Chapter two-TPMIO

" Okay, Arin. Spin!" Mia cried, and Arin spun again. He was engulfed in orange and black ( kind of) and did circles a few times around the yard until Mia yelled, " Okay, done!"

Arin stopped, and Sora ran to him. " That was the longest you've ever done spinjitzu!" She cheered.

" Yeah, I guess."

Mia walked over to them, and said, " Okay, I got it." She looked at Arin and said, " The two reasons you can't do regular spinjitzu is because one: you're under confident of your spinjitzu. You think your spinjitzu isn't special, and that's holding you back. And two...." Mia paused. " Actually, I think it's only the first."

" So... I need to have confidence in my spinjitzu?" Arin asked. " But we all know it's wonky! I asked Neuro!"

Mia sighed. " And when was this?"

" Yesterday!"

" Oh, for Pete the parrots sake." Mia mumbled. " Neuro, please. There are some things we don't need to know." Then she looked up. " Wait, since when has he been a fortune teller?"

Arin shrugged. " Since the Merge, I guess."

" And where, may I ask, is he situated?"

" He was on a dragon, yelling stuff."

" Oh, Pete the parrot." Mia muttered.

"Pete the parrots sake?" Sora chuckled, the tension easing a little. "That's a new one, Mia."

Mia rolled her eyes. "Neuro," she began, her voice laced with exasperation, "can't a guy take a hint? There are things you tell a trainee, and things you, well, don't."

Arin hung his head, the weight of Neuro's harsh words pressing down on him. But then, Mia's next words surprised him.

"Alright, Arin," she said, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Let's try a different approach. Forget Spinjitzu for a second. Think about..." she paused dramatically, "cookies."

Arin blinked, unsure where she was going with this. "Cookies?"

"Yes, cookies," Mia confirmed. "Close your eyes and picture the most delicious, most mouthwatering cookie you can imagine. Think about the sweet, warm chocolate chip aroma, the soft, chewy dough..."

Arin closed his eyes, following Mia's instructions. He visualized a giant chocolate chip cookie, so fresh it was practically steaming. He could almost taste the gooey chocolate and the soft, buttery dough.

"Now," Mia continued, "imagine yourself spinning with the same level of enthusiasm you have for that cookie. Remember how excited you get when you know there's a fresh batch waiting for you? Channel that excitement into your Spinjitzu."

A hesitant smile tugged at Arin's lips. It sounded silly, but there was no denying the image of the cookie had sparked a flicker of joy within him. With a newfound determination, he took a deep breath and yelled, "Spinjitzu!"

This time, when he spun, there was a noticeable difference. The orange and black of his energy aura swirled with more intensity, and he managed a few more complete rotations before stumbling to a stop. Still wobbly, but definitely an improvement.

"Hey, that was better!" Sora exclaimed, clapping her hands. "See, Arin? It's all about confidence!"

Suddenly, a chorus of voices broke the silence. "What's going on here?" Lloyd asked, Kai and Nya trailing behind him.

Mia, ever the quick thinker, glanced at Arin and Sora. "Oh, nothing much," she said, her voice a touch too casual. "Just helping Arin with his..." she fumbled for a plausible excuse, "cookie delivery technique."

Lloyd raised an eyebrow, unconvinced. "Cookie delivery?"

"Yeah," Sora chimed in, trying to sound enthusiastic. "Arin's got a special spinjitzu move just for delivering cookies extra fast!"

Arin winced at the blatant lie, but he went along with it, a sheepish smile on his face. "Yep, super fast cookie delivery. Top secret ninja stuff."

Kai chuckled, shaking his head. "Alright, then. Just make sure those secret cookies aren't mine, okay?"

The tension eased once again, replaced by a sense of camaraderie. Mia, however, leaned in towards Arin and Sora, her voice barely a whisper. "We'll continue this later," she said, a determined glint in her eyes. "But for now, keep it a secret. We might be onto something big here."

Arin felt a surge of excitement. Maybe, just maybe, Mia was right. Maybe his wonky Spinjitzu wasn't holding him back after all. Maybe, it was just the key to unlocking something entirely new.

------------------

The late-night air crackled with nervous anticipation as Arin and Sora stood facing Mia in the deserted training grounds. Gone was their usual ninja attire; instead, Mia wore a flowing, star-speckled robe, reminiscent of a mystical wizard.

"Ready?" Mia asked, her voice hushed with a thrill that both unnerved and excited Arin and Sora.

"Ready!" they both chorused, trying to sound more confident than they felt.

Mia smiled, a mischievous glint in her eyes. She raised her hands, fingers spread wide, and began chanting in an unknown language. The words flowed from her lips in a strange, rhythmic melody, their meaning lost on Arin and Sora but their power undeniable.

As the chanting reached a crescendo, a swirling vortex of light materialized around them. It pulsed with an otherworldly glow, beckoning and yet intimidating. Arin's heart hammered in his chest, his breaths coming out in shallow gasps.

Without warning, Mia thrust her hands forward, pushing them into the vortex. A blinding flash of light engulfed them, followed by a sensation of weightlessness. The ground disappeared beneath their feet, replaced by a dizzying whirl of light and color.

They clung to each other, fear and excitement warring within them. Were they falling? Flying? They couldn't tell. The world spun around them, a kaleidoscope of swirling energy. Time seemed to lose all meaning as they were swept along on this whirlwind journey.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the light began to subside. Slowly, cautiously, Arin peeked through his eyelids. They were no longer in the training grounds.

They were floating, suspended in a vast, ethereal sea of swirling clouds. Below them, a landscape unlike anything they'd ever seen stretched out - a world bathed in an ethereal glow, filled with strange, fantastical creatures flitting through the air.

Arin's jaw remained slack, his eyes wide with a mixture of awe and terror. Sora, ever the pragmatist, seemed to snap out of it faster. Her eyes darted around the fantastical landscape, taking in the sights with a mix of curiosity and apprehension.

Then, without warning, a voice boomed in their minds, bypassing their ears entirely. It was deep, booming, and tinged with a playful amusement.

"Dropping in five..." the voice echoed, the words hanging heavy in the air.

Arin's fear solidified. Dropping? Dropping from where?

"Four...three..." the voice continued, a chilling countdown.

"Dropping to what?" Arin blurted out, his voice a panicked squeak.

Sora, ever the pragmatist, simply shrugged, her eyes scanning the ethereal clouds for any sign of danger.

"Two...one..." the voice boomed one last time, followed by an unnerving silence.

Suddenly, the ground beneath their feet, or rather the cloud they were standing on, dissolved into wisps of mist. Arin yelped, his scream cut short by the rush of wind as they plummeted towards the unknown world below.

The initial panic surged through them. But remembering Mia's words about confidence, Arin gritted his teeth. He wouldn't let fear paralyze him. He had to act.

A shared glance with Sora confirmed their plan. Reaching out with a surge of willpower, they both channeled their elemental power. Arin focused on the concept of structure and solidity, visualizing a sturdy platform beneath their feet. Simultaneously, Sora weaved lines of blue ( or, pink) code around the platform, adding a technological edge.

With a dazzling flash of orange and light pink, a platform materialized beneath them. It had a sleek, futuristic design, a combination of Arin's desire for stability and Sora's technological expertise. Knobs and buttons materialized at their fingertips, and a windshield shimmered in front of them.

"Whoa," Arin breathed, his fear replaced by a surge of accomplishment. "We did it! A techno-plane built with both our powers!"

Sora grinned, her confidence soaring. "Hold on tight, Arin! We're going for a ride we won't forget."

With a joint effort, they engaged the engines, and the techno-plane roared to life. Propelled by a combination of Arin's energy and Sora's futuristic propulsion system, they shot forward, narrowly dodging the swirling clouds in their path. Arin whooped with a mixture of terror and exhilaration, clinging onto the makeshift aircraft for dear life.

Sora, concentrating on the plane, couldn't help but smile. They were on an adventure they wouldn't forget.
