Jay's Arm
Yeah I know sorry there are so many variations
Kai stepped into the dimly lit room, arms crossed, his tone laced with suspicion. "Yeah, see, normally, I would," he said, leaning against the doorframe. "But you’ve got that guilty little 'I’m hiding something' voice going on. So, what did you do this time?"
Jay shifted under his blanket, curling up even tighter. "Nothing."
Kai arched an eyebrow. "Uh-huh. And I suppose you always sleep like a burrito clinging to its own filling?"
Jay scoffed. "Maybe I do! Ever think of that?"
Kai narrowed his eyes, stepping closer. "Right. Move the blanket."
"No."
"Move the blanket, Jay."
Jay shook his head. "Nope. Not happening. Goodnight!"
Kai huffed, rubbing his temples. "You know what? Fine." He turned to leave. "I’ll just go tell Nya that her husband is acting all suspicious and—"
Jay immediately bolted upright. "YOU WOULDN’T!"
Kai smirked. "Wouldn’t I?"
Jay groaned, knowing full well that Kai absolutely would. "Ugh, fine!" With great reluctance, he pulled the blanket away, revealing his arm—swollen, red, and clearly in pain.
Kai’s smirk vanished instantly. "Jay. What the heck did you do?"
Jay fidgeted. "Uh… so, funny story—"
Kai cut him off. "Let me guess. You did something dumb?"
Jay pouted. "I prefer the term 'spontaneous and full of life.'"
Kai rolled his eyes and sat on the edge of the bed, grabbing Jay’s arm gently despite the dramatic wince that followed. "Idiot," he muttered. "What even happened?"
Jay sighed. "I may have… fallen. And landed. On my arm. Hard."
Kai gave him a deadpan stare. "And you weren’t going to tell me because…?"
Jay looked away, mumbling, "Because I was proving I was tough."
Kai let out a slow, deep breath. "Jay. You are literally the worst at hiding injuries. You always do this. And it never works."
Jay blinked. "I have a 50/50 success rate!"
Kai scoffed. "More like 90/10. And the 10% is just because we’re too busy to notice immediately."
Jay sighed dramatically. "Fine, I get it, I get it. I’m a horrible secret-keeper. Are you happy now?"
Kai ignored him, already examining the injury. "Well, congrats, tough guy, you probably sprained it. And guess what? Now I get to poke at it and make it worse just to prove a point."
Jay paled. "Wait—what?"
Kai grinned mischievously. "Oh, I’m kidding. Mostly."
Jay groaned, flopping back onto the bed. "I hate you."
Kai patted his head. "Love you too, bud. Now sit tight while I grab some bandages before Nya finds out and drags you to the hospital."
Jay shuddered. "Okay, fine, you can handle it. Just—please don’t tell Nya."
Kai smirked. "No promises."
