers.

"Oh no, no no no no no no no," Kai muttered in disbelief, rushing into the room. He hurried to the bed and started peeling off the blankets one by one. "Jay, what are you doing? You're gonna overheat like this!"

As he pulled off the last blanket, Kai found Jay curled up in a tight ball, shivering despite the warmth in the room. His face was flushed, his breathing shallow, and his body still radiated heat. Yet, even with all that, Jay mumbled sleepily, his voice muffled under the edge of the blanket. "Cold... so cold..."

Kai's heart clenched. His brother was clearly burning up, yet he still felt cold. That wasn't good.

"Jay, come on, you can't keep piling these on," Kai said gently as he checked Jay's forehead again, his skin still burning to the touch. "You're already too hot, and this isn't helping."

Jay let out a groggy groan, his eyes barely opening. "But... I'm freezing..." he whispered, trying to tug the blanket back up over his shoulders.

Kai sighed, his face softening. "I know, but trust me, you're not. You're just burning up so much that it feels like you're cold." He sat down beside Jay on the bed, brushing some of the hair off his sweaty forehead. "I've gotta cool you down, okay? No more blankets for now."

Jay whined softly, his eyes fluttering shut again. "S'not fair... blankets are nice..."

Kai chuckled lightly, shaking his head. "Yeah, well, you'll like it a lot less if you get any worse."

Kai pulled away and got up to grab a fresh cold compress. As he pressed it against Jay's forehead, he hoped it would at least make a small difference. He looked down at his brother, still curled up under the last thin sheet, and his heart ached. Jay wasn't usually the type to stay down for long, but this fever had completely wiped him out.

"You're tough, Jay," Kai whispered softly, sitting back down on the bed. "Just hang in there a little longer, okay?"

Jay murmured something incoherent in his sleep, his body finally starting to relax a little as the cool compress worked its magic. Kai stayed there beside him, watching over him closely, determined to make sure his brother pulled through this, no matter what.

The others could wait. Right now, Jay needed him more than anything.

Kai had just finished turning the fan on when a loud, dramatic yell came from the bed.

"I'M FREEZING, KAI!" Jay's voice echoed through the room, sounding both hoarse and incredibly whiny. He pulled the remaining blanket tighter around himself, burying deeper under the covers like a burrito.

Kai, startled by the outburst, turned to see Jay glaring at him with wide, tired eyes. His face was flushed from the fever, and he looked like he had zero energy left, yet he still managed to muster enough annoyance to make his displeasure known.

Kai sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Jay, you're burning up. You need to cool down, man."

Jay groaned, shivering dramatically under the single blanket. "But I'm freezing!" he whined, tugging the edges of the blanket up over his head again. "Turn it off, turn it off, turn it oooofffff!"

"Jay, no. You need air. If you keep heating up like this, you're gonna feel worse. Trust me."

Jay peeked out from his blanket cocoon, squinting at Kai like he was betraying him. "I trusted you before, Kai. And now I'm freezing to death," he muttered, voice muffled by the covers.

Kai couldn't help but chuckle at how ridiculously dramatic his brother was being. "You're not freezing to death, Jay. It just feels like it because you've got a fever. Your body's confused."

Jay wasn't having any of it. He rolled over, turning his back to Kai, and grumbled, "Betrayed by my own brother... the betrayal is real..."

Kai smirked and shook his head, walking over to sit at the foot of the bed. "You'll thank me later," he said, reaching over to gently rub Jay's back through the blanket. "I promise."

Jay peeked out again, pouting, still looking unconvinced. "You better be right..."

"Hey," Kai said, his voice softening, "I wouldn't let you freeze. I've got your back, alright? Always."

Jay stayed quiet for a moment, his pout slowly easing. He finally mumbled, "Okay, but if I wake up an icicle, you owe me a million blankets."

Kai laughed. "Deal. Now get some more rest. I'll check on you in a bit."

Jay grumbled something incoherent, but within moments, his breathing evened out, and he drifted back to sleep, still bundled up in his blanket. Kai watched him for a while, the soft hum of the fan filling the room, hoping that the cool air would finally help bring Jay's fever down.

He stood up, adjusting the fan slightly so it wouldn't blow directly on Jay, and left the room quietly. As much as Jay complained, Kai knew he was doing the right thing, even if it meant being the bad guy for a while. Jay would thank him when he felt better-eventually.

Ten minutes after Kai had left the room, another shout erupted from Jay's room, startling everyone in the base.

"KAI, WHY AM I IN THE SAVANNAH!?" Jay's voice rang out, full of confusion and dramatic flair, as usual.

Cole, sitting nearby, raised a brow and looked at Kai with disbelief. "Wait a minute," Cole said, scratching his head. "Didn't you just say he was cold?"

Kai stood up quickly, clearly puzzled by the outburst. "Yeah, I did," he replied, his mind racing as he rushed towards Jay's room. "I don't know what's going on."

Bursting into the room, Kai froze, mouth slightly open at the sight before him. Jay was standing directly in front of the fan, with ten other fans surrounding him from all angles, all blasting cold air. He was smiling, arms outstretched like he was soaking in the cool breeze on a hot day.

The room itself felt like a walk-in freezer.

"Jay, it's freezing in here!" Kai exclaimed, shocked by the drastic change in temperature. He could see his own breath in the air. "What are you doing!?"

Jay turned to him with a delirious grin, his face pale but looking oddly pleased with himself. "No, Kai, you were right!" he said, his voice slightly hoarse but filled with triumph. "It's so good! I'm not hot anymore!"

Kai rushed over, his eyes wide with concern, and placed a hand on Jay's forehead. His skin was freezing. "Jay, you're freezing cold!" he blurted out, his heart sinking. "How are you standing here like this?"

Jay just blinked at him, looking a bit confused. "Freezing?" he repeated, tilting his head. "Nah, it feels great. I don't even feel sick anymore!"

Kai ran his hand through his hair, trying to think of what to do. "You're not better, Jay. You're just really cold now, and that's not good. You need to get under the covers again, okay? This is way too much!"

Jay shook his head, stumbling a little as he turned back toward the fans. "But I feel awesome, Kai! It's like I'm in the savannah, but it's all cool and breezy! This is perfect!"

Cole, who had followed Kai into the room, stared at the scene in disbelief. "Man, this is not right," he said, crossing his arms. "Didn't you say he was overheating like, an hour ago? How's he freezing now?"

Kai sighed, clearly frustrated. "I have no idea, Cole. One second he's burning up, and now this."

He moved to turn off one of the fans, but Jay immediately protested. "Nooo, Kai, don't! I need the fans! They're my friends!" Jay sounded desperate, like a kid being told his toys were about to be taken away.

Kai shook his head, firmly but gently guiding Jay away from the fan. "You're going back to bed, Jay. You're freezing, and this much cold air is making it worse."

Jay let out a dramatic sigh but didn't resist as Kai helped him back toward the bed. "But Kai, the fans... they're so... nice," Jay mumbled sleepily, already half-asleep as Kai tucked him back under the blankets.

Kai adjusted the blankets around him, making sure Jay was comfortable but not buried in too many layers this time. He turned off all the fans except for one, set to a low setting, just to keep the air circulating.

"Sorry, buddy," Kai whispered softly. "I've gotta keep you balanced, alright?"

Jay murmured something incoherent, already drifting back into a feverish sleep. Kai stood by his side for a moment, watching his brother's chest rise and fall, relieved that Jay was calm again, even if he was still sick.

"Just rest, Jay. I'll get you through this," Kai said quietly, pulling a chair up to sit next to the bed.

The next morning, Kai awoke with a start, his heart racing. He blinked sleepily and looked around, trying to get his bearings. His eyes quickly landed on a surprising sight that made him sit up straight.

Jay was dancing around the room with a big, carefree smile plastered on his face, his energy back in full force. He was twirling and hopping, chanting loudly, "I'm okay! I'm okay! I'm okay!"

Nya was beside him, her face lit up with a mix of relief and amusement. She was clapping her hands along with Jay's rhythm, clearly enjoying the spectacle.

Kai rubbed his eyes, still a bit groggy, and stretched. He couldn't help but chuckle at the scene before him. "And good morning to you too, little sis and brother-in-law," Kai said, a playful tone in his voice as he stood up from the bed.

Jay stopped his dance routine and looked over at Kai with a grin. "Kai! You're up!" he exclaimed, practically glowing with health. "I feel amazing! Thanks for all your help yesterday."

He lunged at Kai and hugged him tight. Kai, though suprised, returned the favor.

Nya waved cheerfully at Kai. "He's back to his old self," she said, still smiling. "I think you worked a miracle, Kai."

Kai shook his head with a mix of relief and exhaustion. "Glad to hear you're feeling better, Jay," he said, untangling himself from his arms. "You really had me worried."

Jay gave a playful, exaggerated bow. "All thanks to you, my brother. Now I'm back in action, ready for whatever comes next!"

Kai laughed softly. "Well, I'm glad you're up and about, but remember, don't push yourself too hard too quickly."

Jay waved him off playfully. "Don't worry, Kai. I'm ready to go. What's next?"

Kai sighed, taking in the sight of his energetic brother and the cheerful Nya. "How about breakfast first? We could all use a good meal after the chaos of yesterday."

Nya nodded enthusiastically. "Sounds like a plan. I'll get something started."

As Nya headed to the kitchen, Kai looked at Jay with a smile. "Alright, let's get some food into you and then see what's on the agenda for today."

Jay nodded eagerly, still bouncing with energy. "Sounds good to me!"
