Something Wrong with Jay

Contains bloody heads and other disturbing stuff, so....

Also, I wrote this when I was 10, so......

Mia was walking back from the floral shop. Apparently there was a criminal there. But, for the duration she was there, there was no one. Suddenly, she saw a masked guy. Sensing something amiss, she created air steps and jumped onto them. An ice slide formed, and she slid down.

" Thanks, Zane!" She yelled, waving to the helicopter in the air.

Then, she heard something. Turning, she saw the criminal's minions on her air steps. Kai sprang in, melting the ice before they could slide down.

" Jay!" Mia yelled, jumping into the air and doing Spinjitzu. Jay, hearing his name, directed lightning to Mia, who used her powers to direct it at the criminal.

The criminal tried to stand, but Nya used her powers to make the curb slippery, and the criminal slid into Lloyd's open energy cage he had created.

Everyone on the sidewalk who had experienced their heroic act, started chanting their names. Especially Mia's name.

" Mia! Mia! Mia!"

" Mia! Mia! Wake up, Mia!"

" Mmm..." Mia mumbled.

" Mia, Jay's collapsed."

Mia jumped out of bed and into Cole's arms.

" What happened?" She asked, alert.

" Jay's fainted. We don't know what happened."

" Take me to him." Mia said, doing Spinjitzu and changing into her day clothes.

As Mia and Cole hurried to Jay's side, they found him lying on the couch, his face pale and his breathing shallow. Mia's heart clenched with worry at the sight of her friend in distress.

"Jay..." she murmured softly, kneeling beside him. "Can you hear me?"

Jay stirred slightly, his eyelids fluttering as he mumbled incomprehensible words. Mia exchanged a concerned glance with Cole, knowing that whatever had caused Jay's collapse must be serious.

"We need to get him to Stevie," Mia said firmly, determination shining in her eyes. "He'll know what to do."

With gentle hands, Mia and Cole carefully lifted Jay from the couch, supporting him between them as they made their way out of the room. The urgency of the situation weighed heavily on them as they hurried through the halls of their headquarters, their footsteps echoing in the quiet corridors.

Finally, they reached Stevie's office, where the doctor was waiting with a concerned expression on his face. Without hesitation, Mia explained the situation, her voice steady despite the fear and uncertainty gnawing at her heart.

"We found Jay collapsed," she said, her tone urgent. "He's been mumbling things, and we don't know what happened. We need your help, Stevie."

Stevie nodded gravely, his eyes focused as he examined Jay's condition. "Let's get him to the medical bay," he said decisively. "We'll run some tests and figure out what's going on."

After Jay was settled in a room, Stevie came in to do a medical exam on him.

After a few minutes of eerie quietness and pacing around the room, Miaturned to Stevie.

" How is he, Stevie?" she asked.

Her friend sighed, placing the otoscope back into his crisp, white coat pocket.

" He's showing no signs of improvement," he replied.

Mia sides weakly collapsing into a chair.

" This is most unusual." Zane noted, standing next to Jay's bed."He's never been out for this long."

" Yeah? Well he is now." Cole entered the room holding Jay's cracked sword.

"Oh my goodness!" Nya exclaimed, rushing to Jay's side.

"What?" Mia asked, alarmed.

" Look at his face!"

Jay's face, usually bright and cheerful, looked dull and faint.

"Zane, could you tell me what happened? It might give us a clue on what's going on with Jay."

Zane nodded, his expression thoughtful as he recalled the events leading up to Jay's current state. "We were on a mission," he began, "to confront a powerful adversary. Jay was leading the charge, as usual, his confidence unwavering. But during the battle, something changed. He seemed... distracted, almost as if he was hearing something none of us could."

Mia furrowed her brow, trying to piece together the puzzle. "Was there anything unusual about the enemy? Any strange abilities or tactics?"

Zane shook his head. "Nothing out of the ordinary, but the Mechanic had something in his hands. He pointed it to Jay. And then... Jay collapsed."

" Wait, what did you just say?" Mia interrupted Zane, her face full of curiosity.

"He fainted."

"No, before that."

" The Mechanic pointed something to him?" Zane said with a puzzled expression. " Why?"

Without warning Mia grabbed Stevie by the shoulders.

"Did you get his report?" she asked.

Yes, but I couldn't make any sense of it."

"Could you please bring it to me? I might be able to make sense of it."

Stevie nodded, and rushed out of the room, while the others pieced their findings together.

Nya looked at Jay with concern etched on her face. "It's like he's trapped in his own mind," she murmured.

Cole examined the cracked sword in his hand, his expression grim. "This sword," he said slowly, "it took a direct hit during the battle. I've never seen anything like it. It's almost as if it absorbed the dark energy."

Mia's eyes widened as realization dawned on her. "Do you think Jay's condition could be linked to the sword? And the evilness it absorbed?"

Zane nodded gravely. "It's a possibility. But we'll need to find out more about this dark energy and how it's affecting him. Otherwise, we may lose Jay for good."

" What exactly happened, Zane?" Mia asked, turning to him.

"We approached the enemy stronghold under the cover of night," Zane began. "Jay led the way, his determination driving us forward. As we neared the perimeter, we encountered the first line of defense. Jay dispatched them swiftly, his sword flashing in the moonlight."

Mia listened intently, absorbing every word as Zane continued to narrate the mission. She interrupted occasionally to ask for clarification or additional details, her mind working overtime to connect the dots.

"Then we encountered the Mechanic," Zane continued. "He was a formidable opponent, his machines guarding the entrance to the stronghold. Jay engaged him directly, but something seemed off. It was as if the Mechanic knew exactly how to exploit Jay's weaknesses."

Mia's brow furrowed as she processed the information. "And what happened next?"

Zane hesitated, the memory still fresh in his mind. "The Mechanic pointed something at Jay," he recalled. "A device of some sort. It emitted a strange energy, and Jay... he seemed to freeze for a moment before collapsing."

Mia's eyes widened in realization. "That's it," she murmured. "The Mechanic's device must be the key to understanding what happened to Jay."

With newfound determination, Mia turned to Stevie, who was holding the report in his hands. "Let me see that," she said firmly.

Stevie handed her the report, and Mia poured over it with intense focus, analyzing every detail. She cross-referenced it with Zane's account, searching for any clues that might shed light on Jay's condition.

Mia's brow furrowed in confusion as she scanned the report. "Sync levels are good, heart rate is okay... how happy you are?!" she muttered incredulously, her voice tinged with disbelief.

Turning to Stevie with a bewildered expression, Mia demanded, "When did we start including feelings in the reports?"

Stevie's face paled as he realized the gravity of the situation. "This isn't right," he muttered, snatching the reports from Mia's hands. "There must be some mistake."

Mia's mind raced as she tried to make sense of the bizarre information in front of her. "So the nurses gave him the medicine on the list..." she mumbled to herself, her voice trailing off as a sudden realization struck her.

Then, without hesitation, Mia's voice rang out with authority, commanding action. "Take him to the ER! Stat!" she yelled, her tone urgent and decisive.

Instantly, the room sprung into action. The ninja team mobilized swiftly, lifting Jay's unconscious body onto a stretcher and rushing through the halls of the facility towards the emergency room.

Inside the emergency room, Stevie furrowed his brow as he reviewed the test results once more. "Hmm... I'll run the tests again, just to be sure," he muttered to himself, determined to uncover the cause of Jay's mysterious collapse.

Meanwhile, the rest of the ninja gathered outside, their stomachs rumbling with hunger after the adrenaline-filled events of the day. "I don't know about you guys, but I could really go for some sushi," Nya suggested with a grin.

Cole chuckled, crossing his arms with a smirk. "Sorry, my body is a temple," he declared proudly.

Mia rolled her eyes, playfully swatting his arm. "Oh, stop that! You're getting thin," she teased, her lips quivering into a mischievous smile. "And today is a special occasion."

With a dramatic gasp, Cole feigned offense, clutching his chest dramatically. "Thin? Me? Never!" he exclaimed before promptly dashing out of the room.

The rest of the ninja burst into laughter at Cole's exaggerated reaction. "Well, I guess we'll have to go supervise him," Zane remarked with a chuckle.

"Absolutely," Kai agreed, a twinkle of mischief in his eyes. "Can't let him get into too much trouble on an empty stomach."

As the ninja prepared to head out for food, Mia turned to Lloyd with a grin. "Hey, Lloyd, could you do me a favor?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

"Sure, Mia. What do you need?" Lloyd replied, ever eager to help.

Mia leaned in conspiratorially. "I need you to get me something delicious," she said with a wink. "And while you're at it, keep an eye on Cole. Make sure he doesn't eat too much cake. We don't want him getting a sugar rush."

Lloyd nodded, understanding the importance of Mia's request. "Consider it done," he said with a determined nod before setting off on his mission to procure food for the team.

Meanwhile, Mia couldn't help but chuckle to herself as she imagined Cole's reaction to being monitored for his cake consumption. With any luck, Lloyd's vigilant supervision would prevent any sugary mishaps. Or not. Cole was unpredictable.

Then, she turned back to Jay. His eyes were closed, and his breath was coming out fast.

" Stevie?" Mia called cautiously.

No one answered.

Mia decided that it was best to practice her training rather than panicking. She turned to a wall, raised both hands, and faced them at the wall. Two small balls rose from the side table and were sent flying to the wall, which caused a chain reaction. The balls were so bouncy that they hit one wall, then flew to the other. Mia had to duck and then turn to the direction of the balls, to avoid being hit.

" What in the name of Ninjago is happening around here?" Zane asked, entering the room with an apple.

" Training!" Mia shouted, raising her hands to catch the balls.

" Seemed more like a disaster had hit. What were those balls doing with that much force, anyway?"

" I was practicing how to send something to a criminal. And I miiiiiight have added too much force."

Mia sighed wearily as she collapsed into a nearby chair, the chaos of her training mishap finally catching up to her. Zane, ever the thoughtful friend, approached her with an apple in hand, offering it to her with a sympathetic smile.

"Here, Mia. Maybe a snack will help," Zane suggested, holding out the apple.

Mia accepted the apple with gratitude, taking a bite as she leaned back in the chair. "I just want this to be over," she muttered, her frustration evident in her voice.

As if on cue, Lloyd entered the room, carrying a tray with steaming cups of coffee. Mia's eyes widened in surprise at the sight of the coffee, her exhaustion momentarily forgotten.

"Who's that for?" she asked, gesturing to the tray in Lloyd's hands.

Lloyd grinned sheepishly. "Me," he admitted. "I figured we could all use a pick-me-up after today's... events."

Mia couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the sight of so much coffee. "That much?!" she exclaimed, surprised by Lloyd's apparent caffeine consumption.

Before Lloyd could respond, Cole burst into the room, cake smeared all over his face and even in his hair. Mia's jaw dropped in disbelief at the sight, her eyes darting accusingly between Cole and Lloyd.

"LLOYD?! I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU NOT TO LET HIM EAT THAT MUCH!!?" she exclaimed, her voice rising in disbelief at the chaotic scene unfolding before her.

Lloyd offered a sheepish explanation, "I needed the extra caffeine boost, Mia."

Mia sighed in resignation, feeling utterly drained from the day's events. Without another word, she simply buried her face into the hospital bed, seeking a moment of solace from the chaos that seemed to follow them relentlessly.

Stevie entered theroom and glanced at her.

"Is she okay?" he asked, his voice filled with worry as he approached Mia's bedside.

Mia weakly gave him a thumbs-up, trying to reassure him despite her exasperation. Then, with a resigned sigh, she buried her face into the bed, seeking solace in its comforting embrace.

Suddenly, the sound of the apple rattling and hitting her on the head disrupted the moment of quiet. Mia snapped at the apple, muttering to herself in annoyance as she swatted it away.

The unexpected outburst caught everyone's attention, and they glanced at Mia with raised eyebrows and bemused expressions, unsure of how to react to her sudden display of frustration.

"Mia, are you... okay?" Zane ventured cautiously, concern etched in his voice.

Mia huffed irritably, her patience wearing thin. "I'm fine," she muttered, her tone sharp with frustration. "Just... annoyed by this whole situation."

"Where are the reports?" she asked, her tone sharp and impatient. "I need to see them."

As the papers were handed to her, Mia's brows furrowed in frustration. She flipped through them rapidly, her annoyance mounting with each incomprehensible detail.

"None of this makes sense!" she exclaimed, throwing the papers aside in frustration. "How can his stamina be at 100 if he's clearly resting? Obviously, something's wrong with the machine."

Suddenly, realization dawned on Mia as she connected the dots. "Wait a minute," she murmured, her eyes widening with understanding. "What if it's not the machine that's malfunctioning... but something else?"

She paused, gathering her thoughts. "The machine can't figure it out because he's a ninja! Ninja blood is different from human! Oh gosh!"

Turning to Zane with a sense of urgency, she asked, "Zane, what's 100 divided by 19.99999?"

Zane quickly calculated the answer, his brow furrowing in concentration. "It's approximately 5," he replied, his tone thoughtful.

"Okay... multiply that by eight," Mia instructed, her voice tinged with anticipation.

Zane swiftly performed the calculation, his eyes widening in realization. "It's 40," he confirmed.

Mia's breath caught in her throat as she processed the implications of the numbers. "Oh gosh," she whispered, the weight of her revelation sinking in.

" What should we do?" Zane asked, but Mia had already stepped outside. Her frustration boiled over, she took a deep breath before unleashing a primal yell that echoed through the air. Her eyes glowed with an intense pink hue, a stark contrast against the darkening sky.

"Is she okay?" Kai asked, concern etched on his face as he watched Mia's display of power.

Cole shook his head, his brow furrowed in worry. "I don't think so," he replied, his voice tense. "Ninja eyes don't just light up like that. It's only when we're injured or something."

Meanwhile, Mia's anger manifested into physical force as she lifted objects around her with ease, her telekinetic powers on full display. With a flick of her wrist, she sent debris flying through the air before abruptly throwing them down with a resounding crash.

But Mia wasn't finished yet. With a determined expression, she lifted herself into the air, her gaze fixed on the Mechanic's house in the distance. With a primal roar, she summoned all her strength and power, channeling it into her outstretched hands as she focused on the target before her.

With a mighty heave, Mia exerted her telekinetic force, causing the Mechanic's house to tremble and shake violently. The ground rumbled beneath her feet as the structure groaned under the immense pressure.

Seeing Mia's distress, Cole and Kai rushed to her side, their concern evident as they watched her unleash her fury upon the unsuspecting building. "Mia, stop!" Kai shouted over the cacophony, his voice barely audible above the chaos.

Nya, who had been observing from a distance, approached the scene with a sense of urgency. "It's Jay," she interjected, her voice cutting through the chaos. "They're connected."

Cole's brow furrowed in confusion as he turned to Nya. "How does that fit in?" he asked, his voice tinged with concern.

Nya took a moment to collect her thoughts before responding, her gaze flickering between Mia's intense display of power and the Mechanic's house being shaken to its core. "Think about it," she explained, her voice calm but urgent. "Ever since Jay collapsed, Mia's been on edge. And now, with her powers manifesting like this, it's clear that something's not right."

Cole nodded slowly, beginning to piece together the puzzle. "So you're saying... Jay's condition is affecting Mia?" he ventured, his eyes widening with realization.

Nya nodded, her expression grave. "Exactly. Whatever's happening to Jay is somehow linked to Mia's powers. They're connected on a deeper level than we realized."

As Mia's emotions surged, her declaration hung in the air like a solemn vow. "Jay is my brother. I will uncover whatever is happening, no matter what!" she proclaimed, her voice filled with determination.

Before her fervor could escalate further, Lloyd rushed out, his eyes reflecting concern as he approached Mia. With a gentle touch, he reached out to calm her down, his soothing presence a balm to her frayed nerves.

"What if we direct this energy to helping Jay?" he suggested, his voice tinged with hope.

Mia nodded, acknowledging the wisdom in Lloyd's words. "Good point," she agreed, her mind already racing with ideas.

However, in her eagerness to help Jay, Mia's interpretation of Lloyd's suggestion took a somewhat unconventional turn. With a determined expression, she gathered various medical supplies and equipment, levitating them with her telekinetic powers.

Cole observed Mia's actions with a furrowed brow, his concern evident as he approached Lloyd. "Is it normal for a person to be carrying that many medications?" he asked quietly, his voice laced with worry.

Kai shook his head solemnly, his eyes following Mia's levitating supplies with unease. "No. No, it's not," he replied, his tone tinged with apprehension at the sight of their friend's uncharacteristic behavior.

Stevie's eyes widened in disbelief as he took in the assortment of medication Mia had gathered. "Where did you get all that?" he asked in a quiet voice, his concern evident.

Mia's response was matter-of-fact. "From the monastery," she stated simply, her tone casual despite the gravity of the situation.

Stevie's eyebrows shot up in surprise at her answer, but before he could respond, Mia added with a sheepish grin, "And Master Wu's room."

A moment later, Lloyd's phone rang, and he answered with a puzzled expression. "Lloyd? Where's my medicine? I think I misplaced it." Master Wu asked, his voice tinged with confusion.

Lloyd's nervous laughter echoed in the room as he realized the truth. "With Mia...?" he trailed off, his eyes widening in realization.

Meanwhile, Mia was already busy brewing something in a makeshift concoction. She added all the medications she had gathered, along with a few fruits, a piece of her hair, and even some bread for good measure.

"This is getting silly," Cole remarked, his tone exasperated as he watched Mia's unconventional approach to medical care.

Ignoring Cole's comment, Mia approached Jay, sitting him up and feeding him the strange potion she had created. It was an ugly sight, and despite Mia's efforts, Jay remained unconscious.

Kai couldn't bear to watch, his stomach turning at the sight of the concoction. "I'm going to the bathroom," he declared, his voice strained.

Cole chuckled softly, offering his support to his friend. "You're not alone, bud," he said, patting Kai on the back as they both turned away from the bizarre scene unfolding before them.

As Mia finished her attempt to revive Jay with her unconventional potion, she looked around the room, searching for her fellow ninja. Hearing the toilet flush, she turned to see Lloyd emerging from the bathroom.

"Oh no, I have to do it again," Mia exclaimed, her frustration evident as she realized her efforts might have been in vain.

Lloyd's eyes widened in horror at the prospect. "No!" he yelled, his voice echoing in the room.

Mia glanced at Lloyd, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes as she teased him. "I'm joking, dear boy," she said with a playful grin, her laughter ringing out like chimes in the air.

Just then, Jay stirred, his eyelids fluttering as he began to regain consciousness. Mia wasted no time, rushing to his side and gently shaking him, urging him to wake up.

Stevie approached them, his expression calm and reassuring. "He'll get the help he needs at Mistake's tea shop," he assured Mia, his voice steady with confidence in their plan to aid their friend.

Mia and the others took Jay to Mistake's tea shop, where she waited patiently for them.

" Ah, I've been waiting for you." She said mysteriously, holding the tea which was needed to help Jay. " Come in the back, and I will give it to him."

As Mistake administered the tea and offered her advice, Mia's heart sank with worry. "Wait for a night. If he does not stir, we will try again," Mistake's words echoed in her mind as she led her team to a room Mistake had provided, complete with mattresses for their rest.

Despite the exhaustion weighing heavily on her, Mia found sleep elusive. Tossing and turning, her thoughts consumed by Jay's condition. Eventually, she couldn't bear it any longer and slipped out of her room, her determination guiding her steps to Mistake's side once more.

"Mistake," Mia's voice was urgent as she approached the wise tea shop owner. "Can we try again? Just with me?"

Mistake regarded Mia with a knowing gaze, understanding the depth of her concern. "That will drain most of your energy," she warned gently.

Mia didn't hesitate. "Do it," she insisted, her resolve unwavering.

With a nod from Mistake, Mia braced herself, ready to channel all her powers into waking Jay. Whatever the cost, she was determined to bring her brother back from the brink of unconsciousness.

Mistake nodded solemnly, acknowledging Mia's request. "Very well, Mia. But be cautious. Your powers may be drained, but your determination is strong."

Mistake fed the tea to Jay once more, this time with Mia's hands laid on him. Her eyes glowed, but she pushed the feeling aside.

" The tea is done." Mistake said, retreating the cup from his lips. Mia pointed to a cup, and levitated it.

" Good. I still have my powers." She said approvingly.

Then, in the distance, she heard the unmistakable sound of a villain lurking nearby.

" I sense your desire to face the villain. Remember, stay vigilant, and think out of the box." Mistake advised.

Mia nodded in understanding, her grip tightening on the sword she had kept by her side. With a determined expression, she steeled herself for what lay ahead.

The rest of the ninja remained asleep, unaware of the danger lurking just beyond their walls. But Mia was ready to confront it head-on, her determination unwavering as she ventured out alone into the night.

Mia faced the villain with steely resolve, her instincts guiding her every move as they clashed in a fierce battle. With swift and precise strikes, she fought with all her might, determined to protect her friends and defeat the threat before her.

In a moment of desperation, Mia unleashed a powerful move, something ugly and ruthless, catching the villain off guard. With a decisive blow, she incapacitated him, rendering him unable to continue the fight.

As the rest of the ninja emerged from their rooms, their expressions a mix of concern and determination, Cole wasted no time in asking the question on everyone's mind. "Where's the villain?" he inquired, scanning the area for any sign of danger.

Mia's response was simple but filled with conviction. "Done," she stated firmly, her gaze unwavering as she surveyed the scene before her.

Kai's brow furrowed in confusion. "Where is he?" he pressed, his voice tinged with urgency.

In response, Mia lifted something into the air with her telekinetic powers, revealing a bloody head.

Immediately, everyone gasped and covered their eyes.

" I'm never going to forget that, now." Lloyd moaned. Cole had run off into the bushes, Kai by his side. Only Zane remained calm. He started laughing.

Lloyd's voice cut through the tension, his confusion evident as he asked, "Why are you laughing, Zane?"

Zane paused, his laughter fading as he considered the question. "I don't know," he admitted, a hint of perplexity in his tone. "My emotion meter must be acting up."

Mistake's voice broke through the tension, her tone laced with concern as she asked, "What are you going to do with that?"

Mia's response was firm and resolute. "Use it like a trophy," she declared, her voice steady despite the gravity of her words.

As Nya emerged from the shadows, her eyes widened in shock and disbelief at the sight before her. A gasp escaped her lips, betraying her horror at the gruesome display.

"Let's leave that outside for today," she suggested, her tone gentle but firm. "We need to rest."

The others nodded in agreement, relieved to put the grisly sight behind them, at least for the time being. With heavy hearts and weary bodies, they followed Nya's lead, leaving the gruesome trophy behind as they retreated to the safety and comfort of their makeshift beds.

In the morning, Mia heard a groan. Her eyes fluttered open, and she ran to her brother.

He was tossing on the bed.

" He's alive." she whispered. Then, she proclaimed, " HE'S ALIVE!"
