Under the warmth of the summer sun and soft wind wafting through their hair, were two kids by a swingset. One was soaring high in the sky while the other was rocking back and forth, not really planning on catching up to their playmate. Causing the boy to enter a state of bewilderment, he was abruptly approached with a question. "Ice cream or cake, Lloyd?" The short girl he was playing with, requested an answer, passing his swing by a hair's breadth. That's one problem about the Ninjago parks. The swings were too close with one another. The water fountains occasionally not working was an addition. Neither less, Lloyd and Harumi loved the park. Trying to think to a response to the girl's inquiry, he shrugged, not too sure. "It's been awhile since I've tasted both honestly. A lollipop was enough for me." gave such a response.

The recoil from the rocking made the other child's words a bit hard to understand. "Aren't lollipops a dull treat? Plus, they heat up in the sun. I'm surprised they don't melt like ice cream though." She pouted and kept her legs still in a prone position. Lloyd didn't turn to face her after she remarked something like that. "You see, that's the only thing I'm capable in stealing. Everyone in Ninjago city should give me their lollipops." He grumbled quietly. It was enough for Harumi to hear however. As the speed of her rocking slowed down and she was close to the ground, she kicked her left leg to hopefully grip onto a hole of sand that would be dug when she placed her foot down. She got off the swing and stretched. The rays of light hitting her face.

"If I had a lollipop, you wouldn't steal mine, right?" She tested her new friend's loyalty despite it only being the next day. The boy looked down at his swing's seat. He was sitting sideways. His legs were on each side of it instead of being both in front. His cheek fell on the chains. "Depends. If you get on my nerves or in my way." He replied coldly. He didn't mean to though. For him, it wasn't really a harsh retort but more of a simple phrase he would talk to others. They didn't need to mind but why did Harumi look at him with those eyes? The blonde stopped stretching and turned to Lloyd with  a hurt expression. The boy realized that there was a clear difference the Ninjago folks and Harumi. The people didn't care about a wannabe-villain child was roaming the streets while there's people like Rumi herself who cared about how he's trying to play part in this city. He didn't know how to interact with those kind of people. To his surprise, she pulled through with her positivity.

"Nah it's alright! It's just a lollipop. I would rather give it to you anyways since you like them so much." She chimed and walked forward, she was now out of the vicinity where the swings were. It took a few moments for Lloyd to understand that she wanted him to follow her. There was verbal silence between the two children, but a bell's chime coming from birds that played with your heartstrings. Wanting to engage in another conversation with this girl, "Rumi? What do you prefer? Ice cream or cake? Unless you don't like either." He added the extra bit at the end by accident. The girl, who was in front of him made her way to the slides. Before she arrived to the small structure that held slides, bars and a sandbox right beside, "Oh that's easy! I've always liked the taste of ice cream. Since summer's my favourite season. It's great to enjoy a cool treat like that!" Smiling like she pulled out a feral creature out of a bush, she faced Lloyd with complete overjoy. The boy was disgusted at first that someone could be so naïve to trust the one and only son of Garmadon.

But when he took a closer look at Rumi's expression, he can conclude that this smile was sweet. One of the sweetest ones he's ever seen a Ninjago citizen pull off. He would even have the courage to say that this smile was sweeter than lollipops and ice cream combined.
