House under Monestary
The one with the hat is Rose, next to her on the bench is Mia, then Nelson, then Jake.
And on the ground you can see Blackie.
Mia set the last box down and let out a content sigh.
" Welp, we're making progress!* She said cheerfully.
Jake coughed as he jumped from above. " Yeah, progress. Remind me why we're building a house under the monastery?*
" Because it's larger than any house. Also, this used to be a dungeon, but hasn't been used for thousands of years.*
Nelson yelped and jumped into Rose's arms when he saw a rat scurry through. " Are you sure about this, Mia?*
Mia nodded, determined. " Yep. If each of us tackle a job, we'll be done in no time! I already drew a blueprint."
Suddenly, Cole came down. " You called?"
Mia nodded eagerly. " Yep! I need you to rise rocks over... There.... And there... And.... Let me just give you to blueprint."
Cole nodded as he studied the print. " Got it." He smashed his hands together, and used his earth powers to lift the rocks, creating walls."
" What about a bathroom?* Nelson commented.
Mia giggles. " We're gonna use the same bathroom, silly!"
" And your room?* Rose added.
" I'm gonna story there."
" Wait, let me get this straight. You're gonna sleep in the nice room, while the rest of us down here with the animals?!" Jake asked.
Mia sighed. " Yes. Except for the animals."
Jake looked at Mia with wide eyes, clearly not thrilled by the idea. “So, you get the comfy room, and we’re stuck down here in this creepy dungeon with rats?”
Mia gave him a playful smirk. “It’s not that bad, Jake. Besides, the animals will be up in the monastery with me, so you don’t have to worry about them sneaking into your bed at night.”
Nelson shivered a little, still holding onto Rose. “But what about the rats? And the spiders? I’m not sure I’m cut out for dungeon living.”
Rose patted Nelson on the back reassuringly. “Don’t worry, Nelson. We’ll clean it up, make it cozy. It might actually be fun—like camping, but with stone walls.”
Cole, who was still working on the walls, glanced back at the group. “I can help with the cleaning too. And we can always spruce it up with some lights and decorations. It won’t feel like a dungeon once we’re done with it.”
Mia beamed at Cole. “Exactly! We’ll make it our own secret hideout. A place where we can all hang out, work on our projects, and have some peace and quiet away from the chaos up there.”
Jake sighed, clearly resigned to the idea. “Fine. But if I see one more rat, I’m moving into the monastery with you, Mia.”
Mia laughed and handed Jake a broom. “Deal. Now let’s get to work. The sooner we start, the sooner we can turn this place into something amazing.”
With that, the group got to work. Rose and Nelson started cleaning up the corners while Jake reluctantly began sweeping the floor. Cole continued shaping the stone walls, making sure they were sturdy and smooth. And Mia, always the organizer, went around supervising, making sure everything was going according to her plan.
Blackie, lounging on the ground, watched them with a lazy yawn, content with his spot on the cool dungeon floor. The little cat seemed unbothered by the dust and the occasional scurrying rodent, as if he was already at home in their new underground hideout.
Rose was on wallpaper duty. She chose a soft teal.
Jake was on floor duty. With Mia's help, he put the carpet in the floor.
Nelson was dusting duty, and Mia was animal duty.
As they worked, the once dark and musty dungeon slowly began to take shape. The walls were polished, the floors were swept clean, and with each passing hour, it became less of a dungeon and more of a hidden refuge—a place just for them.
By the time they were done for the day, the space already felt different. It was still rough around the edges, but there was potential. And most importantly, they had done it together, turning a forgotten dungeon into something that would soon be their own personal retreat.
Nelson cocked his head. " And the kitchen?*
* upstairs."
Rose, who was quietly observing, said, "so this is just gonna be a living room and bedroom?"
"Yup! "
" oh good."
Then Nelson said with a deep expression, "we can bring our stuff from our house, sure. But only for the bedroom. Not for the living room ."
Mia said, laughing, " Don't worry that's covered. I ordered two armchairs four massager chairs one heart shaped table a painting of horses in the wild a TV and Nintendo and consoles and Animal crossing new horizons happy home paradise and stuff."
Nelson blinked, processing the sheer amount of stuff Mia had just mentioned. “Wait, wait, wait… You ordered all that already?”
Mia nodded enthusiastically. “Yep! It’s going to be perfect. The living room will be super cozy, and we’ll have everything we need to relax after a long day.”
Rose, still in shock, shook her head with a disbelieving smile. “Mia, you really went all out. I mean, massager chairs? And a heart-shaped table?”
Mia grinned, clearly proud of her choices. “Of course! We deserve to be comfortable. Plus, I thought the heart-shaped table would add a nice touch. It’ll be a great spot for us to sit and play games together.”
Jake, who had been quietly listening, finally found his voice. “You really thought of everything, didn’t you? I was just thinking we’d bring in some old furniture, but… wow.”
Nelson scratched his head, still trying to wrap his mind around the idea. “And you’re sure all of that will fit down here?”
Mia nodded confidently. “I measured everything out before I ordered it. We’ve got plenty of space. And once the furniture arrives, it’s going to look amazing. Trust me.”
Rose crossed her arms, still half-amused and half-impressed. “Well, if anyone could turn a dungeon into a high-end living space, it’s you, Mia. I just hope the delivery guys don’t freak out when they see where they have to bring everything.”
Mia chuckled. “Don’t worry about that. I’ve got a plan. We’ll help them get everything down here, and then we can set it all up together. It’ll be a fun project!”
Nelson glanced over at the walls that Cole had shaped earlier, imagining the space filled with all the items Mia had ordered. “This place is going to be… unique, that’s for sure.”
Jake finally allowed himself to smile, shaking his head in disbelief. “Leave it to Mia to make a dungeon feel like home.”
Mia beamed, clearly excited about her vision. “Exactly! Now, let’s get ready. The furniture should be arriving soon, and then we can really make this place ours.”
As Rose, Nelson, and Jake exchanged looks of amusement and anticipation, they couldn’t help but feel a bit of excitement as well. Mia’s energy was contagious, and while the idea of turning an old dungeon into a cozy living space had seemed crazy at first, they were starting to see the potential.
-----
When the delivery truck pulled up to the monastery, Mia was ready. As the delivery people started unloading the massive amount of furniture, Mia approached them with a confident smile. “Thank you so much for bringing everything,” she said cheerfully. “But don’t worry, we’ve got it from here.”
The delivery workers, clearly puzzled by the request, exchanged glances. “Are you sure? This is a lot of heavy stuff,” one of them said, eyeing the massager chairs and the heart-shaped table.
Mia nodded with enthusiasm. “Yep! We’ve got plenty of help.” She turned to wave at Jay, Kai, and Lloyd, who had just arrived to see what all the commotion was about. ( Rose, Jake and Nelson were already hauling boxes away).
As soon as the three of them saw the mountain of furniture and the sheer size of some of the items, they froze in place, their eyes wide with disbelief.
Jay was the first to speak, his voice barely more than a squeak. “Mia… what is all this?”
Mia, not missing a beat, grinned at her older brother. “Just some stuff for our new place! You’re gonna love it.”
Kai stared at the pile of boxes and furniture, his mouth slightly open. “You… ordered all of this? For down there?” He pointed to the entrance to the old dungeon below the monastery.
Lloyd shook his head slowly, still trying to process what he was seeing. “How are you even going to fit all of this down there? And—wait, is that a heart-shaped table?”
Mia giggled, clearly enjoying their reactions. “Yep! It’s all part of the plan. The living room is going to be amazing. Now, come on! Help us carry everything down.”
Jay, still trying to wrap his head around the situation, hesitated. “Mia, are you sure you know what you’re doing? I mean, this is a lot of stuff.”
Mia rolled her eyes playfully. “Of course, I do! I’ve got it all figured out. Just trust me, okay?”
With a resigned sigh, Jay glanced at Kai and Lloyd. “Well, I guess we’re doing this.”
Kai chuckled, finally snapping out of his shock. “This is going to be interesting, that’s for sure.”
Lloyd, still shaking his head in disbelief, grabbed one of the boxes. “Alright, let’s get this over with. I can’t wait to see what this place looks like when it’s done.”
As the group began to haul the furniture and boxes down into the dungeon, Mia led the way, her excitement and energy pushing them forward.
Despite their initial hesitation, Jay, Kai, and Lloyd couldn’t help but get caught up in her enthusiasm. Whatever Mia had planned, it was sure to be something they’d never forget.
Nelson looked around at the piles of furniture and boxes. “Alright, we’re going to head home and get the small stuff. You’re handling the big stuff, right Mia?”
Mia, already busy organizing the massive amount of furniture, nodded vigorously. “Think so,” she said with a grin. “I’ve got it all planned out.”
She quickly got to work, sorting the large items into different rooms. “Nelson’s stuff goes in this room,” she said, directing one of the boxes to a corner. “Rose’s stuff goes in here,” she continued, pointing to another room. “And Jake’s stuff goes over here.”
Lloyd watched in disbelief as Mia’s organization skills came into play. “I can’t believe it. This place is turning into a full-on home.”
Mia rolled her eyes playfully. “Yep. Uh-huh. It’s all under control.”
With that settled, Mia turned her attention to her roommates. “Alright, everyone, while Nelson, Rose, and Jake get the smaller items from home, let’s get these boxes unpacked for the living room.”
The team got to work, unpacking and arranging the armchairs, massager chairs, heart-shaped table, and other items Mia had ordered.
Jake, who had returned from the monastery, peeked into the room and shook his head in awe. “I still can’t believe we’re actually doing this.”
Rose, adjusting one of the armchairs, added, “I’m just glad we’re making progress. It’s starting to look like a real living space.”
Blackie, watching from a cozy corner, gave a contented meow, as if to approve of the work being done.
With everyone working together, the living room gradually started to take shape. The massager chairs were positioned for optimal relaxation, the heart-shaped table added a quirky touch, and the new TV and gaming consoles were set up for entertainment.
As they worked, the dungeon began to transform from an old, dusty space into a vibrant and lively area, ready to become their new home.
Jay's eyes widened in surprise. “Woah, you got Animal Crossing! That’s awesome!”
Mia grinned. “Yep! You have one too.”
Jay shook his head. “No, I don’t.”
Mia looked at her fingertips thoughtfully, then asked, “Have you ever checked under your pillow?”
Jay looked puzzled but curious. “Under my pillow? Why?”
Without waiting for a response, Mia shrugged and said, “Just take a look.”
Jay made his way to his room and lifted his pillow. To his shock, there was a copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, complete with a note that read, “Surprise! Thought you might like this too. Enjoy!”
Jay’s face lit up with realization and gratitude. “Mia, you’re the best! I didn’t even know you got this for me!”
Mia winked. “Thought it’d be a nice surprise. Now, let’s get everything set up so we can start playing.”
---------------
Half an hour later, the living room was transformed into a cozy, inviting space. Mia, Rose, Nelson, and Jake worked tirelessly to get everything in place.
As the final piece of furniture—a plush, heart-shaped table—was set down in the center of the room, the transformation was complete. The walls were adorned with the painting of horses running wild, capturing a serene, natural beauty. The room was filled with a warm, welcoming ambiance, thanks to the soft lighting and the arrangement of furniture.
The two armchairs were positioned by the large window, providing a perfect spot to enjoy the view of the surrounding nature. The four massager chairs were arranged in a semi-circle, ready for relaxation after a long day. The TV was mounted on the wall, with the Nintendo consoles neatly set up beside it. On the coffee table, there was a bowl of snacks and a few magazines.
Mia surveyed the room with satisfaction. “Okay, I think we’re all set here. What do you think?”
Rose, who was fluffing the cushions on the armchairs, looked around and nodded. “It looks amazing, Mia! I love how everything is coming together.”
Nelson, busy adjusting the massager chairs, chimed in, “Yeah, it’s really cozy. I’m glad we got all this stuff in. It’s going to be great for relaxing.”
Jake, who was setting up the TV and gaming consoles, added, “I can’t wait to try out Animal Crossing. This place is perfect for it!”
Just then, Jay and Kai walked in, their eyes widening at the sight of the finished room.
“Wow,” Jay said, taking in the view. “This is incredible. You guys did an amazing job.”
Kai nodded in agreement. “Yeah, it looks really great. I’m impressed.”
Mia grinned. “Thanks! We worked hard to get it just right. Now, let’s get everything set up and make sure we’re ready for our next adventure.”
Lloyd strolled in next, looking around with a mix of awe and approval. “I can’t believe how quickly you all got this done. It really looks like a great place to hang out.”
“Yep!” Mia said, clapping her hands together. “We’re all set. Let’s just enjoy it for a bit before we tackle the next task.”
As the group settled into the newly furnished room, they took a moment to appreciate their hard work. Rose and Jake kicked back in the armchairs, Nelson tried out one of the massager chairs, and Jay and Kai tested the gaming setup.
The room buzzed with chatter and laughter, the soft hum of the massager chairs providing a relaxing background noise. The new living space was more than just a room; it was a testament to their teamwork and creativity.
“Here’s to many more great moments in our new living room!” Mia toasted, holding up a snack.
Everyone cheered in agreement, excited for the adventures and relaxation that awaited in their beautifully set-up space.
As everyone settled into the newly furnished living room, Mia suddenly jumped up, her eyes wide with realization. “Hold on! It’s missing something!” she exclaimed.
She dashed towards the remaining boxes, rummaging through them with a sense of urgency. She pulled out cushions, decorative items, and other knick-knacks, but nothing seemed to fit what she was envisioning.
One particularly tall box caught her attention. Determined, Mia climbed into it, hoping to find what was missing. However, the box was deeper than she expected, and she quickly found herself unable to climb out. She flailed her arms, her voice slightly muffled, “Uh, guys? A little help here?”
Jay, who had been setting up a game on the TV, turned at the sound. He saw Mia's feet sticking out of the box and hurried over. “Mia, what on earth—?” he started, but his voice trailed off as he saw the predicament.
With a chuckle, Jay carefully pulled the box open and helped Mia out. “You okay?” he asked, brushing off some of the dust from her clothes.
Mia looked up sheepishly, a hint of embarrassment in her eyes. “Yeah, just... a little stuck. I really thought I’d find it in there.”
Rose and Nelson approached, curiosity piqued. “Find what?” Rose asked, glancing at the box and then at Mia.
“I was looking for the perfect finishing touch,” Mia said, dusting herself off. “Something to make the room feel complete.”
Jake, who had been watching the whole scene with a grin, suggested, “Maybe we could use some plants or a nice rug. Something to add a bit of color and warmth.”
Mia’s eyes brightened. “That’s a great idea! Let’s see what we have left in the boxes.”
With Jay’s help, Mia searched through the remaining items and found a collection of potted plants and a colorful rug. They quickly set these up in the living room, placing the plants on various tables and corners to add a touch of green and placing the rug in the center to tie everything together.
As they finished, Mia stepped back, admiring the room with a satisfied smile. “There we go. I think that’s just what it needed.”
Rose, Nelson, and Jake agreed, admiring the final touches. “Looks perfect now,” Rose said, her eyes sparkling with approval.
Jay, who had been busy organizing the last bit of the setup, nodded. “Yeah, it really brings everything together. Nice job, Mia.”
Mia beamed, feeling proud of their hard work. “Thanks, everyone. I think we’re ready to enjoy this space now.”
Jay looked around the living room, thoughtfully tapping his chin. “Hmm... You’re missing something. Here’s a hint: walls.”
Mia’s eyes widened as realization hit her. “Oh! The picture board!” She dashed over to the stack of boxes that had been set aside, pulling out the large, carefully wrapped frame.
With Jay’s help, they mounted the picture board on the wall. It was a stunning collage, featuring photos of all their adventures, family moments, and snapshots of their friends. The board took up nearly half the wall, becoming a vibrant focal point in the room.
Rose, Nelson, and Jake gathered around, admiring the display. “Wow, that looks amazing!” Rose said, her eyes scanning the board filled with memories.
“Yeah, it really brings everything together,” Nelson agreed, smiling at the assortment of images.
Jake nodded, adding, “It’s like a snapshot of all the best moments. I love it.”
Mia stepped back, feeling a deep sense of satisfaction. “This was definitely the missing piece. It makes the room feel complete.”
Jay gave her a thumbs-up. “Great call, Mia. It really adds a personal touch.”
---------------
Mia stepped into the bustling printing shop, the air filled with the faint hum of machines and the scent of fresh ink. She approached the counter where a friendly staff member greeted her.
“Hi there! How can I help you today?” the staff member asked with a warm smile.
Mia handed over a USB drive with a determined look. “I’d like to print these pictures. They’re from some of our adventures and the animals we’ve rescued.”
The staff member took the drive and plugged it into the computer. “Got it. Let’s see what we have here.” The screen flickered, displaying a folder full of images. The staff member scrolled through, noting the variety of photos: a collage of her trio in action, snapshots of rescued animals, and various moments from their adventures.
“Wow, these are incredible!” the staff member exclaimed. “How many prints are we looking at?”
“Every single one,” Mia replied firmly. “I want to make a big display.”
The staff member raised an eyebrow. “All right, I’ll get started. Any specific sizes or formats you want?”
“Let’s go with a mix,” Mia said, thinking quickly. “Some should be big for the main wall, and others smaller for a photo album I’m putting together. Oh, and can you do some with borders?”
“Sure thing,” the staff member said, adjusting settings on the computer. “It’ll take a little while. You can come back in a few hours to pick them up.”
Mia nodded and left the shop, excited about the project ahead. She spent the next few hours organizing her thoughts, imagining how she would arrange the pictures in their new home.
When she returned, the prints were neatly packed in several large envelopes. The vibrant colors of the photographs burst forth, showcasing the joy and triumphs of their escapades. There were images of her trio—Mia, Nelson, and Jake—in various heroic poses, their faces alight with determination and camaraderie.
There were also photos of the animals they had rescued: the playful foxes, the injured birds, and the curious chipmunks. Each picture told a story, capturing the essence of their efforts and the happiness of the animals they had helped.
Mia carefully carried the prints back to their new home, the envelopes stacked high. When she entered the living room, the others were busy arranging their rooms, so Mia decided to start with the display herself.
She began by laying out the large prints on the floor, arranging them to get a sense of how they would look on the wall. With each placement, the room began to transform, becoming a gallery of memories and achievements.
Rose walked by, her eyes widening at the sight. “Wow, Mia! This is going to look amazing. You’ve really captured so many great moments.”
Nelson peered over, a smile spreading across his face. “I love how you’ve got pictures of all the animals we saved. It’s like they’re all part of the family.”
Jake nodded in agreement. “Yeah, it’s like our own personal history wall. I can’t wait to see it all up.”
Mia beamed with pride as she hung the prints on the wall. She mixed large prints with smaller ones, creating a balanced and visually striking display. Some pictures were framed in colorful borders, adding a vibrant touch to the overall arrangement.
As the final photo was hung, Mia stood back, admiring the finished display. The wall was now a testament to their adventures, the animals they had rescued, and the bond they shared.
“It looks perfect,” Mia said, her voice filled with contentment.
