" WHO DID THIS?!"
Annie blinked. " Mia, it's not a big-"
" I ASKED WHO DID THIS?!"
Emma looked up and rubbed her eyes. " Mia, it's not a big-"
" OH YES IT'S A BIG DEAL EMMA NOW JUST ANSWER MY QUESTION!"
Annie wiped her eyes with a tissue and said in a small voice, " It was Olive-"
" OLIVE?" Mia screamed. " YOU MEAN THE SAME GIRL WHO BULLIED ME WHEN I WAS YOUNG?!"
Emma nodded, and Mia grabbed her bag ( full of weapons, May I add) and stormed out.
Annie and Emma blinked and followed.
" She's gonna do something crazy, isn't she?" Emma muttered.
" Yep."Annie replied.
Mia marched right up to the blonde haired girl and grabbed her collar. " Okay Olive what did you do to them?"
Olive feigned innocence. " Do what?"
Mia kicked her shin. " YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!"
Annie and Emma's eyes widened. " Oh no...." Emma muttered.
" This isn't gonna end well...." Annie added.
Olive glared at the younger girl. " What was that for?*
Mia leaned in real close. " Either you apologize to those two or you apologize."
" For what, saying the truth?" Olive shot back.
The blonde hair girl's face and our hero's fist.... Collided.
Mia stood there, her hand still clenched into a fist, staring down at Olive, who was now rubbing her jaw with a stunned expression. The silence that followed was deafening.
Annie winced. "Uh, Mia, I think you broke her."
Emma put her hands on her hips, raising an eyebrow. "Well, she had it coming. I mean, who punches someone in the face after a serious conversation about apologizing?"
Olive blinked rapidly, as if trying to process what just happened. Her usual sass was replaced with a stunned, almost dazed look. "Y-you punched me?"
"Yeah," Mia said, her voice colder than usual. "And I’ll do it again if you don’t apologize right now." She stepped back, hands still in fists, just in case Olive needed any more convincing.
Olive rubbed her chin, still in shock. "What’s wrong with you?!" she finally spat, clearly embarrassed now.
Mia gave a sharp laugh, looking at her friends. "What’s wrong with me? What’s wrong with you, Olive? Bullying people like it's a hobby? No, you don’t get to do that anymore."
" You can't get me to do what you say!* Olive said, standing up. " You can't -"
Mia pointed a gun at the girl's forehead. " You were saying?"
Mia's friends, eyes wide, could only stare.
"Don’t think I’m playing around here," Mia warned, her voice dripping with menace.
Olive opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. Her eyes darted from Mia’s unwavering stance to the gun now resting just inches from her forehead. She swallowed hard, realizing the gravity of the situation.
"Look," Emma said quickly, stepping forward with her hands raised in a calming gesture. "Mia, come on. Let’s just—"
"No," Mia interrupted, her voice cold. "She needs to understand that she can’t just do whatever she wants without consequences."
Annie, still wide-eyed, was struggling to figure out how to de-escalate the situation. She glanced at Emma for help, but both of them knew they had little time to intervene before things spiraled even further.
The crowd had grown, murmurs and gasps echoing through the air. A few brave souls were filming, others were too stunned to even speak. Olive, realizing that she couldn’t back out now, stared defiantly at Mia.
"You think you scare me?" Olive sneered, though her voice quivered slightly.
Mia’s response was immediate. She let out a sharp laugh, the sound filled with bitterness. "You’ve been scaring people for way too long, Olive. It’s time someone turned the tables."
Just as Olive took a step back, Mia’s hand whipped out, grabbing her collar once again, this time with the fury of someone who had been pushed too far for too long. "Do it," Mia spat, her eyes locked onto Olive’s with an intensity that left no room for argument.
Mia’s fist was raised again, and the crowd gasped, some taking steps back, others frozen in place. Olive, despite her earlier defiance, realized she was powerless. She opened her mouth, preparing to speak, but Mia didn’t give her the chance.
"Apologize," Mia ordered, her tone unwavering.
Olive blinked, her face turning red. She clenched her fists and, with obvious reluctance, muttered, "Fine. I apologize." Her voice was small, almost a whisper, but it was enough to make Mia step back.
Mia nodded once, satisfied. "Good. Now, stay the heck away from my friends. Understand?"
Olive nodded quickly, not daring to say another word. She turned on her heel, bolting away from the scene, her head down in embarrassment. The crowd that had gathered slowly began to disperse, the tension finally breaking as Mia lowered the gun and walked back toward Annie and Emma.
Emma let out a breath she didn’t realize she’d been holding. "Mia… that was intense."
Annie, still in shock, nodded. "Yeah, you—uh—you really went full lioness on her."
Mia glanced at the two of them, a small, almost dangerous smirk tugging at her lips. "Sometimes, you’ve gotta remind people why they shouldn’t mess with you."
Blackie, who had somehow appeared in the middle of the scene, jumped onto Mia’s shoulder with a soft meow. "I’m impressed, Mia. I almost thought you’d take her out for dinner, too."
Mia rolled her eyes but couldn’t suppress the grin. "One step at a time, Blackie."
Emma grinned. " But let's just say we should never do this again. Ever."
Annie agreed. " Yeah, Mia. Never."
Mia pouted. " Aww, but why?"
The girls glared at her.
