A VERY relaxing day
Two year old Mia giggled as she, again, rove Cole's car around town at an alarming speed.
Behind her, Jay and the others were crowded into Kai's car, driving after her.
" This was supposed to be a relaxing day! How does it always end up with us chasing her?!" Jay asked, throwing his hands up in exasperation.
As Mia drove Cole's car around town with wild abandon, she zoomed up a ramp and onto the roof of a nearby building. Jay, in the passenger seat of Kai's car, watched in disbelief as Mia's tiny car soared through the air and landed with a spectacular thud on another rooftop.
"Are you kidding me?!" Jay exclaimed, his voice a mix of shock and frustration. "She's driving on rooftops now?!"
Kai, trying to maintain control of his car while navigating the chaotic chase, muttered, "How did this become our life?"
Just then, Mia's car went airborne again, riding up the side of a building with impressive, if unintended, skill. She laughed gleefully as her little car made its way up, seemingly defying gravity.
Jay, watching in horror, clutched his seat as his eyes widened. "She's climbing buildings now?!"
Cole, who was driving alongside Kai, looked equally stunned. "I told you she had a need for speed, but this is next level!"
Mia's car finally landed back on the ground, and she continued her reckless journey, blissfully unaware of the chaos she was causing. She even had the audacity to honk cheerfully as she passed by, her tiny face beaming with joy.
"Jay, breathe," Kai said, trying to remain calm. "Just remember, she's only two."
Jay, still choking on his own astonishment, managed to sputter, "Two-year-old or not, she's making us look like amateurs!"
At that moment, Mia decided to add some extra flair. She took a sharp turn, sending her car skidding sideways with a screech. Jay and the others, now truly exasperated, exchanged glances of disbelief.
"You know," Cole said with a smirk, "if she ever decides to take a break from driving, she could definitely give those stunt drivers a run for their money."
Jay, finally managing to recover his composure, chuckled despite himself. "Well, at least we know she's got a future in extreme sports if the ninja thing doesn't work out."
As Mia's car continued its wild escapade, she defiantly stuck her tongue out at Jay and the others while zooming onto the tracks of an oncoming train. The little car bobbed up and down as it rode the train's roof, with Mia giggling uncontrollably.
"Is she seriously on a train now?!" Jay shouted, his voice tinged with disbelief.
Cole, who was quite terrified, couldn't help but yell, "This is crazy!"
Kai, gripping the wheel tightly, nodded in agreement. "You don't say! At this rate, she's going to end up in outer space!"
Mia, now performing a daring jump from one rooftop to another, honked her horn with glee, her tiny hands gripping the wheel with determination. As she made her way through yet another ramp, she waved cheerfully at the stunned onlookers below.
Jay, glancing at Cole with a mix of disbelief and resignation, said, "I'm not sure whether to be impressed or terrified."
Cole, shaking his head, added, "I'm leaning toward terrified. This is beyond anything we've ever chased."
As the chase continued, Mia's antics grew more extravagant, from dodging traffic to riding on the backs of moving vehicles. Jay and Cole exchanged glances, their shared sense of humor making them laugh despite the madness.
"I guess," Jay said with a grin, "this is what you get when you let a two-year-old take the wheel."
Cole laughed, his frustration melting away. "Yep. Definitely one for the books."
Finally, they caught up with Mia at an ice cream place. The sight was both hilarious and disheartening: Mia was sitting at a table, happily munching on a mountain of chocolate ice cream cones. Her face was smeared with chocolate, and she was clutching her 56th cone with pride.
Jay, his exasperation giving way to a mix of disbelief and amusement, said, "Really? Ice cream?"
Mia looked up at him innocently, her cheeks full. "You said ice cream is good. I wanted some."
Nya, still catching her breath from the chase, blinked in disbelief. "You're serious?!"
Mia nodded enthusiastically. "Yep, this is my 56th cone. I'm aiming for 5674843483836483."
Jay sputtered, his brain struggling to process the sheer volume of ice cream cones. "That's... that's not even a number!"
Cole, who had finally caught up, took a deep breath and checked Mia's ice cream stash. His eyes widened. "I think she actually means it. She's on cone number 56 and counting!"
Mia, blissfully unaware of the chaos she was causing, skipped back to the counter to get another cone. "I need more! I'm almost there!"
Nya, facepalming, said, "I'll go make sure... oh, great. Mia just got 56,674 scoops."
Jay, still trying to wrap his head around the situation, groaned. "This is definitely one for the books."
Nya, trying to keep her composure, added, "And here I thought we'd have a relaxing day."
As Mia continued to devour her enormous mountain of ice cream, the group couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. Despite the madness, they knew this was just another unforgettable adventure with their tiny, ice cream-loving daredevil.
Jay, finally managing to chuckle, said, "I guess it's safe to say she's got a serious sweet tooth."
Cole nodded in agreement. "And a knack for turning any ordinary day into an epic saga."
They all settled in for a moment of respite, watching Mia happily indulge in her ice cream, and relished in the bizarre yet delightful memory they'd created together.
After Mia polished off her monumental amount of ice cream, she cheerfully waddled over to Kai's car and climbed in, oblivious to the chaos she was about to cause. The car roared to life, its engine purring with a speed far beyond Cole's vehicle.
Jay, his face turning a shade of green, moaned, "I'm gonna go puke in the bushes and then we'll see what to do next."
Kai, spotting his car in motion and recognizing the impending trouble, yelled, "Hey! That's my car!"
Cole, his expression a mix of exhaustion and amusement, shrugged and said, "Welcome to the group."
As Kai and Cole watched helplessly, Mia's new ride sped off into the distance, weaving between traffic and leaving a trail of stunned pedestrians. Jay staggered to the bushes, clearly struggling with the aftermath of their wild chase.
"Looks like we're in for another round of Mia's adventures," Kai said, his frustration giving way to a resigned laugh.
Cole, trying to lighten the mood, added, "I think we should start investing in some stronger brakes for our cars."
Nya, who had caught up with them, shook her head with a bemused smile. "Well, if this keeps up, we'll have more stories than we know what to do with."
Jay, returning from the bushes and looking slightly better, managed a weak grin. "Let's just hope we can catch her before she decides to take a detour to another city."
With renewed determination and a shared sense of camaraderie, the group piled into Kai's car, preparing for the next chapter of their unpredictable adventure. As they sped off after Mia, the laughter and chatter continued, making it clear that, despite the chaos, they were all in this together.
As Mia's tiny car, now piloted by the intrepid toddler, zoomed away, the group watched in awe as it suddenly shot upwards into the sky. The car accelerated with unprecedented speed, leaving a streak of light behind as it rocketed into space.
Jay, still recovering from his earlier ordeal, looked up with wide eyes. "Are we seriously seeing this? Is she... is she going to space?"
Kai, clutching the steering wheel tightly, tried to process the sight. "That's my car! It's in space!"
Cole, ever the optimist, said, "Well, at least she's not driving on rooftops anymore. Now she's just defying gravity."
Nya, trying to make sense of the situation, added, "This day just keeps getting crazier. Space? Really?"
They all stared in disbelief as Mia's car continued its ascent, breaking through the atmosphere and into the vast expanse of space. The car's thrusters flared, propelling it farther from Earth.
Inside the car, Mia looked out the window in wonder, munching on her last ice cream cone as if it were the most normal thing in the world. She marveled at the view of Earth from above, oblivious to the frantic chase happening below.
Back on Earth, the team was scrambling to figure out their next move. Jay, still shaking his head, said, "Well, I guess we need to get up there and get her down before she decides to make a moon landing."
Cole, trying to find the humor in the situation, said, "At this point, we should just expect the unexpected."
Nya, with a sigh, agreed. "Alright, let's see if we can find a way to follow her into space. Maybe we'll need a rocket ship or something."
As the team made their way to the nearest space agency, their minds raced with plans and possibilities. They knew they had to act quickly to retrieve Mia and her car from their celestial adventure, and with determination, they prepared for the next extraordinary chapter in their ongoing saga.
Just as the team was preparing to embark on their space rescue mission, their phones buzzed with an incoming call. To their surprise, the caller ID showed a location on the moon.
Jay answered the call, his voice tinged with exhaustion. "Hello? Yes, we know, we know. Mia's up there, right?"
The voice on the other end, calm and slightly amused, replied, "Yes, indeed. We're on the moon, and your friend's car has made quite the impression here. We've been trying to keep an eye on her."
Jay rubbed his temples and sighed. "Of course, she's made it to the moon. What's the situation? How can we get her back?"
The voice chuckled. "Well, Mia's been having quite the time exploring. She's friendly with the moon's inhabitants and has already set up a small ice cream stand. But if you want to get her back, we'll need to arrange for a space shuttle to bring her home."
Kai, who had been listening in, spoke up. "We're on it. How long do we have?"
The moon representative responded, "We can keep an eye on her and make sure she's safe. Just let us know when you're ready for the shuttle."
Jay, still feeling overwhelmed, glanced at his friends. "Alright, we're heading to the space agency now to get this sorted out. Thanks for the update."
As the call ended, Cole shook his head with a grin. "So, Mia's made friends on the moon and set up an ice cream stand. That's definitely a new one."
Nya, smiling despite the chaos, added, "Well, at least she's safe and having fun. Let's get her back before she decides to open a space ice cream chain."
With renewed determination, the team raced to the space agency, ready to secure a shuttle and bring their adventurous friend back from her lunar escapade.
The team arrived at the space agency, quickly secured a shuttle, and launched into space with all the urgency they could muster. After navigating the vast expanse, they finally approached the moon.
As they touched down and emerged from the shuttle, they spotted Mia in the distance. To their bemusement, she was sitting on a moon rock, happily eating another ice cream cone while animatedly conversing with a particularly large, cratered rock.
"...and then I said, 'You can't just put a cherry on top!'" Mia was saying, gesturing with her ice cream cone as if it were a prop in an epic tale. "That's why you always have to check the toppings!"
Jay, Nya, Kai, and Cole stood in stunned silence for a moment before Jay finally broke the spell. "Is she seriously talking to a rock?"
Nya, her hands on her hips, sighed with a mix of exasperation and amusement. "Looks like it. And she's still eating ice cream."
Cole, trying to keep the situation light-hearted, said, "Well, at least she's made a new friend. And it seems she's having a blast."
Kai, stepping forward, called out, "Mia! We're here to take you back!"
Mia looked up, her face lighting up with a big smile. "Oh, hi, guys! Did you come all the way up here for ice cream? I've got plenty!"
Jay, shaking his head, walked over and gently took the ice cream cone from Mia's hand. "No, Mia. We came to get you. It's time to go home."
Mia blinked up at him, her expression a mix of surprise and disappointment. "But I'm having so much fun! And Rock here is a great conversationalist."
Nya chuckled and said, "We can come back another time. For now, let's get you back to Earth."
Mia pouted but nodded, understanding that it was time to go. "Alright, but I'm bringing Rock with me!"
Kai, shaking his head with a grin, said, "Rock stays here. But we'll definitely have to get you more ice cream on Earth."
As the team led Mia back to the shuttle, they couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation. They boarded the shuttle, and with a final wave to her lunar friend, Mia settled in for the journey back.
As they re-entered Earth's atmosphere and touched down, the team reflected on their wild adventure. Jay, looking at Mia with a mix of relief and amusement, said, "Well, that was one for the books."
Cole added, "Yeah, and I'm never underestimating her again."
( I wrote this when I was ten.)
I also have another one like this, but it's about touring random places with a toothbrush.
and Mia's eight in that story.
