Blackie's birthday my

" Blackie, wake up! It's your birthday!"

Blackie meowed and opened an eye. " I was having the best dream, Mia."

" But it's your birthday! I already have a detailed list!*

" Oh, joy." Blackie said in a flat tone.

" Oh, cheer up, Blackie! We have breakfast waiting for you in the kitchen!"

" Who's ' we'?" Blackie asked lazily, closing his eyes.

Mia sighed. " The point is, I have breakfast for you!"

" I just want a peaceful birthday." Blackie meowed.

Mia shook her head with a smile on her face. " It will. When you wake up!"

Blackie didn't move.

Mia scooped her car up and walked to the kitchen.

" I have my own car. How joyful." Blackie said in a sarcastic voice.

Mia ignored him. " You'll have the best day ever, Bee!"

Blackie meowed, but inside he felt happy. True, Mia showered him with things on normal days, but today was his birthday!

The one day Mia would be dedicated to him.

Anyway, as they walked into the kitchen, Blackie caught sight of his food and water bowl.

It was on. The. Couch.

Blackie was set on the ground, and he ran to the couch, hopped on, and looked at his food in delight.

Blueberries and yogurt.

" Yippie!" Blackie exclaimed as he gobbled his food. When he was done, his owner set a small birthday hat on his head.

" Come on, big guy." Mia said as she wheeled his stroller out of her room. " We have a catnip field to go to."

---------------

" THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!" Blackie yelled as he chased a butterfly and pounced on a large patch of catnip.

Mia laughed. " Blackie, you're getting covered!"

Blackie, rolling around in the catnip patch, was a whirlwind of black fur and green leaves. "I don't care!" he meowed, his voice muffled as he playfully attacked another patch of catnip. "This is my day!"

Mia stood nearby, laughing as she watched her beloved cat indulge in his birthday adventure. "I told you it would be fun!" she called out, pushing Blackie's stroller closer to the shade of a tree.

Blackie pounced on a butterfly again, missing it by inches, but he didn't care. He leaped and spun in circles, his usually sassy demeanor replaced by pure joy. The catnip field stretched out before him like a paradise.

"This is even better than the dream I was having," Blackie admitted between leaps. "And I was on a throne of tuna in that dream!"

Mia shook her head with a smirk. "See, I told you! Sometimes, real life can be even better than your dreams."

Blackie slowed down, his paws sinking into the soft patch of grass as he plopped down in exhaustion. "Okay, okay, you win this time. This... this is the best day ever."

Mia walked over, kneeling beside him and stroking his back. "Happy birthday, Blackie. You deserve it."

Blackie purred, closing his eyes contentedly as the sun warmed his fur. "You know, Mia... you're not half bad for a human."

Mia chuckled, patting his head. "I'll take that as a compliment." She looked out at the field, content in the moment. "But the day's not over yet, Bee. There's still more fun ahead."

Blackie cracked one eye open, still purring. "As long as it involves more catnip, I'm in."

---------

" This is.... So relaxing." Blackie meowed as he looked through a catalog.

Mia shook her head as she brushed her cat. " You're useless when you're getting spoiled, you know that?"

Blackie rolled on his back, still purring. " Maybe."

Then he caught sight of the nail polish. " I CAN GET NAIL POLISH?!" He exclaimed.

Mia giggled as she continued brushing Blackie's sleek black fur. "Yep, you sure can. It's your special day, after all."

Blackie's eyes widened, still focused on the catalog in front of him. "Pink...no, gold...wait, sparkly blue?! I can't decide!"

Mia smirked, shaking her head. "You're really getting into this, aren't you?"

Blackie rolled over and stretched lazily, paws reaching up to the sky. "You know me, Mia. I don't mess around when it comes to being pampered." He then looked at her, tail flicking. "So, when are we getting that nail polish?"

Mia laughed, setting the brush down. "Fine, fine! I'll put it on now!"

Blackie purred loudly. "I'll be the most glamorous cat in town. Everyone will be jealous."

Mia chuckled, rubbing behind his ears. "Of course you will, Bee. You already are, with or without the polish."

Blackie smirked, flipping back onto his paws. "True. But a little sparkle never hurt anyone."

Mia shook her head. " Which one do you want? Gold or blue or pink?"

" How about all three?" Blackie asked with a mischievous glint in his eye.

Mia sighed. " You're making me work!" She complained.

" It's my birthday. You have to." Blackie said as he closed his eyes.

Mia rolled her eyes. " I suppose."

-----------------

" Look at the menu!" Blackie breathed. " There's vanilla.... And chocolate.... And cotton candy!"

Mia laughed as she sat in front of her cat. " You know, I think it's a good thing you're different from the other cats."

" How so?"

" Well, you can talk, eat anything, be a cat credit card -"

" That last thing is something you forced me to do, might I add?" Blackie said.

Mia rolled her eyes. " Is it really my fault you are my credit card the other day?"

Blackie hit his head with his paw. " I didn't eat it! You attached it to my collar!"

" Uh huh. Totally."

Blackie looked back at the ice cream menu. " I think I'll have.... Chocolate and vanilla."

Mia smiled, waving the server over. "One chocolate and vanilla for the birthday cat!"

The server blinked, slightly confused, but nodded. "Coming right up."

Blackie's tail flicked with excitement. "This day keeps getting better and better."

Mia leaned forward, resting her elbows on the table. "You're really enjoying this, aren't you?"

Blackie stretched out, lounging lazily on the chair. "Of course. Who wouldn't want a day dedicated to ice cream and catnip?"

Mia grinned. "It's what you deserve, Bee. After all, you put up with me and my adventures every day."

Blackie smirked. "True, but you do keep life interesting. Just remember, next time, less running around and more napping. Deal?"

"Deal," Mia laughed as the server returned with Blackie's treat, setting a small dish of chocolate and vanilla ice cream in front of him.

Blackie's eyes lit up as he leaned down, sniffing the sweet scent. "Perfect," he purred, taking his first lick.

Mia took a picture of her car as he gobbled his treat. " You aren't gonna save any for me?".She asked in mock sadness.

" Get your own."

Mia laughed and waved the server over
" Chocolate and cotton candy, please!"

The server nodded and exchanged a look with the other waiters.

Blackie noticed. " You really went with your weird combos, huh?"

Mia laughed as the server came over with her dish.." Welp, I like it. Is there something wrong with that?"

Blackie shook his head. " No. Not at all."

--------------

" Choose whatever you want, Bee." Mia said as they entered the car store.

" Wait, anything?"

Mia nodded. " Yep!"

Blackie's eyes widened as he hopped out of his stroller, his tail flicking with excitement. "Anything?" he repeated, his voice filled with disbelief.

Mia grinned, folding her arms as she watched him dart from one shiny car to another. "Yep. It's your birthday, Bee. Pick whatever you like."

Blackie ran to a sleek, red convertible, his eyes shining. "What about this one?"

Mia raised an eyebrow, amused. "You think you can reach the pedals?"

Blackie gave her a deadpan look. "I'm a cat, Mia. I don't need pedals. I'll just ride in style."

Mia snickered. "Okay, Mr. Fancy Cat. That convertible, then?"

Blackie paused, glancing around the showroom. His gaze landed on a sleek black SUV with tinted windows. "Hmm... maybe something with more space. For my naps, of course."

Mia burst out laughing. "Of course. Priorities, right?"

Blackie nodded seriously. "A cat needs his comfort."

Mia shook her head. "Alright, big guy, the SUV it is. But don't expect me to let you drive it."

Blackie smirked, his tail flicking. "We'll see about that."

************

" THIS IS AWESOME!" Mia yelled as she made a sharp left on the road.

Blackie clutched the dashboard. " THIS ISN'T WHAT I HAD IN MIND!"

Mia laughed wildly as she sped down the road, her hands gripping the wheel as she leaned into the turn. "Come on, Blackie! You said you wanted to ride in style!"

Blackie's fur bristled as he flattened himself against the dashboard, eyes wide. "Yes, in style, not in danger!" he meowed, his voice panicked.

Mia shot him a mischievous grin, the wind whipping through her hair. "Relax! I've got this!" She swerved to avoid a pothole, and Blackie yelped.

"Remind me never to let you drive again!" Blackie grumbled, digging his claws into the seat as Mia zoomed down the road, clearly having the time of her life.

She glanced over at her cat. "Oh, come on, Bee. Don't be such a scaredy-cat!"

"I AM a cat!" Blackie snapped, his tail puffed up like a bottle brush. "And I don't have nine lives, Mia!"

Mia laughed harder, easing off the gas a little. "Alright, alright, I'll slow down. But admit it-you're having a little fun, aren't you?"

Blackie huffed, still clutching the seat with his claws. "Fun? I'll let you know when I've stopped seeing my life flash before my eyes."

**********

Mia and Blackie strolled into a cozy little restaurant that had a reputation for being cat-friendly. The atmosphere was warm, with soft lighting and cozy chairs, and the faint scent of freshly baked treats filled the air. Blackie's eyes lit up as he spotted a variety of dishes specifically catered to feline tastes.

"Yummy!" Blackie meowed, leaping onto a cushioned seat. "This place smells like heaven!"

Mia followed, settling into her own chair with a grin. She grabbed a biscuit from the table and took a bite. "Mmm, this is good!" she said with a satisfied nod.

A server, looking slightly confused, approached them. "Um, ma'am... that's actually a cat biscuit."

Mia shrugged, nonchalant. "So? All it needs is some tea." She took another bite, completely unfazed.

The server blinked, clearly unsure how to respond. "O-kay..." She said, giving Mia an odd look before turning back to Blackie, who was happily devouring his own meal.

Blackie glanced up at Mia between bites. "You sure you're not part cat?"

Mia smirked. "Maybe. Or maybe cat food is just underrated."

A few minutes later, another server approached with a plate of food. "Here you go," the server said, placing a juicy burger and crispy fries in front of Mia.

Mia's eyes widened in delight. "Oh, perfect! Thanks!"

Blackie watched with interest as Mia dug into the burger. After a few bites, Mia slid a piece of the burger and a few fries onto a small plate for Blackie. He sniffed at the food and then nibbled on a fry.

The server, noticing Blackie's taste test, frowned slightly. "Uh, ma'am. Those aren't exactly good for cats."

Blackie, chewing thoughtfully, looked up with a casual shrug. "I have this all the time at home."

Mia laughed and patted Blackie on the head. "See? He's a gourmet cat. Now, let's enjoy this!"

********

Mia and Blackie arrived at the cat bakery, a cozy place with a delightful array of treats specifically designed for feline taste buds. The aroma of freshly baked goods filled the air, and Blackie's eyes lit up at the sight of the colorful cakes and pastries.

Annie, who was the baker, looked up and greeted them with a warm smile. "Hey Mia, hey Blackie! What can I get for you today?"

Blackie's tail flicked with excitement. "I think we'll go for cake today!"

Annie raised an eyebrow playfully. "Cake, huh? What flavor are we thinking? Catnip or a real cake you love so much? Chocolate and strawberry, if I recall?"

Blackie grinned. " You read my mind!"

Annie went to the back and returned with a cake. " I planned ahead of time." She said with a smirk.

Mia rolled her eyes playfully. " Once again prepared, I see."

Annie chucked as she handed her friend the cake. " Ovi. Have you ever met me?"

" Yes. Yes I have."

" It's called SARCASM, Mia."

Mia groaned. " You know I want being with sarcasm!"

Annie threw her head back and laughed. " Totally.

Mia rolled her eyes again and set the cake down on a small table and watched as Blackie eagerly dug in, savoring every bite. "Enjoy your cake, Blackie. You deserve it.

" It's amazing!" Blackie said through a full mouth.

Annie, seeing the joy on Blackie's face, smiled contentedly. "I'm glad you like it. Happy birthday, Blackie!"

As they left the bakery, Blackie patted his full belly with satisfaction. "What a day! I couldn't have asked for anything better."

Mia chuckled, her eyes twinkling with happiness. "Glad you had fun, Bee. Happy birthday!"
