Mia wiped her brow as she set the last bowl of food down in front of a Siamese kitten named Oreo. " Here you are, little one." She cooed as she scratched the kitty's chin. " Enjoy!"

The kitten meowed gratefully and began to devour the food.

Blackie, who was watching, rolled his eyes. " Humans. So unpredictable. And so traitorous too."

Mia turned to her cat and raised a brow
." You realize that one this is Emma's basement two this is temporary and there I'm not bringing any cats home unless you want me to. You're still gonna be my cat, you know."

Blackie hopped down from the washing machine and rubbed against Mia's leg, purring. Mia bent down to scratch his chin.

Annie shot the duo a glance as she filled the water bowl. " Come on, you two. Snap out of it!"

Mia looked up. " I am snapped out of it!"

" Am not!"

" Well I just finished giving the kittens food!"

" Should we go see what Emma's up to?"

Mia nodded as she scooped her fluffy bumble of sarcasm and joy. " Let's go."

They went to the bathroom, and Mia hesitated as she looked at the door.

Then she pushed it.

As soon as she opened the door Annie, Mia, and poor Blackie were soaked.

" Oh! I'm so sorry, blackie! Are you okay?" Mia said hurriedly as she grabbed a towel and tried to wipe her cat dry.

Blackie hissed. " No, I'm not."

" What's going on out here?"

Mia turned to see Emma.

Except she was soaking wet.

" What happened?!* Annie exclaimed.

" I'm trying to get the cats to take a bath, but they won't. They will not stay still.

Mia smirked and handed the towel to Emma. " Dry him, will ya? I got this?"

Annie studied her. " You're not gonna do anything... Reckless, will you?"

Mia shook her head. " What? Me? Reckless? Nah."

She walked to the door, closed it, and sighed. " Okay, kitty cats. Let's do this."

And with that, it became quiet.

" What do you think going on in there?* Annie asked

Emma shrugged.

Then, they heard water.

And meows.

And wind.

And more meows.

When Mia came out of the bathroom, her hair was a mess, let alone the cats and the bathroom.

" What happened?!" Annie exclaimed as she threw her hands in front of her.

" I cleaned them."

" I can see that, but.... What!"

Mia blew a piece of hair off her face and grinned. " Well, you said they wouldn't stay still. They didn't need to with the strategy I used."

Annie peered into the bathroom and sighed. " Your strategy is to use your powers of the poor cats!"

" At least their fur is all fluffy!"

Emma let out a laugh. " This is amazing!"

Annie looked at Emma, surprised. " Really?"

" Uh huh!" Emma said, her black hair bouncing. " Our work is cut out for us!"

Mia put a hand around Emma and shot Annie a victory grin. " The cat whisperer has spoken."

" Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiine."

Emma laughed. " Come on, you two! Chill out!"

Mia sighed and looked at her cat, who was in front of the fan. " At least he's happy."

Suddenly, they heard a crash from the kitchen. Emma shot Mia a look, her grin vanishing.

" Who was that?" She asked as she grabbed a broom.

Annie looked at MIa urgently. " Wait! Where's the gang?"

" The gang? They're right behind me......." She trailed off when she realized they weren;t there.

" Wait, where are they?!" She exclaimed as she looked around.

It came again.

" You don't think they're trying to help, do you?" Annie said.

Mia gasped. " Oh!"

And with that, the trio took off running out of the room and ran across the hall to the mini kitchen, where they gasped.

Charizard and Pikachu were filling buckets of water in the sink, and Bulbasaur and Squirtle were making food.

Kinda.

I mean, there was fish everywhere ( Seriously, don't they know you don't cook fish on the stove with OIL?!), syrup dripping from the ceiling into a large bucket that was already half full, and..... The whole floor was covered with ICE!

" What hap- Wooah!" Mia yelped as she, Annie and Emma slid everywhere, bumping into walls.

" Ack!" Annie shrieked. '" Guys!"

Emma, though, was gliding gracefully on her feet, hands behind her back and eyes closed as she spun and jumped.

" Wow, Em!" Mia said as she slid on her sides, hand holding head ( LIke how Jay looked during that devourer episode when he was on the ground. I'll try to show you a pic.) " You're a pro!"

" TELL YOUR PETS TO PLEASE STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!" Annie yelled as she struggled to keep balance.

" CHAAAAAAAAAAAR!" the fire lizard directed its flame to the ice, and it cracked.

BUt it left the kitchen with puddles.

Which Mia cleared with her powers.

Annie sighed in relief. " How about?" She said, choosing her words carefully to avoid hurting Charmander's already crushed heart. " You four have some ice cream while we clean this up?"

Pikachu, Squirtle and Bulbasaur ran to the table as Emma served them the treat.

But Charmander was nowhere to be seen.

Then she saw a handle with no one behind it.

She peered over the counter and let out a chuckle of relief.

There Charmander was, trying to clean the mess. Mia scooped him up and brought him to the table. " Eat." She said firmly yet kindly.

" Char?"

Mia gave him a reassuring smile. " It's fine, Charmander. Relax.. We've got it under control."

Then she looked at her cat. " You can have some to, your highness."

Blackie purred as he hopped off the counter. " Don't mind if I do."

Mia rolled her eyes, and Emma grinned as she served him a bowl.

Then they realized something. It was quiet.

Too quiet.

" Wait...." Emma scrunched her face. " Why is it so quiet?*

Mia blinked and looked around. " Wait.... Where are the cats?!"

Annie gasped as she lifted her feet and spun. " We lost kittens!"

" A whole bunch of kittens!" Emma added as she sank to her feet. " What are we gonna do?"

Mia pursed her lips together and tapped her foot. " Hmmmmm....."

Suddenly she grinned. " Wait! We didn't lose them!"

And with that, she spun at her heel and ran up the stairs.

" Mimi, wait for us!" Emma yelled as she and Annie followed.

When they finally caught up to Mia, she grinned and pointed.

There, sitting on the bed, was Morro.

Surrounded by all the kittens

" Kittens!" He exclaimed as he hugged a few and smiled.

Mia's lips played a faint smile. " Your husband loves cats, doesn't me, Em?"

Emma nodded as she leaned on the door. " Yep. He loves them almost as much as he loves me and Chico."

At the sound of his name, the grey tabby looked up lazily and meowed.

Mia chuckled, watching the scene with Morro surrounded by kittens. "Well, looks like we found our missing kittens, and they've found the perfect cuddle buddy."

Morro, sitting cross-legged on the bed, grinned at them. "They're so fluffy! I couldn't resist." A couple of kittens nuzzled into his arms, purring loudly as they settled.

Emma laughed softly, crossing her arms as she leaned on the doorframe. "Morro, you're a natural cat magnet."

Annie joined in, shaking her head with a grin. "Guess we don't need to worry about the kittens anymore. They're in good hands."

Mia walked over to the bed, picking up one of the kittens that was trying to climb onto Morro's shoulder. "You better not teach them how to fly or we'll have a real problem on our hands." She gave him a playful wink.

Morro just laughed, his eyes bright with amusement. "No promises. They might end up learning a thing or two from me."

Blackie, who had followed them upstairs, leapt onto the bed and gave Morro an appraising look. "You might have won them over, but I'm still the boss here."

Morro raised an eyebrow at the cat but smiled. "Noted. You're still the king of the castle, Blackie."

Mia gave her cat a gentle pat. "Relax, Blackie, you'll always be number one."

Emma sighed happily, surveying the peaceful scene. "This turned out better than I expected. I thought we were going to have chaos all night long."

Annie nodded, sitting down on the floor and leaning against the bed. "Yeah, between the kitchen disaster and the missing kittens, I was ready for some serious damage control."

Mia smiled as she sat down beside her friends. "Sometimes, things just have a way of working out... even when you've got a bunch of crazy pets around."

Emma laughed. "Especially then."
