Cole POV

Making a cake. Sounds easy. Did I just jinx myself? Maybe. Let's get started. 

I look at the recipe. It calls for 13/4 cups of flour. 13 quarters of flour. Where do I get that? Oh well. I take 3 and a quarter cups of flour, since I'm not failing math, I hope, and pour them all in a mixing bowl. Huh. Looks a lot. Maybe this cake is a flour cake. 

Next, 2 cups of sugar. Hmmm. A cake is supposed to be sweet, and I don't think two small cups of sugar will work. Whatever, the recipe didn't mention anything about cup size. I take two drinking cups and pour sugar into it, before adding the sugar into the bowl. 

Then, 3/4 c cocoa powder. What in the world is c cocoa powder? Maybe it's a brand. I search online and find a brand that starts with c and sells cocoa powder. Okay. I rush out to the shops and get the brand of powder, then rush back and dump 3 quarters of the powder into the mixing bowl. 

1 t baking powder. Table spoon? Okay. Or is it a tea spoon? I'm just gonna wing it. I take a table spoon and scoop up baking powder. Wow, who would use a 15 milliliter spoon to bake a cake? Oh well. 

2 t baking soda and 1 t salt. Okay. For the baking soda, I get a soda from the fridge and pour it into the table spoon, same with the salt. However, I use two spoons for the soda. Wow, such a weird cake. 

1 c milk. Easy. I take the same cup I used for sugar and pour the milk into it. Wait what kind of milk? Well, I'm making a chocolate cake so maybe chocolate milk. Yum. 

1/2 oil. That's a lot of oil. I take a new oil bottle and pour half of it into the mixing bowl. Yeesh. Oily hands. 

2 eggs, 1 t vanilla and 1 c coffee. Easy. I fry 2 eggs and place them into the bowl; then I take the same table spoon and pour vanilla extract into it. I hope I did it correctly. It may be vanilla flowers though. As for the coffee, I use the same cup as the sugar and milk and pour it into the bowl. Heh, almost done. Just need to mix it and then bake. 

After a long eternity...

Done. Let me call the ninja over to try it! 

Kai POV

Cole called us. I don't know what for. However, I just go. When I arrive, I see Sora, Wyldfyre, Lloyd, Nya, Zane and Arin. We wait a little longer and then Jay arrives. I see Cole pulling out a cake from the fridge. He cuts it into small slices and gives one each to us. I try my piece, not thinking of how it smells like fried egg and oil. But the moment I bring the cake into my mouth, I gag. All the other ninja have the same expression. Lloyd yelled, " Cole! How much sugar did you put in this? It's too sweet!" Sora said, " and oily. Ugh." Jay grimaces, " the cake is too crumbly. Did you put too much flour?" Cole answers sheepishly, " ummm, 13 and a quarter cups..." I yell, "Cole! Are you insane?" The rest of the ninja all have similar reactions while Wyldfyre and Arin facepalm. 

I give you all a warning, ninja. Never let Cole try to cake.
