Chapter 3- PGW
" But that's impossible! M..my brother made sure of so!"
Clouse turned to her.
" Actually, he made sure that I couldn't get the lamp." Then, seeing her confused expression, retorted, " I'm not THAT old!"
" I never said you were."
" Yes, you did." Then, he narrowed his eyes. " You ninja made my life horror!"
" What?! H...how?" Mia scratched her head.
Clouse slapped his head.
" By banishing me!"
" Oh, thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat." Mia chuckled nervously. " Yeah, you kinda brought that on yourself."
" Did not! Garmadon also learned from Master Chen."
" Garmadon turned good!"
" Then bad again!"
Mia sighed. " He's actually trying to turn good again. For his son."
Clouse's eyes darkened with anger at Mia's words. "Enough talk!" he shouted, gripping the staff tightly. "Let's see how your wind fares against true magic."
Mia braced herself, summoning a gust of wind to push Clouse back. But with a flick of his staff, he conjured a barrier that deflected her attack effortlessly. The air around them crackled with energy as Clouse began to weave a spell, dark tendrils of magic snaking towards Mia.
Mia leaped into the air, using the wind to lift her above the oncoming attack. She countered with a whirlwind, hoping to disorient Clouse, but he stood firm, his magic protecting him. With another wave of his staff, he sent a bolt of dark energy hurtling towards Mia. She barely managed to dodge, feeling the heat of the blast as it passed by her.
Landing gracefully, Mia summoned a powerful vortex, aiming to trap Clouse within it. The winds howled as they closed in on him, but Clouse merely smirked, raising the staff high. The staff glowed ominously, and with a burst of dark magic, he shattered the vortex, sending shockwaves that knocked Mia off her feet.
Gritting her teeth, Mia got back up. "You may have magic, but I won't let you win," she declared, summoning a concentrated gale to propel herself forward. She aimed a swift kick at Clouse, but he blocked it with a magical barrier, then retaliated with a blast of energy that sent her flying backward.
Clouse laughed, his voice echoing through the night. "You're strong, Wind Ninja, but you're no match for the power of dark magic!"
Mia tried to fight back, but it was no use. Then, with a flick of his staff, he sent her crashing into the wall. Mia's head throbbed. But, just when Clouse was going to attack, he came.
" Get away from her!" He yelled, using his manipulating powers to take on the form of Mia.
" N...els..n?" She asked, weakly.
Nelson turned back, and smiled. Rather, tried to. His smiles came out really weirdly on Mia's face.
Clouse looked bewildered for a moment, his confidence shaken by the unexpected appearance of a second Mia. "What trickery is this?"
Nelson, still in Mia's form, stepped forward. "The kind that ends with you losing," he said, his voice steady.
Using Mia's wind powers, Nelson created a distraction, sending a gust of wind swirling around Clouse. The dark sorcerer struggled to maintain his footing, his attention divided. Mia, taking advantage of the distraction, pushed herself to her feet, despite the throbbing pain in her head.
She summoned the last of her strength and launched herself at Clouse, aiming for the staff. This time, with Nelson's help, she managed to knock it out of Clouse's grasp. The staff clattered to the ground, and the dark aura around Clouse flickered and dimmed.
"No!" Clouse shouted, reaching for the staff, but Nelson, still in Mia's form, grabbed it first and hurled it far away, out of Clouse's reach.
Clouse glared at the two Mias, his eyes burning with rage. "This isn't over," he spat.
" Yes, but it is for now." Nelson said, bravely.
Clouse snarled, and used his magic to fly away.
Nelson turned back and ran to Mia's side.
" Mia! Are you okay?!" He exclaimed.
" I....m. Don't....orr...out....e."
Those were the last words Mia said before she collapsed into Nelson's arms.
The last thing she heard, though, was Jay yelling, " Mia!"
