Shockwave Empire

" what happened to just having a simple wedding?!" Annie asked as she smothered her long, white gown that trailed Everytime she moved. She wore a tiara in her hair, complete with a white rose.

" What do you mean, ' simple '?! You thought I was gonna give you, my BFF, a simple wedding?! Oh, nononono it doesn't work like that."

.Annie groaned. " Where's my future husband?"

" Helping Mr. Dyer with his suit."

A sinking feeling came into Annie's stomach. " Mia?"

" What?"

" How many people are coming?*

Mia flipped her chart. " Only Mr Dyer, the ninja, and a bunch of other people Unagami held captive."

Annie chocked. " How can you say that so calmly?!"

" Because it's nothing new. Now, be a dear and get your flowers. We need a photo session!"

Annie sighed and walked to the table. On the way, the ballroom door was slightly ajar, and no one was around. So Annie sneaked to it and peeked in.

She almost screamed.

The walls were blue, the furniture was light red, and the decorations were..... Beyond anything Annie has ever seen.

" Woah!" She breathed.

" Like it?" Mia said from behind her.

Annie jumped and tried to steady herself. " Yeah, it's cool and all, but remind me why I'm wearing 47394703 inch heels?"

" Because you're fab."

Annie blushes. " Thanks, but I might trip."

" Your husband will catch you."

Unagami happened to step in at that exact moment. He was wearing a red coat, white shirt and red tie. On his feet were dashing dress shoes.

" Uh, Annie. What happened?!" He asked as he looked up.

Dyer, who was trailing behind Unagami, almost fainted.

" What are you doing up there?!" He managed to say.

" Mia." Is all that Annie said.

Unagami looked at Mia with fascination. " You're good."

Mia blushes. " Thanks. My husband, one of your biggest fans, is trying to figure out the party favors. I offered, but-"

" We all declined, saying you had too much work." Annie interrupted.

" Yes, but the real reason is because they think I stress too much." Mia continued.

" Because it's true."

Mia glared at Annie. " You want this wedding or not?*

Annie held her hands up. " Yes, I do."

" Good. Because I already bought the cookies dough and chocolate cake with blue frosting and white flowers._

" How.... How many layers?"

" Ten. Why?"

Unagami choked. " Pardon?"

Mia grinned mischievously at Unagami's reaction. "You heard me right. Ten layers. It's going to be a showstopper, just like this wedding."

Annie's eyes widened in disbelief. "Ten layers? Mia, that's... that's a lot of cake!"

Mia waved her hand dismissively. "Nonsense. It's just the right amount for a wedding of this magnitude. Plus, think of the photos! You'll have the most epic wedding album ever."

Unagami shook his head, still trying to process the sheer extravagance of it all. "I'm... impressed, Mia. I didn't think anyone could outdo what I envisioned, but you've surpassed my wildest expectations."

Dyer, who had finally regained his composure, nodded in agreement. "Indeed. This wedding will be the talk of the century."

Annie, still feeling overwhelmed by the grandeur of it all, took a deep breath. "Okay, okay. I just need to get through this without falling over in these ridiculous heels."

Mia laughed and gave Annie a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "You'll be fine. Just focus on your husband, and everything else will fall into place."

Unagami stepped forward, offering Annie his arm. "Allow me to escort you to your final preparations. I think we both could use a moment to collect ourselves before the big event."

Annie smiled gratefully and took his arm, feeling a bit more at ease. "Thank you, Unagami. And Mia... thank you for everything. I may be freaking out a little, but I know you've put your heart into this, and I appreciate it."

Mia beamed, her eyes shining with pride. "Of course, Annie. You deserve the best, and I'm just glad I could help make your day special."

As Unagami led Annie out of the ballroom, Dyer turned to Mia with a smile. "You've really outdone yourself, Mia. This wedding will be unforgettable."

Mia nodded, a satisfied smile on her face. "That's the plan. Now, let's make sure everything goes off without a hitch."

With that, Mia turned on her heel and headed off to oversee the final details, her mind racing with all the last-minute tasks she needed to check off her list. The day was going to be perfect, and nothing would stop her from making sure of it.

------------
A few minutes later, Mia found Annie peacefully sipping tea..with a smirk, she decided to end it

" Did you write your email on the cards?" She asked casually, looking at her clipboard.

Annie nearly choked on her tea as she processed Mia's question. "What?! Email address? On the cards? I didn't even know that was a thing!"

Mia rolled her eyes playfully, hands on her hips. "Of course it's a thing! How else are people supposed to send you all the lovely photos and well-wishes after the wedding?"

Annie set her cup down, still looking flustered. "Mia, I was so caught up in everything else, I didn't even think about that! Are you telling me I have to go through all those cards and write my email address on each one?"

Mia chuckled. "Not just your email, silly. Also, your husband's! But don't worry, I've got you covered. I already printed out these cute little stickers with your email addresses on them. All you have to do is stick them on."

Annie let out a sigh of relief. "You really do think of everything, don't you?"

Mia grinned, handing over a few sheets of stickers. "That's why you keep me around. Now, get sticking! We've got a wedding to run."

Annie shook her head, a smile tugging at her lips as she took the stickers. "You know, I don't know what I'd do without you, Mia."

Mia winked. "Probably end up with a simple wedding."

Annie laughed, finally relaxing. "And we can't have that, can we?"

Mia shook her head with a mock serious expression. "Absolutely not."

Mia found Unagami adjusting his tie in the mirror, looking surprisingly calm given the chaotic preparations going on around them. She approached him with a curious look.

"Unagami, did you take a shower?" Mia asked, scrutinizing him.

Unagami glanced at her, slightly puzzled. "Yeah...? Of course, I did. Why?"

Mia leaned in a bit closer, sniffing the air around him. "Good. But... did you wear lady perfume?"

Unagami's eyes widened in shock. "What?! Lady perfume? No! Why would I-"

He stopped mid-sentence, realizing she might be teasing him. "Mia, are you messing with me?"

Mia grinned mischievously. "Maybe. But you've got to admit, with how fancy everything is, I wouldn't be surprised if someone tried to fancy you up even more."

Unagami shook his head, laughing despite himself. "I should've known you were joking. But seriously, no lady perfume here-just my usual cologne."

Mia patted his shoulder, still smiling. "Good to know. But if anyone does try to sneak some on you, just let me know. I've got your back."

Unagami chuckled, relieved. "I'll keep that in mind. Thanks, Mia."

Mia winked. "Anytime."

As they were making the final preparation, the towering wedding cake was rolled into the room, catching everyone's attention. It was an elaborate creation, with elegant white flowers cascading down its side and a blue frosting that shimmered in the light.

Annie's jaw dropped as she counted the layers-40 in total. She turned to Mia, incredulous. "Mia, you said it had ten layers!"

Mia, unable to hide her mischievous grin, shrugged innocently. "Oops."

Annie threw her hands up in the air, half exasperated and half amused. "Oops? Mia, this is... this is a mountain of a cake!"

Mia laughed, clearly pleased with the surprise. "Well, I figured if we were going big, we might as well go really big. Plus, more cake means more to enjoy, right?"

Annie shook her head, trying not to smile. "You're impossible, you know that?"

Mia beamed. "But you love me for it."

Annie sighed, her frustration giving way to laughter. "Yeah, yeah, I do. But you're cutting the first slice after me and Unagami."

Mia winked. "Deal."

Annie grabbed the bouquet of roses, admiring them for a moment before Mia swooped in with a determined look. "Alright, Annie, it's time for poses!" Mia declared with enthusiasm.

Annie, still getting used to her towering heels, gave Mia a wary look. "What kind of poses?"

Mia grinned mischievously, clearly up to something. "Let's start simple. How about balancing on one foot?"

Annie's eyes widened. "Mia, I'm wearing heels the size of skyscrapers!"

But Mia was already adjusting Annie's stance, making her lift one foot slightly off the ground. Annie wobbled, trying to keep her balance as Mia continued to arrange her like a mannequin. "Perfect! Now hold that pose!" Mia said, stepping back to snap a photo.

Annie gritted her teeth, struggling to keep steady. "Mia, I swear, if I fall over, I'm blaming you."

Mia laughed, clearly enjoying herself. "Oh, come on, it's all for the memories! Now try holding the roses above your head-like this!"

Annie gave her a look of sheer disbelief but complied, shakily lifting the bouquet. "You do realize this is not going to end well, right?"

Mia snapped a few more photos, her face lighting up with excitement. "Nonsense! You look fabulous! Okay, now try a twirl-"

Annie's balance finally gave out as she attempted the twirl, and she stumbled forward, nearly toppling over. Mia rushed to her side, barely containing her laughter as she helped Annie regain her footing. "Okay, maybe we'll skip the twirl."

Annie shot her a playful glare. "You think?"

Mia grinned sheepishly. "Sorry! But hey, you nailed those other poses! You're going to look amazing in these photos."

Annie sighed, shaking her head with a small smile. "You're lucky I love you, Mia."

" Or what?"

Annie smirked. " Or you would have been in heaven."

Mia threw her head back and laughed. " You're lucky you have me to plan this wedding, Ann."

Annie stuck her tongue out. " Yeah yeah, Mia."

Mia approached Mr. Dyer with a confident stride, her mind already buzzing with the next task. "Okay, Mr. Dyer," she said, a playful glint in her eyes, "you need to walk Unagami down the carpet, and I want you to do it with style."

Mr. Dyer raised an eyebrow, looking slightly puzzled. "Style? What do you mean?"

Without missing a beat, Mia demonstrated by taking long, exaggerated steps, placing one foot directly in front of the other, with her hand firmly planted on her hip. She strutted down an imaginary runway, flipping her hair at the end with a flourish. "Like this! Your turn!"

Mr. Dyer blinked, watching her with a mixture of amusement and disbelief. "You want me to walk like that?"

Mia nodded enthusiastically. "Exactly! It's all about confidence and flair. Come on, give it a try!"

Unagami, who had been watching nearby, suppressed a chuckle. "I think this might be interesting."

With a resigned sigh, Mr. Dyer gave in to Mia's insistence. He took a deep breath, straightened his posture, and attempted to mimic Mia's exaggerated steps. He took a few long strides, trying to channel his inner runway model, but it ended up being more awkward than stylish. His hand hovered uncertainly at his side before he half-heartedly placed it on his hip.

Mia clapped her hands in encouragement. "That's it! You're doing great!"

Unagami couldn't hold back his laughter any longer, and even Mr. Dyer cracked a smile as he reached the end of his makeshift runway. "I feel ridiculous," he admitted, shaking his head.

Mia grinned widely. "But you look fabulous! And that's what matters. Now, just keep that up when you're walking Unagami down the carpet."

Mr. Dyer chuckled, giving Unagami a playful nudge. "Well, I hope you're ready to strut your stuff, too."

Unagami smirked, shrugging his shoulders. "With Mia as our coach, I'm sure we'll both be runway-ready in no time."

The hour of the wedding had finally arrived, and everything was coming together just as Mia had envisioned-or at least, that was the plan. The grand ballroom was filled with guests, all eagerly awaiting the moment when Annie would walk down the aisle. The decorations sparkled, the music played softly in the background, and the massive, 40 -layer cake stood proudly at the center of the reception area.

As the ceremony began, Mia stood near the front, making sure everything was going smoothly. Annie appeared at the entrance in her stunning gown, looking every bit the radiant bride. But as she started to walk, there was a slight problem.

Annie, in her towering heels and long gown, began to waddle awkwardly down the aisle, her steps more of a shuffle than the graceful glide Mia had been hoping for. Her face was a mix of concentration and panic as she tried to maintain her balance.

Mia's eyes widened in horror, and she quickly whispered loudly enough for Annie to hear, "Lady-like, Annie! Be a lady! Walk like a lady!"

Annie shot Mia a look that was a mix of exasperation and amusement, but she did her best to comply. She straightened up and attempted to take smaller, more elegant steps. However, her heels caught on the hem of her gown, and she nearly stumbled.

"Graceful, Annie, graceful!" Mia hissed, trying not to let her panic show too much.

Annie took a deep breath and adjusted her steps, focusing on walking as gracefully as possible. But with every step, she could feel the eyes of the guests on her, and the pressure only made her more nervous.

As she finally made her way to the front, where her soon-to-be husband would stand, waiting with a wide grin. Annie let out a sigh of relief. She had made it without falling flat on her face, and that was a victory in itself.

Mia, ever the perfectionist, whispered one last piece of advice as Annie took her place. "Remember, Annie, you're the bride. Own it!"

Annie nodded, finally feeling the nerves start to fade. Despite the complications, she was standing there, ready to marry the love of her life, and that was all that mattered.

The guests' murmurs filled the grand ballroom as Unagami and Dyer prepared to make their entrance. The elaborate decorations sparkled under the soft lights, and the massive 48-layer cake stood proudly at the edge of the room, but all eyes were on the pair making their way down the aisle.

Unagami, dressed in a dashing red coat and crisp white shirt, was the epitome of calm elegance. He walked with a confident stride, his red tie swinging slightly with each step. Beside him, Dyer seemed a bit out of place in his formal suit, looking slightly unsure as he followed Unagami.

As they reached the entrance, Mia, ever the perfectionist, eyed them critically. She noticed Dyer's awkward gait and quickly moved to correct it.

"Dyer, come on!" Mia hissed, barely containing her frustration. "Walk like a person, not a monkey!"

Dyer looked up, confused and slightly embarrassed. "What do you mean?"

Mia demonstrated with exaggerated steps, striding confidently with her hand on her hip, channeling a model's grace. "Like this! Try it!"

Dyer attempted to mimic the model walk but stumbled a bit, clearly out of his element. Mia watched, her eyes narrowing in concentration. She leaned in, her voice a harsh whisper. "Smile, Mr. Dyer, smile! It's supposed to look natural!"

Dyer managed a weak smile, but it seemed more like a grimace. Unagami, noticing the exchange, raised an eyebrow but kept his composure, a hint of amusement in his eyes.

Mia, not yet satisfied, hovered around Dyer, giving him last-minute instructions. "Straighten your shoulders, keep your head up, and remember to smile!"

Dyer nodded, trying his best to follow Mia's rapid-fire commands. He adjusted his posture and attempted to smile more naturally. Unagami gave him a reassuring nod, which helped to calm Dyer's nerves a bit.

As the pair finally began their walk down the aisle, Mia's eyes followed every step closely. The guests watched with rapt attention, and Dyer's steps began to look more confident as he got into the rhythm. He walked like a soldier, his movements precise and controlled, though the smile still looked a bit strained.

Mia's nerves eased slightly as she saw the progress. "That's it, Dyer! Keep it up!" she whispered, more encouragingly this time.

Unagami, maintaining his composed demeanor, glanced over at Mia and winked. "You've got quite the talent for this, Mia."

Mia blushed, trying to hide her satisfaction. "Just making sure everything goes according to plan."

As Dyer and Unagami reached the front, the guests erupted into polite applause. Dyer, though still a bit stiff, seemed relieved to be done with his entrance. He glanced at Unagami and then at Mia, offering a more genuine smile.

Mia gave him an approving nod. "Much better. Now, let's get this wedding started!"

As the ceremony continued, it was time for the vows. Dyer, standing confidently, began to recite his vows with a heartfelt tone, his words flowing smoothly. Unagami, however, appeared to struggle, his usually composed demeanor giving way to a hint of nervousness.

Unagami cleared his throat and began, "I, Unagami, promise to..." But his voice faltered, and he stumbled over the words. He tried again, but his nerves seemed to get the better of him. "I, um, promise to... be there..."

Mia, watching from the side, felt a wave of frustration mixed with concern. She stepped closer, her voice carrying a sharp edge of urgency. "Unagami, say it like you mean it!"

Unagami's eyes widened slightly at the reprimand but nodded, taking a deep breath. He looked at Dyer, trying to find his focus. "Right... Okay." He cleared his throat again, his voice firming up. "I, Unagami, promise to always support and cherish you, through every challenge and joy."

He glanced over at Mia, who gave him an encouraging nod. "Good, now continue," she whispered, more gently this time.

Unagami, with renewed determination, continued. "I promise to stand by your side, to be your rock, and to love you with all my heart. You are my everything."

Mia, relieved, gave Unagami a small thumbs-up from the side. "Much better."

Then, it was Annie's turn to recite her vows. She stepped forward with a radiant smile, her long white gown trailing gracefully behind her. She cleared her throat and looked at Unagami, her eyes twinkling with a mix of excitement and love.

Annie began, her voice brimming with enthusiasm. "Unagami, from the moment we met, I knew you were the one for me. I promise to always be your partner in every adventure, to laugh with you in the good times and support you through the challenges."

Mia, standing just off to the side, observed the scene with a critical eye. Her eyes narrowed as she noticed Annie's overly cheerful demeanor. She couldn't help but feel it clashed with the somber tone she had hoped for the ceremony.

"Look gloomy, Annie!" Mia hissed under her breath, though she tried to soften the command. "But not too much."

Annie shot Mia a quick, puzzled glance but continued with her vows, adjusting her tone slightly. "I promise to cherish every moment with you, to be your confidante and your greatest supporter. Together, we'll face whatever life brings our way."

Mia leaned closer, subtly gesturing for Annie to tone down the cheerfulness, while still keeping some of the warmth in her voice. "You're doing great, just keep it a bit more serious."

Annie, trying to balance Mia's advice with her natural exuberance, nodded and continued. "I promise to create a home filled with love and laughter, and to always stand by you, no matter what."

Unagami's gaze softened as he listened, his smile growing. The guests in the audience shared glances, their expressions a mix of amusement and admiration as Annie's vows filled the room with a lighthearted yet heartfelt sentiment.

Then Mia, standing next to the altar, took a deep breath and cleared her throat. The guests, who had been eagerly waiting for the moment, turned their attention toward her.

Mia, attempting to follow the traditional script while maintaining her own unique flair, announced with a mix of enthusiasm and nerves, "And now, you may kiss or something!"

The room fell into stunned silence for a moment. Unagami's eyes widened in shock, and Annie's face flushed with surprise. Both of them turned to Mia, their mouths hanging open.

"What?!" they yelled in unison, their voices echoing in the grand hall.

Mia, suddenly realizing her choice of words might have been a bit unconventional, looked flustered but tried to stay composed. "Uh, I mean, you can kiss now if you'd like. It's part of the tradition!"

Annie, still in shock, glanced at Unagami, who was equally bewildered. "Did she just say 'or something'?"

Unagami shook his head, a sheepish grin forming on his face. "I guess we're supposed to kiss now?"

Annie, despite her initial surprise, found herself smiling. She took a deep breath and nodded. "Well, let's do this."

Unagami leaned in, and Annie met him halfway. They shared a sweet, albeit slightly awkward, kiss, their laughter mingling with the applause from the guests.

Mia, relieved to see everything going smoothly despite her unconventional announcement, clapped along with everyone else. "Congratulations, you two!" she shouted, her voice full of genuine excitement and joy.

As the last echoes of applause faded, Mia stepped forward with a mischievous glint in her eye. The guests, still basking in the afterglow of the newlyweds' kiss, turned their attention back to her as she announced, "Now we go to the bathroom and eat the toilet!"

Annie's eyes widened, and she gaped at Mia in disbelief. "What?!"

Mia, her face a mask of barely contained laughter, continued without missing a beat, "Yeah, we can eat snakes!"

Jay, standing nearby and sensing the rising confusion, stepped in with a concerned look. "I think she's hallucinating or something."

Mia burst into a fit of giggles, her laughter ringing out loudly in the grand hall. "Joking! Just joking!"

Unagami let out a sigh of relief, his face relaxing into a grin. "Okay, good. You had us worried there for a moment."

Mia, still chuckling, added with a playful twinkle in her eye, "But if you want, you could kiss the toilet."

Annie and Unagami looked at each other in utter shock, their faces going pale.

"What?!" they exclaimed together, their voices rising in unison.

Mia's laughter grew even louder at their reaction. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding! Just having a bit of fun!"

Unagami, trying to keep his composure, laughed nervously. "Well, I'm glad you were just joking. The last thing we need is an after-party with a toilet-kissing contest."

Annie shook her head, trying to suppress a smile despite her initial shock. "Mia, you never fail to keep things interesting."

Mia, catching her breath from the laughter, gave them a reassuring smile. "I promise, no more surprises. Let's just enjoy the rest of the day."

Yes I have a weird sense of humor 😅😅
