Jay's POV

Jay was nervous.
Not nervous, nervous, but a normal Jay nervous.
Which meant lots and lots of internal ranting.
You see, Jay was going to ask out his one of his best friend's sister, his lifelong crush ever since he laid eyes on her.
Nya.
Just saying her name could make Jay's heart leap and spin in circles.
He was deeply, inevitably in love with her.
Just one slight problem.

Other guys.
Nya was the popular girl at school, Jay was the nerd, besides Kaylee, Zane, and Pixal.

"Jay?"

"Earth to Jay?" 

"JAY RAIDEN GORDON-WALKER STOP DAYDREAMING RIGHT THIS INSTANT!" 

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screech, falling from my chair and earning lots of looks.

"Liel' you need to calm down." Kaylee sighs.

"Sorry Jay, you wouldn't wake up." My twin, Seliel apologizes, helping me up.

"What were you even daydreaming about?" Kaylee asks.

"Well, uh, Nya." I eep.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" This time it was Kaylee's turn to screech. "OHMIGOSHMOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSH MAH SHIP IS SAILING OMG!!!" 

"Calm down, Nya's gonna hear you, even though she's literally across the school." Seliel rolls her eyes.

"Screw Science, let's go think of ways Jay can ask Nya out!" Kaylee gushes. "AHHH My OTP!!!"

"You read to much fanfiction."

"Hey, I had a sad life before Lloyd finally grew the balls to ask me out." Kaylee shrugs.

"So, you're saying I just need to grow balls?" I timidly ask.

"Good, you're catching on." Kaylee nods. Might I mention, Kaylee is somehow both street-smart, book-smart, meme-cultured, and somehow the cutest, but not to the point of sickening couple with Lloyd. She's also the one who reads the most fanfiction, sue me. Or better yet, kill me.

"My baby bro ain't growing any balls until he's 21 that's how skittish he is." Seliel laughs. Why were we so different! Seliel is definitely the epitome of badass, along with Morro. I feel like they made better siblings than me and her.

"Excuse me, we're seven minutes apart!" I say.

"Best seven minutes of my life!" She sighs.

Before I could make a snappy comeback, the bell rang.

"Anyways, just ask her out. She'll say yes, then be nice to her! Nya doesn't like to be treated like an object, so compliment her, but don't do it excessively. I'll see if she likes you, then we'll plan during Maths. Only, you, me, and Seliel got it?" Kaylee lists off items that I never thought of currently.

"So, is this operation Jaya now?" Seliel asks, popping a piece of bubblegum in her mouth.

"Yup." We near the cafetorium, where our friend-group stays in the corner, but the most chaotic corner. Skylor, Kai, Morro, Zane, Pixal, Nya, Lloyd, Cole, and of course, me, Kaylee, and Seliel. Kaylee walks over to Lloyd and they happily cuddle each other, before setting off to buy food.

"I'd pay thousands to see Lloyd and Kaylee in a meme battle, but somehow still stay madly in love with each other," Skylor says, poking her salad part of her meal.

"Is that, possible?" Pixal asks.

"Definitely, with their reputation, they could easily pull it off." Zane answers.

"Lol. Sucks to be me then." Morro pops a bubble.

"What even is going on usually?" Kai slaps his forehead.

"Really, we are the bringers of chaos, in the forms of normal high school students!" Nya exclaims in a dramatic voice. That's why I love her. So. Freaking. Much. I set down my backpack and bring out my lunch.

"Can we please eat? My mom's gonna kill me if she finds out I didn't eat all of my food, and I want cake tonight." Cole asks.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever, big tear for the cake." Seliel rolls her eyes.

"I thought you were my girl 'Liel!" Cole says.

"Doesn't mean you get a free pass from my wonderous teasing!" Seliel says in a dramatic voice, one that probably could rival Nya's but not quite.

"Was up bitchs!" Kaylee exclaims as she and Lloyd took a seat next to each other.

"Oh yeah, in the Science project guys, what is it?" Lloyd asks.

"OH-SHIT!!!!" Kaylee yelps.

"We didn't do anything because Kaylee went unto full fangirl mode, forgot everything important, said to screw science, then told Jay to grow a pair of balls." Seliel shrugs.

"That is unlike you, but so like you." Zane shakes his head.

"Hey man, shot your shoot. Anyways Lee-Lee wanna watch something at my house later?" Lloyd asks Kaylee, using his pet name for her. Like I said, cute.

"Sure!" Kaylee gives a peck on Lloyd's cheek and he pouts slightly.

"Awwwwww!!!!!!" Nya gushes. "So cute!!!!! You two are a walking fanfiction!" Nya squeals.

"I prefer walking cute-fest. My cousin's going to the light side." Morro fakes a tear.

"Anyways, bout that, who's excited about the new theme park opening! Mega Monster Amusement Park!" Skylor exclaims.

"Oh! I wish I could go there but someone won't let me!" Nya glares at Kai.

"Thanks very much, I want to protect my baby sis!" Kai huffs.

"Why do I feel like we are in a fanfiction?" Pixal asks.

"Pixal, no, don't question reality during lunch." Kaylee shakes her head. She then looks at me with a now-you-know-where-to-take-her look, if that's even possible.

"Morro, I was never on the dark side." Lloyd shook his head.

"Uh, no. You had that one emo phase where you moped around, only wore black, and refused to hang out with me because you were quote on quote depressed." Kaylee rolls her eyes.

"You said you would never tell anyone!" Lloyd cries, latching unto Kaylee.

"Now I did." Kaylee absentmindedly braids Lloyd's hair. "Why is your hair so soft?" She asks.

"He takes forever in the showers." Morro snorts.

"Ah. So a mini Kai?" Nya asks and we all laugh.

"Nah, Kai takes longer!" Lloyd laughs.

 The bell rings.

"DAMNIT I HAVEN'T FINISHED MY FOOD THANKS TO YOU UNCULTURED SWINES!!!" Cole screeches.

"Sorry not sorry." Seliel shrugs.

"FUCK YOU LLOYD GET OFF OF MY LAP I WANT TO GO TO HISTORY!!!" Kaylee yells.

"Fuck me." Lloyd cheekily smiles at Kaylee.

"I-what-FUCK YOU GARMADON!" Kaylee turns a deep shade of red as everyone does the shunning gesture.

"I stand corrected. Lloyd is on the dark side. Little piece of shit." Morro says.

"Come on guys, last time you were late to class, we all got detention," Pixal begs.

"And then due to our, rather, rowdy behavior during detention, we got detention for another week." Zane finishes.

"Good times." Skylor smiles.

"Good times." Kai agrees.

"That was so random, honestly I was surprised no one of us got in trouble. This lunch is a record. I say.

"Indeed it was Jay, Indeed it was." Kai slings an arm around me.

We all part ways, Nya going with Kaylee to History, somehow unlatching Lloyd from Kaylee, Me, Skylor and most of the guys, expect Morro and Cole sadly went to PE, Morro and Cole went to Science, Skylor and Seliel went to String Orchestra. PE was uneventful, with no ball slamming into one's face by accident. But the only bad part about PE? 

They announced fitness testing.

Oh how I hated fitness testing with every ounce of fiber in my body. We all groaned. 

As I walked to History after PE, by myself since I and Cole meet in the classroom to save time, I had a chance to duck in the boy's bathroom to receive and reply to a text.

Kaylee

K: Okay, I asked Nya if she likes you

J: Don't keep me waiting! Does she!

K: She said yes.

Score! I did a small happy dance, before reading the second message.

Kaylee

K: She also said that she wouldn't mind being asked out today too since she has a free schedule. Go get her tiger! ;)

J: Okay, um, Mega Monster Amusement Park, and I'll pick her up at 5?

K: YES YES YES OMG YOU GREW BALLS HAHA LOL 

J: Yes I did. Now stop texting me we can talk at maths.

K: Ugh fine. We're starting the Cold War in History bai.

J: bai

I quickly rush to History, a happy expression on my face. 

"What's gotten you so excited?" Cole asks as the bell rang.

"Nothing. I'm just happy we start a new lesson today!" I manage to lie.

"Okay then." Cole shrugs.

History was uneventful. English was wayyyyyy too long. It finally came the time of Maths and I giddily ran to Math.

"Spill the tea. Jay's looking too happy for his own good." Seliel looks up from her Calculus book. Believe it or not, Seliel was smart if she chose to. No surprise there.

"Nya likes Jayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy and he's asking her out todayyyyyyyy" Kaylee singsongs.

"No way. No fucking way did he grow balls." Seliel gasps.

"Oh yes I did. Thanks for believing in me." I smirk.

"Spill. The. Goddamn. Tea. What are the plans?" Seliel gasps.

"Mr. and Ms. Gordon-Walker and Ms. Harrison please refrain from talking while I'm teaching!" Our teacher asks.

"Sorry Mr. Papadum," Kaylee says. "We're passing notes." She then whispers, getting out a piece of paper. She then hands it to me.

Okay, Okay I was planning on asking her as she walks out since Kai's not there and then asking her if she wants to go to Mega Monster Amusement Park. If she says yes, then I'll tell her that I'll pick her up at 5 then go there, then pay for everything, then bring her back at 8:30. -J

When class ends, we say goodbye to each other, Seliel telling me that she'll wait at my car, Kaylee winking at me before running away to hug Lloyd. I shoulder my backpack, take a deep breath, then run outside. I scan the area before catching sight of a short raven-colored bob of hair working its way through the crowd.

"Uh, Hey Nya!" I stutter. 

"Oh, hi Jay!" Nya greets. She looked wonderful in the sunlight. Wow. The way the sun reflects off her hair, is amazing.

"So, uh, I was wondering if you'd, uh," 

"What?"

"I was wondering, ifyou'dliketogoonadatewithmetoMegaMonsterAmusementParktoday?" I gasp.

"Me, you go on a date to Mega Monster Amusement Park, together? Just us? Today?" Nya asks.

"Oh! I'm so sorry I asked, I'll just leave." I walk away dejectedly.

"Oh, no I'd love to go to Mega Monster Amusement Park with you!" Nya smiles.

"Okay, well, I'll pick you up at 5, and bring you back at 8:30 so Kai or your parents don't kill me. I'll pay, so just bring a jacket or dress warmly!" I ramble.

"Okay, Romeo!" Nya giggles. "See you at 5." We hug, then part ways.

"So! Didya score the girl?" Seliel asks, getting into the electric blue car.

"Yup!" I happily say and Seliel fist pumps.

"Yes!!! Kaylee will be over the moon about this." She says.

"I bet she will." I roll my eyes. Thanks, Kaylee.

Nya's POV

4:30 PM

And I had nothing to wear.

How could I have been so stupid when Kaylee asked me if I liked Jay? 

I blushed like a schoolgirl. I've had a crush on Jay for a pretty long time.

He told me to dress warmly.

Make-up, check!

Shoes, check!

Clothes, no. 

Time to call someone.

Skylor? No, she's probably at her part-time job at her dad's noodle shop. 

Kaylee? No, she's with Lloyd.

Pixal? No, definitely studying with Zane. They want to go to Harvard.

That leaves Seliel.

Oh god, please pick up.

"HEYYYYYYYYYYYY PERSON WHO'S CALLING ME!!! I'm currently not on my phone, so please call me back later as I will not call you back. Later loser!" I groan. Damn you Seliel.

"Why are you wearing makeup for?" Kai asks, poking his head in my doorway. Shit.

"Why is it your business?" I ask sassily.

"Because it's my job to protect my baby sister! Mom and dad are on a work trip and they trust me to take care of you and not burn down the house!" Kai angrily says.

"Jay's taking me to Mega Monster Amusement Park on a date," I said loftily.

"WHAT!" Kai yells.

"Oh please, like you ever had the guts to ask Skylor." I roll my eyes. "And if you had half a brain, you will know I have liked Jay for a long time, now if you will excuse me, I must pick an outfit, since he will be picking me up in about-" I look at the clock. "Ten minutes."

"I-okay, fine you got me. But Jay likes you the way you are, you don't have to dress up to impress him. Just wear blue and he'll be wrapped around your finger." Kai sighs.

"Oh, thank you so much big bro!" I hug Kai tightly, then going to my closet to get my outfit. Black leggings, a light blue t-shirt, and a navy blue jacket. Kai walks out of the room.

"How do I look?" I run out of the room, phone in a purse, twirling around.

"Absolutely stunning." Kai hugs me. "When are you getting back?"

"Jay says he'll drop me off at 8:30" I reply.

"Good dude, he knows curfew." Kai smiles and a car beeps outside, I look out of the window to see Jay in his car.

"Bye!" I wave, and run to Jay's car.

"Hi Nya! You look gorgeous!" Jay smiles.

"Thanks! You look nice yourself! Nice jeans." I comment, making Jay blush.

"Oh, thanks, well, what rides do you wanna go on?" Jay asks. 

"I don't care," I reply honestly.

"Alright then!" Jay grins.

It was an amazing night, as we pull up to the amusement park, toured every game and ride there, Jay even won a plushie for me! I earned a dorky squid hat for Jay, which I told him made him look adorable. The last ride was the Ferris Wheel, and as we went up, Jay asked me a question.

"How was it?" He asked.

"It's The Perfect Date!" I smile, looking at him, then kissing him.

"Oh, uh, that's good!" Jay blushes when we pulled away. The ride came to a stop and we both drove home in a bubbly mood, making jokes, and occasionally a kiss every red light and then. 

"Well, see you tomorrow!" Jay says happily, kissing me on my cheek.

"See you tomorrow, dork." I smile.

"Bye!" We both say as I walked up to my house and walk-in, and fling myself on the bed.
