Chapter 4: The tricks to fool others

It had been a few weeks ever since the incident at the park that costed the boy's liberty to walk for the next few days. It was quite ironic actually. According to the doctors, he had been going on and on about desperately wanting to leave this dreadful place. He had obviously not been in hospitals much, not even doctors' appointments. However, seeing his best friend go around town, doing her best to live up the small blonde boy's reputation as the: 'terrifying son of Lord Garmadon', he chuckled and didn't really think much about his disability for the meantime. A crowd of other kids entered the injured boy's field of vision.
"Hey, go up to those kids over there and say: 'give me all of your candy or else I'll destroy all of your homes!'" Lloyd exclaimed, going wild, already sitting down on the bench. Harumi brought back a wagon full of candy back to him and sheepishly smiled at his request. "I don't know...they look intimidating." She informed him while taking a look at the three kids that were about 6 meters away from them. She fixed her sleeves a bit, the costume was a bit too big on her when it came for the sleeves. Lloyd was about to burst into a fit of disappointment after hearing what she said. "Aw come on! But you're tougher! So please try and steal' their candy!" He raised his arms in ambition. The blue skies reflected upon them. Thus, Harumi sighed and nodded, leaving the boy behind with a spectacle to watch.
In the three kids' field of vision, there was a black-clad girl approaching them. One kid wore a red t-shirt that was slightly sticking out despite being tucked in. The girl of the group had a purple frilly dress with white pearl earrings and the last kid was all dressed in a blue tar-tar shirt. Rumi pointed at them and gave the best menacing look she could pull off despite her eyes not being too visible. "Hey you! Give me your candy!" She directly demanded for their sweets. The boy in red chuckled and walked circles around the short girl. Rumi felt uncomfortable as the two others that stood in place, laughed at her puny introduction. "And who are you supposed to be? The grim reaper?" The red- cladded boy continued and even dared to poke the side of her head. The small girl, obviously stumbled back at his action.
"I-I may as well be!" retorted the black-hooded child in pure mortification. There was one thought that crossed her and Lloyd's minds up until now. Yep, these guys were bullies and they weren't planning on backing down without a fight. The blonde boy, who was sitting by the bench, stood up despite feeling pain swell up on his cast. He gasped and immediately wobbled back down onto the bench. "Right...I never taught her how to deal with those type of guys.." muttered thus. However, a few scolds broke Lloyd out of his thoughts. When he whipped his head upwards and faced the four kids, he couldn't believe what unfolded before his very eyes. "Why you- why you-!" growled an enraged Harumi, who was currently behind the three kids. Her small hands made their way to her waist as she grabbed something from inside the black-hood's pouches. There, she took out a wrapped-up lollipop.
"Try to defeat this!" She screamed and brought her left hand, the one holding the sweet treat towards the red-shirt boy's face. She violently stabbed the lolipop's stick into his cheek and due to the recoil, she waited a few minutes before hitting the boy's right eye with the actual treat up the sticks. The black-hooded girl huffed as she watched the red-coded boy fall to the ground. She turned to face the purple and blue-coded kids. She brought a hand forward and did a 'come closer' gesture. "You better give me your sweets unless you want to be knocked out! " she threatened. The blue boy clenched his fists. He said: "You're just a brat. I'll put you into your place." He stormed in Rumi's direction.
Luckily, Rumi was shorter than the blue-coded kid. She sloppily twisted her small body to right and seeing the boy lean forward to walk towards her. She's gotten an idea. Using the momentum of the ground to hoist her up, she leaped off the dirt and landed on the blue-clad kid. He didn't expect that action for he started fidgeting adjudged in pure confusion. "E-Eeh? H-Huh?" He wondered. Though, when he realized what had just happened, it was too late. Harumi's face was already close to his neck. "Put me in my place? I'd like to see you try." She grinned broadly before biting into the kid's neck. The boy let out a scream of agony as she refused to let go right away. All the purple-codes girl could do was watch in pure shock and fear.
The biting lasted for about 2 minutes before the black-hooded girl dismounted from her target and saw how his tall build just collapsed right beside his friend, the red T-shirt kid. The blue kid fell on his stomach thus his back pockets were exposed to Harumi. She helped herself in gathering up her loot. In that case, the candy. She unwrapped a yellow-striped candy wrapped and put the remains in the hoodie's pocket. Showing that she has atleast a bit of moral. She glared at the purple-dressed girl and plopped the candy in her mouth. Without saying a word, Rumi turned her back and began walking off, more focused on not chocking because she accidentally swallowed the sweet without breaking it into smaller pieces, which turned out to be hard-candy. When she returned to Lloyd,
The boy had no words. He let his expression do all the talking, "Wow! Rumi that was- you were so awesome! And here I thought you never fought in your life!" He praised her the minute she was seen walking back to him. The boy was giving off an appreciative and stunned look as well, he started clapping. Harumi rubbed the back of her head and giggled, taking a seat beside him and showing him all the sweets she managed to pickpocket from the blue kid. It was a beige bag full of fruity hard candy.
"Oh I never fought in my life. I just managed to age a few tricks up my sleeves." She admitted and plopped another one of those small candies in her mouth. Lloyd's hand trailed down to the bag and he took a green-coloured sweet out and ate it. "Tricks?" He was curious to know what she meant by that. Harumi stood up,
"You see, that's why you shouldn't judge adorable short girls because they can be deadly! The trick to fooling others that you're meant to be strong is just showing them head-on that you mean business! You don't need to hide your identity, i mean, who does that?" responded Harumi with a giggle.
Yet, she never got to the point of realization that she'd have to contradict her own words in the future.

If you did, make sure to leave a vote and comment down below your thoughts! Alrighty, I'll end this author's note here. Bye guys!
