A bit like the movie version of Ninjago

WARNING: This is a story set in a school shooting if you don't like these kinds of things, then you can leave. There will not be mentions of blood and stuff, but it might be kinda sad.

It's not a fluffy one-shot, but I decided to try it out since I'm not that good at writing depressing things.

NOTE: The guys are in an all-boys school, and the girls are in an all-girls school, but somehow they are public schools, and yeah. Don't mind me.

Synopsis: Lloyd, Kai, Cole, Jay, Morro, and Zane are the most bullied people in their school: Ninjago High. They devise a school shooting to get revenge on their fellow classmates. Meanwhile, their friends: Kaylee, Nya, Skylor, Pixal, and Seliel are joining their school: Ninjago Prep's class trip to Ninjago High coincidentally on the same day they were planning. Kai and Skylor have been dating for a long while, but when the shooting starts, who will be the ones who rise... or fall?

Kai's POV:

"Okay so, the plan is tomorrow." Zane sets the plan on the table. I bite my lip nervously. Should I tell them now?

"Good. Finally, we can-" Cole snarls.

"Wait! We are going to jail if we get caught. Do you really think this is a wise choice?" Jay cuts in, and Lloyd, the youngest of the friend group nods.

"You were on for the plan a year ago. Now, since it's tomorrow, we will not stop!" Cole snaps.

"Kai, what is your input on this? You've been awfully quiet." Zane asks.

"Well, I found out something," I reply.

"What is it?" Lloyd asks.

"So, I found out Ninjago Prep is coming to our school tomorrow."

"And?" Morro presses.

"Nya, Skylor, Kaylee, Seliel, and Pixal are coming." Silence fills the air. You could literally hear a pin drop.

"What. Why didn't you convince them not to come?!?" Cole yells.

"I tried! They wouldn't take no for an answer!" I snap.

"What are we going to do now?" Lloyd asks.

"We're going with the plan." Morro decides. We all protest. "SHUT UP! Right now, I'm your leader, and I tell you what to do. We can't let a few girls stop what we have been planning for a year. Don't you forget how the people treated us?" Morro continues.

"No Morro, we are not doing it." Lloyd shakes his head.

"Is it because of your stupid crush with Kaylee?" Morro asks.

"No! We are not doing-ugh-no!" Lloyd yells.

"You can do it on your own, but we aren't," Zane replies.

"A moment ago, you were all in for it! Now what?" Morro snaps.

"Well, that's before when we found out our friends and family would be at school!" Jay snarls.

"We are not doing it today," Cole says.

"Fine. I'll do it by myself. Leave my house now." Morro sighs angrily. We quickly leave.

At least we aren't doing it.

S: Hey babe. 

K: Hi!

S: Tomorrow, do you and the guys wanna go to my house for noodles? My dad's?

K: Duh! Anything to spend time with you... and the noodles.

S: Haha! Okay then. See you tomorrow!

K: See you!

Skylor's POV:

I get into my uniform. Today Me, Nya, Kaylee, Pixal, and Seliel get to go to the guy's school! I am so excited!

(A/N: This is the school uniform.)

"Skylor come downstairs, your friend is here!" My mom calls.

"Be right there!" I sling my backpack over my shoulders and run down to the front door, whereas expected, Kaylee was there with a smile on her face.

"Here's your lunch and breakfast. Don't be late!" My mom stuffs my lunch in my backpack and hands me a breakfast burrito.

"How's the new model phone coming along?" I ask.

"Oh wonderfully!" Kaylee gushes. "It's a great bonding time for Zane and Pixal, I really think they're in love with each other, and also a great business thing! Borg's company and my dad's company were platonic rivals for so long, but we work together super well! I think maybe my dad's company and Borg's could work together or merge in the near future!" Kaylee was the daughter of Mr. Julien, one of the most successful business owners in all of Ninjago. Her brother was Zane, the brains at Ninjago High. Kaylee, well, was book smart and street smart. So you'd imagine how that went. She joined the cheer squad and the Decathlon team. Her cheers were great and always riled up the crowd, her work on the Decathlon team immaculate.

"That's amazing! Anyways, wanna come over after school? I'm inviting the whole gang, and there's going to be noodles!" I ask.

"Of course! I wouldn't miss it for anything in the world! I love your family's noodles!" Kaylee laughs.

"Speaking of great bonding time with Zane and Pixal, how's you and Lloyd?" I tease.

"I'm not sure, we're still best friends, but I dunno. Maybe he doesn't like me that way." Kaylee mutters.

"Are you kidding me? I've seen the way he looks at you. He's in love with you!" I smile.

"Alright then, whatever you say." Kaylee grins.

We arrive at our school, but instead of going inside, we get on the yellow school bus with all of our other friends.

"Nya! Pixal! 'Liel!" We wave, and take the opposite seat from them.

"How are you two?" Nya asks.

"Great, you?" I reply.

"Amazing!" Seliel says. "I'm so excited!" 

The bus takes off and we chat animatedly, about boys, school, noodles after school-which by the way, they all agreed to. As we pull to a stop, we stare at all of the guys with their casual clothing.

"Remind why we have to wear uniforms?" Kaylee asks nervously.

"I'm not sure." Pixal replies. 

"Eh, whatever." Seliel hops off the bus.

"Whatever?" Nya asks.

"Typical 'Liel," I say.

"Hey, there are the guys!" Kaylee points to a gaggle of kids. Sure enough, it was them.

"But we have to register first!" Pixal says.

"Fineee." Seliel groans.

"You just want to annoy the heck out of them huh?" Nya teases.

"Don't we all?" Kaylee says.

"Alright Ninjago Prep! Take these name tags please! You can choose which classes to go to, but you must stay in that class. Be with a buddy or a group of people at all times! You may go!" The teacher leader, Ms. Antonia, starts to hand out name tags to us. We eagerly take them.

"So, uh. Go to the guys?" Nya asks.

"Duh! Watch this!" Kaylee giggles, and runs sneakily across the field to them. We walk slowly behind her, staring as she puts two hands over Lloyd's eyes.

"Oh! I know what's she doing! Clever girl!" Seliel compliments.

"Guess who!" Kaylee singsong.

"Hmm, sounds like a girl..." Lloyd drags.

"Uh-huh! Who am I?"

"Sounds like someone with lots of happy energy! Kaylee!" Lloyd turns around and tackles Kaylee in a hug.

"You got it right!" Kaylee giggles.

"Hey babe!" I say, hugging Kai.

"Hi! How are you?" Kai asks.

"Amazing, now that you're next to me!" I smile.

The bell rings.

"So what are you guys going to do?" Cole asks.

"Follow you around and attend all of your classes. Duh." Seliel replies.

"Really?" Kai asks.

"Yup!" Nya replies, staring into Jay's eyes lovingly.

"Stop it! Ugh my innocent eyes!" Seliel fake moans.

We all laugh. I give a quick peck on Kai's cheek and then turn to everyone. "So uh, what's the plan?" 

"You guys can follow us, if you want." Lloyd offers.

"Sure!" 

Soon we all went to class, it was boring, but with the occasionally "Bathroom trip" with Kai, it was bearable. (NO NOT THAT YOU PERVERTS IN THE FUTURE!!! ONLY CUDDLING, HUGS, AND LITTLE KISSES) Soon we all met up for lunch.

"I swear if you and Kai are any cuter that Jay and Nya I will throw up rainbows in the nearest trash can." Seliel pops some bubblegum in her mouth.

"You guys did take a plethora of bathroom trips outside." Pixal obverses.

"It was nothing!" We both hastily say.

"Nothing... All right then." Zane turns back to his homework. The fire alarm suddenly rings, which sends everyone in a panic, running out into the halls. We move to, but then Kai stops me.

"Don't go out there. It's what he wants." He pleads.

"What who wants?" Nya asks.

"Morro," Lloyd whispers.

"Huh, I wondered why he wasn't here. Figured he was sick." Seliel comments.

"So, uh, we were going to tell you this but..." Cole starts.

"Tell us what?" Pixal asks.

"We uh, well planned a shooting a year ago, but then we stopped because yeah and Morro's still doing it."

"You what?" Kaylee asks.

"It was a misunderstanding! We had our doubts but Morro pushed us!" Kai begs.

"You could have told him that you weren't doing it," I say, disgusted. How could they? How could they all?

"We, we were bullied. We wanted revenge so our viewing wasn't right." Zane mutters.

"How-how could you!" Kaylee bursts out. "We trusted you... you what? I trusted you! And you planned this... I'm just numb that you didn't do it. I-we all trusted you. Even looked up to you or love you." Kaylee runs away, sniffling. 

"Kaylee! Wait! Please!" Lloyd calls after her, and starts to follow but are stopped by Nya and Seliel.

"I can't believe you all." We run off after her.

Kai's POV:

What had just happened? 

Why did we do that?

We just lost some of the most important people in our lives.

"We messed up so badly." Cole breathes.

"If we stay out in the open, we won't be safe. I know where we should hide." Zane quickly wipes away his tears.

"Alright then." I sigh. We go into a broom closet, and Zane locks it. He explains that he had the key because of something... I couldn't even bother to hear. Lloyd's soft sniffles could be heard in the corner of the dark closet.

"You okay Lloyd?" I ask, walking over to him.

"No. I just lost the literal love of my life, right before I was going to tell her. I was going to tell her, then give her this and I messed everything up. I'm the worst person ever." Lloyd starts sobbing, clutching a little necklace. I stare at it. On it was a picture of her and him smiling with the words, Love You 3000 in cursive.

"It's not your fault. It's all of ours. Come here." I take the sobbing boy in my arms. "I also lost Sky and Nya. I hope they can forgive us, but now, we just need to pray that we will all make it out alive, then make amends." I reassure.

"C-c-can you tell me how you confessed to Skylor?" He asks.

"Of course. It was a normal day, and after, I was planning to meet with Skylor at her dad's noodle store. When I got there, Sky was being harassed by an older guy. I stopped him, and we had a talk about friends and stuff, and when her dad was closing up, I said it. I said those words and I found out that she also loved me." 

"I liked that story." Lloyd watery eyes look up at me, the corner of his lips turning up into a smile.

"That's nice. I liked that story too." I smile. I have always thought of Lloyd as a younger brother.

"I know Kaylee will forgive us, but what about the others?" Zane asks.

"Pixal might forgive us, but Seliel, Nya, and Skylor? Tough." Jay replies.

"Yeah." Cole sighs.

We then hear a scream rippling through the halls, then the slamming of the cafeteria doors.

"Where are they?" Someone asks.

"We need them! Sky and Kaylee are shot! We need to get out of here!" 

"Sky." I gasp.

"Kaylee." Lloyd and Zane gasps.

"In the closet over there!" Someone starts jiggling the door. Zane quickly unlocks it, and Pixal topples over into our little hiding spot. "Help! Kaylee and Skylor have been shot!" 

"Is it bad?" Zane asks.

"We're not sure, we ran because he almost saw us." Seliel stutters.

"Come on, let's go," Cole says.

We follow the two girls to 2 bodies on the floor, one above the other. 

"You're here! Quick does someone know first-aid? Kaylee's shot in the stomach!" Skylor whispers.

"Did you stop the bleeding?" Zane asks.

"No, I used my jacket to stop my bullet wound on my leg, but now I should have..." Skylor groans.

"It's not your fault Sky, you didn't notice." Kaylee gasps, her eyes slowly losing their sparkle.

"Come on Kaylee." Zane picks her up, bridal-style, and starts running towards the exit.

"It hurts." She whimpers.

"I know, I know. It'll all be over soon." Zane whispers, trying not to let tears fall. I quickly help Skylor run to an exit, along with Nya. 

"We'll run-up ahead and get an ambulance." Seliel and Jay run, and soon paramedics run in, along with the police. Zane gets Kaylee on the gurney and we help Skylor on another gurney. They rush away, with us in tow. We then see them lifting them into the ambulance.

"Only one person may accompany each of them. Make it quick." A paramedic replies.

"Zane you go with Kaylee and Kai, you go with Skylor, as for the rest of us, we'll catch up. Ninjago Hospital, right?" Nya commands.

"Alright then." Me and Zane both hop in the cars. I sit by two other paramedics and hold Skylor's hand.

"You feeling alright Sky?" I ask. 

"Kind of. I'm more worried about Kaylee, she got an oxygen mask put on her, and she was swarmed with paramedics. Poor girl, it could have been anyone else. Anyone but her." Tears leaked from Skylor's face.

"I know, I know." I soothe. "But I know Kaylee's a strong girl, she'll make it out. She's probably fighting to stay alive right now."

"She was so heartbroken..." Skylor sobs.

"I know. But she'll make it out." 

"It's all my fault. When he took the second shot at my head, Kaylee jumped in. If I didn't walk to the exit then she wouldn't..." Skylor winces as a needle was pushed into her.

"It wasn't your fault, she did it to protect you." 

"I-okay." We make it to the hospital, where paramedics rush her out into a waiting room. I sit on a chair with her, as the doctor ran in and told us that she needed surgery. They put her under a sleeping thing and before she passed out, I pressed a kiss to her forehead.

"Love You For A Thousand Years," I whisper as she was pushed out. I meet up with Zane in the waiting room. Tear-tracks stained his cheeks as he stared off into the distance. "How are you buddy?" I ask.

"Terrible. She was crying. My baby sister was crying and I couldn't even help her. She fell unconscious even before they hit her with the sleeping draught. She might not make it... and it's all my fault." Zane sobs.

"I'm so sorry. I would feel the same if it was Nya. Skylor's right now okay, she's also worried for Kaylee, but I know she's going to make it out alive." I reassure.

"You know, you would make a great therapist." Zane smiles.

"Nah, I'd be a video gamer on YouTube over anything." I joke. The rest of everyone runs in through the doors.

"The parents are signing in, but they said we could go first," Pixal explains.

"Is everyone okay?" Nya asks.

"Physically, yes. Mentally, no." Zane replies.

"Well, at least we can endure it together." Pixal hugs Zane.

"Do you forgive us?" Jay asks.

"Of course." Nya, Pixal, and Seliel smile. "We already did. And don't worry. We'll keep it a secret." 

"You guys are the best." Cole smiles.

We wait in the waiting room for god knows how long until Skylor was first pulled out. Then, it was family only. Kaylee came out next. We sighed a gasp of relief that they were both okay and then we were forced to go home.

~Time Skip To 1 Week~

Skylor's POV:

I was resting my leg at my house. The doctor said that after this week, it'll be as good as new. It's not as bad as Kaylee, who was hospitalized for 2 weeks, only waking up from her coma the day before. She was at home resting, probably studying to catch up on the homework assignments. Morro was apprehended and everything about it stayed silent, except for the fact that the president of Ninjago declared that gun control will now be a law, which enforced the rules of guns, basically banning guns from Ninjago, expect from the military. (Honestly why can't America do this Canada is the best.) I had a knock on my bedroom door.

"Come in!" I reply, and Kai opens the door with a teddy bear and chocolate. He's been sending me little trinkets and food, which was sweet of him.

"Hi babe." He placed a quick kiss on my forehead, set down the gifts, and sat on my bed. "How's the leg feeling?" 

"Great. After today, I can finally go to school and do normal stuff." I cheer.

"That's amazing sweetheart." Kai pulls me in for a cuddle. "Wanna watch a movie? Your parents and mine said I could stay the night. My stuff's downstairs." I nod happily.

"Can we watch The Avengers?" I ask.

"Sure, haven't seen that one yet. I'll make the popcorn if you'll set it up?" I nod and set it up. We cuddle together, watching the movie, and I soon fall asleep. Before I get pulled over to dreamland, I hear Kai's voice.

"Love You For A Thousand Years."
