Chapter 19: The truth is all i want

Chapter written by: LillaSmolBean & jdizzle
~~~~~
In the room, it was all silent at first. That is, until a violent breeze of wind danced along the objects in the room. The curtains swung back and forth, sounds of it being tattered around was emitted. The pictures set loosely on the wooden side table shook once or twice, but luckily, never fell. It would be an unpleasant feeling for the green ninja to step into the cracked glass frames when the morning comes. Even though it did happen, that wasn't the case for the wind passed by one more thing. A pair of blonde hair was suddenly slapped to the side. The boy's black pupils immediately opened. "Woah!" He whispered, thinking he was still in his peaceful dreamworld. Having being woken up by the gaushing breeze, Lloyd raised the upper-half of his body. The first thing he realized was the sides of his stomach hurting, more precisely, where his abdominals were. He winced and smiled knowingly, as if he already knew the cause of why he was hurting in that certain spot.
Could it be that I'm training too much?, He thought in his mind and slowly got out of bed. That was the only valid choice he could have thought of. It was the activity  he did that caused his body to stretch more than usual anyways. He didn't go on a twenty mile run with pauses every 2 miles. To be a ninja, you need to have to do things more difficult than that. Having stepped into the cold wooden flooring, Lloyd left his room only to be brought back in when he made contact with the starry skies. He pressed his hand over the hallway wall and gasped lightly. Once again, he was lucky enough to see the stars. He never understood why he loved them so much. Possibly because they were so bright? That they represented to the ninja a deep meaning of hope? That was something very limited in Lloyd's life. For people, especially the ones the closest to him, betrayed him all the time. But he had to thank the stars for this palsy week. Thanks to their signification of hope, he got his beloved father back, his beautiful lover and he already knew that his patient mother was waiting for him back in the cells of Kryptarium.
Someone can easily get used to having their eyes fixed on light even though they just woke up. There was just one exception to that rule, it had to be blue light? Why blue light? Because it's the coloured luminosity that one's eyes can just used to even when looking at it for only a minute. When Lloyd was finally considered 'awake', he walked back out of the sleeping quarters and was greeted by the back of one of his comrades. They were leaned against one side of the Bounty's rails and watched as nightfall was reluctantly coming. Lloyd already knew who it was just from their posture. It was a rough yet elegant one. Rough, because they seem to be pressing almost all of their weight onto the railings but elegant because of the fact that their stance in general was very lady-like. Their body leaned forward, with the exception of their legs. They were the ones that kept her balance of the rails weren't enough. Then there was the person arms, both of its palms were pressed onto their cheek as if they would get bored easily. They were place there in case she wanted to twirl with her hairlock strands. Lloyd advanced and spoke gently, trying not to startle the observer: "Hi Nya. What are you doing out here? Do you know what time it is?"
The water ninja's shoulders raised at the sound of his voice. It would be rude not to face him, thus that's what she did. She turned to him and gave a relieved smile that he wasn't someone as sketchy as Garmadon or the seen snake generals that she never really bumped into years ago. "You shouldn't be talking Lloyd. What are you doing here at 12 in the morning, huh?" She teased. Not even bothering to turn her head to the control room's screen to check for the time. It was like she read it from his eyes. Though Lloyd gave a startled reaction when she clarified the time. He even glanced at the screen himself to check if she was right. Which to his dismay, she was. The digital numbers at the top left corner displayed: 12:10AM. He sighed and felt a cold breeze enter his nose. "The wind woke me up." He said quickly. Nya chuckled a bit on that response of his. "You didn't try going back to sleep?" She inquired. In which the blonde shook his head, even uninterested to fall back asleep.
"Ok, I said my reason to why I'm here. What's yours?" He lifted a brow afterwards and placed two of his palms on his waist. There was a brief moment of silence, the two individuals didn't move for about a mere minute until Nya broke their fragile trance by shifting her head back to the front. She lifted her head up and stared at the stars once again. Its gentle light came twinkling down on her pale cheeks. "You see, I came here tonight because I realized that I haven't taken even a single minute to consider my actions for this team. It was always work work work, fight fight fight. But to what avail? None so far. That's all I know." She huffed slightly irritated. Lloyd shook his head and was about to remind her that she has done enough for this team until her hand stopped him. Nya clarified. "No, I'm not doubting myself Lloyd. I'm just, worried that Ninjago city will be under this mess for much longer. We need to make a plan." She narrowed her eyebrows. Then frowned for a second. "It would have been so much easier if we had the guys to help us cope with this whole situation. Already leaving us independent, life? That's so not fair..." she vented.
Lloyd patted her back. "Yes I know life isn't fair. I learned that the hard way. But you know one thing? Just because life is throwing all of sudden hard events at us, it's like the FSM is planning all of this. He knows our weaknesses and strengths. He wants one thing that all of us have to awaken this moment. That is our independence. We need to stay strong Nya. We will save Ninjago city but we can't save it in one day can we now? We need to prepare. First, we need to take down that storm colossus. I say, we make up a plan in the morning. When everyone is awake." He suggested. Nya couldn't really object to that plan even though she wanted to take action in these present hours. She looked down and faced Lloyd. "I think the others would appreciated it as well if we waited." Her lips slowly formed a smile. Knowing that she'd stay silent on her part, Lloyd took that advantage to dismiss her.
"Go back to sleep Nya. We have a lot to talk about in the morning." He told her softly.
Without lamenting any longer, Nya left the boy be on the deck. "You as well, Lloyd. Don't stay here much longer than an hour alright? The ship will officially be unguarded." She reminded. Though the boy shook his head and already had his eyes on the navy white dotted skies. "I can handle myself, thanks." He said quickly and from there, he heard light footsteps retreat into the sleeping quarters' hallway. Lloyd sighed and smiled at the view. That was until his serenity was interrupted at loud footsteps leaving the sleeping quarters' hallway. He flinched. "Nya? Did you forget something?" He called to the girl in which he spoke to a few minutes ago. But instead, his black pupils met with deep blood coloured ones. He raised a brow. "Dad? What are you doing awake?" He questioned.
~~~~~~
Not wasting another minute, they charged head on. Lloyd found a sword against a pillar of the ship and deflected everything his father threw at him. As for Garmadon spawned some. Their swords clanged and echoed. His father jumped high and brought his sword down on him. Lloyd held his blade in front of him and they were both stuck; pushing the swords with all of their strength. Lloyd jumped back and his father stumbled a few feet. Lloyd took advantage of this and started his Spinjitzu. He spun into a mesmerizing green tornado and shot towards Garmadon. His father jumped to the side. Lloyd stopped the tornado only a few feet away from his father.

Lloyd swung at his father several times, who was dodging them with difficulty.Garmadon slashed his sword and smacked Lloyd's sword out of his hands. Garmadon started to chuckle as he grabbed Lloyd and pinned him to the wall. "what's so funny?" Lloyd questioned. "Just this charade, you didn't really think I changed did you?" Garmadon asked. Lloyd froze. "W-what?" He asked. Garmadon backed away a few feet, grinning. Then, without warning, lunged straight at Lloyd's chest. Lloyd ducked, rolling over on the ground. "So everything was a act?!" Lloyd screamed out in anger. Garmadon raised his hand, shooting his powers at Lloyd, hitting him in the chest and sending him spiralling through the air. He landed a foot or so away from garmadon. "But I promised you..... that I would..."  Lloyd started to say, heart broken. "Promises are made to be broken."  garmadon told him.

Garmadon used his power to summon a large rock and hurled it with all his strength at the Phantom. It managed to almost hit Lloyd, but didn't have the desired effect, quite the opposite. "I trusted you!" Lloyd gasped out but Garmadon kicked him hard in the stomach. It caused him to fall down. When Lloyd was down, garmadon walked towards the ledge. "See you later green ninja. You were never my son. Nor my concern. You never mattered. I don't care about you."  with that he jumped off. Lloyd busted out crying. He cried into his knees. It was so loud, doors were heard opening.  And footsteps coming into the deck. He didn't care he was too consumed in his tears.

When he heard a gentle voice: "Lloyd? Are you okay?" He knew that voice. It was Harumi, but he didn't stop. "Lloyd what's wrong?"  Nya tried as well.  "What happened?" Pythor asked. "Where's garmadon?"  Ultra Violet piped in. That name made Lloyd cry harder.  "Lloyd you're scaring us, please you can tell us anything?" Harumi reminded him worried. Lloyd didn't stop crying but he finally answered. "I-It...was a charade." he shakily bit out not looking up. "What was a charade?" Skylor asked. She probably knew what it was but due to being half-asleep at the moment, she couldn't think straight. "Garmadon! Pretending to care and love about me again. It was a act! Everything! It was all fake!" Lloyd explained rather harshly.  Everyone gasped. "I-I.. feel like... my heart has been broken for the second time." Lloyd said in between sobs. "Why does destiny hate me?" He glared at the sky. Tears rolling down his already wet cheeks.

No one knew what to say or do, Harumi rushed forward pulling him into a embrace on the ground. Lloyd didn't feel like recovering a hug but it was rude not to. He accepted the embrace anyways. "I'm so sorry he hurt you, Lloyd. But at least you still have all of us right?" Harumi made him remember.  Lloyd flinched at her words. It was true. He still had all these people right here, those who would never give up on him. That made him smile the slightest. As everyone came into the embrace. "I'll always be here. Lloyd we all will. We will never leave you. You'll always be my little brother. No matter how old you get." Nya joked towards the end. Lloyd smiled knowing he still had a family that cared about him, he didn't need Garmadon. He still had these people. "Thanks guys. I love you all."  Lloyd told them, wiping his free hands to wipe his tears. I'm still a little sad through, Lloyd thought to himself. "Anytime." Harumi told him. Lloyd looked at ultra Violet to see that  her hair wasn't in a ponytail anymore. "Um ultra Violet..."  he started. She sighed. "Don't start!" She threatened, following with a hiss. Everyone laughed.

" Everyone get some sleep tomorrow. We plan to take down Garmadon once and for all!" Lloyd encouraged them, despite his still gloomy state. Everyone nodded as they all headed to the sleeping corners. Meanwhile, Garmadon watched as the happy family went away. He felt something but shook it off. "I'm sorry it has to be like this son." he muttered heading back to Borg tower.

End of The Hunted Arc Part 1
~~~~~~
A/N Hi guys! LillaSmolBean here! So first off, I'd like to clarify that this isn't the end of Reconciled hearts! It's only the ending of the Hunted Arc part 1, part 2 will be published three weeks from now since me and the other co-writer: jdizzle will be taking a short break to plan out our ideas for this book. As well as take a break in general. I presume that we're both generally busy so we'll use this break to our advantages. Anyways, next thing, you may have noticed that this chapter was written by the both of us? Yeah about that, I had trouble whilst writing a proper fight scene between Garmadon and Lloyd. Due to lack of motivation for this fandom now a days but Jdizzle was kind enough to help me out here. So I'd like to thank her for that! That's the end of my author's note guys. Since jdizzle wrote this chapter too, I'll give the "quill" to her! Bye!
What is up you guy's! Whoo Jdizzle is in the house, everyone put their hands up, jk anyway, like Lilia said this isn't the end of the book, Just part one of it. I liked writhing the heart between Lloyd and his family, after garmadon showed his true colors. I almost started to cry because I thought it was really sweet. Also to keep the mood up I wrote something about having ultraviolet's hair down, I thought that would lighten the mood, a little. I'm sorry if we got you guy's with the whole garmadon turning good thing! Sorry about that me and Lillia were actually discussing I can't remember how long ago it was but. I suggested garmadon getting captured by the resistance, but we both talked it over and decided garmadon was to over powered for that to happen. But I guess not because you know. Anyway I hope you have a great day or night and I'll see you guy's later! Jdizzle signing out Peace!
