Some time after, Wu finds the Ninja playing video games instead of training. He gets mad and tells them to do train, but all the ninja do is sit there, until Nya comes in shouting, "LORD GARMADON HAS RETURNED!" The Ninja all race to their dragons and fly off to Jamanakai Village. Turns out, it was just a bratty kid. Lord Garmadon's son, Lloyd, but still a kid. And he wants candy. The ninja aren't letting him get candy, so they discipline him and go home. On their way home they discover a scroll that has some Prophecy on it about a green ninja that will save Ninjago. Obviously, they all think they're the green ninja, especially Kai, so they go home to have a Tournament. Nya goes shopping cause the guys are being stupid. It's the last battle of the tournament, Kai vs. Cole, and Kai sets the training room on fire until Wu comes and puts the fire out. Meanwhile, Lloyd releases some humanoid snakes called the Hypenobrai. The snakes attack Jamanakai Village, where Nya is shopping. The Hypnobrai hypnotize everyone for candy. The ninja come and pretty much just scare of the Hypnobrai. And they got the Hypnobrai staff. But Cole is still under one of the Hypnobrai's control. The next day, the ninja are actually training, Kai is hotheaded, Wu is proud Zane is weird. Then it's dinner time and Zane is still weird so he goes to take out the trash (poor Zane). He finds a falcon and follows it. It leads him to where Lloyd is building a tree house in the middle of nowhere. The next day, Zane takes the other Ninja to the tree house and they all decide to destroy it. Cole turns evil for five seconds and pretty much proves he's the most skilled of the ninja. They crash the tree house and Skales becomes the new leader of the Hypnobrai. Also the Hypnobrai ditch Lloyd. Lots of stuff happens here but I can sum it up short: the rest of the serpentine are free, their leader is a snake called Python who is the last of his tribe. They are looking for the fangblades cause then they can release the great devourer. Zane has a dream about the green ninja, and Wu keeps talking about a true potential. Lloyd gets captured by the Serpentine. There is also a new vigilante in town, Samurai X. Who could this warrior be? Kai knows it's Nya. And Wu left to go find a mysterious someone. The ninja are now looking for the fangblades, when Zane annoys some shopkeeper cause he's weird. Zane was just birdwatching! Anyways, the ninja go follow the falcon (same falcon) halfway across Ninjago. They end up in the birch wood forest. All the ninja are exhausted, except for Zane, who goes ahead by himself. Zane finds out that the falcon is a robot! Zane also goes down into a tree (?) and discovers a shocking secret. The rest of the Ninja come and Zane reveals that he is a robot, too! Everyone is pretty shocked, but Zane is sad and Cole decides they should go and leave Zane alone. Zane regains his memory, and there was a really sad scene. Meanwhile, Jay, Cole, and Kai were getting their butts kicked by these spider things called treehorns. Zane shows up just in time and saves everyone! He also unlocks his true potential! Wow! Also, Wu finds Garmadon, and Garmy has FOUR ARMS! Later, Nya is teaching the ninja important info, but no one is paying any attention but Zane. Jay is mooning over Nya, then Nya gets an allergic reaction to Jay's cologne. Jay tries to make it up by asking Nya on a date, and Nya accepts, despite protective older brother Kai. Jay pricks his finger on the Fangpyre skeleton, which will turn him into a snake. But that's not gonna damper Jay's mood! Jay and Nya go to an amusement park, with Cole, Kai, and Zane there as backup incase the serpentine attack, which they do. Zane, Cole, and Kai are doing a terrible job at being ninjas, so Nya has to leave to save them. Jay, meanwhile, is turning into a snake. He goes to go save Nya, who is in trouble now. But right now she is being Samurai X. Pythor and all the Serpentine find out that Samurai X is Nya! They put her on a roller coaster and Ja saves her. Jay also gets kissed by Nya and unlocks his true potential. And everyone finds out Nya is Samurai X. The next day, everyone is searching for the next fangblade, and it's been made into a trophy. But to get the trophy, Cole has to go see his father, who he's lied to for years. The ninja go visit Cole's father, who thinks they are a dance troupe. Cole's dad decides they're gonna win the Ninjago Talent show. At least the prize is the Fangblade trophy. The serpentine also find out about the fangblade trophy and put together the worst quartet of singing snakes imaginable. Practice isn't going to well for the ninja, and Cole is upset. Time skip to the talent show- Cole is still upset and reveals to his father that 1) he doesn't like dancing and 2) he's a ninja. Cole's dad is not happy, but Cole still wants to win the Fangblade trophy. Also, Pythor is a judge (?). The ninja perform an excellent routine, and they win! Cole's dad forgives Cole :). But Pythor steals the Fangblade and crushes Cole and Cole's dad under some lights! Cole unlocks his true potential! Then everybody is happy, yay. Wu comes back and has Garmadon with him. No one trusts Garmy but Wu. Kai really doesn't trust Garmy at all. Kai confronts Garmy thinking he'll unlock his true potential, but Kai fails. They go to the fire temple, which is where the 3rd Fangblade is. After a strange and pointless battle, Pythor gets the Fangblade and Kai and Lloyd are stuck in the lava. Kai unlocks his true potential, and saves Lloyd. Kai IS NOT the green ninja. BUT LLOYD IS!!!! Yeah, that happened. Garmy is sad. Long story short, Garmy leaves and the ninja get all the Fangblades, and then Pythor takes all the Fangblades, and Wu. Then Pythor takes Wu to the city of oroborus. Then Pythor awakens the great devourer. Devourerie eats Pythor and Wu. The ninja go and try to stop the Devourie from eating the world, but they pretty much fail.   So Garmadon has to come save them. Garmadon saves them but then disappears with the golden weapons. But Wu is alive!
