Mia's twisted imagination
Warning- There are scenes with blood.
Also, I find it weird. I don't usually like violence, but I can tolerate this. So..... * shrugs*
Mia was a very dangerous girl. She carried many weapons, but they were all for one purpose- to protect her family, the ninja.
Now, the ninja didn't really like her doing this. But, over time, they got used to it.
The group, now united in their quest for justice, made their way towards the Administration's headquarters. The building loomed before them, a stark symbol of the authority that had wronged them. Jay, still recovering from his ordeal, walked beside Mia, who was visibly tense, her hands twitching near the many weapons she carried.
As they approached, the guards at the entrance eyed them warily. The atmosphere was thick with anticipation and anger.
"Stop right there!" one of the guards commanded, aiming his weapon at them.
Mia's eyes flared with intensity. "You took Agent Walker from us!" she shouted, her voice cutting through the tension like a knife. "You didn't just take him away; you took him from me!"
The guards exchanged uneasy glances, unsure of how to handle Mia's fierce demeanor. Jay, still adjusting to the situation, watched as Mia's anger became almost palpable.
One of the guards stammered, "W-We don't know what you're talking about! We didn't—"
"Don't try to lie to us!" Mia cut them off, her daggers gleaming dangerously in the light. She surged forward, her movements swift and precise. "You took him from me! And now you'll pay for it!"
The guards attempted to defend themselves, but Mia's speed and skill made their weapons ineffective. She moved through them with a combination of agility and ferocity, disarming them quickly and efficiently.
Jay watched in awe and a bit of nervousness as Mia dismantled the defenses with ease. "Yeesh," he muttered under his breath. "She's really going all out."
Nya grabbed him and hauled him back. " This is gonna get bloody." She muttered.
Inside the headquarters, the administrative staff scrambled to respond to the attack. They had clearly underestimated the determination and combat prowess of Mia and her allies. The room was a chaotic mix of shouted commands, frantic movements, and the occasional crash of furniture being thrown aside.
The head administrator, a stern-looking woman, appeared from behind her desk, her face a mixture of shock and defiance. "What is the meaning of this?!"
Mia, her eyes locked onto the administrator, advanced with a fierce glare. "You don't get to decide what's fair or just! You took my brother, and now you'll face the consequences!"
The administrator's eyes widened as she took in Mia's determined stance. "You have no idea what you're dealing with. This is a highly regulated—"
Mia wasn't interested in excuses. "Regulated? Regulated doesn't mean just! You think you can control everything and everyone without consequences?"
She threw her daggers with precision, disabling the administrator's defense systems and rendering them useless. The room was filled with the sound of metal hitting the ground and muffled cries of surprise.
Nya and the others followed Mia's lead, handling the remaining guards and securing the building. It was clear that their message was being delivered loud and clear.
Mia kicked her, swung her, and even managed to send her flying into walls.
The many agents, who had surrounded her, were no use. They were disarmed as easily and defeated.
And let's just say, five of those agents will never see daylight again.
Never.
Two caught sight of Jay and tried to pull him away. But Mia wasn't the only one high on revenge. Nya kicked them away and pulled Jay back as Lloyd and Cole hit them and avoided their lasers.
When the chaos finally subsided, the administrator, now cornered and disarmed, looked at Mia with a mix of fear and respect. "Fine," she said, her voice trembling. "What do you want?"
Mia, still seething with anger but now more controlled, stepped forward. "I want justice for what you did to Jay and to me. I want acknowledgment of your wrongs and a promise that you'll make amends."
The administrator swallowed hard. "We'll... we'll discuss your demands with our higher-ups. But you need to understand that there are protocols..."
Mia cut her off. "I don't want your protocols. I want real change. Now."
Jay spoke up. " Actually, Mia, the protocols are very important. Such as 4-5R-"
" Who's side are you on, Elizabeth?!" Mia roared.
Jay shrunk back. She only used his middle name for two reasons: 1. He was in trouble, and 2. When she meant business.
As Mia's fierce gaze bore into the administrator, a tense silence filled the room. Jay watched, apprehension mixing with concern, as the administrator fumbled with a hidden weapon—a sleek, silver device. Before anyone could react, the administrator fired a high-intensity laser directly at Mia.
The beam struck Mia, sending her staggering backward. She collapsed to the ground, smoke rising from her scorched clothing. The room erupted into chaos once more, with shocked gasps and frantic movements.
"NO!" Jay shouted, his face contorted with fury. His eyes blazed as he turned towards the administrator. "You did not just do that!"
With a roar of anger, Jay's lightning powers surged uncontrollably. His energy crackled through the room, sending sparks and lightning bolts toward the administrator and the remaining guards. The administrator, now cowering in fear, tried to defend herself, but Jay's wrath was overwhelming.
"Jay, stop!" Nya called out, reaching for him. "You need to control yourself!"
But Jay was beyond reason, his power fueled by a mixture of shock and rage. The entire room shook with the intensity of his anger. The walls were lined with sparks, and debris flew through the air. Jay's lightning arced through the room, striking equipment and causing the building's systems to short-circuit.
"YOU THINK YOU CAN HURT HER AND GET AWAY WITH IT?!" Jay roared, his voice echoing through the room. "YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'VE DONE!"
In the midst of the chaos, Mia stirred, her eyes blinking open despite the pain. She struggled to her feet, her breathing labored but determined. Seeing Jay's uncontrolled rage, she made her way towards him, her own anger blending with concern for her brother.
"Jay! Jay, stop!" Mia shouted, her voice barely cutting through the noise of the destruction. She approached him cautiously, her own wounds making every step a challenge. "This isn't going to help! We need to stay focused!"
Jay's energy flared as he noticed Mia approaching, but her words slowly pierced through his fury. He looked at her, his breathing heavy and erratic. Slowly, his lightning began to wane, his anger finding a momentary focus on her wellbeing.
"Mia," Jay said, his voice trembling with a mix of fury and fear. "You're hurt. We need to get out of here."
Mia nodded, her expression resolute despite the pain. "I'm fine. Just... just help me get this place under control. We need to get out before it collapses."
With a deep breath, Jay began to calm himself. His lightning dissipated, though the room was still in disarray. He glanced at the administrator, who was now trembling on the floor, her weapon deactivated and her fear palpable.
"I'm not done with you," Jay said coldly, though his tone had lost some of its previous intensity. "You'll face the consequences of your actions. But for now, we need to focus on getting out of here."
Nya and Cole quickly moved to assist, helping Mia and Jay navigate the debris and chaos. Sora worked to stabilize the building's systems as much as possible, trying to prevent further damage.
As they stepped out, Mia leaned on a nearby tree. She looked at Jay. " I can't believe you just did that."
" Yeah? Well, add that to one of the two times I did that." Jay said, smiling.
Nya shook her head. " Well, what do we do now?"
" We help Mia. It's the only thing that matters." Wyldfyre spoke up.
Mia smiled. " Thanks. But we need to find Arin. I'll be fine. You guys go."
" But-" Jay started.
" GO! Kai's back home. I'll tell him as well."
She took Jay's hand. " Jay Walker, go find Arin."
Jay nodded.
" Love you."
Mia nodded ad hugged him tight before gently pushing him off.
As Jay and the others headed off in search of Arin, Mia and Wyldfyre stood in the clearing, catching their breath. Wyldfyre's face showed a mix of concern and determination, though her usual adventurous spirit seemed subdued.
"I'm not in the mood for more adventure right now," Wyldfyre said, her tone a mix of frustration and resignation. "Come on. We need to get you home."
Mia, despite her injuries, had a spark of mischief in her eyes. "You ever ride a cloud before?"
Before Wyldfyre could respond, Mia waved her hand and conjured a large, fluffy cloud that floated just above the ground. The cloud was soft and looked like it was made of pure, white mist.
"Hop on," Mia said with a grin.
Wyldfyre hesitated for a moment but then stepped onto the cloud. Mia joined her, and with a quick thought, the cloud began to rise into the air. It started off slow, but soon the cloud picked up speed, zooming through the sky.
The wind whipped past them as they soared higher and faster. Both Mia and Wyldfyre let out excited whoops and cheers.
"This is awesome!" Mia shouted, her eyes wide with exhilaration.
"Next time, we take Heatwave!" Wyldfyre called back, her mood lifting as she embraced the thrill of the ride. Heatwave was her dragon, known for his fiery temperament and powerful presence.
"Sure!" Mia agreed, laughing. "Heatwave will make it even better!"
They continued to race across the sky, enjoying the sensation of freedom and the breathtaking views below. The tension and fear from earlier seemed to melt away as they shared this exhilarating experience.
Eventually, the cloud began its descent, gently bringing them down to the grounds of the monastery. The familiar sight of the ancient buildings and lush gardens greeted them.
As they touched down, Wyldfyre staggered slightly, her head spinning from the fast ride. She put a hand on her forehead, trying to steady herself.
"Okay, we'll do that later," Wyldfyre said, her voice slightly disoriented. "As soon as everything stops spiiiiiiining."
Mia helped her steady herself, chuckling softly. "You'll get used to it. But for now, let's get inside and find out what's going on."
Together, they made their way to the monastery, where the peaceful atmosphere provided a stark contrast to the chaos they had just escaped. Kai, who was cooking, greeted them with concern and relief.
Wyldfyre took a deep breath, her spirits lifting as she adjusted to the calm surroundings. "We've got to get everything sorted out. First things first, we need to find out what happened while we were gone."
Mia nodded, her determination unwavering. "Absolutely. Let's get to work. We have a lot to do, and we need to be ready for whatever comes next."
As they entered the kitchen after washing their hands, Kai just picked up a tray of sandwiches and snacks. When he turned to greet them properly, his eyes widened in concern when he saw Mia's injured leg, wrapped in makeshift bandages but still showing signs of the recent battle.
"Woah, uh, Mia, what happened to your leg?!" Kai exclaimed, setting the tray down and hurrying over.
Mia, who had been trying to act nonchalant about her injuries, finally allowed her facade to drop. She shrugged, trying to downplay it. "Oh, it's nothing. Just a little rough handling from a fight with the administration."
Kai's expression shifted from concern to a mix of frustration and worry. "A little rough handling? That looks pretty serious. Did you get any proper treatment?"
Wyldfyre, still slightly disoriented but recovering her composure, stepped in. "We were kind of in a rush. We had to get here quickly. We'll handle the injuries after we've sorted things out."
Kai's gaze softened as he looked at Wyldfyre. "And you? Are you alright?"
"I'm fine," Wyldfyre said, waving it off. "Just a little dizzy from the fast ride. Mia insisted on taking the cloud route."
Kai shook his head, a mix of relief and exasperation in his eyes. "Alright, well, sit down and let me take a look at that leg. You need to get some proper care."
Mia smiled gratefully and took a seat at the table. "Thanks, Kai. I appreciate it."
Kai carefully examined Mia's leg, his hands gentle but thorough. He worked quickly but carefully, applying fresh bandages and a soothing salve to help with the healing process.
"You know, this is why I keep telling you to be careful," Kai said, trying to sound stern but clearly worried. "You always dive headfirst into danger."
Mia chuckled softly. "It's what I do best. But don't worry, I'll be fine. It's just a part of the job."
Kai sighed, shaking his head with a smile. "You're always something else, Mia."
As Kai continued to tend to her injuries, Wyldfyre made her way to the table and started to help herself to some of the food Kai had prepared.
"Hey, Kai," she said, "thanks for making lunch. It smells amazing."
Kai nodded, though his eyes remained on Mia. "You two should eat and rest for a bit. We've got a lot ahead of us, but you need to take care of yourselves first."
Mia smiled and took a sandwich, leaning back in her chair. "You're right. Thanks, Kai."
The atmosphere in the kitchen was warm and comforting, a brief respite from the chaos and danger they had faced. As they ate and talked, it was clear that despite the challenges ahead, the bonds between them were stronger than ever.
Wyldfyre raised an eyebrow, a mix of concern and curiosity in her eyes. "What are we going to do?" she asked, her voice steady despite the chaos that had unfolded.
Mia, looking determined, replied, "I don't know about we, but I'm going there to teach them a lesson."
Kai, glancing up from his work with a slightly skeptical look, said, "Really? You're just going to go in there all by yourself?"
Mia gave him a challenging look, smirking. "Where's the cocky Kai I know? Surely, he'd have some idea about going into the fray."
Kai's grin widened as he met her gaze. "Right here. I'm always ready for a challenge."
"Good," Mia said, her expression softening just a bit. "Wyldfyre, Kai, you two need to distract them while I set booby traps everywhere. And I'm talking a real showstopper—a death wall where their blood will squeeze out like a berry! How satisfying!"
Wyldfyre's eyes widened slightly at the grim description, but she quickly composed herself. "A death wall? That sounds... intense. But if it's what you need, then I'm in."
Kai nodded, his expression turning serious. "Alright, I'll handle the distractions. But we need to make sure we're all prepared and that you don't get hurt in the process."
Mia chuckled. "Don't worry about me. I've got it covered. Just keep them busy and out of my way."
Wyldfyre gave Mia a supportive nod. "Alright, let's get to work. I'll help Kai with the distractions and make sure everything's set up."
As Kai and Wyldfyre walked down the hall, Wyldfyre leaned closer to Kai, her voice barely above a whisper. "Is she okay? For someone who doesn't like violence, she sure... loves violence. That just sounds wrong."
Kai shrugged and stopped walking, his tone casual despite the seriousness of their situation. "That's Mia for you. She's got her own way of dealing with things."
"But a death wall? Squeezing out their blood?" Wyldfyre said, her voice tinged with unease. "That's going to give me nightmares."
Kai nodded sympathetically. "Yeah, it's intense. But she loves all of us. She goes the extra mile, even if it means doing things that seem extreme."
Wyldfyre shook her head slightly, still looking unsettled. "That's still intense. I mean, I get that she's passionate and all, but... a death wall? That's a whole new level."
Kai placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "I know. It's not exactly comforting, but it's how she copes. She's fiercely protective of her family, and sometimes that means pushing boundaries."
Wyldfyre took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. "Alright, let's just focus on the plan. We'll distract them, and Mia will do what she needs to do. But I hope we can find a less... terrifying way to handle things next time."
Kai gave her a sympathetic smile. "We all do. For now, let's just make sure we're ready for whatever comes next."
With a final nod of determination, they set off to put their plan into action, knowing that they had a tough task ahead but trusting in their abilities and each other.

As Kai and Wyldfyre executed their distraction with precision, fire sparks crackling and illuminating the surroundings, Mia stealthily moved into position. Her traps and preparations had set the stage for their plan.
However, as they proceeded through the area, the sounds of yells and commotion began to intensify. Wyldfyre glanced nervously at Mia and asked, "Please don't tell me you added something else?"
Mia's expression remained innocently playful as she responded, "I won't."
Kai, raising an eyebrow, asked, "What did you add?"
Mia's grin widened slightly. "Noooothing."
Wyldfyre's eyes widened in horror as the yells grew louder and more chaotic. "Mia, seriously? What did you do?"
" Nothing. I told you."
Wyldfyre exchanged a worried glance with Kai. "You know, you're not making this any easier on us."
Kai nodded, a mix of amusement and apprehension in his expression. "Well, whatever it is, let's just hope it doesn't get too out of hand."
" Well, I might have asked a few clowns to drown some of the agents."
Kai narrowed his eyes, sensing that there was more to the story. "Seriously, what else did you add?"
Mia shrugged nonchalantly. "Fine. I might have added trapdoors and lions and holes, and set the temperature to 665 degrees."
Wyldfyre choked, her eyes widening in disbelief. "Did you just say 665 degrees?"
Mia nodded, clearly enjoying the reaction. "Yep. It's an extra layer of security. You never know what you'll face, so better to be prepared."
Kai, trying to process the sheer magnitude of what Mia had just revealed, shook his head in amazement. "Mia, that's insane! That's way beyond anything we've ever dealt with."
Wyldfyre, still catching her breath, managed to say, "I thought we were just distracting them, not turning the place into a death trap."
Mia's expression softened slightly, though she still looked amused. "I know, I know. But this is a matter of principle. They crossed a line, and I want them to understand the consequences."
Kai sighed, trying to reconcile his feelings. "Alright, let's just hope everyone gets out of this in one piece."
Wyldfyre nodded, her expression still a mix of shock and worry. "Yeah. Next time, maybe let's try something a bit less... extreme."
Mia chuckled, though she seemed to understand their concerns. "Fair enough. But for now, let's see this through. We've got a mission to finish."
With that, they continued forward, bracing themselves for whatever awaited them amid the intense and formidable traps that Mia had set.
As Mia, Kai, and Wyldfyre entered the building, they were met with a chaotic and grim sight. The floor was littered with debris, and the walls were splattered with blood. The traps Mia had set had clearly done their work, and the scene was a testament to her formidable skills.
Mia's face was a mix of grim satisfaction and resolve. She surveyed the damage with a fierce glint in her eyes. "Welcome," she said coolly, her voice echoing through the wreckage.
Wyldfyre, looking pale and visibly shaken by the sight, staggered slightly. "I think I'm gonna go puke over there," she said, pointing to a corner. "We'll see what to do next after I'm done."
Kai, taking in the scene and trying to focus on the task at hand, shook his head. "Alright, Wyldfyre. We'll hold down the fort here. Just... try not to be gone too long."
Wyldfyre gave a weak nod and hurried to the corner she had indicated. As she went, she muttered, "I didn't sign up for this level of madness."
Kai turned to Mia, concern etched on his face. "Mia, this is... intense. What exactly do you want to do next?"
Mia, her eyes still scanning the room with a determined look, replied, "We need to find any remaining survivors or leaders of this place. They need to understand the consequences of their actions and get what they deserve."
Kai nodded, though his expression remained tense. "Alright, then. Let's start searching. We'll get through this together."
As Mia and Kai began to search the wrecked building, the sounds of Wyldfyre's retching could be faintly heard in the background, adding a grim touch to the atmosphere of revenge and justice.
-------------------
" Well, that went well." Kai said, holding onto a very traumatized Wyldfyre.
Mia nodded. " Yeah, it did." She said, brightly.
Forutenely, for the sake of the fire and heat Ninja's sanity, there were no other people.
Unfortunately, Wyldfyre had nightmares.
So many she had to run to Kai, who, by the way, also had nightmares.
Mia, on the other hand, was peacefully sleeping.
The next day, as the morning light filtered into the monastery, Mia awoke feeling refreshed and ready for her planned outing. "Today I'm gonna go to the weapon shop," she declared, stretching and preparing for the day.
Kai and Wyldfyre, still visibly exhausted with deep circles under their eyes, exchanged glances and nodded. "Let's... meditate," Wyldfyre suggested, trying to find some peace amidst the chaos.
Just as they settled down for their meditation session, Kai’s phone rang. It was Cole. Without thinking, Kai answered, his voice cracking slightly from fatigue. "COLE, GET BACK HERE, PLEASE! MIA IS CRAZY!"
Wyldfyre, still reeling from the previous day’s events, added, “Yeah, Cole, listen to Kai! We’re dealing with enough as it is!”
Cole’s voice came through, a mix of confusion and amusement. “Wait, what happened now?”
Kai sighed, rubbing his temples. “Just... keep your distance. We’ll explain everything later.”
As Kai and Wyldfyre tried to focus on their meditation, the unsettling images of the previous day kept intruding. They embraced tightly, whispering, "Let's just be quiet and try to relax."
The phone rang again, breaking their fragile calm. It was Lloyd. Kai answered quickly, his voice urgent and strained. "Lloyd, please! Hurry up and get back! Mia's setting traps everywhere! There's so much blood—"
Cole, overhearing the conversation, asked anxiously, "What now?"
Kai, clearly overwhelmed, shouted the rest into the phone. "Mia's gone to the weapon shop, and she’s been setting up traps that we barely escaped from! You guys need to come back and help us sort this out!"
Jay, who had just joined the call, was incredulous. "Mia did what?!"
The three of them—Lloyd, Cole, and Jay—stared at Lloyd's phone in shock as the gravity of the situation sank in. They knew they needed to act fast to prevent further chaos and ensure Mia's safety and sanity, all while trying to salvage whatever was left of their own.
Mia returned from the weapon shop, looking pleasantly surprised. “Hey, guys! There was nothing to worry about. Now I’m gonna go read. See you!”
Kai, barely holding his eyes open, gave her a thumbs-up. “Good... just—good. I’m going to sleep. Zzz…”
Wyldfyre, on the other hand, stumbled toward Heatwave, mumbling to herself. “I can’t believe I’m going to cuddle with a dragon right now. RIGHT NOW! I need a nap like I need air. If I see one more trapdoor…”
Heatwave blinked sleepily and nuzzled her. “You look like you’ve been through a dragon’s roast. What happened?”
Wyldfyre groaned. “Mia’s idea of a fun time is apparently turning the place into a horror movie set. If she ever suggests adding lions next time, I’m out.”
Back with Kai, he finally drifted off to sleep, only to be jolted awake a few moments later by a nightmare. He rolled over and muttered, “Why does the floor have to be lava? Oh, right, because Mia.”
As Wyldfyre flopped down next to Heatwave, she tried to calm her racing mind. “If I dream of trapdoors and lions one more time, I swear I’ll become a vegetarian just to avoid the ‘meat’ of my dreams.”
Meanwhile, in the midst of reading, Mia had an epiphany. “Oh, I forgot to mention the shark tanks!” She said to herself, giggling. “But that’s for next time.”
Back at the monastery, Jay and Lloyd, having just arrived, were treated to a scene of confusion. “Why does everyone look like they’ve been to a zombie apocalypse?” Jay asked, noticing Kai’s drooping eyes and Wyldfyre’s disheveled hair.
Lloyd sighed. “Mia went a little overboard with the traps. And by overboard, I mean it’s like a circus of horrors. I think we’re all going to need therapy.”
Jay stared at Lloyd, then at the mess. “Well, at least the traps are over now. But we need to figure out how to manage Mia’s... creative genius.”
Lloyd grinned. “Agreed. Next time, we’re buying bubble wrap and duct tape. For everything.”
Mia, still reading, finally looked up and waved. “Hey, if you guys need me, I’ll be busy with my book. No more traps today, I promise.”
Kai snored loudly, mumbling in his sleep, “No more trapdoors. No more lions...”
Wyldfyre sighed, patting Heatwave. “Let’s hope for a less eventful day. And maybe some brain bleach to scrub out those nightmares.”
As everyone settled into their new, surprisingly mundane routines, they couldn't help but chuckle at the chaos that had unfolded. Even in the midst of their exhaustion and confusion, they were all relieved to have each other, if only for the sake of laughter and sanity.
* A few hours later*
Kai bolted upright, his eyes wide and wild. “LIONS ARE EATING ME!” he screamed, flailing his arms.
Wyldfyre, still half-asleep next to Heatwave, jumped with a start. “I knew it!” she groaned, grabbing Heatwave’s neck for comfort. “I knew those lions were going to come back in my dreams.”
Heatwave snorted and gave Wyldfyre a reassuring nudge. “It’s just a nightmare. You’re safe.”
Kai, still in full panic mode, leaped out of bed, looking around frantically. “Lions! Where are they? I’m not ready for a lion buffet!”
Mia, who had been peacefully reading, peered over the top of her book with a mix of curiosity and amusement. “Is it just me, or does Kai sound like he’s about to become a lion’s next meal?”
Jay, appearing from the hallway, rubbed his eyes. “Did Kai just scream about lions? This day keeps getting better.”
Lloyd, trying to stifle a laugh, came up behind Jay. “It’s like living in a circus. Lions, nightmares, and… Mia’s traps.”
Kai was now pacing, mumbling to himself, “I need a lion-proof suit. And maybe a flamethrower.”
Mia put her book down, smirking. “Okay, Kai. Breathe. There are no actual lions in the monastery. Just… you know, the metaphorical kind in your dreams.”
“Yeah,” Wyldfyre added, still half-asleep. “You can’t have lions without a proper invitation. Or a trapdoor.”
Kai finally seemed to calm down, his panic turning to embarrassment. “Oh. Uh… sorry about that. Just… a little jumpy.”
Jay chuckled, giving Kai a pat on the back. “Looks like we’ll need to add ‘lion therapy’ to the list of things we deal with.”
As everyone shared a laugh at Kai’s expense, the monastery seemed a bit more normal—or at least as normal as it could get. With lions, traps, and nightmares behind them, they could finally enjoy a semblance of peace… until the next adventure.
* Dinner*
At dinner, Kai glanced around the table, his face full of concern. “So, did we find Arin yet?”
Jay shook his head, looking defeated. “No, we didn’t. We’ve searched so many lands. It’s like he vanished into thin air.”
Mia’s eyes lit up with a sudden idea. “What if we set a trap?”
Silence fell over the group, punctuated only by the sound of crickets chirping outside. The others exchanged uncertain glances, unsure how to respond.
Mia, undeterred, continued. “We could use sharks! You know, bait them with something irresistible and then—”
Jay's eyes widened, and before anyone could react, he slumped forward, fainting onto his plate.
“Jay!” Kai exclaimed, reaching over to check on him. “Did he just faint from the idea of sharks?”
Wyldfyre looked at Mia with a mix of surprise and concern. “I guess you really took the whole ‘trap’ thing to the next level.”
Mia, looking bewildered, shrugged. “I thought it was a good idea. Sharks are pretty intimidating.”
Lloyd snorted, trying to hide his laughter. “Yeah, well, it seems Jay has a very strong reaction to ‘shark traps.’”
Wyldfyre sighed and patted Kai’s shoulder. “Let’s give him a moment. Maybe next time, try a trap that doesn’t involve a potential shark attack.”
Kai nodded, trying to regain his composure. “And let’s maybe avoid anything that could make Jay faint again.”
As Jay slowly came to, blinking in confusion, the group shared a collective sigh of relief. The dinner, though interrupted, continued with a bit more caution and a lot of laughter over the day’s chaotic events.
