CyberRealm and Peoplenapper
" I am NOT naming my kids CyberRealm and Peoplenapper!* Annie argued as Unagami bounces both their kids to sleep.
Mia rolled her eyes. " Well, Willow and Will are too bland!"
" You could name them Mr and Ms. Dagger!" Morro piped up.
They all stared at him. " No way !* They all choursed.
" Daisy and Duke?" Nelson asked.
" Kaboom and Katching?" That was Emma.
" Onimonopia and Sarcasm?" That was Morro again.
Mia groaned.
* Trash and Garbage?"
Mia sputtered, " what the .... No!"
Nelson slapped his head. " No way."
Unagami, who was deep in thought, suggested, " Izzy and Cooper.*
" You mean Iz and Coop." Mia piped up, taking notes.
Nelson peered over her shoulder. " what?!"
Mia turned. " What what?"
Nelson blinked at her. " You don't stalk people!"
" Who are you talking about?" Mia asked, confused.
Nelson sighed. " Never mind."
Annie was intrigued. " What happened?" She asked, walking over.
Nelson sighed. " The other day, when Mia was getting baby stuff for you, a shopper teased her. She got angry and..... Well, stalked him."
" His name is Horseshoe McCoy. He lives 56397 Julia Road, Ninjago, 56876. He was born and raised here, an-"
" Okay, okay, thank you! We get the point!" Morro moaned.
Mia rolled her eyes. " Anyway, Coop and Iz, welcome to the world."
Then Mia picked her planner up and scanned the page. " At four, both new babies have a. Appointment with my brother in law."
Morro raised a brow. " You really don't leave any stone unturned, do you?"
Mia grinned and shook her head. " Nope!"
The small examination room was bathed in soft light, and Kai, wearing his usual doctor's coat over his red gi, was busy adjusting his stethoscope as Mia continued her relentless rant.
"-and then, he had the nerve to tell me I was overreacting!" Mia fumed, arms crossed, pacing back and forth across the room. "I mean, who even does that after insulting someone's shopping choices?"
Annie groaned from her seat beside Unagami, who was gently cradling the two newborns, Izzy and Cooper, as they snoozed in his arms. "Mia, please," she said, rubbing her temples. "We've heard this story a hundred times."
"And I'll say it a hundred more!" Mia shot back, not slowing down. "He called the onesies I picked 'tacky'! Tacky! Can you believe that?"
Kai, who had been focusing on the babies, finally turned around and raised a brow at Mia. "Mia, aren't you supposed to be helping keep the peace here? You're wound up tighter than Lloyd's battle drills."
Mia blinked at him, momentarily pausing her pacing. "Kai, you don't get it. It's the principle of the matter. No one insults my baby shopping skills."
Unagami sighed, glancing at Annie with a weary smile. "She's been like this for days," he whispered. "I can't believe we're still talking about McCoy."
Kai chuckled as he slipped the stethoscope into place and approached Izzy, who was lying in the cradle of Unagami's arms. "Alright, Mia, enough about McCoy for now. Let's focus on these little ones, okay? Babies don't need their aunt to be this stressed out."
Mia huffed but finally stopped her pacing, folding her arms. "Fine. But only because they're adorable."
Kai rolled his eyes good-naturedly and leaned in, pressing the stethoscope gently to Izzy's tiny chest. The baby didn't stir, just let out a soft coo as Kai listened closely.
"Heartbeat sounds good," Kai said with a nod, glancing at Annie. "You've got a healthy one here."
Annie smiled tiredly. "That's a relief. The first few weeks have been... well, exhausting."
Kai chuckled. "Welcome to parenthood." He moved over to Cooper, repeating the process. As he worked, Mia sidled up next to him.
"So, I'm thinking I need to track McCoy down again-"
"Mia," Kai interrupted, not looking up from his examination. "No stalking."
"I'm not stalking," Mia huffed. "I'm just... keeping an eye on him."
Unagami let out a groan. "Please, Mia, for the love of Ninjago, let it go."
Morro, who had been lounging in the corner with his arms behind his head, smirked. "I say let her have at it. Maybe McCoy needs a little 'friendly' reminder about shopping etiquette."
Kai gave Morro a look. "You're not helping."
Mia puffed her cheeks out in frustration but stayed quiet as Kai finished checking Cooper. He finally straightened up, pulling off his stethoscope and tossing it onto the counter.
"Well, both Iz and Coop are perfectly healthy," Kai announced, a soft smile tugging at his lips. "Congrats, you two."
Annie visibly relaxed. "Thank you, Kai," she said with sincere gratitude.
Unagami stood up, still cradling the babies. "That's a relief," he agreed, his tone gentle. "We're just happy to know they're okay."
Mia nodded, though she still had that fiery glint in her eyes. "Yeah, yeah, they're perfect and healthy-but seriously, you guys, about McCoy-"
"MIA!" everyone groaned in unison.
Kai laughed, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "Come on, buddy. I think you need to take a walk. Clear your head."
Mia pouted, but the corners of her mouth twitched upward. "Fine. But I'm not done with this."
Kai ruffled her hair affectionately. "I wouldn't expect anything less."
After a long walk with Mia, Kai trudged back into the living room, looking more tired than usual. His normally bright eyes were a bit dim, and he slumped into a chair with a weary sigh. The room was filled with the gentle sounds of Izzy and Cooper cooing in their crib, while Annie and Unagami were relaxing nearby.
Mia, with a somewhat satisfied grin on her face, had returned to her usual vibrant self, having let off some steam during the walk. She flopped down next to Kai, still buzzing with energy.
Kai glanced at Unagami and Annie, his exhaustion evident. "So," he started, rubbing his temples, "how are you guys still friends with her?"
Annie looked up, her expression a mix of sympathy and amusement. "It's not easy, Kai. She's passionate and, well, relentless. But she has a good heart."
Unagami chuckled softly, looking over at Mia, who was now animatedly discussing something with Morro. "You get used to it. Her energy can be overwhelming, but she means well."
Kai sighed, nodding. "I can see that. She's got a lot of fire in her-literally and figuratively."
Annie smiled, giving Kai a reassuring pat on the back. "We've all learned to manage. Just make sure you get plenty of rest and maybe keep some earplugs handy."
Morro, who had been lounging nearby with a smirk, added, "Trust me, Kai, you get used to the chaos. It's part of the package deal."
Kai shook his head, trying to smile despite his exhaustion. "I guess I'll have to. Thanks for the heads-up."
Mia, noticing the conversation, came over and sat beside Kai, her enthusiasm dialed down to a more mellow level. "So, how was the walk, Kai? Did you enjoy it?"
Kai managed a tired smile. "It was good, Mia. Just... a bit more eventful than I anticipated."
Mia chuckled. "I guess that's just how I am. But thanks for walking with me. I really needed it."
Kai sighed with a mix of relief and resignation. "I know, Mia. And you're welcome."
Annie and Unagami exchanged knowing looks, clearly familiar with the dynamic. "We all appreciate your patience, Kai," Unagami said, giving him a grateful nod.
Kai leaned back, closing his eyes for a moment before opening them again. "Well, at least the babies are doing great. That's what really matters."
Annie smiled, looking at the peacefully sleeping infants. "Exactly. And we're grateful for your help with them."
Kai nodded, his fatigue easing as he looked around at the supportive faces of those around him. "Alright, let's just enjoy the moment. Babies are happy, and we're all here."
Mia sat quietly for a moment, then leaned in and gave Kai a quick hug. "Thanks for being so understanding, Kai. I know I can be a handful."
Kai laughed softly, hugging her back. "It's all part of the adventure, Mia. And it's one I'm glad to be a part of."
As Kai tried to find some comfort on the couch, Mia was busy fussing over the two sleeping babies, Izzy and Cooper. She picked them up with gentle care, her eyes alight with enthusiasm. Kai, still worn out from the walk and the earlier ordeal, sat with a sigh, his attention focused on Mia as she started talking.
"Alright, Izzy and Cooper," Mia said, gently rocking them. "I want to tell you about someone named George McDonald."
Kai, trying to catch his breath, perked up. "George McDonald?"
Mia nodded eagerly. "Yeah, he's 45 years old and lives at 56865 Kaih Drive, 46907. He works as an accountant and enjoys gardening on weekends. He has two cats named Fluffy and Socks and he volunteers at the local animal shelter every Saturday."
Kai's face fell, a groan escaping his lips. "Mia, I know for a fact Jay didn't teach you this."
Annie, who had been listening quietly, shook her head. "Mia, you really shouldn't be stalking people."
Mia's eyes widened in confusion. "I'm not stalking anyone! I just go online and search for random people. It's not like I'm invading their privacy or anything."
Everyone stared at her, mouths agape. Jay, who had just walked into the room, looked bewildered as he took in the scene. "What's going on now?"
Mia, oblivious to the discomfort her behavior was causing, cheerfully explained, "I was just telling Izzy and Cooper about George McDonald. He's a really interesting person!"
Jay slapped his forehead in exasperation. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me. You picked up Mom's hobby?"
Kai's eyes widened. "Wait, your mom stalked people?"
Jay sighed deeply. "Unfortunately, yes. She had a habit of gathering way too much information about people she barely knew. It was... an obsession, really."
Annie's eyes widened as she absorbed the revelation. "Your mom really did that?"
Jay nodded, looking rueful. "Yeah. It was a bit of a problem, and now Mia seems to have picked up on it."
Kai groaned. But before he could open his mouth, Mia did
" Kai Smith. Elemental master of Fire. Since a young age he hated listening to people. He skipped school and got a job at a store. Then, when he was old enough, he-"
" Okay, okay, Mia, we get it!" Kai exclaimed, burning red.
Mia smiles sweetly. " You're welcome."
