Administration... Lost Mech.... Wait... it that....?

" Yes, yes. I am here from the local Mech testing services." Mia said in a heavy British accent. " The Administrator called me here."

" The administrator?!" The agent asked. " She rarely speaks."

" Oh?" Mia forgot her accent. " Really?"

" Yep. In fact, we found her, fused to a Mech. It took a while to un-fuse her. Funny thing is, she's a nindroid, like the equipment Zane stolen."

Mia had the urge to kick his shin, but she resisted.

For now.

" So, may I check the Mechs?" Mia tried to move past, but the agent stopped her.

" We need to bring you to the Administrator." He said.

Mia gulped. No way was she gonna be able to pull that off without giving away her true identity.

Fortunately, destiny was on her side.

" Agent Yello ( Yes, they have weird names), the Administrator is busy, surveying through all the departments."

Mia sighed. She was saved.

For a second.

" But, her next department is the mech, so you may ask her if this mech person is authorized to be here."

Mia gulped, but before she could object, she was already whisked away. She shut her eyes tight. She was gonna be dead.

When she was set on the floor ( yes, they carried her), Mia's legs were jelly.

Then, the door opened, and Mia turned, nervously. She put her hands to her eyes and peeked through.

The person in front of her was a familiar nindroid.  Silver hair, circuit design on face, green eyes, and the Samurai X suit.

Without a second thought, Mia rushed to her and hugged her.

" Oh, Pix!" She exclaimed.

The cyborg, though surprised, hugged her too. " Mia?"

Mia pulled back and nodded her head vigorously. " Yes! You're alive, Pix!"

The agent cleared his throat. " Um, Ma' am, she is the wind ninja. Part of the ninja-"

" Who took Zane. Yes, I know."

Mia looked surprised. " You were the one who ordered for Zane's restraint?"

Pixel sighed. " Unfortunately. I didn't have my memory at the time, so....."

Mia smiled. " You remember now. That's what counts."

Pix nodded, although it wasn't happy.

" What? What happened? Was it something I said?"

Pixel sighed. " Mia, I know where your brother is."

Mia stared at her, wide eyed, before she fainted.
* A few hours later*

A few hours later, Mia slowly opened her eyes, the dim light of the room coming into focus. As she blinked, she felt a warm, comforting presence beside her. Turning her head slightly, she saw Kai sitting by her side, his arms wrapped around her in a gentle hug.

"Oh, good. You're awake," Kai said, relief evident in his voice as he pulled back slightly to look at her.

Mia blinked a few times, trying to shake off the grogginess. "Did you find Pix?" she asked, her voice a little weak but laced with concern.

Kai nodded, a soft smile on his face. "Yeah, she told us everything. Zane and Pixel are having a moment."

Just then, they heard joyful shouts and the unmistakable sounds of laughter and kisses echoing through the hall. The sound of Zane and Pixel’s happiness filled the air, and Mia couldn’t help but giggle at the sheer joy radiating from the couple.

Kai chuckled softly, giving Mia’s shoulder a gentle squeeze. "Seems like everything’s finally falling into place," he said, his tone light and hopeful.

Mia nodded, feeling a wave of warmth and relief wash over her. Despite all the challenges and fears, they were together again. And for now, that was enough.

Mia blinked a few more times, her mind slowly coming back to full consciousness. The warmth of Kai’s embrace was comforting, but the urgency she felt before she fainted still lingered in the back of her mind. She shifted slightly, trying to sit up, and Kai immediately helped her, his strong arms steadying her.

She glanced around the room, her eyes adjusting to the soft glow of the light that spilled in from a nearby window. The room was simple but familiar, with walls adorned with various tools and gear. A few chairs were scattered around, and a small table in the corner held a half-finished cup of tea. It was a safe place, but Mia couldn’t shake the gnawing worry that gripped her heart.

“Kai…” Mia began, her voice a little stronger now. She looked up at him, her eyes filled with a mixture of hope and fear. “Where is my brother? Where is Jay?”

Kai’s expression softened, but there was a flicker of something—concern, perhaps?—in his eyes. He took a deep breath, his hand still resting gently on Mia’s shoulder as if grounding both of them.

“Mia,” he started slowly, choosing his words with care, “Pixel told us everything she could remember. It’s… it’s a lot.”

Mia’s heart skipped a beat. The way he said it, the hesitation in his voice, made her stomach twist with anxiety. “Tell me,” she urged, her voice firmer now. “Please, Kai. I need to know.”

Kai nodded, understanding the urgency in her tone. He took a seat beside her on the edge of the bed, turning to face her fully. His gaze was intense, as if he were trying to convey the gravity of the situation with his eyes alone.

“Pixel remembered that Jay was taken by Ras,” Kai began, his voice low but clear. “Ras didn’t just take him… he manipulated him. Jay… Jay doesn’t remember us, Mia. He doesn’t remember you.”

Mia’s breath caught in her throat. The idea of Jay not remembering her, not knowing who she was, felt like a knife to her heart. Her brother, the one person she always thought she could count on, didn’t even know she existed. She swallowed hard, trying to push down the wave of emotion threatening to overwhelm her.

Kai continued, his hand now rubbing her back in slow, comforting circles. “Ras used some kind of dark magic, something ancient and powerful. It’s not just memory loss, Mia—it’s like he’s been… rewritten. His memories, his loyalties, they’ve all been twisted. Pixel said that Jay now thinks Ras is his master, that everything he knew, everything we are to him, has been replaced by Ras’s lies.”

Mia’s fists clenched at her sides, her knuckles turning white. She could feel the anger rising within her, a familiar burn in her chest that she had to fight to keep in check. “But… but where is he? Where did Ras take him?” she demanded, her voice trembling slightly.

Kai looked down for a moment, his expression pained. “They’re in the Dark Fortress, Mia. Deep in the Shadow Realm. It’s a place we’ve never ventured before. Dangerous, filled with traps and dark creatures. Ras is holding Jay there, using him as some kind of… guardian. He’s twisted Jay’s powers, made him stronger, but not in a good way. Pixel said he’s more dangerous now than he ever was before.”

Mia’s eyes widened in horror. The thought of her brother, her Jay, being used as a weapon, his mind corrupted and his heart twisted—it was almost too much to bear. But even as the fear and sorrow gnawed at her, a steely resolve began to build within her.

“He’s still in there, Kai,” Mia whispered, more to herself than to him. “I know he is. Jay might not remember us, but deep down, he’s still my brother. He has to be.”

Kai nodded, though his expression remained grave. “I believe that too, Mia. But we have to be careful. If we go to the Shadow Realm unprepared, we could lose him for good… or worse.”

Mia’s jaw tightened. She wasn’t going to lose Jay. Not after everything they’d been through, not after all the times they’d fought side by side. She stood up suddenly, her legs a bit shaky but her determination unwavering.

“Kai,” she said firmly, her voice steady now. “We’re going to get him back. I don’t care how dangerous it is, or how powerful Ras thinks he is. Jay is our family, and we don’t leave family behind. I’m going to the Shadow Realm, and I’m bringing him home.”

Kai rose to his feet as well, his eyes shining with a mix of pride and worry. “We’ll all go, Mia. You’re not doing this alone.”

Mia nodded, feeling a surge of gratitude towards Kai and the rest of their team. They had faced so many battles together, and now they would face this one too. But this time, it was personal.

She took a deep breath, steadying herself. “Let’s get everyone ready,” she said, determination etched in every word. “We’re bringing Jay back, no matter what it takes.”

Kai smiled softly, giving her a reassuring nod. “We’ll get him back, Mia. I promise.”

As they moved to gather the others, Mia couldn’t shake the image of her brother from her mind. Jay, trapped in that dark place, his memories stolen and his heart twisted. But she would find him. She would remind him who he was, who they were. She would bring him home.

No matter what.
