For Harumi, this was one of the best days of her life. "Happy birthday Rumi!" The blonde boy greeted his best friend with a green bag. It was rather small in size but that's not counts when it comes to presents. It's the actual effort in picking something that the other person would like. He gave her the bag, with a cheerful smile on his lips. The blonde girl's eyes looked down and her fingers artistically unwrapped the strings that closed the bag. "What's this? More candy?" She teased, already being able to tell that inside were more of those sugary sweets that the two of them would feast on after picking bags from other kids in town.

Lloyd shook his head, "well you see. There's something particular about this one. These are candy hearts. I thought they had a unique form and plus, we only really see them on one occasion, am I right?" corrected her with a confident statement.
Harumi pulled a small heart-shaped sweet and inspected it closely. She could just about see the little bubbles sinking into the chocolate sweet. "I've never seen them before. I don't think any kids had them on them." She reasoned. Lloyd waved a finger in front of her. "They cost a bit more than normal candy. They use a fine coat of chocolate and even dared add fudge on the inside." He explained. Harumi giggled. "If you picked these, you sure do have a sweet tooth." She teased. The blonde boy blushed at that and retorted: "hey! You should already know that about me, besides..aren't you too?"

For Violet, this was the worst day of her life. The girl found herself getting in even more trouble every day. People were mocking her or even framing her for incidents she was never present in the first place. Ever since Rumi's revenge's videos went viral twice this month, people weren't afraid of the grey-skinned maniac. She practically lost her dominance in the school house.

A few sighs were heard in an almost empty room. Violet leaned forward as the superior in front of her gestured her to. The verdict had been decided. "Listen I don't know how else to tell you this. But, you are hereby expelled from this school, Miss Violet." The principal of Ninjago's school house announced. The only look that the pre-teen could give was mild fury.

"No! You can't do that! I won't let you!" She attempted to scold back. Violet was raised differently. The fact that she was born without parents, it really thought her to behave differently when it comes to others. The only person who she respected with honesty was the boy in her class: Killow. So therefore, the principal of the schoolhouse didn't have a superior class than her. "I'll slaughter you if you try something." Violet threatened. The principal took offense to that. "That's verbal harassment. Not to mention towards your superior. Gives me another reason to expel you, misbehaviour. Please, get out of this school, Miss Violet. No but's, you are no longer a student here." She declared and stood up. Violet sat there, with a smug expression on her face.

She just chuckled. "Oh I get it. You want to play with fire huh?" She stood up from her chair and approached the principal, who naturally, stepped back. The student was getting closer in a menacing way. She pulled out a metallic object from her vets jacket. She smiled eagerly and aimed the object, which turned out to be a weapon, to the principal's neck. "This here is a scythe. I learned how to use one in first grade. So I'm pretty experienced." She tossed it in the air and dug it in her opponent's neck. The principal gasped, she raised her hands. "Violet, p-put that down..." She demanded weakly yet so fearfully. But the student rejected the idea. The next thing she did was take out another content, this time from her pockets. It was duct tape. Not to mention, there was a wardrobe in the room. Most people could guess what she intended to do.

Outside, was the tall boy who was walking out of the schoolhouse. It was the end of the day and he was one of the few students to leave the place right away. That was because he had to help a student out by their club room. Killow wasn't a member of any club in particular. Taking his sweet time to enjoy the summer scenery, the boy was near the gate when he noticed someone by the gates itself. He walked up to the, since he recognized who it was. "Violet?" he called out to the lone pre-teen, leaned on the metallic gates, she had a scythe. His first assumption was: "Those are fake right?" he questioned, feeling a tad scared though, it wasn't the first time Violet brought a weapon to school. The girl who recently acknowledged his presence, shook her head and gestured him to follow her. "Nope, these are the real deal."

"What took you so long by the way?" asked her friend who followed her out of school. The two used the same path to go home until they reached the subway. Killow's home was right near the station while Violet had to go inside of the train station. It is unknown to Killow till this day if she uses the subway. It's been 5 years that they've known each other. "Me? Nothing, just the principal wanted to see me." She growled and spun the weapon on her fingers. Killow lifted a brow at that. "Uh huh? Wanted to see you for what?" he kept asking her questions. If this was a normal student, she would have already sliced his head off, but she actually felt glad that Killow cared so much, on her well-being that is. She sighed and brushed the question off with a simple: "You know, the usual. Got" in trouble like usual."

Killow shook his head. "What did I tell you about mischief?" He tugged her sleeve and Violet dismissed him immediately. "Nothing, you didn't tell me anything." She smiled for a bit, but it wasn't a genuine amused smile, just a forced one for the occasion. Trust me, she loved Killow's company at the moment. "Nothing at all. So don't start lecturing me about the facts of mischief." She stopped walking all off a sudden. Killow passed her and stopped a few millimeters in front. He didn't realized the shining red light in front of him. He turned to Violet for clarification. "Why did you-" he was cut off by Violet giggling. "Klutz! Didn't spot the red light I see?" She pointed with one finger at the stoplights. Killow huffed and shook his head.

"Klutz? You do realize that you jay-walk from time to time?" His statement was abruptly stopped when Violet began walking again, she tapped his shoulder, since she was too short for him. If she was the same height, she would have slapped his head. "Hah! I still do!" The maniac girl took her tongue out and sprinted across the other side of the sidewalk. Killow stood there, dumbfounded. "Hypocrite! You had me done in!" He cried. The lights turned green at that.

Now reaching the station, Violet took a moment to sigh. "Well, this is goodbye." She faced the metallic subway doors. Her companion, who caught up to her, panted for a few seconds before rubbing the back of her head. "What do you mean goodbye? Stop being so dramatic Violet. It's only Wednesday. Besides, we have 3 more weeks of school left." He informed her when he finally got his breath back. She shook her head and for the first time in weeks, he captured a sad smile on her lips. She made her way towards the subway doors. "Remember when I said I went to principal?" she started off. Killow gulped, one thought came into his mind, but he didn't want to think that was the case. "Did you get suspended for a few days-" he was cut off by Violet growling. "That woman dared expel me! How dare- she! Ugh!" she sighed to calm down.

She turned to Killow with sad eyes. "That's it. My time of mischief in that school is over, right? It's finally over right? I'm actually going to- I'm gonna have fun somewhere else...finally, but-" she paused as immediately. As if on cue, her face flushed and her grey cheeks were stained with tears. She sniffled, "but why does it hurt so bad? Wouldn't it be fun? Wouldn't it?" She tried to protest but she entered the sobbing stage. Killow, had own tears in his eyes. "Violet...you're.." he mentioned but was cut off by the girl who screamed. "I'm not crying! You are!" She pushed him aside to no avail. The boy always was stronger than her. He chuckled and instead, pulled her in a hug. "You know...I want to admit something before you leave me for...probably forever." He told her gently. When she pulled her arms away from the hug, she wiped her eyes. "And what's that?"

He pulled her away from the hug completely. "You know Violet, you're a superb friend and...I don't know what to do without you for the last 3 weeks. I've realized that I...mostly looked up to you as my only advice source, you made me laugh, made me happy and most importantly, i realized, made me realize a new feeling, you made me realize how much I've fallen for you for these past 5 years." He smiled, his cheeks becoming pink at the confession. Violet blushed as well. "Killow are you-" She was cut off by the first time today by the boy himself. He nodded and looked in another direction. "You know, teens our age shouldn't be in love. But love is a great thing, I've realized. It's warm, it makes me happy on the inside. I want to share that love with you. If...that's alright?" He looked back at her and extended one palm and left it wide open. Violet smiled as well and placed her palm in his. "Are you kidding? Heck yeah. I'd like to experience this feeling of love with you. We're friends and possibly more?"

Lloyd, Harumi, Killow and Ultra Violet all learned something that faithful day. One summer day in their youth, under the cherry-blossom coloured skies mixed with fluffy white clouds, reminding one of the bittersweet sentiments flying all around. Despite the four kids being rather young, it was pretty impressive and sweet that from this day forward, they understood what love is. However, as time goes by, as the kids get older, their opinions on love change.

A/N: There you go guys! That's chapter 10 and also the ending of what I like to call: "The Flashback Arc"! Me and ColeLikesCake definitely enjoying writing the first 10 chapters of the story for you guys! I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as we have. Now, I wanted to say a few things in this AN.
