Young Lloyd Garmadon had wandered into a park in Ninjago city. Being the son of the evil Lord Garmadon, he of course tried to scare everyone so he could be like his dad. The adults stared at him probably wondering what he was doing and younger kids ran away from him. While walking he spotted a girl with light blonde hair. She was giggling and trying to get her parents to play with her. Lloyd walked over to the cheerful girl. He threw wood chips at her face. She didn't seem to mind. "Is this a wood chip fight!? If it is then I declare war on you!" she said in a happy tone and started to build a wood chip fort. Soon, the girl was throwing wood chips at Lloyd. "HEY! STOP HITTING ME, LLOYD GARMADON THE SON OF THE EVIL LORD GARMADON, WITH WOOD CHIPS!" he yelled whining at her. She shook her head.

"Nope! You started it!" she said. Lloyd groaned and decided to play with the girl. They played tag and hide and seek after the fight. Lloyd was actually having fun playing with the girl. They were playing for a couple of hours. She was looking at Lloyd now. "That was fun Lloyd! My name is Harumi by the way! Do you want to be friends?" Harumi asked Lloyd. Lloyd thought for a second before looking at her and smiling. "Yeah sure! I may be evil but that doesn't mean I can't have a friend!" he says. Harumi's parents got up. "Harumi it's time to go home!" her mother said. "But mommy I'm playing with my friend!" she pouted. Her dad and mom looked at each other then at Harumi. "Well ask him if he wants to come over then. We need to get home for dinner. It's getting late." her dad says. Harumi runs over to Lloyd. "Lloyd do you want to come to my house for dinner!?" Harumi asks hoping he says yes. "Ok! I haven't eaten much lately anyways." he says and Harumi grabs him by the hand and starts dragging him to her place which was an apartment.

When they got inside, her and Lloyd started drawing pictures. Harumi peeked over at Lloyd's drawing. "What are you drawing?" she asks curiously. "My dad." he says finishing the outline of the drawing. Harumi went back to drawing her thing. She was a fast drawer and was fast at coloring. She then wrote something on the top. "I'm done drawing Lloyd!" she says and shows him. It said 'Lloyd and Harumi' at the top of the paper and it was a picture of them. "I drew it for you to celebrate our new friendship!" she says and randomly pulls him into a hug. "We are gonna be best friends! I just know it! We will be friend forever and there isn't anything you can do to change that!" she says and lets go of Lloyd. Lloyd then finishes the drawing of his dad. "You can have my drawing. It can be like a drawing swap or something. You are my first friend after all. I know it's nothing like you did but-" Harumi cut her off. "Lloyd I love it so much! Thank you!" she says happily and Lloyd gives it to her and she gives Lloyd her drawing. Soon after it was time for dinner.

They both ate and Lloyd really liked it. "Wow is this what real food tastes like? I've only eaten candy...that and vegetables...ew!" he says and Harumi chuckles. After dinner Harumi and Lloyd watched some TV. They watched something on the news channel. After the show, the news came on and was reporting some kid with a black ponytail beating up people at a school who even just looked at her in a queer way. They said her name was Violet or something like that. "Hey I've seen her at the park once! She was trying to beat up this kid in orange who just looked at her." Harumi says. The two were actually enjoying this news report because it was funny and because they had each other to watch it with. Lloyd stayed over until it was time for Harumi to go to bed. She begged her parents to let him stay over but they said not today. Lloyd promised to meet up with her again tomorrow. "Bye Lloyd!" she says to her new friend who was holding her drawing. "Bye Harumi." he says back. Just before he left, Harumi said something. "Oh and Lloyd, you can just call me Rumi!" she said and Lloyd smiled. He left the apartment afterwards.
