Mia on the news

As the TV flickered to another interview, the screen displayed Mia sitting confidently in a studio, this time talking about rules and regulations. The headline at the bottom read: "Mia Walker Discusses the Importance of Rules in the Workplace."

Cole, who was still seated with the family, leaned forward, narrowing his eyes at the screen. "This... could be bad," he muttered, sensing that Mia was about to drop some controversial statements.

Nya, sipping on her hot cocoa, watched with a mix of curiosity and concern. "Let’s just hope she doesn’t say anything too—"

But before she could finish, Mia’s voice filled the room.

“Let me be clear: No one is allowed to drink on the job,” Mia declared, her tone firm and authoritative.

The effect was instantaneous. Nya, caught completely off guard, choked on her hot cocoa, sputtering as the liquid sprayed out in surprise. “What did she just say?!”

Kai's eyes widened as he realized the implications of Mia’s statement. “Oh no...”

The others  were equally stunned. Jay glanced over at the others, unsure whether to laugh or panic. “Is she... is she serious?”

Lloyd, eyes glued to the screen, shook his head in disbelief. “I think she is.”

On the TV, Mia continued her speech, oblivious to the chaos she had just caused back home. She was passionately laying out her views on workplace professionalism, completely unaware that her family was reeling from her blunt declaration.

Zane, trying to keep a straight face, signed, "Well, that's one way to make sure people follow the rules."

His voice thing was broken so he couldn't talk

Nya, finally managed to catch her breath, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. “I can’t believe she just said that on live TV!”

Jay rubbed his temples, already imagining the repercussions of Mia’s bold statement. “We’re going to have some very interesting conversations at work tomorrow.”

Cole laughed nervously. “At least she’s consistent...?”

Kai chuckled, shaking his head. “That’s Mia for you—never afraid to say what she thinks.”

NyA, still recovering from her shock, looked at the TV with a mix of pride and exasperation. “She certainly knows how to make an impression.”

But then the news sunk in. No drinking on the job. No water, no coffee. Nothing.

As the news sank in, Jay's face turned pale. “No drinking on the job?! I... I have a very sensitive body! I need to drink water!” He paced back and forth, his hands tugging at his hair.

Wu raised a hand to calm him. “jay, calm down.”

“Calm down?!” Jay nearly shrieked. “I CAN’T DRINK WATER ON THE JOB!” His voice was rising in pitch, teetering on the edge of panic.

Meanwhile, Cole was running around the living room in a frenzy, his arms flailing wildly as he yelled, “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”

Zane sat on the couch, shaking his head in disbelief. He signed, “This family is doomed.”

Wu took a deep breath, trying to bring some order to the chaos. “Guys, let’s think about this logically. Mia didn’t mean you can’t drink water at all—”

“Then what did she mean?!” Jay interrupted, his eyes wide with fear. “Because I can’t go a whole shift without water! I’ll shrivel up!”

Cole, still running in circles, shouted, “We’re all going to shrivel up!”

Wu pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling a headache coming on. “Okay, everyone stop!” he ordered, his voice firm.

Cole finally came to a halt, breathing heavily as he stared at Wu.

“Listen,” Wu said, addressing all of them, “we’re going to fix this. Mia was just being Mia—overly enthusiastic and very literal. We’ll talk to her, get her to clarify what she meant, and make sure everyone knows that drinking water is not banned on the job.”

Jay stopped pacing and blinked at Wu. “So... I can drink water?”

“Yes, Jay,” Wu said with exasperation. “You can drink water.”

Zane, still sitting calmly on the couch, signed, “Thank goodness. I thought we’d all be dehydrated.”

Jay finally took a deep breath and tried to relax. “Okay. But we really need to have a talk with Mia about her public statements.”

Kai nodded. “We will. But first, let’s all calm down before any more panic sets in.”

Cole nodded vigorously, still catching his breath. “Agreed. No more running around. I’m tired.”

“Good,” Wu said, feeling slightly more in control of the situation. “Now, let’s figure out how we’re going to talk to Mia before she gives another interview and bans something else we all need to survive.”

As if the universe had a cruel sense of humor, the news channel switched to another segment featuring Mia. She was sitting confidently, her expression serious as she spoke to the interviewer.

"And another thing," Mia declared, "no one should be eating on the job either. It’s a distraction and can lead to mistakes."

Jay's eyes went wide with horror. “WHAT?!” he exclaimed, his voice breaking. “No eating on the job?!”

Cole, who had just caught his breath, immediately resumed his frantic running in circles. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” he screamed, his voice echoing throughout the house.

Jay started pacing again, this time with even more urgency. “I need food to function! How am I supposed to get through a shift without eating?!”

Kai attempt to stay calm was rapidly deteriorating. “Okay, let’s not panic—”

“NOT PANIC?!” Jay cut him off, his hands flailing. “I CAN’T DRINK WATER, AND NOW I CAN’T EAT EITHER? I’M GONNA PASS OUT ON THE JOB!”

Cole continued his hysterical lap around the living room, shouting, “WE’RE ALL GONNA PASS OUT!”

Zane, still seated on the couch, shook his head in resignation. He signed, “Here we go again…”

Lloyd rubbed his temples, trying to quell the mounting headache. “Alright, everyone stop!” he commanded, though his voice lacked the authority it usually had

Cole skidded to a halt once again, panting heavily. “This is a disaster,” he muttered.

Jay, on the verge of a meltdown, looked at Lloyd with desperation in his eyes. “What are we gonna do? We can’t survive like this!”

Lloyd sighed heavily. “We’re going to have to talk to Mia—again. She doesn’t realize the chaos she’s causing with these statements.”

Jay's voice was shaky. “But what if she bans breathing next?”

“Please don’t give her any ideas,” Kai sighed with a smirk, trying to lighten the mood.

Wu took a deep breath, trying to find some semblance of calm. “Alright, let’s handle this one step at a time. First, we get Mia to clarify her comments—again. And second, we make sure no one else gets any more ideas from her interviews.”

Cole nodded weakly, still trying to catch his breath. “Can we please just survive this day?”

Lloyd gave a wry smile. “I’m working on it, Cole. I’m working on it.”

As if on cue, the news anchor asked, "Mia, any final thoughts on maintaining discipline during work hours?"

Mia, with an innocent expression, leaned into the microphone and said, "Oh, and one more thing—no one should be allowed to breathe too loudly on the job. It’s distracting."

The room went silent for a split second, and then all hell broke loose.

Jay's eyes bulged as if they were about to pop out of his head. “WHAT?! NO BREATHING?!”

Cole, who had barely recovered from his last panic attack, immediately resumed his chaotic sprint around the living room. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” he screamed at the top of his lungs, his voice cracking with sheer panic.

Jay began hyperventilating, ironically not following Mia’s new rule at all. “I CAN’T—I CAN’T BREATHE! SHE SAID WE CAN’T BREATHE!”

Lloyd, who had been trying to stay calm up until this point, finally snapped. “EVERYONE JUST STOP!”

But there was no stopping Jay and Cole. Jay was practically pulling at his hair, muttering to himself about the absurdity of it all. “I’m gonna pass out! We’re all gonna pass out! I CAN’T EVEN BREATHE ANYMORE!”

Cole was now running in even faster circles, if that were possible, screaming louder than before. “WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”

Kai, watching the chaos unfold, let out a long sigh and sighed, “This is beyond saving…”

Lloyd slumped into the nearest chair, rubbing his temples with both hands. “This is a nightmare,” he muttered to himself. “A complete, absolute nightmare.”

Jay, in his frenzied state, finally turned to Lloyd, eyes wide and desperate. “What are we gonna do?! I CAN’T LIVE LIKE THIS!”

Cole, still running, yelled, “WE NEED AIR! WE NEED FOOD! WE NEED WATER!”

Lloyd, realizing there was no calming them down now, stood up and shouted over the noise, “Alright, enough! We’re going to talk to Mia—again—and fix this! I’m not letting my family lose their minds over this!”

But it was clear that getting them to calm down would be easier said than done. Jay and Cole were too far gone, their panicked screams filling the house as Buster quietly shook his head, wondering how things had gotten so out of control.

As chaos continued to reign in the living room, Mia’s voice came through the TV once again.

“And another thing,” Mia declared with her trademark seriousness, “anyone with the letter J as their first letter can't work. It's a distraction.”

Jay’s eyes widened in sheer horror. “WHAT?!”

The news segment cut to Jay’s reaction, which was nothing short of explosive. He immediately bolted from his spot, his face contorted with a mix of disbelief and fury. “NO WAY! YOU CAN’T JUST BAN PEOPLE WITH THE LETTER J! THAT’S—THAT’S—”

He started pacing frenetically, his hands clutching his head as if trying to keep it from exploding. “THIS ISN’T FAIR! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO? I CAN’T JUST NOT WORK!”

Cole, already on edge from the previous panic, looked at Jay with wide eyes. “NO! JAY, YOU CAN’T JUST—”

His words were cut off as Jay let out a loud, guttural scream. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS! I—CAN’T—WORK—ANYMORE?!”

Kai and Lloyd exchanged a frazzled glance. Kai tried to calm Jay down, but his own frustration was mounting. “Jay, please, calm down. It’s not the end of the world.”

Jay, however, was not listening. “NO! THIS IS THE END! I CAN’T WORK! I CAN’T EVEN—” He broke off, sobbing loudly.

Nya, who had been trying to keep a handle on her own emotions, stepped forward. “Jay, you have to understand—Mia’s just making a statement. She doesn’t actually mean it. She’s—”

“I DON’T CARE!” Jay screamed, his voice echoing through the house. “THIS IS INSANE! I CAN’T LIVE LIKE THIS!”

Cole had finally stopped his chaotic running and was now sitting on the floor, tears streaming down his face. “We’re all doomed. We’re all going to be unemployed because of Mia.”

Wu, his patience wearing thin, took a deep breath and tried to regain control of the situation. “Alright, this is getting out of hand. We need to get Mia to clarify her statements right now and make sure she understands the impact of what she’s saying.”

He grabbed his phone and began dialing, his face set in determination. Meanwhile, Jay continued to rant, his frustration only escalating. “I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS! I—”

Kai, still trying to manage the chaos, rubbed his temples and tried to stay calm. “Jay, you need to stop. We’ll sort this out. Just breathe.”

Jay’s breathing was still erratic, but he finally took a moment to stop his pacing and looked at Kai with tear-filled eyes. “I just—just want this to be over.”

As the television buzzed back to life, Mia’s voice cut through the chaos once more.

“And one last rule,” Mia said with her usual seriousness, “anyone with the letter J or C in their names has to walk in their underwear at work.”

Jay and Cole, who were still trying to recover from the previous frenzy, both let out simultaneous screams.

“WHAT?!” Jay shrieked, his face turning beet red. “NO WAY! THIS ISN’T HAPPENING!”

Cole, equally horrified, echoed Jay’s distress. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! NO NO NO!”

Their cries of panic filled the house as they both stood, frozen in shock. Jay’s hands were clutching his head in disbelief, while Cole was pacing frantically, his face ashen with fear.

Kai and Lloyd, already overwhelmed, stared at the TV in disbelief. Kai’s jaw dropped as he tried to process the new rule. “This is getting worse by the second.”

Lloyd shook his head, a mixture of frustration and amusement in his eyes. “We need to get Mia to understand the chaos she’s causing.”

Nya, who had been trying to stay calm, was now at a loss for words. “This is absolutely insane. We need to fix this before it gets any worse.”

Jay, still in a state of panic, turned to Kai. “How am I supposed to go to work like that?! This is beyond humiliating!”

Cole, still pacing, added, “We can’t do this! We’ll be the laughingstock of the entire office!”

Wu, feeling the pressure to resolve the situation, once again picked up his phone. “Alright, I’m calling Mia again. This has to be sorted out before it causes more damage.”

As Wu made the call, Jay and Cole continued to express their outrage. Jay was now frantically tugging at his hair, his eyes wide with distress. “I can’t believe this is happening. It’s not just unfair; it’s completely ridiculous!”

Cole’s pacing became even more frenetic. “We need to do something! This can’t go on!”

Just when everyone thought the situation couldn’t get any crazier, Mia’s voice rang out once more from the TV, making everyone freeze in disbelief.

“Oh, and one more thing,” Mia announced with a determined expression, “anyone with freckles has to work as a fashion designer.”

Jay’s eyes widened in horror. He turned to Kai, his face contorted in panic. “NO! NO WAY! I CAN’T—”

Before Kai could react, Jay grabbed him and clung on tightly, his voice rising in a frantic, high-pitched wail. “KAI! HELP! I CAN’T DO THIS! THIS IS INSANE!”

Jay’s grip on Kai was vice-like as he continued to scream. “I CAN’T BE A FASHION DESIGNER! I—”

Cole, who was still recovering from the previous panic, looked at Jay in alarm. “Jay, calm down! It’s just a rule!”

But Jay was beyond reason. He thrashed around, his distress escalating with each passing second. “NO! I CAN’T! THIS IS TOO MUCH! I’M GOING BALLISTIC!”

His wild cries echoed through the house as he clutched Kai, his breathing coming in ragged gasps. “I CAN’T BE A FASHION DESIGNER! I’D MAKE A MESS OF EVERYTHING!”

Kai, trying to hold onto his composure, wrapped his arms around Jay, attempting to soothe him. “Jay, it’s okay. We’ll sort this out.”

Nya, Zane, and Wu looked on with a mix of concern and frustration. “This has to stop,” Nya said, her voice strained. “We need to make Mia understand that her rules are causing chaos.”

Wu nodded in agreement. “I’m calling her again. This is getting out of hand.”

As Wu dialed Mia’s number, Jay continued to flail and scream, his emotional state showing no signs of calming down. “I CAN’T HANDLE THIS! WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO BE SO COMPLICATED?!”

Cole, still shaken but trying to be supportive, approached Jay. “Hey, Jay, we’re going to fix this. Just breathe. It’ll be okay.”

Jay’s frantic cries finally began to subside as Kai held him close, murmuring soothing words. “We’ll figure this out. It’s going to be alright.”

The moment Mia's latest rule was announced on TV, the house erupted once more.

“... And anyone with the letter J and C in their names can never eat,” Mia said with a matter-of-fact tone.

Jay’s face turned a shade of white that seemed almost unnatural. He stared at the TV, his mouth agape, the realization of the new rule hitting him like a ton of bricks. “NO! NO, NO, NO!”

Cole’s reaction was no less intense. “WHAT?! NO EATING?!”

Jay’s panic reached a new height as he collapsed onto the floor, his hands clutching his head as if trying to keep his thoughts from escaping. “THIS IS TOO MUCH! I CAN’T—”

Cole, who had been struggling to recover from the earlier chaos, looked as if he might faint. “We’re not allowed to eat? How are we supposed to survive?”

Kai rushed to Jay’s side, trying to offer some comfort. “Jay, calm down! We’ll figure this out!”

Jay’s cries grew louder. “WE CAN’T JUST NOT EAT! HOW WILL WE LIVE?!” He began to flail around, his distress evident as he threw his hands up in desperation.

Cole joined in, his own voice rising in pitch. “THIS IS MADNESS! WE CAN’T GO WITHOUT FOOD!”

Wu, seeing that the situation was rapidly spiraling out of control, took a deep breath and tried to regain some semblance of order. “Alright, everyone, listen! We need to get Mia to clarify this latest rule immediately.”

Nya, still in shock, nodded vigorously. “Yes! We need to stop this before it gets worse!”

Wu made a quick call to Mia, his face set in determination. “Mia, we need to talk about this latest rule. It’s causing a lot of distress.”

As Wu spoke with Mia, Jay continued to moan and wail on the floor, and Cole paced frantically. Kai did his best to keep Jay calm, holding him close and whispering soothing words.

The chaos seemed endless, but Wu’s determination to fix the situation provided a glimmer of hope. The family braced themselves, hoping that Mia would understand the gravity of her statements and that order would be restored soon.

As the chaos continued, Kai took a deep breath and approached Cole, trying to calm him down amidst the turmoil. “Cole, focus on me. Take deep breaths. We’re going to figure this out.”

Meanwhile, Nya was at Jay’s side, attempting to soothe his panic. “Jay, it’s going to be okay. We’ll get this sorted out.”

Just then, Mia’s voice came through the TV with her latest rule: “Fine. People with the letter J and C can only eat bathroom food.”

Jay’s eyes widened in horror. “I’m sorry, what?! I am not eating bathroom food! Nuh-uh! No way!”

He began to gag at the thought, his distress reaching new levels. “Bathroom food? Are you serious?”

Cole, who had been running around screaming, let out an even louder cry of despair. “AHHHHHHHHHH! I CAN’T DO THIS! WE CAN’T EAT BATHROOM FOOD!”

The entire house was in a frenzy. Jay was on the verge of hyperventilating, and Cole’s screams echoed through the rooms.

Nya, trying to maintain her composure, put a hand on Jay’s shoulder. “Jay, we need to stay calm. We’ll address this and make sure Mia understands the consequences of these rules.”

Kai, who had managed to calm Cole slightly, nodded in agreement. “Yes, we need to get this sorted. Mia’s rules are getting out of hand, and we need to make sure she knows how it’s affecting us.”

Wu, still on the phone with Mia, tried to reason with her. “Mia, please reconsider these rules. They’re causing a lot of distress and confusion. We need something reasonable and workable.”

As Wu continued to negotiate with Mia, Jay and Cole’s panic showed no sign of letting up. The situation was a mess, but the hope for resolution was now pinned on Wu’s ability to convince Mia to clarify or retract her latest, and most distressing, rule.

" Jay! Are you okay?" Mia asked

Jay turned to her. " No, I'm not! You made me go to work in my underwear!"

Mia looked confused. " Huh? Jay, it's nine in the morning."

Jay blinked and looked at the clock. " Oh. Oops."
